Logan carried a stack load of books over to his class and tried to open it. The door wasn't budging and his class was going to be here to be...in class soon. Options were running out for him, so, feeling the length of his adamantium claws spring forth he inserted one claw in and popped the lock out. "They should really give me a spare key," he noted as he used his shoulder to inch the door forward.
Moving into the class was a easy process, one that didn't take a lot of time for any teacher. The only problem is, he had been mourning his loss for so long, he plum forgot about his class starting today. Setting the books down on the table he felt his claws sink back into his flesh and he took a seat behind his wooden desk. "Wish me luck Professor," he sighed as he clasped his hands together mentally preparing himself.

Bobby Drake stared up at the ceiling anxiously, his hand itching to grab the phone should it ring. Rogue apparently had been avoiding him, and each attempt to call her went directly to voice mail. He had said the three letter word, so what? At this point in their relationship they should be able to vocalize their feelings for one another without getting that silence. "Pick up Rogue...please," Bobby willed the phone to ring, willed her to call...but nothing. Then he remembered he had Logan's class toady. Damn, he thought, I guess the matter of the heart will have to wait.
Shoving his books into his bag he threw on some clothes, a blue shirt over pants and fled out of the room. Crashing into the wall as he slid from the ice he pushed off and continued to run. Being able to manipulate ice was fun and essential, but if he was late to Logan's class, he'd be cleaning up the board in no time. Finding the room he opened the door and seemed to find his eyes on the desk. "Morning Professor Logan," Bobby said as he went to take his seat. I wonder what class Storm assigned him, he thought as he set his bag down.

Logan waited for a while, wondering if anyone would show at all. This class taught the basics of fighting and the essentials of a mission undertook. It was a class that would keep any promising student alive when they took the field someday. Hearing the door open he noticed young Bobby Drake walk in. He seemed to think that he was too drawn in to his desk to even give him a second look. Hearing the bag hit the floor and the curteous morning call he nodded his head.
"Morning Bobby...you're late," he said lifting his head and rising up with a smile on his lips. "You probably thought you'd ice your way in here with a smile placated on your face and think you'd escape my wrath huh? Since this is the first day I'll let your tardiness slide, but, just this once. Now...in typical school fashion here is your slyabus." Taking the paper from his desk he slammed it on his desk. "Please read silently...while I read aloud." Logan cleared his throat and looked over at Bobby seeing if he was following or not.

Bobby felt nervous as Professor Logan began to approach him. It was weird getting used to calling him that, even in thought, but he seemed to be nicely sorted into this. Logan had a way with authority, and, he always looked out for the younger mutants with care. Though, hearing that he had been caught he took back what he said. I'm likely to be cleaning erasers till I'm old and...balding. Logan played a fast one on him though, instead of having him stay after, he merely gave him a warning for next time. Bobby swallowed in relief and went to take out his notebook.
The slyabus was a white paper that usually explained class rules and grading scales to keep the student up to date and from asking questions along the line. Staring down at the number one he noted that it said, 'be on time'. Bobby laughed nervously and continued to read the rules. There were a lot of them, and, seeing how he had been on a few filed missions already, he would probably be the ace in the class. "Uh Professor...question? It doesn't say on here how we will be graded. Aren't there essays, research papers, anything like that in here?"

Gabriel came in too late. But he seemed careless. "Sorry the old man called" and how old. Gabriel sncikered at this tought and took an empty place nexto Bobby, as if nothing was wrong. He barened his fangs in a smirk. "I don't have the feeling you started yet" his impaling blue eyes were fixen on Logan. And his smirk only widened.

