Steve had attended the party and wore the right tux...for once. So far in love's lane he had struck out two times, but, perhaps dating would only interfere with his plans? Anyway he had pulled the right bond moves, got the ladies on the dance floor, stole a pass code key then snuck up stairs to sneak into the vault. A fight ensued, nothing too heavy, and he was out of there before the back up came to check up on the regulars.
Finding his helicopter on the roof he turned on the engine and activated a special beacon that would alert Cable of his success. Descending into the bowels of the ship he felt the copter rest among all the other special vehicles. Hopping out he stretched his arms and threw off the damn tie he wore. "Honey I'm home!" He said with a smirk.

"Gather you had fun. " cable walked in to the room he had been meditating when he sensed tthe man coming. "i do hope that its got your blood pumping because the fun and games are going to hit the fan soon enough." The disk floated out of Stevens pocket and flew to his hand. he looked it over as he placed it in a devices with in a few moments a hologram of a list appeared. A large list of names apeared and after a few moments it stooped at a name Charles Xavier. "there we go just what i wanted." he looked at the name again as a date and number merged beside it. "intresting this may be a bit more complex than i had hoped."

"I always do," Steve said as he noticed his boss walk into the room. I suppose I woke him from a cat nap, he noted as he felt the disc float from his pocket. "If the fun is getting my blood pumping, that always means there is more fun to swallow." Watching Cable place the disk into a device a hologram of names floated in the air. It began to categorize them and analyze them...marking each one with numbers and stuff besides them. When Charles Xavier's name came up he raised an eyebrow. "What do you got? All I see is the name of founding father who created that mansion and safe haven for mutants. Something futuristic I should know about?" Steve loosened his collar and leaned up against the copter curious about what news would hit the fan now.

"No alien The x men use some alien technology." a few seconds later Xavier face appeared. " Fancy helping me with a small snatch and grab?" in truth there was nothing simple or small about kidnapping the worlds most powerful mind reader. Luckily cable had as much skill and power as he did. "fancy picking a fight with some of the most skilled and highly trained mutants on earth?" he hoped the man was going to like the challenge

"Maybe in a bit," Steve laughed as he ran a hand behind the back of his head. "I know you intend on kidnapping Xavier, other wise his holographic image wouldn't have spurt forth from the disk you asked me to steal. Point is I'm rather exhausted. First I meet an exotic beauty named Black Cat, then of course I just follow her lead on nothing romantic...play the good guy and form no friendship and let her on her way. Then I meet this woman...Jean Grey. Really hot, but, soon she becomes this wild Phonenix, like the one on Alcatraz island...which is where I found her. I couldn't bring Jean back and she fled into the sky with a caw like sound as she spread her wings.
I sort of knew her heart always belonged to another, I just thought I'd try and place a spot for myself. So technically I'm not physically exhausted...I'm emotionally exhausted." Steve walked past Cable and clasped his hands at the small of his back.

cable laughed hard at what he said. "the man name is Scott summers and he is one of the x men the woman is probaly one of the most dangerous mutants on earth. your a braver than me for even trying to hit on her, any way i was not talking about now we would need the whole team to do this. so are you up for the challenge?"
He was shocked at the news the phonex was back sooner than he had ever hoped. Things were picking up faster than he had hoped apocalypse was not here but his agents were working behind the scenes. Jean was going to vanish soon and his mother was going to take her place. then all the fun will start and people will be fight and dieing.

"Yeah I've heard about Scott," Steve smiled, "he is a leader through and through, quite serious at times, has an optic blast that can send any person flying. He is the main man in Jean Grey's life, that much was evident when I first met her. The pain was there...and even as I fought to bring her out from the Phoenix...it was a futile attempt on my end. She loves Scott...that won't change." Steve knew that it was a part of maturity by accepting loss and moving on, and, to simply mourn over what could have been...well...that was for another time he was sure. Hearing about the challenge he knew that without any ties to that place, he would have no physical limitations there.
"When you have your team assembled...I'll be on board. Right now...I need a cold one. My mind can only face so much hardship in one day. By the way, how did your meeting go with Adam after I left?" Steve inquired as he turned down a hallway and suddenly stepped back having noticed a room filled with ravaging creatures with several tentacles and sharp razor teeth snapping at him.

