Bobby had dashed ahead of the others and tackled the Sentinel quite well. Though as he turned around he noticed that no one had followed him. Something wasn't right here, he noted as he walked back to where everyone was. Professor Xavier had changed the simulation to that of Alcatraz...then....where the hell was he? Bobby looked around at his surrounding and felt fear clutch at his spine.
"I guess there must be something wrong with the wiring," he noted as he kicked at a can. It was only then that he noticed a rather large and rotund Sentinel crash down in front of him. The Sentinel was well defended as several lower class Sentinels landed behind it. "Ok...I get it, this is a prank, ok fine, ,simulation end."
The simulation did not end...and as he felt a bolt hit him square in the shoulder he rolled on the ground and cringed as the pain was real. The surrounding were just like the simulation, though, the screams seemed so real and the buildings in the distance seemed to take on a horrifying shape of fire twisted into chaos. Where was he?

Logan dodged the incoming shots aimed behind him and took up a safe place behind a pile of trash. Feelinghis claws snap forth he let out a yell and tore at the legs of the Sentinel causing it to reel back and fall onto its massive back smashing a burnt car. Climbing onto its stomach he slashed away at it and went up to its metal head with a sneer on his bearded face. "You tin plated contraptions aren't welcome here bub!!" Digging into the neural sensor plate he pulled out a chip and slashed it up into tiny pieces.
Jumping down from the Sentinel he noticed a boy surrounded by three Sentinels. "This just keeps getting better," he snarled. Throwing a smoke bomb into the midst he dragged the boy free of the wreakage and watched the Sentinel lumber about until they reported the Mutants as missing. Sighing he stared down at the boy and thought he looked awfully familiar, hmm, relative perhaps?
"What the hell were you doing just now? You could've got yourself killed...but who am I to lecture you, your probably aligned with him aren't you?" Aiming his claws at his throat he showed his white teeth with anger in his eyes.

Bobby couldn't be more relieved to see Logan. The guy had used smoke bombs, which didn't make much sense; regardless, he was just glad his ass had been saved. Though as soon as they were out of danger he felt the cold blades of his claws up against his neck and fear enticed a confused look in his blue eyes. "Whoa...hold on a sec Professor...is this any way to treat your favorite student? Ok, maybe not favorite, but I show potential, you said that once. What is with the beard and who am I alinged with exactly?"
Bobby thought of using his powers, but, Logan was much stronger then him. Swallowing slowly he watched a trickle of sweat drop down his chin only to freeze. "I-I am aligned with Charles Xavier, teacher of the students in the Westchster Mansion where all Mutants attend..." C'mon, bad dream, has to be, I'm probably still with the other students and I'll wake up in a cold sweat any moment, yep, any minute now...

Logan pulled back as soon as he addressed him by his former title. A search light appeared and he bared his teeth up at it. They couldn't stay out here much longer, and, if this kid was telling the truth, he didn't pose him a threat. Logan was confused now, and when the kid went on to mention alleigance with Professor Xavier he reverted all eye contact and simply kept himself still. The kid was Bobby Drake, a handfull at times, but he seemed to recall this student fared well in exercises and was there when the school was still new...and still around.
"Kid, I'm still trying to figure things out, but...I have news to tell ya. Professor Xavier has been dead for some time now, the mansion has been destroyed, and what was once the X-Men is nothing more but a memory. Your not where you think you are, and, this period for which you somehow came to is the future in short." Wolverine pulled the kid behind him and followed his strong smell to the new hide out. The kid would have questions, no doubt, but as long as they moved the easier it would be to fight down the stale memory.

"Wait...your joking right?" Bobby got no answer as he was pulled along behind him. Screams were heard and the burning buildings seemed to be drawing nearer to them. This can't be, he thought, there must be some other explanation. "I just saw the Professor in the danger room, I just saw the mansion in perfect shape, and the X-Men last I checked were still together." Bobby tripped over something and as he looked down he noticed a skull protruding from the ground with its teeth and empty sockets for eyes. Bobby tried to hold in his lunch and when Logan mentioned the future he felt his legs give up from under him.
Seated there he felt like his stomach had been kicked and his lungs were used up and he was on his death bed. "How...when...future? I can't be in the future, for that to happen you need some gate way, and I was in the Danger Room...so your theory does not sit well with me." Bobby was bent on this being a joke, a mean practical one that was aimed to get him to make sense of not always rushing into battle head strong.

