Kiden held her breath as she stepped into the Entrance Hall, shutting the front door tightly behind her. She had only taken a few steps inside the school and already she felt strange. It had been nearly two years since she was in a school, though this one was clearly much different than her old inner-city high school. She didn't see any lockers, no vending machines, and no students. "Seems I came at a bad time," she mumbled lightly to herself as she dropped her duffel bag at her feet, the only luggage that she had. Everything she owned was inside and it obviously wasn't much. Blue eyes darted to a clock on the wall and she let out a soft groan. It was lunch time, a clear reason that there were no students around to greet her and tell her where to go next.
The thought of lunch made her near empty stomach rumble. Breakfast had been made up of one muffin that she stole from a bakery before making her way out to the school. At this point, she would have given anything to have a proper meal, as she was unable to recall when such a meal had last filled her stomach. Dainty hands played with the candy pacifier necklace that hung around her necklace while the other slipped down into the pocket of her oversized and slightly dirty pants, pulling out a folded piece of paper. While taking it out of her pocket, Kiden popped the pacifier into her mouth as she unfolded the paper and eyed her dorm number and class list. Making a mental note of both, she shoved the piece of paper back into her pocket and tucked her hands deep inside them.
It was awkward as she stood there in the middle of the entrance hall sucking on a pacifier and looking around like a lost child. Eager to get rid of the awkward feeling, Kiden pushed her grungy duffel bag a few meters in front of her with her foot, following soon after as she took a seat next to it, waiting for someone to show up to help her out a bit.

Pink lips parted to let out a pitiful sigh, baby blue eyes closing as she sagged a bit. Ever since they moved into this stupid school things had been absolutely, mind numbingly, and indescribably boring. These mutant goody-goody’s really knew how to drag a person down with their talk of equality and peace. Now, Bliss was all for equality, but at the same time she did not believe everyone was equal—the world just did not work like, and these kids were so brainwashed by that human-loving Xavier that they refused to listen to any other ideals. As for peace…it just did not exist. People had been fighting for centuries, and they would always be fighting. Stupidity ran rampant through the world, and she saw little hope. The blonde hoped that maybe, just maybe, by eradicating the humans and starting over (in a sense), the world could be a better place, it could evolve and blossom.
If not, she saw it more as a “get ride of them before they get ride of me” thing. With how much negativity was focused on them, and how they were already willing to kill mutants…well, they needed to retaliate. People had different reactions to oppression—some went into survival mode, they just waited it out and tried to be strong throughout it, while others tried to make peace and understand the enemy. Bliss was neither of those types, she was a fighter, and even if that meant she died in the process, she would make damn sure to bring down as many of them as possible. They did not show them mercy, so she was not about to have her heart softened by some bonehead students who tried to make the humans seem anything less than disgusting.
So engrossed in her infuriating thoughts, the female was not paying any particular attention to where she was heading, though as she stumbled into the front hall her mind began to wander, thinking about hightailing it out of this dump. Maybe she could steal a car?
Eyes flittered across the room for a moment, doing a sudden double take as she spotted a fellow blonde sitting in the middle of the floor, looking like she was in dire need of a shower and some new clothes. She glanced down at her own attire briefly, the white halter top clinging to her skin and showing off her stomach, her skirt being just as revealing, platinum blonde hair done up into pigtails, and her knee high Converse seemed to set off the look. Still, most other girls looked at her with horror—after all, how dare she show skin, right? Mentally, she rolled her eyes.
“What are you doing, waiting for the bus?” her tone was humorous, head cocking to the side slightly. She must have been a new arrival. “Seriously, though, it looks like the welcoming committee is off saving the world,” there was apparent sarcasm in her voice. “so, I suppose I can be a good and upstanding citizen just this once.” She took a few more steps toward the other, extending her hand. “I’m Bliss, welcome to this dump.”

Kiden took her time on the floor to once again soak in the school. She had never been in a place that grand before, at least when she wasn't in 'No-Time'. More than once, she had snuck into mansions of the rich and famous with her power but to actually be in a place so elegant without breaking any rules was strange. Pursing her slightly chapped lips, she popped the pacifier out of her mouth and glanced down at the polished floor, looking into her reflection. She looked like shit, there was no getting around that. Eyeliner from the day before was smudged along her lower lashes while her hair was sticking up every way possible. She was use to living such a life. One did not have the luxury of daily showers when you lived on the streets and went dumpster diving every day.
A little put off by her own reflection, she moved her shoe over it and moved it around, the dirt and grunge making the area less than polished like it had been moments before. But when someone spoke, Kiden was caught off guard. What are you doing, waiting for the bus? Her head instantly shot up from the floor, blue eyes locking on the girl. She was not at all taken back by her clothing, or lack there of. Growing up on the streets, she had been around prostitutes that flaunted their goods to those that passed by, hoping to catch a customer and make a good bit of cash each night. No, this was nothing new for Kiden, though the girl was certainly more put together than those women had been.
Kiden's lips twitched into a slight smile as the girl spoke again, extending her hand with a proper introduction. She couldn't help but to wonder if that was a real name or a cover but she resisted the urge to ask. Quickly, she met Bliss' hand with her own and moved to her feet. "Kiden," she replied without hesitation, giving a light handshake before dropping her hands at her side. "And trust me, I've lived in dumps. This is a palace compared to those," she added quickly, a soft chuckle falling from her lips as she glanced to the large staircase. "Smells better too..." She mumbled under her breath, absentmindedly making a subtle move to check her own body odor. She really did need a shower.

