It was not something that Sooraya was entirely comfortable with. It was not so much a problem with the means as it was a problem with the method. She was in an apartment 16-F, rented out to a Mister Homer Rusopio. In actuality, it was a safe house for the brotherhood. Most of the work was stocking supplies, and most of them were unconventional by any standards other than the Brotherhood. Instead of anything conventionally, dangerous, the room was set up to work with the tricks of the trade of various Brotherhood members. Quite a few of the knickknacks around the house were metallic, for one. Two of the cabinets were filled to the brim with disposible BICs, strike-anywhere matches and other such things.
There was food there, which was the purpose of Dust’s particular visit. Even things which could stand weeks left alone without refrigeration needed to be occasionally replenished. Milk and some such would have to be replaced too often. With the number of safe houses maintained around the city, this would be too much work. So, it was basically soda crackers and peanut butter. Nothing fancier than that was needed. It was not designed for long term stays. A night perhaps, maybe only a few hours. It was for the times when returning to base would be too dangerous. Other than power-specific objects, the place was rather bare-boned. A mattress without a frame, made up in now fresh sheets. A police scanner and a television, both designed to make sure the coast was clear before leaving.
Having set everything up, Sooraya turned into thousands of grains of sand. She moved through a crack in the wall, not designed for her specifically but useful none-the-less. She did not reform until she was a couple buildings down, and on ground level at that. She solidified in an alley way and began to walk toward a nearby park.

Xander Straford had been a member of Magneto's brotherhood for sometime now. Sure not much action had been happening of late, but still, it was a place he called home. Approaching the safe house after finishing up a mundane mission of mess with the X-Men he noticed sand disappearing through the wall. The safe house was a house that they would use on occassion when they could not return back to the fort. It had the necessities in order to survive, including food that wouldn't go stale on them. A high powered scope was used to check out targets from a safe distance, and, police scanners notified them if any cops were on the beat. Static filled the scanner and his blue eyes focused on who had been there.
"Looks like something I need to look into." Only the brotherhood knew of this place, so, it would seem like they had a new member. Stuffing his hands in his pockets he went to take the stairsa nd wondered who that was. The power to turn every molecule in the body to sand, must be handy on quick escapes. Opening the door into daylight he caught sight of a woman covered from head to toe in a clothing that revealed little of who she was. Can't say there are many girls jumping at the chance to be evil, except for my beloved Lynx. Following behind her he coughed innocently and walked ahead of her.
"So...your in the brotherhood huh?" Xander asked as he stood near a tree and waited for her answer. She didn't look like a brotherhood member, seeing how they were a tight knit highly destructive bunch.

"I am sorry, I know nothing of what you speak." She did not make extended eye contact with the man, a glance if that. Sooraya continued on her way without stopping to engage the man in any further conversation. It was not a fear in her eyes so much as a flash of anger when she saw him. Sooraya made a quick left turn, moving away from what seemed to be her initial destination, the park and instead moved toward a nearby street, presumably because it was busier than something which was built for the sake of seclussion.

Xander laughed and followed behind her. "Yeah, funny thing, running away doesn't stop you from who you are...it is always with you. I know your with the brotherhood on account of seeing you in the makeshift safe house that havens us when we can't make it back to the place of comfort. Did Magneto send you out on a mission?" Xander inquired further as he was now walking side by side with her. Clearlys he had a destination to go to, but, she was straying from the park which he assumed was her destination. She must be on a secret mission, he noted further, other wise the secrecy and the fact she is eluding a fellow brotherhood member would not be so...this.

"I thought I was done talking at you." Sooraya said with a glare. "I do not know what games you are trying to play, sir, but they are not funny. Oh! Find the muslim girl and accuse her of being in a terrorist group. You disgust me." She continued to walk, turning her head to see if she was still being followed.
Who was this guy? Surely the X-men were at least a little more subtle. Perhaps this was some sort of trick. A ploy to have her underestimate them? If it was it was certainly working. There was a bit of a bind to it all. She could dispatch of this antagonist quickly, even make a clean get away. However, her assumption that a public place would allay his persuit had proven itself wrong and further it meant she was less free to use her abilities. Certainly, it was within protocal to flaunt what -- what was the term? -- that which puts them above insects. Still, there were times for silence and this at least was one. She would have to stay her desires for the moment.

"Hey hey...first of all I did not know you were muslim," Xander said once again keeping up with her. His physical shape allowed him to endure many long runs, and, luckily his endurance allowed him to chase down foes without running out of breath. "Also, if I were playing games you would know...seeing how I like to play that long torturing game. My name is Xander, I work with the brotherhood. I wasn't really there when Alcatraz happened, and, I wasn't really a part of the alkalai lake stuff, but consider me the newb of the bunch. I've been a part of the group and I'm telling you...your part of his group as well."
Xander made a bold move and moved in front of the girl. Standing his ground he stared at the only part of her that was visible...her eyes. She clearly thought he was playing games, and, judging by the way her eyes went around he knew she was looking to dispose of him. Fat chance of that, he thought, I happen to have a lot to live for...and seeing how she is the first brotherhood member I've seen in quite some time, screw the whole letting her walk away. Where is she going anyway? He folded his arms and tapped his foot waiting for some explanation that would suit his taste.

"You did not? The full niqaab was not a clue? Where else would you find munaqqabah? Among the Hindus?" She did not bother translating either word for him. Her eyes narrowed as he went into his own involvement with the organization. "I do not care what games you play or that you are a 'newb' or what you do or do not do with them. Leave me be. This is your final warning." She took her index finger and thrust it toward him in a threatening motion. "The last man who did not understand the words, "Leave me be" no longer has skin attached to his bones."
She pivoted to get around him. "You are an X-man at best, lawda. Why else would you be so eager to prove your involvement with criminals?"

Xander was a tad confused by her words. They made no sense what so ever and the way her eyes narrowed he could see doubt she even thought his story was plausible; let alone acceptable. Once again she went on with the games and he rolled his eyes thinking this girl had too much time on her hands. When she pointed her finger at him with her threat planted on her covered mouth he didn't flinch once. This wasn't the first threat he had received from a girl, let alone from a disbeliever about the organization of the brotherhood. Lately they had been falling out, and, those who remained had other jobs while still being in contact with the brotherhood. Xander sighed as he watched her pivot around him and was using her language on him again.
"Don't even get me started on those babies," he said, "they make me sit just locked up in that mansion training and doing nothing about the threat that surrounds us. You can call me an X-Men wannabe all you wish; however give me a test to prove I am the real deal...the all mighty brotherhood. I can quote you a speech used by Magneto, I could show the tatoo of initiation. We're supposed to be team mates here...not enemeies." He stated standing behind her.

Sooraya began to walk away but shook her head, turning toward Xander. "You really understand nothing, do you, lawda? How can you do anything of value if you are not trained? You cannot open a book and simply read. You must be taught. If knowing that makes one a child, I would hate to see what you call someone without a plan."
She folded her arms in front of her chest. "As for you and your test: I do not care if you are of the Brotherhood; I do not care if you are not of the Brotherhood. It is not my concern. I do not care for your tattoos. I consider them a waste for a number of reasons. I do not care for for your speeches. Memorizing words without knowing the meaning is not wisdom.
I have somewhere to be and someone to be with. The place is not your concern and the person is not you. So, I say to you, goodbye." She turned on her heel and started to walk away again.
