Gambit pulled up to the mansion in his motorcycle. It had bean a few weeks since the last time he had visited. He was hoping to challenge his favorite sparring partner Logan. Getting off his motorcycle he headed up the stairs knowing Logan would probably be the first one to know he was there by his scent. Not bothering to knock he stepped in and looked around. He spotted several students running around getting to class before the bell rang. He slowly headed for the danger room and lit a cigarette. With out prof. X to yell at him he had no reason not to smoke in here.
Reaching the danger room he leaned against the wall and waited for Logan to show up knowing he would sooner or later. He just had to wait.

Logan had just come from testing some problems out in the danger room and was now in the front hall. A strange and yet familiar scent attacked his nostrils and he tried to determine as to its origin. The Person was smoking a fine cuban cigar and was wearing a dusty coat of some kind. Rubbing a towel across his sweat covered brow he found the man leaning up against a wall, no where near the danger room as he saw him. "Hey bub, you lost?"
Logan felt strange, like, he should know this person or somehow. In fact, it was just like his meeting with Deadpool in the bar. The guy had yacked on and on about the two of them having known each other, when in fact, he had no recollection of the guy. The very posture and way he looked about seemed he was the one he was looking for. Logan took a stance of casual respect from the other side of the hall looking back over at him.
(In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Logan was shot by an Adamantium bullet by Stryker that stripped his memory of knowing of anything from his past. So, Logan has no idea who Gambit is, or of their time in the movie.)

Hearing footsteps coming towards him he knew who it would be before he looked up. "Well if it isn't my old pal Logan. "Hows life bean treating yea?" Taking another puff from his Cuban cigar and smiled. "You haven't changed one bit since the last time i saw yea." It was true he had only recently joined the X-men but by the look Logan didn't remember Gambit at all.
Thinking back to the last day he had seen him he remembered that Logan didn't even know who he was. He wondered if he learned anything more about himself since that day all those years ago. "Any more luck with your memory problem Logan or still stuck in neutral?"

Logan stared at the stranger and felt like pressing his claws up against his jugular. Where did this guy come off saying his name? The guy was a recent addition to the X-Men rank and said he knew him from the report that the Professor went over. There was still a part of his past that was hidden in grey, and, that past was often dug up by meetings with people at times. Deadpool had actually did a good amount of filling him in on a past before he actually joined the X-Men.
Logan laughed and shrugged his shoulders. "Hard to really take what people hand out to me these days. I met a guy by the name of Deadpool in a bar, said he knew me, just like your saying now. The guy could yack and yack, but, after a while I gave in and asked him to tell me about stuff from meetings to departure. What made you want to come here?"

Taking another puff of his cigar he took his time to reply to Logan. Finely letting out a long exhale he smiled. "Deadpool huh don't believe I know him. At least the name sure don't sound familiar. But there are probably several people out there that know you. You just don't know them or remember them I should say. After all you did get a couple bullet's in the brain.
After finishing his cigar he slowly put it out before tossing it away. "Hm what brought me here? Well I would have to say you did. I wanted to see if you regained any memory but obviously not. I figured you would at least remember me. After all you dragged me away from a bar where I had a good game going to find William Stryker and Sabertooth. Guess I'm just not that memorable."

Logan scratched his head and frowned as he mentioned bullets. If there had been a bullet, the mark was long gone as he healed fast. Though, a regular bullet would have passed through him and left him with one hell of a headache. Must've been some special bullets, he noted, though, what kind of bullets can cause a guy to forget who he is? Clearly Gambit knew something he didn't, which goes with most people from his supposed and forgotten past. The guy answered his question, though, once again it was about him.
"I am sorry," Logan gestured with his hand, "I wish I could say that our time together really helped me, but, these bullets you mention might be the reason. Do you know, per say, exactly what bullets lodged themselves in my noggin?" It felt so familiar, so within his grasp, but he cold not lay a cold steel blade up against it for the life of him. This Gambit here knew a lot more then he was sharing, and, he wanted to delve deeper into his knowledge of then.

