Faith watched as he took the pen and paper back and began to scribble the answers to her questions and then asked his own. So his name was Death, and he was part of Weapon X before leaving them three years ago. She remember a commotion about that time of an escaped experiment, but Baptiste was sent to make sure she didn’t escape either. He left when she was unconscious on the floor of her cell profusely bleeding and her healing factor working over time just to keep up with her injuries that didn’t seem to stop happening until then. By the time he had left, the commotion had settled down and she was still stuck for another three years.
She of course closed her eyes and attempted to force down her anger again at the memory of know when he escaped had caused her. She took a few deep breaths and calmed down enough to speak to him without lashing out. ”My name is Faith Webster, or as they some times like to call me, Lycan. I came her looking for my father…er…Logan. Nothing had changed for me since you had escaped, and I made mine only a few weeks ago. However, I don’t think it is a good idea to chase down Weapon X on your own. Why don’t you stay and talk or in your case, write with Jean, Logan, and I about it?” She wondered if Death had any more questions for her, and she was glad that no one had noticed her voice in the kitchen. She sniffed the air to see if anyone was coming their way in addition to her hearing the noises around her.

Death looked to her as she understood what he was telling her about who he was. She didn't ask how he escaped, she might have known how or something happened that prevented her from knowing. He knew that the entire facility locked down when he tried, But of course they were going to stop him from leaving. His dark matter made a clear cut through there metal doors and wasn't going to hold him down. Though they weakened him greatly effect him with electric volts of high proportions. He still made it out however and ended her at the mansion to rest for a day or so in till his abilities came back. He wondered if the people that were here when he was here. He remembered the people who took care of him anyhow.
Death then looked up to her as she answered his question towards her in some detail. He noticed that she had a spark of anger, and who better then him to pick up on that. His soul and mind was full of anger and revenge that it was all that he thought of. She then mentioned Jean and Logan who he knew very little of. Jean happened to be one of the people who took care of him though she most likely wouldn't remember him after these years. Though he really didn't change much from then in what he wore and looked like. Picking up the paper and pen he wrote, If it gets me faster to ripping open those Weapon X's heads off But know if it's a waste of my time I'm not going to wait and will leave..

Faith watched as he seemed to think of her offer, and knew that he saw the anger that the Facility had installed in her from the time she was a child. All her memories of that place were not good or happy, and it made her a bitter, anti-social person because of it. She of course was being nice to Death, because they both came from the same place. She could understand how he felt, and the need to get back at them for what they had done to her was always on her mind. But she knew she would need some help, and from what she had seen in her father earlier she knew he was going to do something about it.
Then Death had said he had something like that on his mind and she sighed. ”I want to get back at them as well for what they did to me. But none of us can go in alone and stand a chance. They had upgraded their security protocols since you had left, and I am sure they had even made it more intense since I had left as well. Believe me, if I was allowed to I would be on my way back there right now to cause them all the Hell I can on my own. But Jean made me promise her to wait until we come up with something better. Even my father…Logan was ready to do the same, but we had decided to talk it over later. She wants us to have a plan before going in guns blazing and whatnot.” She explained to him what she was asking of him by waiting and discussing it over with her and Logan.

Death listened to her explaining why she wanted to wait and talk it over with Jean and Logan. Although it wasn't really his problem that she made a promise that she knew it would be hard to keep. He knew that her hatred could drive her right out that door. And as far as he could see she had her anger pumping through her veins. Just like him and that was all the was driving him. But he understood what she meant that they needed more people to help them. If what she said was true which he knew that it was. Seeing as they wouldn't want people to escape like Death and Faith did, they would have to. He didn't like it but to get the revenge he wanted he would have to wait a while. And that meant staying there at the mansion for a little while longer. He never truly stayed in one place for to long and this was going to be hard for him. He'd usually kept on moving no matter the situation and always would continue to move.
He pulled the paper and pen over to him as he started to write his response to her. Alright Faith you made your point, I'll stay for a short time. As long as I don't feel my time is being wasted I wont leave and will listen to what you got to say. Though know this, the second I get the chance to go and kill the people at Weapon X I'm going to take it. No matter what you or anybody here has to say about it, I will have my vengeance . After he was done writing he looked up to her with his blood red eyes. He got up and got a bit close to her, he thought he knew her more then just from the facility. He felt that he talked to her before a long time ago in the facility.

