AJ didn’t like this idea, of course he wanted to protect Max but he was starting to doubt the idea of just turning up with her in his arms if he was being honest. Yet he didn’t care that much as he was sure that the x men would protect her and keep her safe, if they didn’t there would be words between the x men and himself which wouldn’t be good for anyone. He did know that they would at least hear him out, even if they didn’t he had Max in his arms and they weren’t going to make him just dump her and he wouldn’t do so anyway. He said that he would protect her and if that had been from the X men also then so be it.
Arriving at the office of Xavier he looked at Max. “Can you knock my hands are full with you,” he said with a grin

Max wasn't sure what was on the other side of the door she was now standing infront of. The fact he asked her to knock though made it clear it wasn't his room. She found herself blushing when he mentioned she would have to knock since his hands were full with her. It was when he said things like that which made Max think maybe he was attracted to her like she was attracted to him. She looked from AJ to the door before reluctantly knocking. She pressed against AJ more, hoping somehow she would just disappear in AJ's arms. Of course she knew that was physically impossible - unless you could be invisable due to a mutant ability - but it didn't stop Max from hoping. Max turned around in AJ's arms and buried her face into his muscular bare chest. AJ was definately beautiful in every sense of the word.

Xavier slowly opened the door. he was not expecting any one at the moment but he did have an open door system. he opened the door to see a young mutant one of the newer students with a woman in his arms his smiled droped a she looked at her and he did not know her. THat did not mean it was not a student.
"come in and place her on the sofa." he did not think to ask any questions the woman looked unhappy. " so tell me what has happened." he could not do anything but help. After all he was trying to turn this school to a save haven for all.

AJ smiled when Max spoke he knew that it would be hard for Max to get use to people but at the same time he knew that if he stayed close to her then he would be able to look after her more than most would and he would want to until she was feeling well enough that she didn’t need him as much, if she did need him to be able to be there for her then he would be, at the same time if he had the chance of seeing her as a confident person that didn’t need him as much as she did but he didn't mind if they didn't get that.
When Charles opened the door AJ knew that it was good that Charles was in the room but at the same time he knew that if Charles didn’t give Max a safe environment then he wouldn’t have a problem leaving with her. Carrying Max into the room he placed her on the couch but sat next to her so that he was close if she needed him to be. “I found her at alkali lake.” He said “yet she seemed extremely nervous as we got closer to the school I would like to know why.”

Max found herself wishing to be in AJ's arms again as soon as he put her down on the couch. She didn't like being away from him. She felt protected with him close to her. Max watched AJ and the other man as AJ asked why she got more scared the closer they got to the school. How had he noticed that? Why was he asking that man why she did? She didn't understand how this man was supposed to know something like that. She had never told a soul... She hated schools. Well, she hated one school. She had never been to another. Nuns are supposed to be good... They are supposed to be women of god... Max thought, biting her bottom lip as she tried her best not to cry. Unfortunately her eyes began to tear up anyway. She pulled her knees to her chest and held them there, wanting to make herself as small as possible. They wanted me hunted down... Guns... so many guns. She whimpered a little, burying her face into her knees.

Xavier headed to a cupboard and pulled out a small bag. "i just going to give you the once over to make sure you are well. My name is Charles Xavier and i would like you to please be clam" the final world was also a telepathic suggestion. if was not strong enough that she had no choice but he hoped it would clam her down. "as for her her apprehension that is for her to say no one else."
he pulled out a small torch and shone it in her eyes. He was worried the woman was going to do some thing dangerous. "now would some one please tell me the whole story starting from the beginning?"

AJ watched as Charles checked on Max and he had to admit that he felt very protective of her, he didn’t want anything to happen to her and he had wanted to keep her safe. That had been why he had taken her to the school but it appeared that it hadn’t been the best decision as she had gotten scared when they had gotten to the school but he hadn’t done it to try and scare her if anything that was the last thing that he had wanted but it had appeared that he couldn’t help that from what he had seen it looked like Max didn’t trust Charles in the slightest.
“I found her at Alkali lake,” he repeated “I don’t know what happened to her,”

Max lifted her head to look at the man who told her to try to be calm. Calm. How could she be calm in a place like this? Civilisation. She had been running from it for years. Biting her bottom lip she just sat there as the man shone a torch in her eyes. She guessed he was checking on her health. When he asked what had happened, Max bit her bottom lip even harder. She didn't want to tell anyone about her life but she had a feeling she didn't have much of a choice in this situation.
"I... I was an orphan... I never knew my parents. I was... I grew up at a Church Orphanage... I was raised by nuns. I never got adopted. I was taught at the Nun's school. I suppose I had a nice life then. Until I was thirteen. One night after my thirteenth birthday I had a nightmare, when I woke up the nuns and a few of the other orphans were in my room looking terrified. I tried to ask them what was wrong but all that came out was a growl. They called me an animal. A spawn of the devil. Turned out in my sleep my ability had showed up for the first time. I had woken up as a tiger cub. I stayed in my tiger form after that. The nuns spread word about me to the other churches. Before long every two legged I came across tried to hunt me down... hurt me... Before long I forget I was ever a two legged... I was just an animal. A tiger. I'm twenty two... or something. I dunno. I met AJ today. He explained about mutants. My body reacted to the information and I changed back for the first time into my two legged form. My memories came back after that."
Max explained whilst keeping her eyes shut closed tightly as tears poured down her cheeks.