Kiden? Well, that was an unusual name, though Bliss was not horribly common either. Before she could manage any deep musings about either of their names, the other girl spoke again, commending this place. Well, from the looks of her, her past accommendations had not exactly been sanitary—either that or she had an aversion to soap and water, but Bliss was prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt, especially seeing as she had just consciously sniffed at herself (the little action had been caught by her scrutinizing eyes), giving the blonde reason to believe she was not terribly happy with her odor situation, either.
“I guess you’re right,” she replied, shrugging softly, still trying to feel the other out. While she was not fond of those that followed Xavier, there would always be a few diamonds in the rough, and so far this girl had done nothing to make her believe she needed to be hostile toward her. “I guess it is not the place itself that bothers me, just the people,” she continued, not caring that that statement would either give way to the fact she was not a student (you’d think her clothing would be enough, but this girl was new, so she did not know the rules around here—if one of Xavier’s brats wore this…well, they’d probably gain her respect), or not a very grateful student.
“Well, anyway, are you waiting for someone? If you need me too, I guess I can show you around. Don’t know the place very well, but probably just enough to at least get you to the kitchen or your room.” The girl also looked like she could use a warm meal, or maybe it was just the baggy clothes? She looked like skin and bones, not that Bliss was necessarily a healthy weight, but she assumed she was shorter than the other female, though it was hard to judge that while she was sitting down.

Kiden raised a brow as Bliss mentioned the people at Xavier's and instantly, her stomach gave a bit of a lurch. She had been a bit worried about how people behaved at the school though she had heard good things about it. Still, the words from Bliss were a little unsettling. "Yeah? Are they that bad?" she questioned curiously, the tips of her fingers toying with the candy necklace that hung around her slender neck. She already knew that if the students were poor company, she'd probably be back on the streets soon enough. At least there, she fit in without any questions. She paused for a moment, letting her blue eyes look over Bliss' choice of wardrobe and she had to ask. "...Dress code isn't strictly enforced here, is it?" she questioned in a playful manner, the corners of her mouth pulling up into a slight smile. She could just imagine all the prepubecent boys following Bliss around just to try and get a glance up her skirt.
At the next question, Kiden sighed a bit. She really didn't know what she was doing other than standing in the entrance hall like an outcast. She assumed that she was probably suppose to find a professor to help her out but she wasn't about to go running around the quiet school looking for one. And that was why she waited and was quite thankful that Bliss had found her before she did resort to running around the school. The mention of the kitchen did spark her interest though and her stomach gave a loud rumble. "Mmm...a kitchen sounds really, really good right about now," she replied, dropping one of her hands to rub her empty stomach. Bliss was truly a God-send in this moment. She was going to direct her to food and her room. She already knew after she got her meager items unpacked that she would shower as soon as possible. Now on her feet, Kiden slipped her jacket from her thin frame and tied it around her tiny waist before reaching down to grab her bag up. "Lead to way," she motioned in both directions with her hand, eager to begin stuffing her face and get herself a nice long shower.

“I suppose it depends on what you consider ‘bad’,” she replied with a dismissive shrug, not really able to answer the question fully. For her, they were like a nightmare, but perhaps this other girl would fit in with them? Only time would tell, after all it was not like Bliss was all smiles and giggles toward them, either. In fact, the blonde was not necessarily what one would call a “people person”. She could tolerate a select few, and the rest just needed to keep their distance. “I just don’t really see eye-to-eye with the students, if you know what I mean.” Not to mention a good chunk of them were young children, so innocent and naïve—it was not even fun to mess with them, it was just pathetic how gullible they were.
Her eyes flittered back over the girl when she questioned about the dress code, a large, toothy grin spreading across her maw. “No idea,” she purred, rather enthusiastically. “I’m not part of the student body, so their rules don’t apply to me—I’m a…guest, if you will, though not a very welcome guest by most,” she mused, knowing a lot of the older students were not pleased with her being around…mostly the girls, come to think of it. More than once she had heard the word “slut” muttered behind her back. And she thought Xavier was teaching them tolerance? Shame, shame.
Kiden had perked at the mention of food, her stomach growling loudly. Reminded Bliss of when she lived on the streets (which really was not all that long ago, but still, it seemed like ages at the same time), stealing to survive, or swindling people out of money, even resorting to violence sometimes…hey, whatever kept you alive, right? Bliss watched as the other female got ready to venture further into the mansion, eyes glancing at her tiny waist for a few moments. No wonder she wanted to go to the kitchen first she inwardly mused, before smiling slightly at the teen.
Without a word, she turned around, leading her through a large hallway in silence—not to be rude, but she had to concentrate, not wanting to get them lost. After a few twists and turns, she finally entered through a double door, behind it revealing a good-sized kitchen. Cabinets decorated the walls, a fridge was tucked in a corner, and it had had everything—an oven, a microwave, a toaster, all kinds of cooking utensils. “So here it is. You can look around and find something to eat, they’re really lax about it,” that was at least one thing she liked about the place. Free food.