Faith breathed a bit easier when he agreed to wait. Her eyes roamed over him and his bandages, as something nagged at the back of her mind. She felt like she should know him than a glimpse of passing him in the corridor, and she sniffed the air again. This time digging her way through was she knew of him so that she can really get his true scent. Much like her scent of her father all over her. Everyone had a scent that was special to them, and she had smelled a lot of people. She was seeing if she had gotten to know him somewhat will in the facility where she was kept.
She watched as he then got to his feet and walked over to her. She saw on his face that he had the same suspicion of her as she had of him. When he stopped, she could feel the heat off of him and that surprised her as she normally doesn’t feel any temperature change unless it was extreme. Which explained her running around New York City in a tank top and a pair of shorts in middle of the winter months. She could feel his breath on her as he breathed, and wondered what he was thinking. She was starting to panic at the close proximity of him to her, but she pushed it down with all of the other emotions like she was taught. ”Why do I feel like I should know more about you, Death?” She asked him in a whisper, as if she was almost afraid to know the answer.
She had heard that Weapon X likes to mess with their experiments memories, and wondered if they did the same to her in regards to Death. She just couldn’t place him other than passing him in the corridors…

Death noted that she breathed easy when he agreed that he would wait to talk with both Jean and Logan with her. He then caught the glimpses that Faith was giving him as she looked at his bandages. She then seemed to started to sniff a bit. She seemed to be trying to get his scent off him for some reason. Did she think the same as he did, she she had the feeling that he met him before. He had the same feeling though he couldn't sniff out a scent like she could. He wondered and as he approached her he became a bit more familiar. Death knew that she could feel his breath as he could feel hers. Her warmth reached out to him like the sun. He wondered what he could could get so close to her and why she would let him.
She then asked the question that must have been in both of there mind at the moment. But it wasn't loud it was a soft whisper that told him she didn't want to know the answer. He felt the same, but it bugged him enough for him to want to find it out. Some memories started to come back of them meeting in a corridor. Some of them meeting each other when they were supposed to be training, or the scientist supposed to do experiments on them. He raised his gazed up hand and touched her cheek softly, tilting his head slightly.
With his other hand he pulled down the bandages from his face down to his neck and showed his mouth. His pointed out shark like teeth showed through his mouth. His skin was sickly pale from the fusion of him and the dark matter. "Fa-Faith?..is that you?" he spoke surprisingly with his blood red eyes looking into hers.

When he touched her check, Faith felt the touch as tender as well as kind. It of course was gauzed, but the intention was still there. Something pulled at the back of her mind, but nothing broke free. Her instinct of course was to extend her claws, but for some unknown reason she fought it and actually won. Something told her that he wouldn’t intentionally hurt her like those at Weapon X had. She watched as he reached up and pulled the bandages down from his mouth and rested them on his neck. She noticed his sharp teeth that reminded her a bit too much of a shark, and his pale skin.
”Fa-Faith?..is that you?"
Her eyes grew wide as a flood of memories came back to her. A boy about her age, talking when they were suppose to be training. The two of them had gone through experiments together, and then when the two of them had gotten to the point of no longer being friends he was taken away. She remembered him, and it was happy memories. ”Ch…Chris?” She asked him as her hand reached up and touched his check in the same manner as he did hers. ”What did they do to you?” She asked him softly, and silently raging as the scientists had changed him. Hurt him. They will pay.

Death looked to her as her eyes widen to the same memory coming back to her as it did to him. He couldn't believe that he even got to see her again, after so many years. He remembered the times they shared together and how the comforted each other from the experiments. she called him by his name that he hadn't heard in years. And she even placed her hand on his cheek in the same manner as he did.
He was surprised and relived that she was alive and well. He was glad she was safe and well and couldn't believe his eyes. Her question ran through his head but at the moment he couldn't believe he got to see Faith again. He finally snapped out of it and looked into her eyes before lowering his back down. "They..they infused me with the dark matter you see on me. They made me..into this monster and I couldn't recall a lot of stuff. Some of it I tried to block and some of it I tried to remember, you included".
Death couldn't help but continue to touch her cheek and continue to look into her eyes. She was one of the good things in his life and never wanted to leave her behind. But sadly he couldn't remember everything when he left and when he did he was already in Britain. He hated himself for leaving her behind, but he also hated Weapon X for what they did to her and must have continued to do. His anger reached a whole knew level and clenched his free hand into a fist. The dark matter started to circle around them as his eyes glowed a bright blood red. He wanted to go and kill the scientist that even dared touched her.