Gambit waited patiently as Logan thought about what he had said to him so far. So far it looks like he might not be getting that practice bout in the danger room with him after all. Which was the main reason he had come. He hadn't even though that Logan might not remember him. Oh well all the more fun for him. "Don't worry about it. You may not be able to remember it but I sure did," he laughed. "Well maybe i know and maybe I don't. I'd have to think it was many years ago dat it happened Logan. It may take me a while to remember. A cocky smile spread across his face.
Rubbing his face gambit wondered if he should tell him out right what the bullet was made of or play a little game and fake he didn't remember for now any way. He knew Logan wouldn't harm him as long as he had knowledge of his past that he couldn't remember.

"Don't be a smart ass Gambit," Logan said, "I can only handle so much before I lose it. You talk of knowing about the past, and, I want to know about it. So, either spill the beans, or I walk and you lose out on any bout with me. I want you to think really hard about the memories you have, and think about a day when you don't remember any of it. If someone one day paraded information before you, wouldn't you be pissed?"
Logan stared hard at the cajun and wondered what decision he would make. He couldn't really rough the information from him, as this was a teaching school. But, people from his past pushing his buttons...it reminded him too much of Sabertooth. And...quite frankly he needed less furry things in his life.

"Ok, ok Gambit only wanted a little fun. De bullets where made of the same stuff as your claws. Stryker knew dat they would not kill you. But he did not want you dead. He only wanted to erase your memory's. You knew to much I think. I don't know what was held in your memory's dat he wanted to erase only dat he would stop at nothing to erase dem. Happy not?" Gambit sighed and grabbed another cigar and lit it. He shook his head Logan hadn't changed one bit since before that battle. he was still as mean as a gator.

"Adamantium bullets...that is what he used on me? That would explain a lot, about how I can't remember a damn thing. The guy put the adamantium in me, and he used a bullet crafted by his own mind to put me out of my mind. I wish I could remember exactly what it was that he was so afraid of me finding out, or for that matter what I knew. Gambit...how did we exactly join forces to begin with?" Logan cast a stare over at the Cajuin and waited to see how the two of them had met. Knowing was far better then being kept out of the loop, as he had already been there and did not like it one bit.

Gambit sighed this had not bean the reason he had come here for. But maybe if he gave him da answers he was searching for the sooner they could have there practice bought. "You came searching for Gambit looking for a place where dae where doing experiments on mutants like us. Gambit had escaped from da place and was da only one who knew how to get dare. I helped Unwillingly at first, but you had a way with da words so I couldn't say no even if Gambit wanted to." gambit stopped having to catch his breath.
After a few minutes he continued telling Logan everything dat he could remember. It had bean many years and some things have gone a bit fuzzy. "After I flew you to the island you jumped from the plain and all hell broke loose. I took off leaving yea to handle it on your own. But something inside of gambit told me to come back and help you. Good thing i did you might of bean toast if I hadn't. After da battle was over you had lost your memory. I found you lying on da ground passed out at first. But you soon woke up. As we where leaving you found a girl dead. Looked like had known her but when i asked you if you did you told Gambit no. After dat we parted our ways." With a sigh gambit finished his story.

Logan held his head as memories began to flood in his brain. There was another guy with him, one with skin as dark as night who apparently he knew well. Telling him to wait outside he had gone into the shady looking place and had found a gambling man, one who could flip cards with extroidanary ability. What had started out as a friendly conversation exploded into a fight, but it ended with him beating the cajun. With his help he had been flown to the island and had jumped out in an attempt to rescue mutants...or was it revenge?
All of what Gambit said were true memories, not false ones, because he could tell when someone was lying to him. Something had happened in that place, but, Gambit didn't know what had happened. A picture came to mind with him standing and suddenly a bullet pierced his head causing him to fall backwards, or was the bullet somewhere else? Ugh, he thought, my mind is not letting me see everything. Then there was the girl, lying there, dead as if she had done something satisfying in her last breath. He had parted ways then and from there other events happened.
"Thanks Gambit," he said with a wry grin, "I think that explains how we know each other now. Alright, we can have this bout now...seeing how I can call you a friend."