Logan ran a hand through his hair and wished there were some simpler way of telling him, but there were none. If I get caught by those lunk heads again, he thought, I will not get out of there in time with my body failing me. Having the healing powers he did, he could endure most physical torture, but other mutants, did not fare well. Going over to where the kid fell he picked him up and placed him over his shoulder. "I'm not going back to that place, so shut up and listen to me Iceman."
Logan heard no peep from him and continued walking. "When Apocalypse was released the Mutants fought hard and valiantly against him. The only problem is he had Phoenix, the clone of Jean Grey with such fury at the world that no one stood a chance against her. She wasnt' the Jean I fell in love with, and, she was entirely evil without a care in the world. The humans began to fall one by one, and a new cure had been distributed. However, when the cure was given out, once they were human they were killed or kept around to be made into minions for the new evil.
"Some Mutants fought back, some managed to escape into the Morlock tunnels and struck back where needed. The world as we knew it went to hell and those you knew as the X-Men were scattered about. The Professor was killed, one of the first to be used as a self motivating factor in handing themselves in. I haven't been in contact with the remnants of that time for quite some...time. I lead a band of resistance fighters, a small rag tag group capable of doing serious damage, but, it is dwindling with loss of food and water."
Logan found the hide out and pressed his face up against the scanner and heard a positive chime. When the door opened he placed Bobby down and watched the door close behind him.
"You said you were in the Danger Room right? Beast told me once there is an inbetween, when one program is running and your in it when the other person turns it, well, your not only trapped in that program...but a glitch occurrs and whoever is in there...well...they wind up here."

Bobby couldn't fight back as he was placed on Logan's back. Hearing the tale of how it all went down, he suddenly realized this was not a cruel joke, it was in fact a cruel reality. If he had been a good student and waited while the Professor changed simulations, he wouldn't be in this mess. Now as he looked around at the skeletal remains littering the road and the burning buildings all around, he realized he wasn't going home as soon as he liked.
To know all this, he thought, would that mean I could somehow prevent it? It was a possibility, but, like all trips to the future; the sole occupant never carried that information back.. The heavy door parted before Logan and his feet hit the ground with a thud. Looking around he noticed starving kids and Mutants and humans alike bunked together in close construed rooms with doors that had fallen off. The future was hardly a shining point to look foward to, he noted as he listened to him talk of the inbetween.
Beast had also mentioned that, he thought, but I never really believed him. Rubbing his shoulder he noticed Logan left him there. The guy hasn't really fared well with all this loss, he thought as he went to have a look around. Finding a medical tent he popped in and spoke of his wound to the field medical officer. The person was a human and she smiled politely at him and beckoned for him to lay down. I guess mutant and human relations prospers, he thought, though all it took was the ultimate evil being unleashed.

Logan had left Bobby to look around while he reported in to his troops. Finding the War Room he sat down at the head of the table and asked for reports from all the participating members. Some were humans who were on active duty when the city fell, others were Mutants who had offered to stay behind when given a choice to flee. All in all the reports indicated one facility was left unhit, and that was the one that produced the lunk heads they had to deal with.
"Our best course of action is to take out that facility before we are overwhelmed," Logan began, "in order to do that I will need a team of no less then three to infiltrate and shut it down. Any takers?"
Logan heard from the men that his best fighter was currently unavailable due to being assigned on a mission entirely different. Logan sighed and wondered how he could forget such an important factor. An army Colonel volenteered and Logan nodded his thanks over to him. That left one spot, and, seeing how he was coming out of the medical tent all ready to go he figured he was his last choice.
Ending the meeting he ran his hand along his beard face and waved over at the kid. I have no one left to ask, he thought, so I hope he still maintains that ice power of his. The Future needed this win, and, if all failed, they would at least not feel the pain of being crushed to death.
