Viator only smiled as he went over near the next bench. Near the bench there was a pedestal that had a glass case over it. With the push of a button on the side, the glass case opened up. It was like an advanced jukebox that used an MP3 player for the music played in the ballroom. Viator scrolled through the computerized list on the pedestal. After a moment he had chosen a song, it started out gracefully. Anyone who ever studied classical musical even in the slightest probably would know the famous waltz, 'Blue Danube Walts' by Johan Strauss.
Viator then walked over to his dance partner and bowed to her, then extended his hand out for her's. "It's okay, Kitty, it's very simply. Just mirror my footsteps," Viator said, taking her hand when she was ready. The music slowly started to rise in tempo as he gently led her to the middle of the room. He could see that she wasn't really used to heels so he would take it slow.
Viator moved Kitty's left hand onto his right shoulder. He softly grabbed Kitty's waist with his right hand. He raised his left hand that was holding Kitty's right. Viator held them up as he spoke, "Now, I'm going to move, one step per beat, starting with my left, I'm not much of a traditional ballroom dancer so don't feel embarrassed." Viator wanted to make sure she was comfortable. "Once you get a feel for it, we'll be making beauty in the eyes of the Austrian elite," Viator commented, his last bit referenced that the Austrians took great pride in ballroom dancing.

Kitty laughed softly at his reference and stared down, focusing hard on their feet and how they moved. She tried hard not to slip or fall, knowing it would be that much worse for her. The song was famous, having been on a lot of movies and parodies of things, but it was also on Kitty's classical mix CD at home. She had often done ballet to this and felt a little comforted in that she knew it.
Slowly, she matched her steps to his and tried to loosen her grip on his hand when she remembered she was squeezing for fear of falling. But the music was uplifting and gentle and sweet, it made her feel at home. She loved music and loved hearing it take her on adventures with such little effort. She owned everything from classical to pop.
Mischieviously on the side, Kitty's bag sitting on the bench near Viator's cane shifted quietly and Lockheed from within stared at the shiny cane with interest. He scooted the bag closer and closer slowly, trying to get a better view for the new toy.
Meanwhile, Kitty's hair flowed this way and that as they moved, the light from the the windows shinning in her hair to a lighter brown. The chocolate of her eyes lightened almost to a honey brown to Viator as she laughed happily.

Viator smiled as she slowly started to pick up the pace, and started to follow in rhythm. "There you go, now I want to show you something," the larger man said, as he started to do some more advanced tricks. His powerful strength almost carried Kitty, as he spun her and they moved about the ballroom. It was then the whole dance floor's gravity shifted. Viator had changed the gravity by a little, so they would be levitating in the air. While being able to be free to move about, like they were in controlled space.
Viator smiled, seeing the reflection of the light on Kitty's brown hair. She looked beautiful as she smiled back at him and he had a grin on his face. They were literally dancing through the air and gently coming back down, then going back into the air. It would be amazing to even a mutant if they didn't have any power similar to flying. "Kitty, what do you think of this place?" he asked, as the waltz kept playing its up beat tempo. Viator wanted to hear her voice again.

She smiled happily, "It's wonderful! It's so beautiful and other worldly. It almost seems mystical in ways." She glanced down at their feet to ensure she didn't step like a bafoon, but she found her depth perception a bit off and could no longer find the floor with her toes. She glanced up at Viator, her eyes wide in almost panic. They were floating, Kitty couldn't fly, she had a simple gift that let her stay on the ground, though lately it had turned into something else. She could do a few more things that she hadn't told anyone yet.
"Oh my gosh," She blinked at Viator, trying to understand. "You fly too!?"
Just then, Lockheed had made his way to the cane and licked his chops happily. He reached out and knocked the cane down. It clanked to the floor loudly and caught Kitty's attention. "Lockheed!" The dragon slipped back into the bag quickly, guilt in his eyes as he mumbled an apology.

Viator smiled at her happiness. It was wonderful to have started such a relationship in such a short period with a stranger he had only met hours ago. They danced through the open area of the ballroom, they would move into the air and then descend on the floor. This would constantly happen and their movements simply made them fly through the air. "Yes Kitty, technically I can fly, but it is my power to manipulate gravitational molecules and forces. I'm just constantly changing the gravity in the room, so our movements will flow with it," he explained to her. They simply levitated in mid air, as he spoke.
Viator's head turned towards the bench when he saw his cane was knocked over. He saw a figure move into the bag, as Kitty yelled out an odd name. The male mutant wondered what it could be. He felt comfortable enough with Kitty to ask her. "What was that, my dear?" he asked in a curious tone. The waltz started to near the end of the song as its tempo was a constant upbeat tempo. Viator started to pick up the speed of their dance. Viator's control in his powers and being able to focus on other things showed his great control. This kind of control only came with years, and years, fo practice.

Their dance came to a fast tempo and Kitty bit her lips as it slowly ended. "That was...my dragon." She sighed and removed herself from Viator's grip easily and approached the bag, now shaking with a purple tale shivering with fear. She picked up the bag and opened it. "Out. Now. You know better." Lockheed's small, purple form flew from the bag and landed on the bench with guilty eyes, tail wrapped around him as he held the tip in his clawed hands. "Jeez, I can't take you anywhere!" She turned and revealed her friend to Viator. "This, is my baby dragon, Lockheed. He's....a bit mischievious." She noted, poking the dragon's side. "Go on," her voice sounded smoother. "Introduce yourself."
Lockheed shook away his guilt and flapped his wings, flying up and around Viator before landing on Viator's shoulder. "Don't be rude, Lockheed." She chastised him.

