Nick had never thought of it that way, never seen that persecution was a crucial part of being a mutant, a crucial part of what kept them together, allowed them to relate to eachother. "Hey instead of trying to relate to our pasts, try to relate to us as we are now, also I already tried having a mother, it didn't work out so well, all I want now are some friends, try being a friend not a mother."