Faith couldn’t believe it. She had found Chris, her childhood friend. She remember after one experiment that she was hurting. It was after they had given her the shiny claws on her fifth birthday. She was hurting too much from the hot adamantium they had injected her with, and she was crying in the corner of the post procedure room. His arms were the next thing she felt around her and he was comforting her. She felt really sorry that she had somehow managed to forget him, and she mentally beat herself up for it. He was her friend, and could have been something more but they tore him away from her before they could find out.
"They..they infused me with the dark matter you see on me. They made me..into this monster and I couldn't recall a lot of stuff. Some of it I tried to block and some of it I tried to remember, you included"
It seemed that he was trying to keep her in his memory after he explained what happen to him. She knew he must be angry for what they did to her, but if he knew what had happened to her since he left her there may not be any force in the universe to keep him from storming out of there to extract revenge on those scientists. Instead, she closed the distance between the two of them and wrapped her arms around him carefully. She had no idea what effects of the fusion had on his body, so she didn’t want to hurt him.
”I’m so glad I got to see you again.” She whispered and then pulled slightly away. She then turned her head and continued to tell him something that she thought he should know. ”They finally did it. They infused my skeleton with adamantium.” She knew what that meant to him, and that if he accidentally got exposure of her claws… He was in a world of hurt.

Death remembered a lot of his past between himself and Faith back at the compound. She really was the only good thing about his past and he wished he could have saved her from that life. It was eating at him at the moment and never wanted them to get seperated. He remembered the first time they tried to pump her with that strange metal at the time. Death watched as she was in pain and he couldn't help her. He was six at the time, and even then when he didn't know her he wanted to get her out of there. Then when they pulled her out the first chance he got he went and comforted her. He knew how it felt to be in pain due to the scientist there and didn't want her to suffer.
Then she closed the distance between them as she wrapped her arms around him and held onto him. Death laid his head on hers as he did the same glad to see her. He knew that they must have done some horrible stuff to her and she wasn't going to tell him. She must have known if he knew what they did to her he wouldn't wait any more. He would get out of that house and hunt down every last one of those Weapon X bastards.
Death then heard her tell him that she was glad see him again and pulled away slightly. He looked into her eyes, "I'm glad to see you too Faith, I'm glad your safe" he told her. Then after he spoke she told him that got him furious. They finally did it, they put the metal in her body. Which she knew that the radiation that came off it it could hurt him. But he didn't care, all he cared about was that she was safe and here with him again. "Don't worry Faith we will make sure they pay for what they have done to you. And don't worry to much about me, it's a good thing we didn't fight huh" he told her placing his forehead on hers.

Faith felt strangely comforted by him, now that she knew who he was. He was perhaps the only person in the world that comforted her in her lifetime, and when they took him away it felt like a part of her died inside. Then in order to forget that sort of pain, she must have forgotten him. She of course wanted to cry at finally seeing him, but she couldn’t. She didn’t know how to cry. The forest was just an overload of emotions, and it won’t happen again.
"Don't worry Faith we will make sure they pay for what they have done to you. And don't worry to much about me, it's a good thing we didn't fight huh"
It felt good to have him near her again, and his forehead resting against hers was like it was when they were younger. ”But I could have hurt you. And yes. They will pay for what they have to do us, and my family…what little of a one I have.” She told him. She knew what had happened to Logan, and she knew it angered him greatly and they will no longer be able to experiment with their DNA again. Not after they get through with those bastards.
Faith looked up at him, looking into his red eyes. ”I found him. He’s here. He knows.” She shared with him wondering if he remembered her telling about her father. The only thing that actually kept her sane after one of Baptiste’s beatings, was when he came to her and she told him what that bastard had shot off at her while he attempted to toughen her up. It of course was way before she learned his weaknesses and how to effectively fight him. It was before her adamantium skeleton.

Death felt her warmth, her breath, for the first time in years he was actually happy. He wanted to protect her, keep her from harm, and do everything in his power to make her happy again. He knows that they put her through hell and back. And he wanted to make up for leaving her behind, he wanted to wash away the pain from her. As he laid his forehead on hers he looked into her eyes and held her close. He couldn't believe that from the years that went by he would be able to hold her again. Those bastards over at the Weapon X facility were going to pay. But for now he wasn't worried about that, he was just glad to have Faith by his side again.
He then heard her reply to what he said and he stroke her cheek lightly as she did. "I know Faith, but it's alright we didn't that's what matters right? And I know we will, we're going to stop them and rip them to shreds for what they did to us and your family". He then wondered what she meant by family. It then dawned on him that she might have found her father that she always talked about. And if that was true then he could help him and her fight them back. But he wondered who he was and if he caused Faith any grief when she came here.
But then before he could wonder anymore she seemed to have answered his questions. "That's great Faith I'm glad you did, what's his name?" he asked her. He knew that she was looking for her dad and that he was just like her. Before she could answer him however he looking to the pen at the table and turned converted it's matter into Dark matter. He then formed that Dark matter into a rose that floated over to him. Grabbing it he looked to Faith and presented it to her, "You always remained beautiful you know that".

