Kitty fumbled around, pacing between the beautiful walls of the willow tree and the court of tall bushes. A fountain sat in the middle of the court, a samuri posing for battle as water flowed from his blade to match the layers of water riveting down the sides of his robe. Kitty's chestnut hair flowed this way and that as she paced faster, trying to figure things out.
Last night had been...distraction. She'd been floating about in the pool at midnight and Bobby had visited her. He'd practically spilled his guts about he and Rogue's rocky relationship and how confused he was by it. One thing had led to another and they'd kissed...right before Kitty had knocked her head on the pool floor and went unconscious. Bobby had saved her life and given her yet another kiss. They'd decided then that they wanted to be with one another, despite Bobby's relationship with Rogue. So, Kitty had been the one to offer to tell her, their friend, that Rogue was to lose the one thing she loved and could sort of have in her life. Now, Kitty was just too terrified that Rogue would hate her and tried to drain the life out of her for it- that she couldn't stand still.
She'd slipped the piece of paper under Rogue's door in the middle of the night, her neat script saying:
Japanese Gardens, 11am
It had kept Kitty up all night trying to understand what to say and how to say it. She cared for Rogue, even envied her. Though, Rogue would never understand why even if Kitty explained it. Everyone had sought Rogue's attention when she'd arrived, trying to impress her with their gifts. Kitty had been easily overlooked.
But now, Bobby's eyes were on her, he'd made a desert rose out of ice for her, he'd saved her life and kissed her. Because he declared that he loved her. He even threatened to scream it at he mansion at 1 am. And strangely, Kitty loved him back. So for once, she'd don something for herself and stepped out of the sidelines to do what she wanted...and it just so happened that that led to hurting Rogue.

She had been looking at the message, she already knew about them. She saw them accidentally, she had made plans to leave the school. Rouge went to the meeting place and threw her stuff in front of Kitty. Before Kitty was a bunch of stuff given to Rouge, her x-men outfit on the top, she crushed the gift Bobby gave her and placed her hands on her hips. She felt nothing any more, she was just cold. She had nothing left to lose.
"You can save your I am so sorry bunch of bull shit" She seemed to hiss out. "You were supposed to be my friend and yet you betrayed me. I should just kill you, I can do that very easily. But why waste my powers on you, you mean nothing to me" She didn't know if Bobby was going to show, but now she didn't care.
"I am leaving the school, you have destroyed what was good in me" She said, she felt like a monster, now because of them. She was a monster now.

Kitty blinked, tears at her eyes. "Rogue, wait, please, we didn't, I don't want you like this. Don't do this, please. We're your friends, we care about you. I care about you." Kitty couldn't think straight. She loved Bobby, but they'd not even sent a lot of time together. Slow, ideal resolve settled in her heart. "Rogue..." her voice took a new tone, quiet and slow. "If you had Bobby back...and I was out of the picture....would you stay?" She looked to Rogue, sincerity in her eyes. Kitty and Bobby had rushed into things fast. And Piotr was always in the back of Kitty's mind. Maybe Rogue and Bobby should have just stayed together and Kitty shouldn't have butted in. "I don't want you to go, Jean wouldn't have wanted that," She paused. "Logan wouldn't want it either. You know that." She hoped Logan's connection to her would hep Rogue see more. "Rogue, stay, take back what is yours..." She waited, hoping it would work.
Rogue belonged with the Xmen, belonged with Bobby. And Kitty could always see about her interests in Piotr.
"Stay..." Kitty begged, a tear fell from one, brown eye and down her pale cheek. "Drain me for revenge and just stay. Take Bobby back and stay." Kitty begged further, and she meant it.

She didn't know what to do, she thought she was just a monster. But she looked down and changed her tone. "He want's someone he can touch. I..." Rogue shook her head. "He made his choice, now the two of you have to deal with the choices you both made" Rogue was so hurt she didn't know what to say. She looked up, it was a gloomy day. She was so numb now, nothing seemed to matter. She had thought about suicide, but she didn't know if she could do that
" You are lucky, you can actually touch things and it will not die. No one will ever know what it's like, to be someone you cannot touch?" She sighed
"I am poison" She turned looking at Kitty, something inside Rogue made her walk back over to her. Revenge? she didn't know the feeling. Rogue had put her gloves back on, she hugged Kitty.
"Love him Kitty" she said softly, holding Kitty close

Kitty blinked back her surprise. Her arms came up to hug Rogue back. "I do know what it's like actually....Lately, I have to focus to even solidify again. It's...confusing. But honestly...I have a feeling Bobby won't stay long with me either...maybe you'll have your chance again sooner than you think..." She hugged Rogue tightly, a tear rolling down her cheek and onto Rogue's shirt. Kitty sniffed and pulled back, "I love you, Rogue, please don't leave. And..don't do anything you'll regret." She tried to catch Rogue's gaze. "Okay?"

Kitty was special that she knew. When she looked at Kitty in the eyes it made her grow soft. She didn't know what to do, what to say to her. She was still hurt, friends were not supposed to steal boyfriends, but in the back of her mind. She knew Bobby wasn't happy with her, that was seen. She nodded at Kitty and held her, she closed her eyes.
"I don't think he knows what he wants. " She said and sat down, she had a bad head ache

Kitty smiled softly, trying to comfort her friend. "I don't think he does either...It made no sense when he told me everything at the pool the other night then suddenly said he'd thought of me so much." She frowned and stared at the ground. "When you got here....everyone was so interested, all the guys tried to impress you...they never even looked at me."

She sat down and closed her eyes and rubbed her temples she had one hell of a head ache .She sighed a bit. "If that damn cure would have stayed, I could be with someone. But who want's a girl friend you cannot touch. I can't even hold a rose in my hands" She started to cry silently. She didn't know what to think any more, she was so confused.

Kitty wrapped an arm around her lightly. "I don't know what that's like, Rogue, but I know...that if anyone can make it happen...you can." She smiled, sincere in her words to the girl. "Rogue, you're one of the strongest people I know, I look up to you, do you even know that?" She sighed and stared at the stones of the fountain. "And I want to ask something important of you...for that very reason."
