Jean smiled and let the sphere of water moved away from Crossfire. “Not to worry, I wouldn’t.” She maneuvered the water, having the unlimited potential to become whatever shape she chose. It was a long time since she felt free with her powers, amazed she can have free control without it bursting with full force. It glided back near the pool until gently it fell back into where all the water belonged. She sighed, it was so calm and being in the sun felt great. Looking over to Crossfire as he summoned a barrier, she began to wonder what the full extent of his psychic abilities was.
“Perhaps someday, I might be able to teach you how to harness your psychic ability.” Jean suggested, curious if she would be able to teach him. While the fullness of her powers was strictly forbidden to use, mainly because she willed herself not to, Jean could not imagine what life would be like without them. It was if they were not just a part of her, but part of her identity. “If you want to learn someday, that is.”

Crossfire bent down and picked his towel back up. A little more time and maybe Jean would be like the old Jean he remembered. He had arrived a few years before all the stuff happened with Magnito. Though they hadn't hung out or really talked back than. He remembered what she had bean like before alkali lake and hoped she could someday again become the old Jean he remembered.
"You know that would be real cool," his cocky smile returned to his face as he walked around the pool to Jean's side. "I hope we can train together someday real soon so you can teach me to better control my powers. But for now I have to get to my class. I am doing an Orientation class in the gymnasium to test the powers of the new students. Take care Jean." With that he turned and quickly headed towards the school so he could get dressed and ready.

Jean slowly nodded, as the swimmer packed up his stuff so that he may attend the orientation. She almost forgot there was an orientation for new students. Only hearing odds and ends of the Institute’s formal meetings and such, Jean could hardly keep track. Maybe once long ago she would have already been organized and well-planned for the orientation and such other meetings, perhaps for her own class, Jean has been adjusting slowly to the life at the Xavier’s school for the gifted.
“I’ll let you be on your way then.” Jean replied, glad that Crossfire was willing to practice with her someday. It will be interesting to see if she could teach again, but even if they had a session just to work together, Jean knew that they will both be able to benefit. “Have fun at your orientation,” Jean replied as he left and allowed her to continue on the rest of her journey to visit the same mansion she grew up in.
[/thread closed, I'm guessing]
