Ace had no intention of letting her out of the car but she didn’t need to know that, simply because right now there would be nothing that she could get to fast in this situation, he would be behind the wheel of a car and he could have killed her easily. However he didn’t want to kill her that way, it would be too quick and easy to do it that way he wanted to enjoy that he was going to cause her pain and suffering so there being a chance that it would get back to Logan that had been what he had wanted he didn’t give a damn what it would have taken to get to Logan he just wanted to get to Logan he didn’t give a damn how long it took it didn’t matter to him he just wanted the end result to occur and he thought that he was pretty close to achieving that aim.
“We are almost at your destination now,” he said “just a couple of minutes I reckon.”

Damn it! Rogue thought. She knew she had no choice now. She had to get out of here. Glancing back at her lap again she subtly took off one glove, revealing her bare left hand. She quietly leaned over and placed her bare hand against his cheek. Rogue held it long enough for him to go unconcious before whipping her hand back. She rummaged around in the door cubbies and found a windscreen wiper. She took it out and smashed it against the window, turning her head away. All the while the car was moving without someone steering it at quite a high speed. Glass shattered onto her, but Rogue ignored it. Rogue knew even if the car crashed X would probably survive if he had Logan's healing ability. With the window suitably broken she wiggled her body out of it, and tightened herself into a ball as she dropped through the air onto the ground. She ended up rolling a bit before she came to a halt. Her whole body ached, and she was sure she'd get bruises as well as have glass cuts if not glass embedded into her skin. Grabbing her shopping bag she leapt up, knowing she couldn't waste time seeing to herself. With one quick glance behind her, Rogue leapt into a run and began darting down the middle of the street. Deep down though Rogue she would need some huge bouts of luck to be able to escape.

Ace hadn’t been expecting Rogue to reach through and touch his cheek, his whole body went numb and he slipped back into the seat that he was sitting in. The cab swerved as he wasn’t completely in control of the vehicle and he almost hit an oncoming car the only way that he didn’t was because of the other car moved out of the way before beeping him. The loud beep was enough to rouse him from his whatever it was from Rogue and he span his car into the traffic on the other side of the road heading back towards her, getting close enough to her he got out of the cab and gave chase, he knew that if she went off into the woods he would get her with ease.
OOC: sorry it’s so short.

Rogue could hear footsteps coming after her. Damn it! Paniced, Rogue looked around trying to find somewhere to escape and hide. She could go deeper into New York or go to the forest coming up on her left. She supposed both had places she could hide. The city would be more public so it would be harder for X to kidnap her again. For some reason though she felt drawn to the forest. Then again she didn't know the feral blood that ran through her, and although she didn't have any ability resembling her father, Sabertooth, his feral blood still hummed through her. It drew Rogue to the wilderness, and of course like wise ferals. Not that she knew this. She had always thought she just loved nature and animals. She had no idea it ran deeper then that. Against her mind's bestter judgement Rogue changed course and bolted into the forest. She felt more at ease in the forest although her mind was screaming at her that she would be more easily caught in here.

Ace smirked as the woman went into the forest, this would be easy now, racing after her he moved into the shadow of one of the trees that was behind her before cutting it down and effectively blocking her exit from the him in the way that she had entered the forest, he knew the forest well and he knew that he had the woman exactly where he had wanted her, now he would just have to decide how long it would be before he had acted in a way that he could take her, he didn’t know if he would simply scare her or scratch her skin again, or maybe this time he would go further than that, moving behind he let her hear his claws scratch along the trees around them.
“Nervous red?” he called out throwing his voice.

Rogue felt a shiver run down her spine as she heard a set of claws scraping against the trees. The shiver was definately fear, and she refused to say it was anything else. God, she had to escape. X scared her, regardless of how attractive he may be. Besides, he probably had thousands of women fawning all over him that was definately worth a lot more then she was - plus he'd be able to touch them. Forcing herself to focus back onto running from X she glanced quickly around to check for any dead ends and escape routes. Unfortunately and fortunately, she couldn't see either. Biting her bottom lip she made sure there was a large fallen oak tree between her and X before she eventually stopped. Rogue turned to face him, slipping the glove of her other hand off and putting it into her pocket, sliding the handles of her shopping bag over her shoulder. With both hands bare she looked at X, knowing although he didn't know about her ability entirely, he would know she had one and it had the abillity to know out its victims. He wouldn't know anything else probably, so Rogue knew she still had a slight element of surprise and advantage over him.
"Ah told you before, meh name is Rogue, and ahm not nervous."