Faith just let him stand near her, and took in his scent. His presence was a calming one to her, and strangely she didn’t feel the need to rip something to shreds. She hadn’t felt like this since they took him from her, and it was actually nice to have him with her again. It was as if he was a balm to her tortured soul, and her anger ceased to attempt to control her. Would it return when they separated? Or will it still be calm with him near her? She truly didn’t want to find out, and wondered if knew how his presence calmed the animal within…
”That’s great Faith I’m glad you did, what’s his name?”
She smiled when he stroke her cheek as he told her that they didn’t fight, and she nodded her head in answer to his question and statement. ”He is known as Logan here, but I don’t know how he feels about me being here. First thing he wanted to do was to run off and find out about Baptiste…” She told him and trailed off, fighting off her anger at his name on her lips. She knew that Death knew who that was, and what he had done to her. After all, he snuck into her cell after his visits and attempted to comfort her…
”You always remained beautiful you that”
Faith watched as he turned the pen he had used to communicate with her, and converted it into Dark Matter. She then watched as he transformed it into a rose and floated it over to him so that he can hand it to her. She actually blushed deeply, and reached out to take the offered floral before smiling at him. ”You were always kind to me, Chris. The one true light in my own personal hell of my life. When they took you…” She trailed off to control her emotions for a moment, before continuing. ”When they took you, I died a little more inside. Not know what happened to you, I thought they killed you. Then the only thing that kept me going was my plan to escape to find my father.” She told him what it did to her when he was taken away from her. She hoped that he understood that she had changed inside from that day.

Death never felt so calm before in his life, and it was only near Faith when he felt this way. Even back in the facility when he had to sneak into Faiths chamber he always felt calm being near her. It was like the world was gone and all there was was her and him. To him, when ever he was with her he felt his hatred leave him. He himself didn't care anymore about the problems he had at the moment. For all he cared about was Faith and her happiness. He kept on rubbing her cheek softly as he looked at her beautiful face. Death was glad she had her healing factor, at least she wouldn't get the scars from those bastards at Weapon X. He could remember when sneaking into her room that she would have fresh wounds from her 'training'. Death also remembered he even had to use his phasing ability to pull certain things out of her because they broke off on her beatings. He pushed down the anger that boiled with in him, he didn't want to ruin this moment for either of them.
He then listened to Faith tell him about her dad and his name that this place calls him by. Death then recalled she saying that he and her were going to talk to a Jean and Logan later on. Realizing that he was going to met her dad without knowing was kind of surprising. She then continued on to say that when she got here he wanted to go after Baptiste. The name hit him like a wave crashing onto the beaches shores. He knew who he was and what he had done to Faith when they were younger, he couldn't imagine now that she was older. His eyes glowed a bright blood red again before going back to the normal red. He hated that name as much as he hated the mention of Weapon X, and she knew it.
Then after Death gave Faith the rose and telling her that she was beautiful he watched her blush. He couldn't help the first smile in ages at her as he placed his face close to hers. He listened to her saying that she died a little inside when they took him away from her. Along with that the only thing that kept her going was that she knew that she had a dad on the outside. "I know Faith, when I remembered I broke down and died inside. I thought they killed you too when I escaped and I blamed myself for it. But now..I'm happy that your alive and here with me again". After he was finished with telling he moved slowly towards her lips.

Faith knew he gotten angry when the color of his eyes changed when she mentioned Baptiste’s name. And strangely, she wasn’t the least bit frightened or scared. She knew that he wouldn’t hurt her and couldn’t if he had accidentally did. Her training was too ingrained in her to let her be defenseless. But she knew that they were back together, Weapon X and Baptiste were in for a world of hurt. Especially if her father joins them in their quest. And if he ever learns what his clone had done to her, she had no clue what he would do. She just had a feeling that it was not good.
When he smiled at her, her heart started to beat a little faster in her chest. Yes it was sharp and demonic looking, but it was Chris. Her childhood friend, and confidant. The one that comforted her when no one else would. She knew he meant her no harm, and she returned his smile. She didn’t back away or flinch when he put his face closer to hers. She trusted him to keep her safe from harm, as she would do the same for him.
”I know Faith, when I remembered I broke down and died inside. I thought they killed you too when I escaped and I blamed myself for it. But now..I’m happy that your alive and here with me again”
Faith felt her breath caught in her throat as he leaned toward her lips. He was going to kiss her, and she didn’t know what to do. She was panicking inside her head, but her body seemed to know what she wanted more. She wasn’t going to push him, but she wasn’t going to deny him either. She was going to let him go his own pace, but if he did kiss her she would of course kiss him back. The whole world seemed to have melted away then, and the two of them were the only ones that were alive. Her sense had dulled, and if someone approached them she wouldn’t know it until this moment had passed.
