The first day had been tough, and though Seán had to admit that it was partly his fault, he had greatly underestimated the students at this school. Yes, they were as annoying as the ones back home, but now they had the cocky addition of superpowers which they liked to show off at any moment possible.
Day Two: Establish Reputation.
Seán found a boy whose mutant skills did practically nothing. He wa san excellent botanist who could cultivate plants, at least that's what he got from a conversation. The boy was small and lanky with strange jerky movements as though he himself had been spawned from plants and was still getting used to his human form. But this made things all the better for Seán, who found out that he could indeed punch with his left hand. His right hand had been damaged in an incident involving a werewolf student the day before and was now wrapped in several homemade blood-stained bandages.
His left fist connected with the skinny plant boy's face, and blood gushed from the kid's nose. Seán drew back his fist again and gave the boy another punch. Tears streamed from the kid's face; it was clear that, despite his appearance, he had never been picked on before. First time for everything! Plant boy looked up and down the empty hallway outside of the dorms as though the wood-panelled corridors would open and reveal a secret weapon which would help him escape. But Seán wasn't going to let it go that easily. He tightened his grip on the kid's collar with his injured right hand and shoved the kid's back into the wall.
"Please stop!" the kid moaned. Already his eye was swelling up.
"Shouldn't have tried to kill me with that plant," Seán snapped.
"It was an accident!" the kid squeaked.
Seán shoved him against the wall again so the back of his head smacked the panels.
