Nathan walked away from her, telling her to trust what was in her heart. But how could she when she apparently was sharing that "heart" with something else. It was almost too much to think about. Would she ever be comfortable again in her own emotions and feelings or would she always wonder if they were hers or not. It wasn't a pleasant thought, to say the least.
Jean moved in the opposite direction that he had but then paused briefly, looking back at the odd man. It was going to take time to contemplate all that had been said here. "Thanks, Cable," she told him before she turned again and continued to walk away. She meant it, too. No matter how difficult the information he'd given her, it was something. A start. Now she just had to look into it more and think about it all.
