Kitty smiled with a 'thank you' to the waiter for her menu and opened up the ornate piece to find her new interest for the day. Her feet ached from a long day of shopping, she'd crawled through one store after the other with nothing in particular in mind. She just liked looking. Though, her three bags next to her on the seat said otherwise. Her brown saddle bag, however, not part of the three containing newly bought purchases- shifted on its own. She stared down at it and nudged it with her hand.
"Lockheed, just chill, we're almost done and I'll sneak you some food, I promise." Her baby dragon, Lockheed, moaned and settled back down. People weren't fond of mutants to begin with, but dragons as pets on the other hand? No better.
The waiter returned and it was obvious he as a little interested in Kitty as he leaned leisurely against the other seat to take her order. She wondered idly if he'd be so interested when he found out she could phase him halfway through a wall. She ordered an entree of shrimp, her favorite, and a glass of coke. The boy smiled with a wink and took off for the kitchen.

Viator was sitting at a booth, when he saw a young woman walk into the restraunt. In the longest time, a female had caught his eyes. On top of her beauty, the female seemed to be a mutant. His power sensory abilities had confirmed that fact. The waitor was bringing his t-bone steak, shrimp scallops, and his soft drink. Before the waitor put down his food, he took out a twenty dollar bill and put it on the table. "Take my food to that table," he instructed the waitor, who eyed the tip and simply nodded. The waitor seemed hesitant at first, seeing that the woman he was interested was about to be taken by some elder man.
Viator looked in his mid twenties, maybe early thirties. But that didn't matter, Viator was immortal. He approached the Kitty's table behind the waitor, as he set the food down on the table. Viator knew he would take the woman by surprise, but he could care less. He was an eccentric man that had lived for so long, he did not care about others' judgement. "Salve domina pulcherrima, velim facias voluptatis notitiam, (Hello beautiful lady, it is my pleasure to make your acquaintance)" Viator spoke to Kitty in Latin. He waited for a response, or reaction as he started to cut his steak into perfect little cubes before beginning his meal.

Kitty blinked, the man had randomly joined her at her table without so much as one word and when he did speak, it was latin. She hesitate a moment, being such a book worm, she knew latin as well, though how he would guess such was unknown. Quickly, she fished for the words and spoke them as easily as he.
"A iucunditas facio vestri pariter sir , quod gratias ago vos pro compliment. (A pleasure to make yours as well sir, and thank you for the compliment.)" Kitty smiled and watched him cut his meat into perfect cubes. Something was strange about him, like those eyes had seen much more than Kitty could have guessed. He was friendly enough though, and Kitty wasn't about to complain for such company. It was amazing for someone to strike up a conversation in latin of all languages. She took a bite of shrimp and savored the garlic dressing lathered on it.

Viator smiled when he got a response in Latin. Wow, that was not what he was expecting from the young lady. The only reason Viator knew Latin was because he actually learned the language in its prime. Which was thousands of years ago. "You speak very fluently for such a young girl," Viator commented. The male used his fork to stab a shrimp, and then a steak. He ate the combo of two of the most delicious meat and felt the seasoning, and spices enter the tastebuds in his mouth. Drinking from his cup, he wiped his mouth with a napkin. "Mihi nomen est Viator, (My name is Viator)" Viator spoke his last sentence in Latin.
"Long time ago, there was a man named Julius Caesar, one of the greatest, or worst, dictators known in the Roman Empire," Viator started speaking. "That man loved slaughtering cows, and cooking it. Steak was one of his favorite food, he was the man who first introduced me to eating beef," Viator told the young woman. Either Viator was a compulsive liar, or he was a very unique man. Viator knew the girl was a mutant so didn't have a problem speaking about such things. "Ever since Caesar's introduction of steak, I've loved it," Viator said with a smile. He was simply making small talk at first.

