It was around six in the morning when Logan decided to get out of bed and do something before his meeting with Faith. He set his bare feet on the cold wooden floor, feeling the chill crawl up. It didn't bother him but felt a bit better then the blanket warming him up. He got up and looked around his room as he grabbed his cigar and the lighter off of his drawer. Placing the cigar in his mouth he lit it up and took in a puff before blowing out the smoke in his room. Logan then laid on the cold floor and got into position to do a few sit ups. 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9.. he thought as he continued to do his sit ups. After he reached a hundred he than turned over on his stomach and placed his arms in position to do some push ups. 1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8..9.. he thought as he did his rep of push ups. Then after he reached one hundred he got up off the floor and pulled in a puff of smoke.
He wasn't tired, not by a long shot, but it was better to get in a little warm up before the training today. With a pair of Jeans, tank top and some boots he left the room still smoking his cigar. He wondered what he was going to teach her first. He however knew it was going to have to be control first before any thing serious. Logan didn't want to have to get serious on her and possible hurt her in the process. After a few minutes of walking he reached the point where he was supposed to met Faith at. It was still a bit early seeing as it was about ten thirty but waiting was something he was used to. Taking another puff of his cigar he leaned up against the school as he took in the scenery. The wild was where he felt he belonged the most; it calmed him, and was relaxing.

Faith had some time before meeting her father, and decided to see if she could find some more appropriate workout clothes. She knew she would end up tearing whatever she had put on, and so went in search of something more older. She found a pair of jeans that looked faded and worn, and a sleeveless shirt that looked like it has seen better days. She quickly put those on as well as a pair of combat boots she had found. She stood in front of the mirror, and took a close look at herself and nodded her approval at the choice of clothes. She then left the room, and swung by the kitchen and picked up a bottle of water to drink from later. She knew she was going to need it.
She approached where they were suppose to meet to see her father already there waiting for her. She saw that he was actually calm and wondered if it was from being outside or the smoking of his cigar that did that for him. She approached him, not bothering to hide herself. She knew he would hear and smell her anyways, just like she would anyone else. ”I feel the same way whenever I’m outside.” She greeted him with a smile.

Logan smelled Faith before she approached and heard her footsteps a little while ago. He didn't expect her to be there a bit early but then again the earlier the more they could get in before their time was up. She told him that she felt the same way when she was outside as well. He assumed she meant that they relaxed better when they were outside. Logan wouldn't deny that seeing as they were one in the same down to the genetic level. He smirked at her knowing it was well true and took in a puff from his lit cigar and blew it out. He watched the smoke life into the wind and be carried off into the distance. Logan looked back to the girl and approached her with the cigar hanging from the side of his mouth. He then placed a hand on her shoulder and smirked again at her before pulling the cigar out of his mouth into his other hand.
"Well Faith lets start the training shall we?" he stated as he turned back to the doors of the school. He assumed that Faith was behind him and following him deeper into the mansion. Most students couldn't enter the danger room with out permission from a teacher. Lucky for her he was, there wasn't any better place that he knew that he could train her without risking doing damage or hurting people. He then continued to lead Faith into an elevator and went down into the basement with florescent lighting hitting them once the doors opened. Logan then continued down the corridors of the halls and finally reached a giant door which opened up once he stood in front of it.
Once inside he looked up to the person in the controls and nodded to them to start of with something simple. The place changed into a grass land which was perfect for what he was going to teach Faith. "This Faith is the danger room, it can produce any scenario that you can think of, including reproducing battle situations. However this field will do better to train you into some fighting combat. This combat originated in Japan and is a calming fighting technique. It should help you calm yourself while helping you learn how to defend yourself better" he told her.

