"Mhh, true, if you threw some puddles at me, not much would happen...", John mused, realizing that Bobby was much more dangerous with just puddles that he could freeze into rockhard bullets. "What's your strategy if you get attacked and have enough water nearby? You just try to drown your enemy?"

He was a bit disappointed that she didn't have more questions. It kind of made her original interest in him pretty shallow. Oh well, she was just a little teenage girl after all. "So how did you end up with the X-Men?"

"Probably. Make a bubble around their head so that they can't get air in and when they breath it's just water"Aless mused softly,her eyes narrowing in through. "Though I am learning how to control the water in human bodies"

She blinked slightly at his next question."Oh, I came when my powers developed."She looked down,biting her lip."I was alone when it happened,I took off when my family was asleep"

Aless sighed deeply,rubbing an her arm. "My dad and brother's probably think I'm dead" She looked over at him"What about you? How'd you get with the Brotherhood?"

She sounded as if she never had gotten in such a situation, never had to fight her way out of something. Still, if he imagined that happening to him... pretty nasty. Curiously he looked at her. "Control the water in human bodies? What exactly would you be able to do there?" That sounded even worse, actually.

So, another mutant orphan. "Yeah, familiar story... how did you find the X-Men?" Usually it was them who found you, Xavier and his Cerebro machine... "And you do know that the Brotherhood ultimately is the group with the far more promising future, right?" He smirked. A little propaganda couldn't hurt. Though she didn't strike him as the Brotherhood type.

And then she had a question for him after all. "That's kind of a long story..." Oh yes, long and far too revealing if he'd really talked openly about it. "Let's just say, I got bored of the school and the X-Men, and Magneto was there at the right time and the right place and offered a more pausible course of action." He shrugged. "Still does."

Aless blinked and paused a moment,thinking over what she had learned from the books"Well,there's water in our blood and muscles. I figured since I can control water that if I could tap into that source I'd have a slightly better chance of surviving"

She shrugged slightly when he asked"It was a little hard,but I just key worded everything that was happening to me,found more than a few news articles with the name of this school. Decided to check it out. I've been here ever since"

She frowned softly,shaking her head slightly"The way the teachers are talking,it doesn't seem like it matters if we are X-men or Brotherhood anymore. The only thing we need to focus on now is trying to stay alive"

John frowned. "So... you could do what? Extract all the water from a body?" That actually was probably a very effective and gruesome method to kill someone. But obviously she didn't really know how to do that - if it was even possible. His frown deepened when she explained how she got to the X-Men. "Seriously? This place used to be top secret, now you can google it?" He shook his head. "No wonder they're so scared about an attack." Maybe all that had changed since the Stryker events and during the time Hank McCoy had been part of the president's council.

"So far I see no difficulties with staying alive. I'm more worried to die out of boredom..." He sighed. "And I can promise you, this peace... it won't hold. We'll beat this Apocalypse guy and everything goes back to what it was. As long as the humans fear and fight us, we will always be on different sides."

"No,nothing like that"Aless said,wrinkling her nose slightly. "In theory I should be able to take control of certain parts of the person's body. Keep their lungs from expanding,stop their heart from beating,take control of one of their arms and make them punch themselves"

She giggled softly at the last one. When he mentioned how easy it was for her to find this place she shook her head"It was years ago,when I was 13. We weren't at war at the time."

Aless sighed sadly and shook her head"I know. I think everyone at the school knows,but.....I don't want that fear to hold me back. Even if we go back to war with each other,while we're here I want to be at peace with people"

Pyro grimaced. "That doesn't sound much better. Try no to be able to do that when we are on different sides again, okay?" Then he smirked. A little fire would go far to distract her from being able to attempt things like that, he was pretty sure of it.

"So, if you're here since such a long time, how come you haven't been at the Alcatraz battle? Or was I just too distracted to notice you?" Everything had been pretty chaotic there, he had to admit. Also: Why wasn't she able to control her powers better if she was here such a long time already?

Though when he heard her speak about wanting to be at peace with everyone, he could imagine was the problem was: The Girl just didn't want to fight, that's why she hadn't learned the thing with the body water yet. "Yeah, well, good luck with that." They were here to prepare for battle, the most challenging ever if Magneto was to be believed. There was no space for peaceful little happy-thoughts.