"Mihi nomen est Kitty.(My name is Kitty)" she replied eagerly, taking another bite with a smile and wiping of her own lips before replacing the napkin back to her leg where Lockheed slipped out his tongue from the flap of her bag to lick the remnants of shrimp away.
Now, as Kitty listened intently, she began to have to focus a little more to understand her new acquaintance. He spoke very eloquently and the way his posture presented him portrayed that of a man of great teachings and dignity. His word choice was important she felt, the way he said things was almost like a clue?
It sounded as if he were very, very old and having met Ceasar himself. But that was impossible...unless he was a mutant. And even then, he'd have to be what? Immortal?
"Well," she continued, taking another bite. "I may be young but I've studied quite a lot." She paused and watched him with her chocolate eyes. He had to be a mutant, it just made sense to her. "Ceasar was a powerful man, what was it like to be in such company?" She took a sip of her drink and watched for any signs she could learn from. Kitty had to be on her toes, she wasn't stupid and she was mutant, this meant a lot if someone was planning to trap her.

Viator actually had this urge to not read the woman's thoughts. He felt a need to keep things on the more real side, and with his powers he could easily cheat through most of life's struggles with relationship. Viator watched her eat, and as he ate, he enjoyed this company. "That's good to hear Kitty, more people should study like you do," he said, with a smile wiping the excess food from his lips. Viator acknowledged the girl's want for knowledge and how she asked him about Caesar.
"Caesar... lets say, aside from all the teachings from books, as a person was a great man. As a leader, he was like any other human being, he had his pros and cons. He always had a thing for flashy, and spontaneous events, though I never stuck around Rome long enough to see the Senate's betrayal, who knows how he was like before his assassination. People change throughout years in power. Corruption and greed is an inevitable factor when you taste a little bit of power; thoough I'm not saying all leaders are like that," Viator said, he seemed to have vast knowledge, and wisdom. "But enough about Caesar, he's in the past, lets talk about now... tell me Kitty," Viator said, as he paused to take another bite. "About yourself, I would like to know about the life of a beautiful, gifted girl in the 21st Century," he finished, as he started to indulge in his food again.

Kitty found herself entranced with Viator's knowledge. It was amazing to hear such an insider's opinion that she nearly lost the shrimp on her fork. She swallowed her piece and gulped with the sudden spotlight on her. How much did she really know of this man? Nothing but a name and even that wasn't for sure. But he'd made the emphasis on 'gifted' and that made Kitty think something more of him. Maybe he could feel out if she was a mutant or not. Or maybe this was a trap.
But Kitty hadn't felt any alarm with this man, she felt no trace of harm that he would pose. Yet again, was that one of his abilities? To press upon others what he wanted them to feel? That he was safe?
It wouldn't matter now, if trouble came, she was very sure in her ability to get herself out of there and far away. They weren't too far from the mansion and her cell phone sat in her bag just in case. If she called, Logan would come running to her rescue, she was sure of it. And nobody messed with Logan when he looked after one of the students.
She smiled pleasantly and shrugged, "Well, that depends, Viator. There's not much to me. I attend Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters and I am a striving part of the school." By that she meant, yeah, I'm a mutant and I'm trying hard to be an X-Man. "I grew up in Deerfield, Illinois and moved to New York just a few years ago upon finding the school. It's a wonderful establishment, really. Though, I can see why so many are after such a place to be shut down."

Viator silently kept eating, as he finished most of his shrimp by now. He listened to her as she talked. He noticed the slight hesitation in her voice as he asked about her. Viator was a very direct person, and didn't really like beating around the bushes. He nodded as he finished his drink and motioned for the waitor to bring some more. It was done very quickly, as he listened to Kitty. "Hmm, I see, so you are one of Xavier's students," he said with a smile. That was a good thing, because Viator knew Xavier was a caring guy and he only had the best interest in his students.
Viator wanted to know more about this girl, he wanted to find out what made her happy, and what made her sad. The beautiful qualities, as well as the human qualities. Viator looked at people's pros and cons as what made them unique and a desirable person. The mutant had not experience any type of love, or desire for another, for a long time. This feeling he felt could be not pushed aside, because he knew if either he succeeded or failed, it was worth a try. "Kitty, what is your favorite hobby?" Viator asked innocently, he wanted to take her out after this, hopefully she would accept. But he wouldn't make that offer until they finished their meal.