Cable pulled a beer out and let it go it floated over to the man and he got one for him self. "the Joys of being able to read minds. "women are a problem and you made a safe dodge there jean attempt at one point to destroy a lot of people over two planetary empires." Cable took a sip of his beer "My clone killed my wife so i know how things go." he laughed again. " it is hard the whole woman thing. I know the answer to that but i will not spoil the surprise for you. all i can say is don't give up."

Steve caught the cold beer and downed half of it instantly. Beer was always easy for him, unlike the harder stuff then he had to sit and wait for it to settle. He was one of the few people who couldn't get intoxicated fast, and, that led him to win many drinking contests when he was working undercover. "I suppose that is one way of looking at it. The thing is, the Phoenix wanted to roast my flesh and beat my record of 7 minutes being dead. She was intense and after a while she just left, my words I suppose gave her reason to leave and just always ask the question what if?" Steve listened to his story about his wife and felt sorry for him. Women were indeed hard to read, let alone get into a relationship, as he found out.
"I suppose the only way I'll get a woman is if she knocks me from behind. Seeing them upfront is never a good idea, becasue your eyes are burned with the impression of them leaving. By the way...why the carnivorous like animals on here?" He asked sipping his drink.

cable shrugged. "some thing i picked up on my travels every one has to have a pet. Women are hard to read i still get no clue on what they are thinking. Asking the what if is some thing we all end up doing i do it every day. What if i was sent in to the future would i of died? Probably but i would of been with my parents. I think have the challenge of dating is the hunt winning, it makes it far more sweeter when you win if you have failed from time to time. it dose not change what ever time you are in." he took a sip of the cold beer.

Steve sighed and knew Cable's philosophy won in the end. No matter how many times one was hurt, there was always a new venture across the horizon. It was how people fared in the days of traveling by ship, they left loved ones to meet new ones, then the cycle began again. Life was increasingly difficult to predict, but, Cable said that things don't change no matter what period one is in. So, he should take it to heart. "Women, can't live with them, can't live without them, and most certainly can't rid their existence for they are keys to our hearts." Downing the rest of his beer he looked over at Cable and set his cold beer on a table in a rather nice looking table. "So Cable, by kidnapping Xavier, what uber disaster are you wishing to avoid?" Better question, he thought, how long do you intend to hold him once you have extracted him from the mansion?

"None, we will hold him till the x men come and collect him. they don't have a functioning team and they need one. so i got to thinking them what one thing would they be willing to risk every thing to save. The answer is simple there Father and my God Father. So they will have to push a team together and come here to take him back. we all know they will fight and die for him, so we will let them become ready and once they are ready they can have him back. The team will then help stop several major attacks on earth by mutant's and aliens alike." he rested his hand on the banister looking over the water. "soon i am going to open the door of the island of providence to the world. when i do i am going to need some one to run security fancy it?"

Steve nodded his head along to Cable's plan. "It does make sense, I mean, to hold the fatherly figure of mutants under lock and key will enable their leadership. From what I know, Cyclops is the second in command when Xavier isn't there. So that will defeintly inspire the team to form together. It has been a while since they were a team, and, having a team means knowing risks when they send people in. Mutants banding together, now, if only the brotherhood and Xavier's mutants can make amends. Though, it would take something as big as Apocolypse rising in order for them to form." Steve propped his feet up on the table and looked over at Cable from the corner of his eyes. "Security huh? Much danger in that area?" He inquired raising an eyebrow and placing his hands behind his head.

"this island has the most advance tech on the world. So i sure we will not have many problems when we start to get more people living here they will have to agree to the rules. a utopia is what i am hoping for it should work. Then we can show the world that there is an option that dose not need money and wealth to live. If people move here money will be banned we will all pull togeather to get the job done and we have the ablity to make enough food for people

"A utopia huh? An interestring prospect, though how can we guarantee happiness in such a prosperous place? What about the people who yearn for action and mayhem? What about those who want to get their hands dirty or enjoy the thrill of a chase? Can we possibly offer these thrill seekers that in a utopia filled enviroment? I'm just looking at this from the stand point view of those who would be against this." Steve said as he stared over at Cable; looking to see if he would interject or have an argument to back up his proposal. Of course he wasn't against being security, as that detailed a lot of work and plenty of running should things go awry.