Faith kept a hold of the water bottle she had grabbed and watched as her father leaned against the wall just relaxing. She watched as he took a puff and let it escape his mouth before it drifted into the air and carried away by the gentle breeze. She sniffed the air automatically, and wondered how he could stand the smell of the tobacco of the cigar that hung from his lips. She then watched as he turned to face her, with the cigar hanging out the side of his mouth before placing a hand on her shoulder. He smirked at her, and she cocked her head to see if she could understand what he was trying to do. She got the feeling that this session wasn’t going to be easy, as he removed the cigar with his free hand.
When he said that they should start, she only nodded her head and followed him back inside. She stuck close to him, and ignored the looks that the other students were giving them. Her hearing of course picked up the whispered questions that others would not, and only smirked as they asked why the new girl was following Logan. If they only knew the truth, they would all be on the floor. She followed her father deeper into the mansion, and before she knew it they were in an elevator that was very well concealed. Their little walk was made in silence as they got to the proper floor and walked down a brightly lit hallway. Her eyes widened a bit when they reached a large door that she only saw in the facility where she was kept, and was forced to enter when they needed her to exhibit her skills. She shook her head to clear it of the memory and automatically balled up her fists in order to control that famous temper of hers, and then stepped inside the room right behind her father. She watched as he nodded to someone in what appeared to be a control room, and they were standing in the middle of a beautiful grass field.
"This Faith is the danger room, it can produce any scenario that you can think of, including reproducing battle situations. However this field will do better to train you into some fighting combat. This combat originated in Japan and is a calming fighting technique. It should help you calm yourself while helping you learn how to defend yourself better"
Faith nodded her head in understanding and her mind was quickly going through all the combat training she had received. She then thought of which of those originated in Japan, and could only come up with two. Aikido and karate. She had training in both, but just on the off chance that it was something that she wasn’t taught she looked up to her father. ”What is it called?” She asked him truly curious as she took some deep breaths to calm her nerves that have seemed to get rattled as soon as she returned in doors.

After entering the Danger room and the Danger room turning into a grass field Logan looked to Faith as she asked what the style was called. It wasn’t much of a style but a way on how to mentally bond with your sword or in this case claws. Thanks to his time in Japan he learned some specialties while training under the samurai over there. And this was no different; it helped him become knowing of his blades and knowing how to stale it if he must. But even with his training and all he still can’t fully hold back the animal, it was what he was. Logan couldn’t help it though he still detests it seeing as it wasn’t him that was fighting it was his rage.
“The style is called Iaijutsu or the art of mental presence and immediate reaction. Basically today we are going to work on you becoming more aware of your claws. And if you’re anything like me that’s your main weapon not your fists. This will help you stale your blade after you have accomplished what you set out to do with them”. Logan knew this was one of the important lessons that Faith needed to know, if she didn’t know how to stop using her blades then there wouldn’t be any point. Now it was time to get her ready for the training and she had to have something out to begin.
“Take your claws out swipe the air then retract them back in, then do it all over again. With both hands one after the other”.

Faith racked her brain as she tried to grasp what he was trying to tell her. Iaijutsu. It was something that she wasn’t taught in her training, and wondered what was so special about it. She listened as her father told her what that was, and understood it. It was more of a control thing, than what she was used to. He was trying to get her to have more control of her claws than what she already has. She could force them out when she needed, but she had to put some effort into retracting them once she did. So she basically knew that he was trying to get her to be ‘one with her claws’.
“Take your claws out swipe the air then retract them back in, then do it all over again. With both hands one after the other”
She raised an eyebrow, but nodded her head in answer to his instructions. She closed her hands into her fists, and kept her wrist straight. She forced out one set of her claws, and sliced the air in front of her. When she needed to bring them back in, she had a small fight. However she managed, and repeated with her other hand. She then did five more sets, before she got the hang of it. She didn’t have to fight herself to reel her claws back with nothing but her will. She then began to wonder if she would still be able to do this if she was attacking or being attacked, but she knew the only way to find out was to try it.
Faith continued to do as he asked, but looked to her father to see how he thought she was doing. She automatically sniffed the air, as she tried to get anything. Finally she had just decided to come out and ask him, which was something she had never asked before in her previous training. ”Like this?” She asked him as she continued to do as he instructed her with her claws.