Ace got the feeling that there was a chance that he could be able to change the fact that Rogue seemed to think that she was safe and that he wouldn’t cause any harm to her, he knew that he would be able to track her pretty easily. He couldn’t smell anyone else in the area which was something that suggested that he could track her for miles, if he had been honest he had never been tracking someone on the run and actually lost the scent which was a good sign for him, however at the same time they where in the woods and miles from the city so he was more than likely going to find her pretty fast.
“Why don’t you just give up,” he said “All I need is to get to Logan, I have no concern or problem with you.”

"Well, ya see, thats unfortunate, because if ya wanna get to Logan ya gonna have to go through me first. Ah'll protect him as long as ahm breathing."
Rogue responded, raising an eyebrow at X. She knew she was pretty much challenging him but what was the worst that could happen? Okay, she was absolutely terrified but she had to protect Logan. He would do - and had done - exactly the same for her. He was her father except by blood. She didn't want to get hurt, but she was an Xmen. She had been trained by Logan. If she whimpered, cowered, and begged for mercy then she would be doing Logan an injustice. He had trained her better then that. Of course she knew none of her training would be enough to defeat X in a fight - even if it happened to be a fair fight without dirty and cheating moves. She bit her bottom lip whilst trying to look unimpressed and intimidating. Rogue had a feeling though she wasn't doing a good job. Then again, she wasn't the kind that could mask or fake emotions well. She was an honest soul after all.
"Why don't ya move on and leave Logan alone? His death ain't gonna solve anythin'. Its just blood and a life wasted. If ya really wanted to get revenge you would make him create life, and then take the child to stand in the de lady's place. At least that way, a life isn't wasted, and more blood wasn't spilled."

Ace got the feeling that the girl wasn’t going to be intimidated easily so he cut at the tree that he had been scratching at causing it to fall in front of her and one behind her cutting both paths out of her way so that she was pretty much cut off, he knew that he could make sure that it was harder for her move, he knew that she was probably not going to be able to get over the tree but at the same time he knew that she might have some actual talent however he doubted it only because of the fact that he didn’t think many girls would have been out in the woods a lot.
“It isn’t the fact of who it was it was the fact that he didn’t give a damn that he killed her,” he said “he could have just injured her, instead he loaded her full of adamantium so she had no chance of survival she had no real healing factor so she stood no chance, do you know what it is like to find someone that you cared about dead that way?”

"Ah agree the way she died was awful... Ahm sure Logan regrets it, but from what ah saw, if he hadn't of killed her then she would have killed him. He defended himself the entire time, trying not to do any damage, but in the end... She wouldn't have stopped 'till he was dead. Ah know thats not much of a reason, but what would ya have done if you were in a similiar scenario? Ya would have defended yourself... Ahm sure of it. Ya would have chosen your own life if ya knew it was yours or someone elses with no other option. She had almost killed him... Ah am sorry about your loss. Please though, give up this revenge. Ya can still do so much with your life... Murder isn't something someone should have to be responsible for. Ya seem like a decent guy beneath all the... scariness. Please... find it in ya heart to leave it be."
Rogue pleaded, jumping a little as both trees fell blocking off any exit. He could easily kill her now. She was trapped. She just hoped she could get through to him without getting hurt. Unfortunately she didn't feel like she had much of a chance with that option.

Coming into her view Ace rolled his eyes at her. Putting his claws in he walked up to her. “I have seen it also on the security camera, she would have neutralised him I would agree with that but the intention was never to kill him.” Ace said bitterly “at that point Stryker had thought that he had been redeemable and he wanted Logan back, the rest of us didn’t give a damn and we wanted to be able to be judged on our own and that we wouldn’t be held to his standard, that was the difference we had just been told to neutralize if he had been seen by us, yet he killed her, with lethal force, that is something that we do not do, the fact that our agents never get our rogue is something we pride ourselves on, most of them would be a threat to humanity and the world if they were mentally unstable and that is a risk that we will not take. Logan is a risk and he is dangerous, he has caused you to be in danger and he doesn’t even know about it, I am not doing this against you I am doing it against him, it is the principle of the fact that he didn’t even spare a thought for her afterwards probably she was just the weapon X woman that was in his way, it is more than one person that he has killed, he is a threat to the rest of us and we will take the appropriate steps.”

