Rachel Summers rounded the corner, following the mental essence that was Charles Xavier. She had never met the man, he was before her time. Truly, she shouldn't have even been here, with the X-men as they were. She didn't belong here, but she had come for one very specific reason.
The world was at stake. Not that it wasn't always in some sort of peril, but this had been ground breaking. Earth-shattering. Time-altering. The Apocalypse was going to destroy the Earth with his upcoming one day. Rachel had transported herself to this time and place to give her aid. Her mastery over the Phoenix Force mingled with her mother's was great key in the war to come and she knew it.
Rachel smiled to herself, her green eyes twinkling and her short, red hair swaying as she stopped just outside the door. She was sure her mind felt just like Jean's. Charles Xavier would not know who she was, only that she was close to the famous Jean Grey. He had never encountered her before, didn't know her mind like he did the rest of his X-men.
She stood and waited outside his wooden double doors. What would the great Charles Xavier feel from her? What would he say?
She had spent years reading up on the X-men and getting to know every one of them by the book and files. But Charles Xavier was like a second father and mentor she had always yearned to have in her life. This was like getting to meet Santa Claus.

In that lazy afternoon , Xavier had been busy to think about the last plan proposed by Ororo. New Mutants were starting to come out from their hiding places and choose their roles in that world, many already came to the institute asking to be new students. Anything made Xavier happier than think of them still alone on the streets and be recluted in new mutant's clans where their future had no happy ending.
Sit behind his desk was thinking about read the reports when something caught his attention. There was a presence behind the office door . For a second believed that was Jean but there was something slightly but substantially different. He didn't believe that wasn't sure of what his powers was saying to his mind, even his senses were so confused . Something in the presence beyond the door seemed to belong to Jean and at the same time to Scott.
His kind and polite voice then said " please, come in " . In spite his bony face was totally relaxed and any particular mood or expression , Xavier was hiding a terrible curiosity to have an explanation for the sensation he was feeling. Held both his hands waiting patiently to see the face behind that door , meanwhile couldn't still believe that something so strange was happening and for a while feared that his powers was betraying him , he was still weak after his recover at the Island.

Rachel smiled to herself and tilted the brass lever of the door handle. She pushed forward, the door swinging out smoothly as she made her entrance. She stopped short at the door frame, finding the Professor to be sitting at his desk. It was how she'd always imagined him, sitting at his desk with that welcoming smile.
Her red lips pulled back to smile genuinely at him. "Hello Professor."