Viator's eyes lit up with surprise, over the many years he was alive, the man had never come across a dragon. He was amazed as it flew around and then landed on his shoulders. The older man pet him on the head, it seemed to be friendly and listened to Kitty well. "You have a great pet, Kitty, I never knew dragon's existed,"[./b] he said, as he walked over near the benches where Kitty was.
One would notice that the gravity in the room shifted back to normal. He picked up the cane and his jacket. Viator went to put on his jacket, and Lockheed decided to fly up for a moment as he did. The dragon landed again on his shoulder and he sat down on the bench. "Well Kitty, what did you think of ballroom dancing with no gravity?" Viator asked with a laugh. His mind thought of what to do next with the lady. But from the few windows that were laminated with decorations, the sun's light could be seen slowly disappearing behind the horizon. Followed by the moon of night life that was ready to shine.

She smiled as Lockheed took such a liking to Viator, and the man had barely blinked with such a pet. He'd been surprised, sure, but rather accepting. It set Kitty's mind to ease. "Ballroom dancing is definately a fun event, I'd love to do that more often. And gravity, is frightning but I think I could come to handle it." She laughed and picked up her bags. "Lockheed, I know you have a new friend, but into the bag, boy, humans aren't so accepting, you know that." The dragon frowned with a whine and slipped inside her side bag with a final grunt.
"Well," She smiled to Viator. "It's rather late, I had best get back to the mansion."

Viator looked at his Tourbillion watch, a very expensive black watch. He saw that time had passed by so quickly when spending it with someone, and especially enjoying it. He smiled as he watched the dragon obey his masters orders and fly into the bag. "Ah, you're right, it is getting late, I'll take you back to the Mansion, it's on my way home anyways," Viator said, as he started to walk towards the doors. He opened the door and stood there waiting for Kitty to follow suit.
Viator looked at her, and then reached in his pockets. He took out his phone and dialed a number, "Hello, yeah, uh-huh. At the ballroom studio, okay good," Viator said, waiting for Kitty. Once Kitty was ready to go, he ushered her outside, thanking the receptionist on the way out. In front of the studio, there was a black Lincoln compact, with a driver in front of it. "This is a special taxi service, I usually walk, or fly home, but I wouldn't want such a lovely lady straining herself," he said, as they started to walk up to the car.
Viator opened the door for Kitty, that led into the black luxurious interior. He really had a good time with her and would try to ask her the simple questions on the way. He signaled the driver to start driving towards Westchester County. On their way, Viator decided to approach her with the question. "Hey Kitty, would you like to go on a real date later?" Viator asked, followed by a convincing smile.

Kitty blinked, confusion in her eyes hiding surging want. "Well, a date?" She repeated dumbly. Lockheed growled and nudged her hip inside the bag. "Ow." She blinked away the confusion more and tried to reply. "Let me get this straight, you're as old as...jeez, I don't know, as old as the Nile, you fly home, know how to ballroom dance, pay for all my stuff, including new shoes, which I wanted to thank you again for those and the meal...and you want to date...me?" She was simple, an ordinary girl from Ilinois and at the mansion, every boy had ignored her until recently. Kitty frowned, trying to think. Why had it seemed that suddenly, every guy was after her? She wasn't upset with it, but more taken aback, unable to understand how to react. "I'm...I'm actually dating someone, right now." She added on the end. Colossus was at the mansion waiting for her with strong arms to embrace her. Bobby had betrayed her and her heart still ached for it, but Piotr had taken her in immediately and the thought that the large Russian would find out such a man as Viator had taken Kitty out to dance and paid for her meal- well, Kitty could see his steel forming over his skin quickly in defense. No one touched his 'Katya', that was for sure.
She shook her head, "What is it with men, lately?" She asked, more to herself than to Viator. Though, the idea of flight in the arms of Viator did spark a strange excitement in her that she wasn't sure she should pay attention to. Kitty had always had a fascination with flying but anything that got her closer to Viator might ensure his pummeling from Piotr.

Viator sat there as the car came to a stop in front of a large gated mansion. "You can just wait outside, my friend," Viator told the driver as took out the key from the ignition and stepped out of the car. The older man looked at Kitty and simply nodded. His eyes understood her, and from how she had said it, Viator did not believe her. Maybe it was the complexity of the human brain that did not accept things they didn't want, but Viator simply didn't believe Kitty when she said she was already dating. He simply smiled and looked at her.
"I respect a woman's decision, but if you ever need some help, or want to go around New York, call me," Viator stated, as he handed his business card to her. It was a simple card that read, "Viator", 'xxx-xxx-xxxx' (His number), and his profession: Merchant. It had a simple logo of a skull with a crown on it. The logo also had a V, but with two swords crossing to shape it. "I had a fun time with you Kitty, hopefully we will have another day," Viator said with the same smirk on his face.
Viator wished for something more eventful than what had happened. He pictured the girl accepting his offer and the rest of the day being a blur. But today would be another long day in his eternal life.

Kitty took the card with a vague smile and stepped out the car, approaching the gate and stopping to turn around and watch the car begin to leave. The autumn leaves flew up in a blur with the car's speed and Kitty sighed, looking down at the card. Viator was incredibly old, and Kitty had read enough vampire books to know....vampires lived forever and though some people would stick in there memories...others would vanish with so many years on their mind. Kitty didn't want to be a fling for the years she was alive and then Viator to move on for another love. She needed someone that would live with her, and die with her.
Though somehow, she knew one day she would be calling that number...
