Amara was so late, she cursed herself mentally and out loud. It was Kurt and Wolf’s wedding and she was going to be late, and all because she had lost track of the time. She felt like hitting herself or someone close by. She decided on neither and ran up the church steps instead. She did however hesitate when she saw a really nice motorcycle in the parking lot. She let out a whistle and dragged herself away from it.
Amara had picked out a dress earlier that week determined to be ready for the event early. Or at least early for her. She went all out on her outfit. She did her makeup unlike her usual eyeliner and that was it. She actually worked on it and her hair, and she did the most dreaded thing of all she was wearing heels. And they weren’t just a safe 2 inches they were the nice 3.5 inch ones. The dress itself she really loved and would love to wear it again, and that was saying a lot. When she saw it she liked, but when she tried it on she fell in love. It was strapless and covered in gold sequins, and there was a single long slit in the right side that was sinfully too high. She was going for “drop dead gorgeous” and “turning heads”, she’d like to think she was successful.
She stealthily opened the door and walked in. Shit! The birde was half way down the aisle now. She glanced around the room and saw a flash of green. She didn’t think to look for Max, having called him to tell him she was running late and she’d find him there when she could. She felt bad for that. She glided into the pew next to Lorna, “I bet we look like we’re ready for Christmas instead of wedding.” She whispered in Lorna’s ear and then gestured to their hair. She grinned and relaxed into the seat as everything went on. She remembered when she first met the bride and groom. That was a couple of years ago. She smiled and straightened her back watching the ceremony coming to an end.