Kiden gave a soft nod of her head as Bliss spoke about her interaction with the other students. She wouldn't hold it against her, as she had yet to settle in and meet the other people for herself. For all she knew, the other students could have been complete jerks that deserved to be disliked. "Gotcha," she replied simply as she shifted the bag on her slender shoulder, quite thankful that she actually didn't have to lug around a bunch of bags and suitcases. One was more than enough to fit everything that she needed to bring with her. No idea, I'm not part of the studen body, so their rules don't apply to me-I'm a guest, if you will, though not a very welcome guest by most. Kiden smirked slightly, the outfit and her status now making sense. She had begun to wonder what sort of school would allow students to walk around like that without getting a detention or two.
Her thoughts didn't linger long on the subject of clothing as her stomach tore her attention back to food. She moved quickly after Bliss, blue eyes darting around as the two made their way down a large hallway. No words were exchanged but Kiden didn't mind. It didn't take too long to reach the kitchen and when they passed through the doors, Kiden's face lit up. She beamed at Bliss' words and instantly let her bag drop to the floor, knowing that she had nothing valuable to break in the fall. "I know where I'll be spending my spare time," she mumbled under her breath as she made a beeline to the fridge and tugged it open. The cool air danced over her flesh and the smile remained on her face as she grabbed a soda and a jar of grape jelly. Shutting the door with the toe of her shoe, she sat the items on the counter and began to tug the cabinet doors open until she found a jar of peanut butter. Her craving at the moment was very simple. A good old peanut butter and jelly sandwich. "I love this place already," she mused to herself as she grabbed a loaf of bread as well. As quickly as she could, she whipped herself up a sandwich and took a large bite, oblivious to the fact that jelly had dripped down her already dirty shirt.
"Ugh...I haven't had one of these in forever," she grinned, licking the excess jelly and peanut butter from her lips. She really was one to enjoy the simple things in life, whether they be a sandwich or a warm shower. After a moment or two of stuffing her face, Kiden brought her attention back to Bliss as she leaned against the counter with the sandwich in hand. "So...Are you one of them? I mean...The Brotherhood?" She questioned curiously as she wiggled herself up on top of the counter. She may not have been book smart but she pieced this one together quickly. Though she had lived on the streets for the last two years of her life, she-like everyone else, had heard about the events at Alcatraz only months before. Kiden didn't approve of anything the Brotherhood did but who was she to tell people what to do? Her life was the only one she could control and she wasn't about to tell other how to live their own. Bliss observed the other girl, rather bemused by her sheer enthusiasm, a crooked smile playing across her lips. She had often found herself snooping through the kitchen as well, after all free food was free food, and if they were willing to share it with her, then great…though, she doubted they much appreciated the fact she rarely cleaned up after herself. If she was in a good mood she would, though normally she just left it—in her mind, she was doing them a favor, for it gave the students in detention something to do. It really did boil down to her lack of respect for the majority of the people her, minus Magneto and Pyro, and so far this girl was turning out to be quite interesting. It really was a shame she was joining up with Xavier’s little gang…maybe Bliss could persuade her to join the Brotherhood, or at least throw the offer out there? Of course, she would wait a little bit before even daring to tread those waters. Probably was not a good idea to try and bring something like that up yet, especially since they had just met. No need to step on anybody’s toes, at least not yet.
As Kiden ate her sandwich, the female moved to hop onto one of the counter tops, at least having enough decency to make sure that her skirt was covering her rump before sitting down and making herself comfortable. The smell of peanut butter caused her nose to wrinkle momentarily, having never been a big fan of the stuff, though oddly enough she had no problem with peanuts. It was just something about the texture that through her off, and the way it stuck to her mouth and made her want a drink…
“Hm?” she mumbled distractedly, blue eyes lifting to look at the other blonde as she inquired about whether or not she was with “them”. A small smirk lit up her face, not at all ashamed or alarmed by the question—the other seemed rather calm about the prospect as well, which was strange, but only caused her like to grow. “Yeah, I am. I guess we’re only staying here temporarily…something about this Apocalypse guy or whatever, joining forces and all thought. I think it is bull, but I guess if Magneto wants us to stay, we’ll stay,” she replied with a small shrug, kicking her feet absently, though a thought popped into her head. “Hey…since you’re going to this school, that means you’re a mutant, right? So, wait are your powers, anyway?” Would it be something impressive like superhuman strength? Or would it be one of the more unfortunate powers, like being able to glow in the dark (though, it would still come in handy)?