Logan let out a sigh of impatience as Bobby asked an obvious question. Before he answered though he saw Gabriel come in late. This student had no sense of time, though, letting Bobby go from a detention he figured he would go easy on the students today. "Alright, since your late Gabriel, this is your only warning like Bobby. I maybe your teammate on the field, but, that doesn't mean I cut you corners in my class. Here is your slyabus, look it over carefully." Logan walked over to his desk and sat down on it.
"Bobby, we won't be doing essays in this class. There is no hard math that you need to figure out, that is in Beast's class. This class is all about survival and using your powers on the field to help you survive. Each of you will be given an assignment, one that delves into your fear and strengthen it so that if it comes up in real life or on a mission...you will be able to do it. Bobby...why don't you tell us something about fear?" Logan wore a smirk and knew Gabriel would be acting cool since he wasn't called.

Bobby tried to not be disappointed by this. Ok, so what if he liked essays? Essays often delved into a person's personal thoughts and were relayed on paper to get a point across. His favorite type of essay was persuasive, that one meant he could get personal with something that mattered to him the most. Then Gabriel came in. Gabriel seemed to do this a lot, as he had him in a few of his classes before. Still, it wasn't nice to say rude things about someone, so, he tried to keep quiet. It wasn't like he knew Gabriel, let alone talked to him out of class and all. Logan looked his way as he talked of fear and right then he knew he would be the unwilling volunteer for the first question.
Sighing he felt like sinking his head onto the desk in defeat. This was not good,, he thought, as fear was that feeling one got in their gut when things were about to go bad. Right now, yep, it was fear. Thinking of a fear he rose up and cleared his throat. "Um...well...it is about horses. You see, when I just getting into my powers, I was on my first horse. It was a thrill really, to feel the horses's mane under my fingers and sit on the saddle like I was going places already. My fingers however were placing an icy touch to the horse spooking it and sending me to the ground. I broke my arm and it reared its hooves about trying to stomp me. I didn't really know about my powers then, and the trainer didn't know why the horse spooked. I know now why, and, the sight I saw...terrified me as I thought I'd die..."
Bobby took his seat and clasped his hands together; not even bothering to look up at his teacher.

Logan shook his head as Bobby told him this story. I thought it would be more fire or losing someone then a horse, he mused. Still, coming into one's power is a frightening experience to any mutant. If he had thought more about that incident, perhaps his family could've helped him a little more, been a tad more understanding. When he had been at their house they were wanting normalcy, and accepting Bobby was difficult for who he was. Their youngest son, having grown up in the age where mutants were hated for being different, was the likely person to call the cops on them. The incident was indeed frightening, and, he could make fun of him...but it would do him little good as a teacher.
"Very good Bobby. I know it must be tough to confide such a story, even if it is a horse of course. Now, your first assingment Bobby is to go out to the stables and tame a wild horse. The Professor usually brings in new horses for the students to ride, and, the trainer should be out there to give you pointers. Arrive a little after class and wait there. If the trainer doesn't show...you are to tame it yourself. I won't be there to keep an eye on you, but, you yourself will grade on your performance with how well you thought you did."
Turning his attention then to Gabriel he motioned with his hand. "Alright Gabriel, what is it you fear?"

It got interesting when it came to talking about horses. Gabriel had always had a fondness for horses, so got kinda into Bobby's story.
Until Logan asked him the next Q. Gabriel then turned his impaling blue yes directly to Logan, pulling his lips back in a smirk, baring his feline teeth more then ever before. "As Dhampire, I have few thing to fear. I don't fear deah for I am imortal and I don't fear pain for I know I will regenerate anyway. The only thing I shall have to fear are silveren bullits blessed in Holy water and Helena's nail. For you who don't know what Helena's nail is. This is a nail from the cross on which Jesus christ found his death" Gabriels face was very seiouse now. "I have been brought up with fighting and death, I have been tought to fear nothing but my own Father and the Vatican" Gabriel dipped his head into a nodd, his answer was complete.

