As for the possibility of you coming here already happened in your history books, I would really hope that that's not true" said James after seeing a bit of a twist in his time travel explanation, which really wasn't a good thing in Cable's case since that would mean that he had failed at stopping Apocalypse.
"So, what does this time machine of yours look like? Is it a flying DeLorean?" asked James with a light chuckle as he had a very strong feeling that Cable's time machine looked nothing like it.

" Now that i cant tell you. Its more complected than just a machine." truth was it was some thing he guarded more than any ting time travel was dangerous. "tell me what are you going to do with your new found power. A few weeks and i think you will of used it for a lot more than you want to. Its the way life is the temptations will grow you are only human after all. Clearly you took them for a reason. "
He looked at the boy with interest he wondered just what he was going to do. He stretched " Tell me what would you do if you went back in time?"

"Cable, I'm not going to lie to you. I have always been weak as long as I can remember and I'm not that confident in my abilities in a fight. Combined with the fact that my abilities didn't have any battle capabilities before I discovered my power mimicry, I knew that I would never be a good X-Men and I was content with the idea of living an average life. But when I discovered my ability, I was actually terrified of the idea that there was the chance that I could be made a part of the team and fight against beings that I would never willingly go up against"
"And even though joining the team would be my decision, other people will probably pressure me into it since I have this powerful ability. But I do admire the X-Men for what they do, courageously putting their lives on the line to defend others and to help a peaceful coexistence between humans. Something that I clearly don't have the guts doing... I guess I thought that with your powers I could become strong and do something heroic, at least once" explained James before he looked down at the ground. He couldn't look Cable in the eye since he basically told him that he was a coward and was a bit afraid of what he might say. But he did give some indication that he would like to be courageous and confident like them just by admiring them.
Whenever he did think about using his powers to fight crime like Superman or Batman, a part of him always told him that he would have to live the rest of his life looking over his shoulder and make it impossible to lead a normal life.But with the cries for help James was hearing with his telepathy, the urge to actually go out there and help became stronger and stronger. It probably wouldn't take that much to persuade him to use his powers on the front lines and live up to his full potential instead of helping people on the side lines like Cable previously said. After all, man is afraid of what he is capable of doing.

"tell me who are the real heroes in this world them man who can lift a truck above his head freeing some one from a car wreck or the woman who gets beaten every night just so her son will not face her husbands anger, or the fireman who rushes in to a burning building to save an old man who may die any way? its easy for people like you and me to use our powers every day to save life because we have these gift.
There are people on this earth who do what we do with no powers or help of tech or money. They are truly earths mightiest heroes because its in the soul to great and yet they go day in day out with out nothing not even a thank you. In fact most humans give them grief. Look threw some of the minds of people and you will see a hope that no x man has.
It is that hope that keeps me alive keeps me fighting i may have the power of a god and technology that no one on earth has but they are my insperation every thing i do every move is for them and to bring out the true power of humanity and grant them there rightful place.
There is a guard at rykers James Mathews i think his name is. Now he works with some of the darkest minds of this time. Look deep in his mind you will see a fire so strong it will humble you. He should hate all around him it should taint him working with people like that. Yet he is driven by love for his daughter who was killed by one of the very inmates he looks after and yet he still dose his job. With every day he honors her by showing the man who killed her he is better never given in to vengeance. even though the other guards would help him and no one would ever know. His soul is one of many like it that show us the world can be a better place." he did hope the boy would get the point of what he was trying to tell him. if he did he might just be smart enough to handle his power.
"you asked me how i cope with it, well its simple for every bad soul there is two that give you hope. Now look at the woman who is crying out with hunger look past her surface thoughts why is she hungry? " he listened in to her thoughts as much as she was hungry she was happy that her son was not. she was starving her self so her son could eat and that gave her a joy.

James would then take a good 5 minutes to think about what Cable just said about true heroes and how he could cope with his powers. As James listened to the thoughts, he did notice a dark soul here and there, but when he dug deeper into their minds, he noticed that that they weren't completely evil and had some good in them. Along with that, he heard the thoughts of ordinary citizens where most of them had hope for the future and were decent and good people. He also heard the thoughts of people try to get over their own fears do something unexpected. Probably the one that caught his attention the most was this guy in New Jersey who was on the ground of a convenience store fearing for his life while a guy with a gun was trying to rob the place.
Mustering up all of the courage he could, he tackled the robber to the ground and knocked the gun out of his hand. I need to be more like that guy, and unlike him I actually have the power to do some really great things thought James as he took a deep breath in order to prepare what he was going to say next. His instincts told him that this was a horrible idea and that he would end up getting killed, but James did his best to ignore those thoughts and mustered up all of the courage he could to take the next step that could turn his life around.
"Cable, I want to help you defeat Apocalypse and I'm not talking helping on the sidelines, I'm talking about the front lines. The way I see it is that your going to need all of the help you can get seeing how you can't stop a single person with all of this power you have. And with my ability., I can probably find a power that could actually kill him or make him powerless" said James who seemed sure and confident. Although he had the feeling that he pretty much looked afraid and unsure when he said this. After all, he was going against what his instincts told him, but these instincts he was going up against was the survival instinct that every human being had. And true heroes that risk their lives do their best to ignore it whenever they do something like rushing into a burning building.

