"that is true and there will be a time for me to show my more caring side. Now there is a threat to this earth that come from its past. Once that is dealt with i will show my my more kind side. As for every one dieing some of us are dieing quicker than others. The metal on me is not metal as such. It is alive a cancer eating at my cells. One day it will kill me. if my parents..." he nearly said to much. He looked away all the what ifs. "You know i can read over 90% of peoples minds on earth at once. I know what they want. What they cry out for they are looking for a hero some one to lift them out of this world and save them. A Person that they can get behind a symbol of every thing that is right and he is coming."
He smiled at the thought of the worlds grates hero a man who was what every one needed and not what they wanted. a man with little powers but a soul so large no omega mutant could stand agents. "he will be a symbol that no hero will ever be like again. And when he talks people will listen." It was clearly a change of subject.
"The problem is you x-men your not ready for it for any of it. When was the last time you trained as a team when was the last time you were there fighting the good fight and not hiding in your school? The world needs to see the mutants as an assets and heroes not a threat."

When he mentioned his parents, Lorna gave him a blank look. He was from the future, right? So his parents weren't even born yet. Especially as far in the future as he claimed to be from. She didn't understand this man and if he was determined to keep people at arms length, his loss. Lorna firmly believed in having friends around to help one though difficult times.
When he began to talk about a savior for the human race, she had to restrain herself from rolling her eyes. Although why she even bothered was beyond her. She knew full well that he could, and probably was, read her mind any time he wanted and she'd have no clue about it. It appeared to her that he was talking about himself, setting himself up as the savior. Granted, if he truly knew their future, then he was in a decent position to do so but it was so egotistical that it was almost nauseating.
Lorna happily accepted the change in topic. In fact, she was considering the conversation about over until he mentioned what a bunch of weaklings her teammates were. She wasn't going to argue herself, Lorna knew she had put off her own training, had done it on purpose. But the others? Not so much. Besides, they were a school. There was such thing as educating the students and that meant taking time for them. They couldn't all be like Scott and train every second of the waking day.
“We aren't hiding, Cable,” she informed him, her voice defensive. “We have a responsibility to the next generation and educating them is what we are doing, what we have to do. We've already been through hell with Magneto and Phoenix. Humanity lumps us all together with him and no matter what is said or done, that isn't changing.”

"all that is a joke compared to what is coming Lorna. The answer is no i am not talking about me. I don't need to read your mind i can read your body you have what you are thinking plastered on your face. I know you think you doing the right thing but if this starts education would be the last of your problems." it was true every thing was getting harder he just hoped that it was not to late. " It may be worth to start training some of them getting a team out there showing the world you are heroes."

She bristled inwardly as he informed her that all their education was for naught. Spoken like a true warrior. While Cable's life might revolve around war, Lorna honestly didn't think that solved all the problems. Sometimes education really was the best answer and until she was proved otherwise in this scenario, she would continue to believe that. Cable could talk till he was blue in the face but he wasn't going to convince her otherwise.
Lorna still didn't believe that he wasn't talking about himself. Or that he wasn't reading her mind. While she wasn't comfortable with the idea of telepaths in her head, she knew she had no secrets. Nothing of importance anyway. If he was that interested in the nasty breakup she'd had with her last boyfriend, so be it. It wasn't something she had hid from anyone, but it had been a while ago now and she just didn't let it bother her any longer.
She let out an almost exasperated sigh. He was talking like she was going to be gathering an army up and training them herself. Lorna wasn't a fighter. She did some training with the younger mutants but nothing along the lines of what Scott or the others did. She was a sidelines girl, letting others take the lead and then following behind to pick up what remained. Could she change? Sure, everyone could. However, she just didn't see that as likely. If future man knew something, he was being obnoxiously vague.
“I'm not sure why you are asking me to do all this. I don't train others, that is something for Scott or even Logan to do. However,” she added, pausing for a moment. “I will consider what you suggested about finding...someone suitable to help me.” For some reason, she just couldn't say Magneto's name. It was as if saying it meant that she would definitely do it and Lorna wasn't making that commitment. Not now, anyway.

"Because i know what you will become. I Symbolizes everything that goes wrong in the world. I am only fit to lead those who are like me damaged, But you, you are what is good and whole in this world and that is what the world deserves. Hope faith and every thing good in short people like you. I seen what you can become but in my time line you become it to late. Destine is stacked agents you but i have faith that you can speed tit along and save the day. Scot is damaged Jeans death and other events have made him. You have not been effected as much by them you recovered i can see it in your soul." HE walked towards the water.
"believe me or not Lorna, Its your life and your choices you know what is at stake and what you can do. Only you can make the choice just remember you will have to live with it for your whole life." Just like him he had guilt for so much and now his his chance to make amends.

God, if he started calling her Pollyanna, Lorna was going to make good on her internal urge to throw him in the pond. The things he was saying about her...well, she just didn't see herself that way. Was she evil like she knew Magneto to be? Absolutely not. But she wasn't all sweet and innocent, either. If Lorna had to pick one trait, one honest trait, to call herself, it would have to be a coward. She never wanted to be a mutant, had even contemplated the “cure” when it came out but again, she was too afraid of the side effects so she hadn't done it. Which definitely turned out to be a good thing.
Still, how could Cable even think that she was leadership material? And that was most definitely what it sounded like he was talking about. Scott and Jean were both back from the grave but together, they could do something good, right? Her head was hurting now from all the weirdness this conversation represented.
Then he went and dropped the guilt trip bomb. This man was something else. Lucky for him, she already knew that he wasn't exactly out to endear himself to her or anyone else for that matter. All he wanted to do was spread his message of doom and gloom and get them to jump at what he had to say. She needed coffee with a healthy shot of Bailey's added to it. Not for flavor but for the kick.
Staring at his back, she replied, “You've given me a lot to think about, Cable. I'm not sure what I'm planning on doing but I do promise to give everything you have said considerable thought.”

"A leap of faith is some times all we need." he was tempted to walk across the lake but that would be well a mistake. " I think it should be best that i slide off. I have told you what you need the choices are there for you to make. Take the leap and see were you land." He had faith that the woman was able to do what she must. " Faith is all it takes and i have faith in you. Next time we meet you will probably act on your urges to throw me in the pond. Good day Polaris. Body slide by one" with that he vanished in a flash of light leaving the woman to her thoughts.

She stared after him and at where he'd been standing just a few seconds before he'd teleported. Then, out of no where, she laughed, good and hard. It wasn't a surprise that he'd known what she'd wanted to do to him, yet had resisted. The funny part was that he hadn't done anything to prevent her from acting on it and she had this weird feeling he wouldn't have stopped her.
What an odd man. Lorna stopped laughing and began to walk along the path again, ignoring the looks she had received for laughing at seemingly nothing. She knew her parents would be getting worried about her. She was beginning to realize that no matter how old she got, her parents would always worry. It was probably their prerogative, even if she was an adult.
She did stop for the cup of coffee but didn't ask the barista if they could add a shot of Bailey's for her. No matter how much Cable had rattled her, she wasn't going to do that. Instead, she sipped the hot drink as she made her way home. Maybe it was time to ask her parents if she could see her birth certificate.
End Thread