Logan understood the whole healing thing, so, death was never complete for either of them until something came along to better them. Still, this didn't really give him a lot to work with here. Gabriel spoke of fear in the minor way, like it was in the back of his subconscious and would not be stirred up unless he met these people or things. This could be challenging, he thought, but as a teacher I must persevere and come up with an assignment regardless. Rubbing the facial hair on his face he looked down at his desk and thought then of an assignment for him.
"Alright Gabriel, you speak of a fear of bullets blessed in holy water," Logan began leading into his assignment, "if that is the case perhaps you should place your life on the line. If someday down the line you have to face a situation where those obstacles stand in your way...will you be able to conquer it? This class is only once a week due to my schedule, so, each of you have a week to fulfill your assignment and give your grade and how you did the next week. Everyone got it?"

"Logan, you might not know, but I am actually packing what I fear. To cope with my fear I use it as my own wapon" Gabriel putted his messenger bag on his table and pulled out a white oversized handgun. He replaced his bag on the ground and pulled white gloves with a pentgram out of his pocket to put them on. "I'd rather not touch these. Other then father I cannot regenerate from touch blessed silver" Gabriel putted on the gloves and gave a firm slap to the upper side of the gun. The cartridge came out of the gun. Gabriel pulled out one bullit and handed it out to Logan. "For you this will not posses any danger, not even when i fire it, you will heal from it anyway" Gabriel said.

Logan accepted the bullet and looked over at Bobby then back at Gabriel. "Well, you certainly think ahead don't you? Still, carrying around your fear does little for you, especially when you someday become a full fledged X-Men going on missions. I want you to try and get over this fear by the next time our class convenes. Both of you should take this seriously, as it may, like I said, come up on a mission. Not all missions are fighting, some involve blending into other enviroments and using what you can to help you."
Logan looked down the slyabus to see if there was anything else to discuss. "Since this class is only once a week, keep in mind this class is still here if you want to drop in with a personal question or need help. I can be found here on Mondays and Thursdays, and if you can't find me here...look around campus. Now any questions regarding this class?"

Gabriel raised his hand. "Don't expect me to being extremely carefull with these things Logan, after all, their one of the few things that mean a sertin and painfull death to me. And as mother says, a good dose of fear is most healthy for human and freaks alike" Gabriel took the bullit back and inserted it back in the cratridge. "But it is not that I will not engage into a fight with you when you carry these. I have ways enough to escape" Gabriel putted teh Casul back into the bag and looked up at Logan. "I have no unnecesarry fears." he spoke and pulled out a piece of paper. He scribbeled down the asignment. "I shall talk about this with father, how to cope with these things. But when it is rendered impossible I will gladly help my costudents" he said.

Bobby sat there quietly while Logan talked to Gabriel. It was often considered rudeness to interrupt a teacher while talking, as he found out when he first came to the mansion years ago. For now he simply wrote down his assignment so he wouldn't forget. Ok, he thought, I have to tame a horse and consult in a trainer in as how to do it. It shouldn't be that hard, I mean, I managed to stay on the back of the horse for a good 10 seconds...till I was bucked off. Shaking his head he knew that failure this time would result in little but self loathing from himself.
When asked if there were questions, Gabriel continued to speak of having no fear and would consult his father on the matter. Not what he meant, but, shouldn't surprise me. "I have a question Professor, um, you spoke of only meeting once a week. If that is the case, what should occurr if we have completed our assigned, er, assingment already?" Not that I expect it to be fast, but, suppose it does happen.

Logan thought over Bobby's question and knew a student without homework would equal more free time for them. "That is a good question, and, I have just the answer to that. To test your abilities as a Mutant and a fulfillment to pass this class, you must take down 10 Sentinels before we convene next class. The Sentinel are a new threat under production that apprehend Mutants and take them to an undisclosed location where they are injected with the remanant of the cure and have their powers taken away.
"It is vital that you don't let this happen. The Danger Room has a program the Professor set up called 'Sentinel astray' and don't think lost puppy astray. They are powerful and you might get hurt the first time you fight them. Learn how they attack, analyze, attack when you can and dodge attacks. Do you understand your assignments?"