Logan watched as Faith gave him a raised brow but then went on to do the exercise anyhow. He knew she must have figured this is simply to get her to control her claws better. To be able to retract them if necessary and have a better control over her hand. It wasn't a hard exercise but a necessary one to continue on. He then started to listen as she went and cut the air with her claws. It reminded him of the time over in Japan, while doing the same exercises. The only difference was he wasn't using his claws more using a Samurai sword. He remember the sound that both blades made when cutting the air. They made very distinct sounds when doing so, which he could determined. The claws made more of a clean cut sound, while the Samurai blade made more of a whistle cut.
Before he could think more on that Faith woke him up from his thought asking him if she was doing it alright. She was getting the hang of it, but she was driving it more on anger then it just being the blade. She had to release the anger and feel her blade cut through the air, not just simply swing your arms around. "Your almost there Faith, just relax, don't swing with the animal, cut to cut". He wasn't going to tell her what she was supposed to feel for. Once she did, he knew she would understand and they could move on. Logan thought it best that somethings you experience without intervention.

Faith continued to cut the air with her claws, but she felt that something was missing from this exercise. She only knew how to fight one way, but she somehow sensed that he was trying to teach her that there is another way. As she sliced the air, she heard the familiar sound of her claws cutting it. It was a clean sound compared to a whistling of a sword blade. From her training, she knew the difference and it had saved her limbs more than once. However she felt her anger, her animal, rise at the memory and she clenched her teeth in response. She felt her hands reflect the emotion inside of her.
"Your almost there Faith, just relax, don't swing with the animal, cut to cut"
She nodded her head and paused in her exercise. She put her unarmed hands at her sides, and closed her eyes. She then quickly mediated and opened her eyes once again, then looked to her father. She was actually quite calm and collected, and the animal was nowhere near the surface. She then lifted one hand, wrist held straight, and extended her claws. She then sliced at the air, retracted them, and repeated with her other hand. This time as she did, she felt in more control of her claws. She felt she knew them better than what she did when she left her room earlier that morning.
Faith knew she was doing the technique right, as he had confirmed that much. She continued to feel her claws cut through the air, and she could swear that she could feel the air move around them as she did. As she brought the hand that was moving through the air, she retracted her claws. Then with the other hand, she extended her claws as she brought it up. As she worked, she felt herself smirk in pure discovery. ”It feels…different.” She commented slightly elated, and in a tone that said she was experiencing pure happiness for the first time.

Logan smirked a bit at her, she seemed to be getting it now as she closed her eyes and calmed herself. She was feeling how it feels to hold you blade not at anger, but in content. She was not swinging in all directions anymore she was swinging with control. And that was the point, to strategize where to swing and when to stop. She knew the foundation of being a true warrior and he felt proud. "That's good Faith, your a quick learner, your on your way to being a true warrior at heart". But now he was going to teach her techniques that don't kill but disables the opponent. She might have learned some back in the facility but they trained her to kill with them. The next technique was good at both calming and would teach her to not always have the instinct to kill.
"Alright Faith, that's enough of that, you seemed to know how to swing your claws without anger. But now your not going to use them anymore your going to use your fists instead. The best way to beat an opponent is hurting his pride by not killing him. This technique will show you how to do so, it is called Jujutsu. It is an old Japanese martial art that profound in joint locking or throwing techniques. There is still punching and kicking involved but the point is to disable the target so he can no longer continue the fight". Logan then approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder. He pressed it a bit hard and kicked her knee in softly guiding her through the steps. Then with his free hand grabbed her wrist and moved it to her back aiming it by her spin while keeping his body away from her free hand.
"I've just disabled your ability to do anything at the moment, you have your free hand and you can strike whenever you wish. But you are still in a vulnerable spot, before you even make a move I can stick my own claws into your head and disable you quickly. This is what Jujutsu is for, to disable not to kill. I'll teach you some techniques such as this today while we still have sometime". He smirked at her as he let go of her arm and stepped away to let her up.