Rogue understood and sympathised with the first half of X's speech. She only had memories from Logan's point of view, and as Xavier always said, there was two sides to each story. Besides, Logan hadn't been clued in on what the lady's precise orders were. All he knew was what Stryker had said, and what he had experienced in the fight. Rogue could concede perhaps they were both right, both wrong, or he was right, or she was right. No one would ever know the real truth. What was done was done. It could not be undone. However, when X began talking about Logan being dangerous, Rogue frowned. Now that she did not agree with. Sure, he was a little... wild. Feral as she liked to call it. Like Sabertooth. They were both feral, as was the lady in a way, and of course X as well. Hm... she seemed to always meet ferals... Rogue forced that thought from her mind. Logan was not dangerous though.
"Ah understand where you think Logan may be dangerous... Sure... he can be a little... wild... But for the entire time I have known him, he has been good. He has a good heart. Sure, he had or has an unusual way of doing things... He can seem terrifying. Ah know that. He has saved meh life more then once though. He is an Xmen, X. He does good. He saved the world numerous times. Once... he had to kill the woman he loved because she turned psycho so badly... she was going to kill everyone... it was the only way to stop her. No one else could get near her... No one else had the healing ability like he did to be able to get close... The battle of Alcatraz... She could have killed us all but he saved us. Then there was the Statue of Liberty... Ah was put into that machine against my will. Ah could have died. Humans could have died by being forced into becoming mutants in an unstable way, but he risked his life... He shredded the machine until it no longer worked... He saved meh life. He is making up for the wrongs he has done - both those he knows and those he doesn't know. He is trying to make amends..."

Ace rolled his eyes when the woman spoke, he was sick of the fact that people would argue that he had been so good and that he had gone against the group and that he had gone against Weapon X because of the fact that it had been something that they didn’t want to have happen but at the same time if they had been going against each other it would then cause problems. That had always been something that they had been wanting to deal with and if they did have to deal with each other rather than the fact that they where mindless monsters.
“You only see what he lets you see, this is a man that has been exposed to the most painful thing that I have experienced because of the fact that it was something that could drive you insane look at the likes of Sabretooth and yet he is somewhat sane.” He said “I am not saying that he would be a guy that couldn’t do good but he broke our code, that is something that will do not allow, at the end of the day it is hard to find someone outside of us that could kill another one, we are doing it to protect people like you.”

Rogue found herself flinching when X mentioned Sabertooth. She hadn't had any pleasant times with the man. First he threw a tree into the windscreen of the truck Logan was driving when he met her - she was in the car at the time. It shot inbetween the pair of them, fortunately not killing either. The impact of the brakes had sent Logan flying through the windscreen himself, whilst Rogue was trapped in her seat. The seatbelt of hers helped. Rogue guessed after the incident that Logan hadn't had his seatbelt on because he had his healing ability. It had still terrified Rogue though. Then there had been the statue of Liberty thing. Yep, Sabertooth was definately on her list of people to avoid. Rogue frowned as she tilted her head, looking at X. He sounded like he genuinely believed he was doing good. How could murder ever be constituted as good? Murder should never be taken lightly in any situation.
"Regardless of whatver you believe ya reasons to be, murder is never good. It should only be done when there is absolutely no other way. Logan is a good guy. He has turned his life around. Ah will protect him. If that means dieing in a fight with you then so be it."

Ace could tell that by the look on her face that she had not been lucky enough to avoid Sabretooth in her life, he truly hated the man, he had only met him once and he had wanted to kill him himself but Stryker had liked him for some reason, Ace didn’t know why but he had trusted his boss on that decision but he didn’t like the idea. He also knew that even though it wouldn’t be something that there was outside of the weapon X people wouldn’t understand because of the fact that it was something that was part of the business that they were in, if you are outside of that then you wouldn’t understand.
“Trust me,” he said “if I didn’t mind the code then I wouldn’t have a problem with him but at the same time this is something that meant a lot to us and it is something that if the same thing happened but it was the other way around he would do the same to me.”