Cable laughed as he said he would find a power that could kill Apocalypse. " kid you all ready have in my time i have killed him." cable smiled again the boy was assuming some thing. " you think i did not take some tech with me? My base is The island of provenance i took the whole thing with me when i came back in time.
I have weapons that are classed as experimental in my time. Could you kill some one could you live with the guilt that comes with it. Every time you have close your eyes you will see there face. It changes you."

"Wait, if you had killed him in your time, then shouldn't you be helping your people in the future recover from his rule?" asked James who was now starting to get a bit confused on why Cable came here if he had already killed Apocalypse. Unfortunately, the only thing James knew was that Cable came back in time to stop him and didn't know that his parents were Scott Summers and a clone of Jean Grey that he hasn't even heard of yet.
"I don't know, I guess I'll find out once I do. I mean, nobody is truly sure until they actually do it" said James as he himself wasn't completely sure if he could live with that kind of guilt. Sure, killing a person in a video game is easy, but killing an actual human being is completely different.

" you got it right it some thing that should never be taken lightly the first one is always the hardest and it stays with you for the rest of your life believe me. Killing is like sex you never forget your first time no mater how much you want to. It changes you in ways you will never truly understand. If you can avoid it do."
For him it was to late but the boy had never been down that road. He would hate for people to become what he had to be because of him he was responsible for enough people going down that as it was he did not want to bring any more down it if he could help it.

"That makes sense, I think..." said James after Cable compared killing to sex and how you would never forget your first in both acts. But as a virgin, James really couldn't identify with what Cable said, though he did think that he would never forget about his first. "So, do you think that the teaming up of the X-Men and Brotherhood will work out? I mean they have been enemies with each other for a long time" asked James decided to change the topic. He knew that the only reason why they were teaming up was to defeat Apocalypse, but how long could that team up possibly last?

"yes but Charles and Eric have been friends longer look back and when ever Xavier has needed help he has known that he can call for aid From magneto and when he was hurt magneto was ready to go to war to avenge his friend. At the moment they have a common goal and a strong friendship. The question is can the over come a political difference for longer than they need to?
Do you think that Apocalypse is the last big threat that the world will face as they come the two will unite time and time again to fight the good fight. one day they will see that there veiws do not mater and the brotherhood will just fade away."

"Well I hope your right on that part. Although I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of members of the Brotherhood keep true to their political values if that permanent team up were to happen" said James after Cable told him that the Brotherhood would eventually fade away. James would then look over at the creates and remembered how Cable told him to get out of here.
"Um, you know, if you need to get back to what you were doing, I'll leave right now. Though you never did exactly tell me how these powers of yours is slowly killing you" said James figuring that he could always copy Logan's healing factor to keep Cable's powers from killing him if he were to use them at their maximum.

"healing factors will not stop it if thats what you think. Mine dose not." cable sat down in mid air. " The human body can only hold so much power before well what happens if you blow a balloon up to much it pops. The human body is like that, healing factors work only if there is some thing left to heal. I seen it happen to others even if your body was to heal your mind would not. You would be trapped as a vegetable for all time.
Stay go its all the same to me i am waiting for some thing and will not be doing to much. Just did not want any grubby kids trying to play with the boxes as i dont want to see the school a burning whole in the ground."

"I think I'm starting to get it now. Using that power to do impossible feats like moving a city is basically air for the balloon, and too much air will make it pop. Since you know your powers better than I do, what's the absolute maximum I should lift with your telekinesis?" asked James wanting to get a good idea on what kind of limitations he should put on the telekinetic ability he copied from Cable. After all, he could theoretically lift anything with telekinesis on a class 5 level and who better to know his own power's limitations than Cable himself.

"no any use of the power is filling the balloon. Moving a pencil is a little puff while shattering a mountain is a larger puff. As for how much you can use it, Thats hard to say you, It depends on your body Mine was born with this power so it may take longer but you took it your body is not use to the strain it will create. Take it slow and work your way up to the biger stuff."
He did wonder how much the boy could take before his body started to push back. It was not the nicest feeling in the world. The boy would have a few tough days getting use to hearing peoples thoughts and learning the code of conduct before he offended some one.

"Well at least I'll have some serious fire power up my sleeves when I need it" said James with a cocky grin. However that was just a mask to hide what he was truly feeling. He really wasn't sure what the exact limits of his power mimicry were so there was a chance that he would keep these powers for ever. A part of him was a bit afraid of the fact that he was going to die sooner then expected while another part of him actually felt that he deserved it. After all, there were several times where his power could have proven useful and he saw this as some kind of punishment for squandering his gifts.
"I'll see you around Cable" said James as he headed out the front door figuring that the best thing to do now was test the limits of his power mimicry.