She blinked, halfway through her shrimp. His eyes spoke to her, he actually cared what she said, probably hung on every word she spoke. He wasn't making small talk, he was eager to learn more about her.
"Well, I, I like to dance and I'm kind of a tech geek. I can fix any computer problem known to man and I really love to ice skate. And I love to read, I like to collect books and stash them on my shelves." She offered a smile and ate another shrimp. Kitty wasn't used to so much attention toward her. The only one who'd ever shown her any was her current boyfriend, Bobby Drake. But even then, there was a difference in the way Bobby listened to her and how Viator listened. Bobby cared, but it seemed like Viator's entire world froze to listen to her.
"What about you?" She gestured to him with her fork, smiling. "What do you like to do when you're not hanging out with famous figures in history?"

Viator listened to her hobbies, they were various kinds and none of them really correlated. The male finished the rest of his steak, wiped his mouth with a napkin and placed it on his plate. It signaled he was finished with his meal. He drank the rest of his drink, before he started to speak, "Ahh books, they are the worlds source for history's information, sadly there are many books that have been destroyed. I see that education is important for you, I think that is a quality every female should have," Viator responded with a smile.
It was then the female asked about him, he raised one eyebrow in curiosity. He really didn't know what he did for fun. Viator did about anything he could in the world, simply to explore and travel. "I guess my main hobby would be traveling, I love to travel around places on Earth. Other than that, I just like to keep myself busy. Having so much time on your hands, you learn to fill them up with random tasks, you find out that people are the only thing that one can truly rely on. You figure out that materialistic things are good in the moment, but in the end, you forget about all those. Those are simple short-term memories that will pass you by, people are the ones that become imbedded in your long term memory and you remember them. Even after hundreds of years," Viator said, as he stared into the beautiful brown eyes of Kitty.
Viator was almost stuck in the very spot he was at. He couldn't move, he couldn't see anyone else. It was as if they were sitting in front of each other in a white limbo and the only thing they had were each other. To talk to each other, and give company to one another. "Would you like to go for a walk? Maybe we can find something intriguing to do?" Viator suggested as she was finishing up. He took out his wallet and opened the black leather wallet that had a 'V' imbedded in a shiny, silver in the front flap. He took out some bills and put it on the table, knowing it would cover both their meals and the tip.

Kitty blinked, having finished her meal, he'd lain enough on the table to pay for more than his share. But, before she could protest, he was already up, offering their next event. She smiled nervously and grabbed up her bags, throwing her shoulder bag across her chest and heard Lockheed's unhappy grunt when the bag smacked against her hip. "Sure," She agreed, following Viator hastily. "What did you have in mind? I haven't frequented this strip often so I'm not entirely sure what all is here." She slipped out her small, silver phone and texted Logan a 'just in case' text. Logan, going through the mall area with a man named "Viator" I'll check in when I'm heading home. Not sure who he really is... Kitty wasn't stupid, if this man meant her any harm and was leading her to a trap- she had a plan and ready backup.

"Do you need help with those bags?" Viator kindly suggested, as they started to walk out of the restraunt. While they exited the restraunt, his taller frame allowed him to sneak a peek at what she was texting on her phone. Sure, he could've easily simply read her mind as she was doing it, but it was human instincts that made him use his eyes. He read what it said, and quickly looked as if nothing had happened. "Hm, wonder who this Logan guy is," Viator thought to himself. He felt as if it was a competition and this guy could possibly be a boyfriend. It was the most instinctive thing, a guy would think when with a girl he was interested in.
Viator opened the door for her, waiting for her to exit first. "Well, you like to dance don't you? There's a ballroom dancing studio like a block or two away, where they teach people how to dance," Viator suggested. The Immortal already knew how to ballroom dance, it was one of the 'hypes' in previous centuries in Europe. He intended to teach her how to ballroom dance, if she didn't know how. It seemed Viator knew how to treat a lady out on a date, even though it wasn't really an official one.

