For years since the time of Revan the Sith have quieted down and laid in deep space. Laid so far in that for years no one knew the whereabouts of both Revan and the Exile. There was an ever lasting peace that lasted well over three hundred years. And with in those years the Galactic Republic rebuild itself. But not only did the Republic rebuild itself, so did the Jedi Order. For without the Jedi purge that the Sith executing, they build up there numbers again, becoming again the protectors and police force for the Republic. As the Jedi rebuild they further helped republic expanding in diplomatic solutions to increase there numbers. Back to the Sith, the Galactic Republic believed the Sith and there Dark Jedi was eradicated. But unknown to them the Sith were not eradicated, but waiting in the deepest part of the galaxy. And as they waited they planed and build, waiting for the right time to attack. For three hundred years they did just so watching the republic from a far gathering information for there attack.
And finally it was the time, the time to attack the Republic in one fall swoop to show that the Republic wasn't the great super power in the galaxy. There target, the capital of the Galactic Republic, Coruscant. As the Sith invaded Coruscant, they ransacked it, destroying the senators building and most importantly the Jedi temple there. They proved what they wanted, which was that they weren't as prepared for an attack as they once knew. Along with that the Republic strength doesn't match there very own. As the war continued they also invaded Alderaan one of the huge supporters of the Galactic Republic. They where driven back, but the Republics forces where spread thin for they were getting shot out of space. The Republic need time to catch a breath, so the treaty of Coruscant was made for a cease fire. And it worked for the time being, the Republic caught there breath and gathered there forces. Some time later however the treaty was broken though no one knows who threw the first shot and broke it.
But at the end of the day the treaty was broken and the war went onwards once more. The good news however was that the Republic had enough time to catch there breath and push the Sith back. But not to far and for long, for soon enough the Sith started coming back. And where defeating the Republic left to right causing some of the species with in the Republic to leave and become independent and neutral. And soon enough the warrior people the Mandalorians of Mandalore got into the fight gaining a new Mandalore to lead them. They of course sided with the Sith for a short time, and made blockades around major shipping planets with supplies for the Republic armies. The Republic retaliated against this new foe and pushed them back to Mandalore with the help of smugglers.
Now we are at the present day, the Republic on the edge of there seats wondering when they will get a break and win a battle. While the Sith are sitting on there high chairs observing and watching. Taking in the battles and making sure they win the outcome of this war. The Great Galactic War has started already and has been waiting for you to help tip the tide for either side. Which side will you fight on today, or Tomorrow? Make your choice and decided the fate of this galaxy so far away.