"well welcome to Xavier School for the gifted. You are among friends here we all have powers. You are among friends here none of us will hunt you. Would you care for some thing to eat and drink?" He walked over to a small fridge he pulled out a sandwich he had been saving and some water. "its not much i know." he placed the food and drink down beside her. he watched as she started to cry. he looked to A.J. and gestured for him to go to the woman. there was a bond between them and if she felt safer with him close than that is what happens.
His hart bled as he heard her story. " i am sorry for asking it clearly upsets you but i promise i will not let any one harm you and A,j will tell you i do my best to keep my word. I think A.J. you did the right thing by taking her here. normally i would ask rouge to help get people settled in but i think that you would be the right choice." he looked at her again. " my dear there is a home here for as long as you want it."
Xavier never turned any one away he believed he could help them all. in truth he still believed he could save eric and the longer he was here the longer he would be able to do that to one of his oldest friends.

When Max spoke AJ felt his powers rage, it had been something he hadn’t been able to control with extreme emotions it wasn’t something that he had been able to do since his powers had been in his body. His hands crackled with electricity before he closed his hands so that he didn’t hurt Max or the professor. He was going to make sure that Max was safe and that she had been able to go back to the school and get revenge for the actions that had been taken against her, not that he would have a problem with doing that for her. Simply because of the fact that she had been a mutant they had treated her that way and it wasn’t something that he had agreed with and he was more than capable of being able to getting that revenge for her.
“Perhaps it would be best to keep her away from the other students and let her come back into the world slowly.” He said “after all if it had been years since she had been around people it could be hard for her to get use to it and be overwhelming.”

With tears running down her face she listened to AJ and the professor talk. She looked from the professor to AJ when they finished. She just wanted to get out of here. She wanted to be on AJ's bed with him cuddling her. She felt safer in his arms. It seemed it was the only place she felt at peace. She noticed though that AJ looked tense and angry. Was he mad at her? Max hoped not. She didn't want to loose him too. Unable to stay away from AJ though, Max gingerly stood up and shuffled over to him. She wrapped her arms around his strong arms and buried her face into his chest. Inhaling his scent deeply she liked the way it was starting to coat her entire body. She liked smelling like AJ. It made her feel as if she was his mate, although she doubted he'd ever want that. She was an animal after all, and he was a god. He could have anyone in the world. Why would he stay with a broken animal? Still, Max would enjoy his company while she could have it.
"Can we go to bed now?"

"It sounds to me A.J. that you are offering to do that task?" it was clear she was in no fit state to talk just now and he was not going to push it. She needed rest and adjustment. " I think it would be best if you take her away some place quiet. Let her adjust and then we can talk properly. I think after a good night sleep you will both feel better and we can finish this talk then. From what i can see she is emotionality drained and confused slightly other than that My dear you are in fine shape."
He was proud of the way his student had handled this he just wished they would all act like that. He just hoped that this was something the young man would not regret later on. "A.J as i have said i will be holding you responsible for her in the short time until she decides what she wants to do."

When Charles spoke AJ was taken back from that because of the fact that Charles had thought that he hadn’t wanted to be able to look after Max himself when in fact it had only been him that he had wanted to look after max rather than allowing someone else to do it, after all he had kept her safe up to this point so he wasn’t going to let someone else take over from that job because of the fact that they where older or had more experience, from what it looked like only AJ had been able to get close to Max as she seemed to only want to be touched by him.
“Of course,” Aj said pulling Max to his chest “when your ready to go I’ll take you to my room.”

Max ended up nuzzling his chest as he pulled her against it. She liked his scent. It was warm, rich, and very appealing. His scent felt like home to her. She let the scent envelop her as AJ and the professor talked. She didn't even feel any pain in her left hand because she was so absorbed in his scent, and the feeling of his strong arms around her. Max had never thought herself lonely before she met AJ. She was used to her life, but now, after meeting AJ, she found she couldn't picture her life without him. She was drawn to him and she couldn't help it. Upon hearing the conversation die down, and AJ say they could go whenever she was ready, Max opened her eyes and looked up at AJ's beautiful piercing blue eyes. She could definately get lost in his eyes quite easily. AJ was definately a god. He could have any female ( or male ) he wanted. She didn't know why he was wasting time looking after her, but she was definately happy he was.
"Can we go now?"