Kiden savored the sandwich as she sat on top of the counter, reminding herself to eat as much as she possibly could in the days to come to make up for the lack of food on the streets. Bliss seemed slightly distracted but the answer to her question came soon enough. So here she was in the kitchen with a member of the bad guys, not that it really bothered her. Bad guys...Good guys...It was all a matter of opinion and Kiden was one of those that could see both sides of things. Though the Apocalypse bloke Bliss spoke about did caused Kiden to raise a brow slightly. She had heard the name before but she hadn't learned much more than that. It was a con to living on the streets for so long. There was no access to the news to hear about anything new and she hadn't been around many mutants other than Laura and Catiana on the streets and she had lost contact with them not too long ago. "Apocalypse...Yeah, that's definitely someone I'll avoid just by the name alone," she mused with a soft chuckle, taking another bite of the delicious yet simple sandwich that she was enjoying.
But when the question of powers came up, Kiden froze for a moment. She always had a difficult time explaining hers. She didn't exactly stop time...Yet that was what it was like for her. Sucking in a long breath of air, she sat the sandwich down on her thigh and rested her chin on her folded hands. "I guess you could say I control time," she started, unfolding her hands to quickly open the soda that sat next to her. "I can speed up my own time to where everything else pretty much stops." she continued, taking another short moment to take a long drink of the orange soda. "I call it 'No-Time'," she added again with a smile. She thought the name was pretty cool though she wouldn't have settled for anything less than that. It was her little time bubble and she loved it. It deserved a kick ass name to go along with it. "I stayed that way for four months one time...Don't have to eat or anything while I'm in there," she continued as she went back to chowing down on her sandwich.
"Being around people when I'm in it is dangerous though...I could kill someone with just a touch because of the speed I'm going," she added, the smug look on her face fading away as she recalled discovering her powers. A guy ended up with his arm broken just from a simple poke while in No-Time. She felt slightly guilty for that but he did deserve it, being a gang leader and all. She had yet to gain full control over her powers, as the only way she knew how to escape no time was to touch someone. Thankfully, she discovered that kissing someone would bring her out of it and cause no harm to the person. It was awkward but it was better than breaking bones. Waving her hand slightly, she forced a smile to Bliss. "Your turn."

The blonde sat up a little straighter as she began to discuss her abilities, interest immediately perked when she mentioned controlling time, or something close to it, anyway. The more the girl spoke, the wider her grin got—personally, Bliss would not want that power for herself, for she liked to show off, and quite enjoyed her copying abilities, but it definitely would not hurt to have someone like that on their side. It was unfortunate she had looked so regretful when she mentioned breaking the mans arm. Personally, she would probably have a heyday with those powers (even if she would not want them permanently), and a select few students would probably be walking around with a limp…well, she supposed she could do that now, but rendering them incapacitated by a mere touch was just to good to be true, so naturally it would go to a good girl like one of Xavier’s students. It was such a shame.
“Sounds pretty cool to me—though hey, what would you expect from someone who is part of the Brotherhood?” Bliss asked, giving the girl a joking wink as she leaned back a little, hands splaying out over the counter to hold herself up delicately, eyes darting back toward her companion when it was “her turn” to spill the beans about her abilities. It had to been obvious she was a mutant, just by the fact she was with the Brotherhood—it was very apparent humans were not allowed to join.
“Well,” she began, stretching out her legs slightly. “I can mimic any movement I see—sort of. I have to do the movement while watching it, so not very effective when trying to fight someone if I wanted to copy them, but still…” her voice trailed off a bit, actually sounding surprisingly modest…for a second. “Of course, when I say any movement, I mean any movement that I am capable of making, so as long as the person is not a contortionist, I can mimic them. I can even mimic people from movies that are on wires, as long as they are not doing anything superhuman, like jumping seven stories,” she grinned lightly, actually rather proud of her powers, despite some finding it to be “cheating”, almost. It was not like it didn’t take upkeep…
“I also have precise control of every part of my body—meaning I don’t really slip up often and it compliments my “Photographic Reflexes”, which is call my other powers,” she shrugged softly, not knowing a better way to describe it. She was just very aware of her body and it’s movements. Glancing at the ceiling, she decided to keep her “feigning” abilities to herself for now, after all she could ruin a great practical joke if she told about that to soon.
