Courtney made her way over to the seat in front of the desk, Sheena happily climbed down her arm to inspect the new area as Courtney waited to see what the teachers and the professor had to say about her joining. She didn't really want to live in the wild again as she feared for Sheena's well being more than her own, but of she was turned away then she would certainly have to go back out there.
Sheena crawled off her mistress' arm and onto the large, leather seat that her mistress was leaning on. She let out small sniffing noises as she stood on her back legs to inspect the area from atop the chair.

The office door closed, but no hand had pushed it to do so. Yet, a tall , blue-eyes man was just come inside from the other side of the room, appearing from behind one of the huge libraries of the study, welcoming the new entries with a friendly smile "what a pleasure to see you here, both of you " emphasizing the last word with great kindness. A crowd of thoughts was in the new arrival's mind but Charles had lost count of all the times that such kind of situations was happened already thousand times in his life.
"You had chance to take a look around? Hope you like the place and forgive my boldness, I'm sure you will" sitting behind his desk showing no arrogance in what had just said but simple kindness. Not losing the sight of the young mutant sit before his desk "Courtney Johnston, right?" He asked even though he knew that the girl hadn't yet introduced herself and he had any documentation about her in his hands. It was amazing how the mutation was perceived by his powers, was interesting and was pretty sure that her class belonged to shapescifters. |

"Y-yes sir, that is my name." Courtney said quietly, keeping her head down as Sheena crawled across the Professor's Desk to sniff at this stranger who had mysteriously appeared, as if from thin air. "I haven't had the pleasure of looking around the mansion, but I have had the pleasure of meeting one of your students, Kitty," she continued, "she seems very nice and friendly, I think she'd be willing to give me a tour of the mansion. Or maybe another student." Courtney said, her head still low.
Sheena rose up on her hind legs at the edge of the desk, looking up at the man with her black eyes, her nose twitching as she took in his scent.

Charles kept to show his friendly smile "Why so shy?" his laughter usually low at the point to be even imperceptible at times just echoed in the room "While you're here you will learn that show what you are is what will allow you to accept yourself in every situation, I am confident that you will learn soon, but meanwhile there is no need to be so nervous before an old professor, believe me"his sympathetic and reassuring smile appeared shortly after but the creature who was with her captured his with his attention shortly after .
"Ah yes, Katherine. Of course" and nodded back to look at her. Relaxed the back on the comfortable chair to join the tips of his hands on each other apparently thoughtful. Despite could be like an infiltrate in her thoughts in order to understand the reason for this shyness , Charles , preferred to get in other and methodica waysl obviously less invasive, was aware that be spied was really annoying. "I could as well , a walk wouldn't be so bad for these old bones but we can call her if you like, I'm sure she will gladly accept."
Charles looked again at the curious animal jumped on her lap "it seems very fond towards you" he said.

"I-I've just always been shy sir... I used to get bullied a lot before my mutation so it's just sort of stuck the shyness." Courtney mumbled softly as Sheena jumped on her lap, she felt a small smile come to her face when the professor said that Sheena was very fond of her. "Yes she is, she was my pet before my mutation took place. I got her from a pet store not far from where I lived, she'd only been taken from her mother that day and I just couldn't leave her behind when I left." She finally raised her head to look the professor in the eye as Sheena crawled back up onto her shoulder.
"I don't mind if you or Kitty show me around, I guess you would know a lot more about this place than her, since you own it." Courtney said with a smile.