As Faith continued to do the exercise, she felt more control than what she knew she had. However, he didn’t tell her to stop so she continued to work the air with her claws. She wondered where he learned all this stuff from, but then thought about her file. It had said that he had spent some time in Japan studying combat techniques from the masters. She wondered what else he had in mind for her to learn while they where there, and she of course wanted to know everything.
”That’s good Faith, you’re a quick learner, your on your way to being a true warrior at heart”
She heard his praise and she only ended up giving the biggest smile she had ever done. For some reason, praise from him was the most important thing to her in the world. It was like she wanted his approval, and is very willing to please him even if the two of them had only met yesterday. She realized that she saw him as the parental figure, and like any child would she wanted to please him. She knew she was responding better to him than she did Baptiste, as her father didn’t attempt to kill her when she was training. She pushed that thought back before her father noticed the change.
There is still punching and kicking involved but the point is to disable the target so he can no longer continue the fight"
Faith watched as he approached her, and placed a hand on her shoulder just like he did outside. Then he started to increase the pressure on it, before she felt the air move behind her knee where he gave her a soft kick. She knew he wasn’t out right attacking her, just demonstrating. She knew the difference, and this was a big one. She was now off balance, and her arm was pinned behind her back. Her other hand was no where near him, and thus she couldn’t counter him.
"I've just disabled your ability to do anything at the moment, you have your free hand and you can strike whenever you wish. But you are still in a vulnerable spot, before you even make a move I can stick my own claws into your head and disable you quickly. This is what Jujutsu is for, to disable not to kill. I'll teach you some techniques such as this today while we still have sometime"
She watched as he smirked at her, and knew what he meant. She nodded her head in understanding as he let her go and stepped away. She then got back her balance and turned to look at him with an eager look. ”You most likely figured out that I was taught something similar, but instead of disabling I was to kill…” She turned her head to push back the memories of all those people she had cut down, and swallowed the tears. When she was calm again, she returned her attention to her father. ”So how do I practice them?” She finally asked him, attempting to get back to the lesson at hand.

Logan knew that Faiths past was most likely linked to her anger and rage, hell his very own memories was due to his. Although there were other factors that dealt with that, such as his feral side, his memories contributed to it. The case had to be the same with Faith, her heartbeat would rise and fall at times, out of no where even without much warrant. Her scent changes from a calming one to a very deep scent, hinting pain and sorrow that she must have experienced young. No child should have been put through that, but he guessed in the end it helped her survive this long. And with any warrior survival was important, no matter the circumstance. He was just glad however that she was learning to find sort of peace with her self and not hold her claws with contempt or anger. It slowed her movements anyway and it was a lesson she needed to learn early before she went on with her life.
After the whole demonstration to her, she seemed to gain a spark of enthusiasm to learn more. She seemed like a sponge willingly to soak up all the water she could at one moment. Logan listened to what Faith had to say about how she learned similar things. He shook his head slightly, what she learned was different not similar. "No Faith, you didn't, to hold your blade with anger and death, that's different than fighting for something. What you learned was far different and it's going to take this and more to make you unlearn it". He than heard her ask how she was going to practice such moves, Logan smirked at the question than nodded. After the nod a robot appeared just for sparing for hand to hand combat and nothing else. The robot was made out of a dense material so people like himself and Faith couldn't break it after a few attacks. "This right here, this thing is what your going to be practicing on from now on".
Logan got in front of the bot and looked back to Faith as he motioned for her to get a better view to watch. "These are a few moves that you can use to disable your target effectively and quickly". Logan then grabbed he arm of the bot than pulled it back in a arch over the shoulder. He than kicked in the knee, than formed a fist and punched the bot out as it slowly fell on the floor. It than got back up ready again for Faith to go and practice the move. "Understand? it will quickly disable the target so it can not attack anymore. Than with the final blow will knock out the target as long as the strike is heavy enough".