Kitty declined his help with her bags with a smile and stepped outside into the cool, autumn air. New York was bustling with so many people. They crowded the streets, most in business suits and others obviously tourists in ridiculous "I heart NY" shirts. Kitty's clothes were simple, dark blue jeans, a blue t-shirt under her brown jacket. Her hair was pulled up in the usual ponytail, two pillars of chestnut hair framing her face.
She smiled with interest at the idea, tilting her head as she thought. "That would be awesome, actually." Kitty followed Viator's lead, careful to take in every detail she could of the man for any signs that he was only here to trap her. But, he'd so far passed every test, cordial, sweet, listened well, and even paid for the bill. "Thank you for lunch, by the way, I don't know how I can possibly repay you." She looked up at him as he nearly towered next to her small frame.

Viator had a smile on his face as he walked along the busy streets of New York. He liked his new company and she seemed to be a very vibrant girl. He liked that about her. "Oh don't worry about the food, if you're ever hungry just tell me," he informed her. They started to cross the street and the ballroom studio was in view. "Escorting a beautiful girl through New York is enough payment," he said, looking at her and chuckling. Viator stretched his back slightly, since he had an odd bulge that popped up down his spinal area of his suit.
Soon they arrived at the front door of the ballroom studio. It was a large complex, since it took up about a quarter of the block. As they entered the area, the area could be seen lavishly designed. There were many different paintings that decorated the painted walls. Intricately designed coffee tables and chairs littered the front room. Viator approached the lady at the counter, "Can I buy a pair of heels and rent the performance room?" Viator asked, and the lady replied with a simple yes. "What size does your lady friend where?" the middle aged woman asked. Viator simply looked at her to answer in his place.
Once everything was situated and Viator paid the woman in advance, the mutant led his new acquaintance to one of the hallways. At the end was a large double door, he opened it and took in the vast space. The building looked a lot smaller from the outside. Once they entered, Viator noticed the designed floor that looked like it was shining. It seemed it was cleaned using pine sol, for the smell of it was faint in the air. There were many chandeliers on the high ceiling, with the middle one being the largest. The middle chandelier was huge almost three times the size of the others. The jewels that were used to make the chandeliers created a spectrum of different colors. It was a beautiful scene and there it was only for them.
Viator took off his white pin-striped, black jacket and set it down on one of the benches on the side of the walls. Even the benches were made of very detailed wood. He took out a black cane that was tucked behind him, and set it down also. "Here put your stuff down, and put on these heels, you're not really dressed up to be dancing. But your glamor makes up for it by far," he said, with a smile as he set the pair of heels on the floor in front of the bench. "By the way, do you know how to ballroom dance?" he asked, wondering if he had to teach her.

Kitty was bedazzled. Everything here was so ornate and detailed and so far out of the realm of what she was used to. He'd bought her shoes, for that she'd promised to repay him for. He was giving her such sweet compliments and looked to be proud standing with her. It made Kitty feel uniquely special. She could only smile wider at every glimmering detail of the room and how it came to life for them.
She sat at the bench and slipped off her converse for the high heels, something she wasn't at all used to. As she put them on, a pair of dark blue that had little swirls of some sort of flower in a darker blue- she looked up at Viator. Of course, it only hit her now that she had no idea whatsoever how to really dance. She was a club girl, ballroom dancing was something she'd only dreamed of. Although, she had done some ballet long ago that stuck with her still, it was nothing close to ballroom dancing.
"I've only done some ballet, I have no idea what I'm doing here." She gave a nervous laugh and stood, the heels only do a fraction against Viator's height.