Charles kept to show his kind smile even if perfectly understood her past, had spent most of his age on a wheel chair as paraplegic and had to bear unpleasant situations as well. " This place is far from what you had met or known in your past. Soon, I'm confident you will learn that shame and shyness are different as so similar but it's up to you choose when put end to both " his old face was still quite attractive and his smile showed no cruelty as no lie in what his words meant.
" I see " he nodded keeping to look at the fond animal jumped on her shoulder " any problem to keep her there , I'm glad she's with you " was sincere , start new friendships wasn't so easy at the begin and Xavier was quite sure that Sheena was going to be a good start for gain new ones.
Left his seat even with joy, a walk was what he needed as well " Well, what we are waiting for ? " kindly asked showing her the way for the door . The last time he showed the place to new students was on a wheel chair, probably this was the first time he did on his legs " Want we start with the classrooms ? Probably you will meet your teachers there " |

"All right sir, let's go to the classrooms." Courtney said, standing up from her seat and following the professor, her head slightly higher than it was when she first entered the mansion. Sheena stood on her back legs, her little nose twitching as she took in all the new scents and sounds.
Courtney thought that she might fell a little more comfortable as a wolf, but decided against it as she knew that she would have to come out of her comfort zone eventually, and besides, she wanted to make a good impression on the teachers.

"Perfect " Xavier said and showed her the way for the classrooms. The front hall was crowded as everyday but the professor walked beside Courtney greeting some students with polite nods then stopped before a wooden door " well, miss Johnston there is someone I want introduce you " said smiling and opened the doors on a huge classroom actually filled for half of students .
" May I present you professor Shephard ? , well when he was young like you was terribly frightened and intimidated by his same power " kindly toucing her shoulder for walk with her toward the smiling blond professor while students greeted smiling with curiosity. " James, could you show what you're able to do ? . James Shephard is a shapeshifter miss Johnston and actually teach to youngs like you how to control this power and even live with. Well I suppose I introduced your first professor the next one had been one of my first students and had been headmistress of this place while I was away" looking at her " thank you James. Ready to go miss Johnston ? ." |

James turned to look at the door where Professor Xavier and a young girl had just crossed . " good morning , professor . Good morning to you " the handsome professor smiled and asked to his class to wait in silence while they looked at them talk.
Observed them while the professor introduced him before the young girl and James smiled as answer until asked him to show his mutation . James had been aware of the young girl's power since had crossed his class door and already aware of what the professor wanted mean with his request his shape changed until Shephard became a huge black panther before their eyes and roared a bit showing his beautiful now yellow eyes.
Once the girl had observed his mutation he easily back to his human shape " you're welcome professor and I hope to have you with us very soon miss. Had been a pleasure "

Courtney watched with a small look of shock on her face as the blonde professor changed into a panther, she couldn't wait to have a class with him. "Pleasure to meet you sir." She said quietly, Sheena let out a small squeak of shock when the man transformed into the big cat, she hid in Courtney's hair in fear she may be eaten.
Courtney let out a small giggle at Sheena hiding, she bowed down slightly just before she turned to Professor Xavier. "Yes sir, I am ready to meet my next teacher." She said with a smile, she had a feeling she was going to like it here.

James's demonstration had been excellent and Charles hoped to have given a start of self-confidence in the young but knew that had still so much to do and she still so much to learn.
The Professor walked beside her showing the way for another classroom , sometimes reading threads of her thoughts and waiting for her next reaction " I hope you will be less worried now , everybody here has learn how don't fear themselves and their powers but live together as a single thing . You will learn how don't fear your power miss Johnston, as I said I'm quite confident you will "
He kept to walk beside her showing the way . " Professor Shephard has been one of my first students but the next one I'm going to introduce has been as well " . Well, he thought, his first one has been Jane but far were that days... |

"I hope I can Professor, it's not really my powers that I'm afraid of it's just... well... people." Courtney said, following the Professor as Sheena crawled onto her head and sat there, cleaning herself as they walked.

" People ? " Professor asked frowning apparently surprised " Why you should be afraid of people ? " his answered sounded so simple to seem absurd but then the Professor add wisely " People's opinion musn't be important than yours about yourself , once learned to trust in yourself you will see that even people's opinion about you will strangely improve . Just because it's in your mind miss Johnston " he showed her the way for the door of an elegant study and waited she was the first to open the door " Be confident with her , she was like you but the woman you will meet inside this room can teach you how face your fear of people's judgement". |