Faith wondered what he was going to teach her today, and how hard he was going to work her. She nodded her head in agreement when he told her that her past lessons were different than what he was teaching her. She raised one eyebrow when he told her that it was going to take today’s lessons and more to unlearn her previous teachings, and wondered what else he was going to teach her. She knew that what he was teaching her, slowed her movements down and she remembered the first time she had tried to control her attacks. It was something she quickly learned that did not accomplish anything close to their plans for her. So she didn’t even try to attempt to control herself during her training sessions after that punishment. It was harsh, and she took days to heal properly. She shook her head to clear the memory so that she can focus on the lessons that were set before her.
She watched as he gave a nod, and a robot appeared just for sparring with her. She could smell the metallic material from where she stood, and nodded her head when he told her that it was her sparring partner from then on out. She then watched as he got he in front of the robot and looked back at her. She then moved to get a better view when he motioned for her to do so. She wondered what he was going to show her now, and she didn’t have long to wait before finding out what it was. She of course was eager to learn what he had to teach her.
"These are a few moves that you can use to disable your target effectively and quickly. Understand? it will quickly disable the target so it can not attack anymore. Than with the final blow will knock out the target as long as the strike is heavy enough"
Faith watched as he grabbed the bot’s arm and pulled it in an arc over the shoulder, kicked in the knee, and punched the thing out. She nodded her head in an answer to understanding the move. She had already committed the move to her memory, and approached the machine looking up at her father. She was going to wait for him to give her permission to go ahead and practice the move. ”Remember you asked me for the name of the guy who helped me out of Weapon X facility? Well, he told me his name was Venom.” She said and turned toward the bot, completing the exercise gracefully and effortlessly.

Cat headed towards the danger room. Her guitar was on her back and her dog Bear walked at her side. She had bean told she needed to learn how to fight incase she was unable to use her powers. She didn't like the idea to much. She was best at distance where she could use her powers. But she knew deep down that they where right if she was ever unable to sing or play her guitar she would be in trouble. She knew absolutely nothing about fighting. When she reached the Danger Room she froze. There was already somebody in there training. She watched as Wolverine showed some girl how to attack the enemy a certain way than watched as the girl tried it. The girl was flawless in her attack. She wondered if she would ever be as strong and swift as her. Raising her hand she ran it through her hair tucking it behind her ear showing the scar that ran across her face. She was still trying to figure out if she could come or go but couldn't seam to move or speak. Bear growled softly and shoved his nose in her hand as a way to try and comfort her. Cat laughed softly and bent down scratching Bears ears. Bear was always at her side. If he wasn't, he wasn't that far away.

Logan went back a bit as he watch Faith preform the move quickly and perfectly as he demonstrated. She was a quick learner, but that didn't mean she was quick enough to learn to control her anger. He knew anything could set her off and that was dangerous. She could become public enemy number one of she wasn't careful. She could also change the worlds view on mutants in one fell swipe. All Logan could do was hope that his training methods that he gain while in Japan would help her. If not at least allow her to effectively find another way to win a battle than rather kill. Well with training she will learn how to deal with that anger, so hopefully after a few more sessions she will be ready. Though with the way she learns he guessed that it will only take a few short ones before it sinks in that she doesn't need the anger or feral side to fight.
Than before Logan could show Faith a new move someone else came down into the danger room with a dog. Logan's noise picked up the scent, while his ears picked up on the steps. Turning around he looked at the young girl and the little dog near her side. Raising a brow he crossed his arms and looked at the girl, "What are you doing here, do you have permission". Logan wanted to continue to teach Faith, it would be safer on both ends if he did. However he couldn't ignore he girl that just walked in the danger room. He needed to know if she had permission to be down here, or she would have already broken one of the rules.

Faith performed the last move he had showed her perfectly, but she knew she had an audience other than her father. She heard their footsteps enter the danger room, and her nose picked up two different set of scents. One was of course a canine, but the other was a mutant. She really wanted to ask her father what she had to fight for, but she decided to wait until the new comers were dealt with. She really did want to continue to learn, and she found herself doing better in this training than she had with Baptiste. She felt her teeth grind as she thought of her tormentor, and knew she needed to calm back down before she got out of hand. She could feel her fists close, and her temper rising. She took some deep, calming breaths as she closed her eyes. She felt herself relax and knew she had effectively calmed herself.
"What are you doing here, do you have permission"
She automatically stepped closer to her father, not knowing anything about this girl she now saw after turning around to look where her father was looking. She could of course protect herself, but she was so distrustful of strangers and this is what that was. Nothing more. She then raised an eyebrow at him asking the girl if she had permission to be down there, and wondered if she had permission to be there as well. Truth be told, she knew absolutely nothing of this school or its rules. She then looked up to her father, and stared at him for a few seconds before asking her question. ”Do I have permission?” She didn’t want to get into trouble…
