This thread is open to all Teacher staff.
Xavier sat at his desk as he looked threw the papers lists of names and students. it was time to start moving things along he felt bad that he had to do this. It was this war a threat of some thing that could or could not be. He would be a fool to look the other way and every one would need to play there part.
He had sent a message to all the teachers asking them to come to the office for an important meeting. He had asked Cable Not to turn up it may upset several of the Teachers him bing in the room he was not sure how Scott was reacting to his son.
The school and the students needed to get ready for the worst case scenario he wanted to get the x men back in to shape. He needed to Breath new Life in to his dream and it may be time to do that. He waited for the others to arrive

Emma’s heals clacked noisily against the hard wooden floors of the hallways. She had been busy when Xavier had interrupted her but when someone of his regard holds a meeting you attend, whether you like it or not. She was dressed in her standard attire, all a vibrantly glimmering white with high heel stiletto boots, skin tight pants and a surprisingly revealing white shirt.
She had only been teaching for a very short time so far but in truth few people were able to teach economics more effectively than the woman who had built Frost International into the multibillion dollar company it was today. She was surprised how little of her money had been asked for by the school, she had proven herself more than generous in her donations so far, but then there were now a few wealthy mutants residing here so they could split those costs effectively amongst them.
Emma rounded on Xavier’s door and curled her highly manicured fingernails out the way before tapping on the door. She didn’t wait for a reply, Xavier had called her here and she already knew there was no one else in the room, knocking was a mere courtesy to a more experienced telepath. Emma could hardly help herself, it was childish and unnecessary she knew but as she was the only one here she just couldn’t resist the urge to speak telepathically, ”Good afternoon Charles.” She had been itching to have a proper battle against Xavier’s mind since he arrived back yet hadn’t had the chance, unfortunately she doubted now would be a suitable opportunity either. For once Emma was glad to be the first one in the room, although she knew the others would not be far behind. Leaving the door ever so slightly ajar she walked over to the wooden chairs in front of Xavier’s desk and sat down delicately, crossing her legs and placing her right finger on her temple.

Lorna had been surprised, and fairly ecstatic, when she'd received the summons to Professor Xavier's office along with the rest of the teaching staff. She wasn't one of the instructors although she'd helped out in several of the classes, sort of like a teaching assistant. Hank had to be by far her favorite instructor to assist as he always seemed to make not only her but the entire class laugh. Lorna had her suspicions that he did it to detract from his rather fierce appearance although she had to admit that he was rather delightful just as he was.
They hadn't been back from the rescue of Xavier for very long and she was still slightly confused as to why the entire thing had been set up as it had been. It made very little sense to the young electromagnetic. However, she wasn't going to question it just yet. At least, not at a faculty meeting where she'd been invited.
Entering the room, she greeted, “Hello, Professor, Emma.”
She wasn't too keen on the other woman for a number of reasons but they didn't matter at the moment. Right now, they were here for a meeting and nothing more. Taking a seat a bit away from Emma, she sat down, notebook and pencil in her hands. She wasn't a telepath like the other two in the room and therefore actually took physical notes when important events occurred.

"hello Miss Frost, May i point out it is rude to use your power when others will be unable to hear your thoughts. Hello Lorna it is good to see you well." he had not had much chance to talk to the other since he had gotten back, there had been so much to catch up on. "i Do hope both of you are well?" HE sat down he had hoped more would turn up but it did not look as if they would. He felt shocked and disappointed but hid it well.
"I Assume that you have some questions about last week? Nathan Thought that we needed to shock to get us back in shape and acting like a team. While I agree with the sentiment. I do not agree with his methods especially when a student was hurt." (Amara has asked to be shoot) He was hurting about what had been done.
"Nathan is from the future but he was born here To Scott and some one else. However that is not my story to tell if you want to know more ask Scott or his son." He did hope Scott would turn up he was key in this if Cable was to be believed

“Yes, Emma, it's rather rude,” Jean echoed Charles as she entered the room where they were supposed to be meeting.
She had been a bit surprised that she'd received a summons for this little staff get together. Although she'd been back a few months now, Jean had yet to actively take on a teaching role. She'd been focusing more on helping some of the new students settle in, especially those with issues as well as tracking down some of the newer students. Just the other night she'd brought up a little Asian girl who wanted to fit in so badly that she could practically taste it. Suditi would do quite well there, she was sure.
When Charles brought up Nathan, she frowned slightly. Jean wasn't so sure how she felt about the man, knowing he was Scott's son with someone else. Ironically, she shouldn't have felt one way or another over it given the problems they were having in their marriage but still. Rachel had been enough of a shock. Cable? Jean just didn't know what to think.
Especially since the man appeared to have her power set, just like Rachel did. Was Scott going to forever be drawn to psychokinetics? Was it just his personality that made him so?
Professor is looking for you for the meeting, she sent to her husband telepathically through the psychic link that still existed after all the trauma they'd been through.
Jean sat down near Lorna but not right next to her. She knew the other woman still didn't trust her very much which was sad in a way. Once upon a time, they'd been as close as sisters. She couldn't blame the green haired electromagnetic but it was relationships like these that she was regretting the loss of more then anything. Trust had been broken and it was so hard to fix.

Emma replied quite spitefully to both Charles and Jean, “Might I point out that there was no one else in the room at the time.” She was tempted to add a biting remark to Jean about the responsibilities of power and how mass murder was considered by many less polite than whispering but decided better of it. Instead she merely sat back in her chair and bit her tongue, an unusual thing for Emma but this wasn’t the place for Emma’s pathetic jealousy to crop up. In truth Emma actually respected Jean quite a lot, of course she would never show it but she knew Jean had a surprising strength of character. After all Emma’s past was dark and she struggled with talking to some of the X-men, but her past was but a shadow compared to Jean’s little outburst.
She couldn’t help but raise an eye brow when Cable’s true heritage was revealed. How interesting that Scott would have a child with another woman, and in all odds someone with psychic based powers. Emma would be lying if the thought of herself being Cable’s mother hadn’t crossed her mind but she instantly knew it was false, after all if it were she was convinced she would have been informed as much as Scott had.
It was true Emma did have questions about Cable’s base, she had even more questions about why it was necessary to deceive them like that however she didn’t raise them. Whatever Charles and Cable had chosen to do they must have had their reasons. Emma was more concerned about the means, it all seemed like it was just a series of unnecessary risks to her, but then she was new to the X-men, here training and battle weren’t that far apart.

Lorna merely nodded to Jean when the older woman looked over at her. Yes, she'd been back for a while now but after everything that Jean had done, Lorna just couldn't find it in her to really feel like she even knew her anymore. No one had really said why she was back or how she'd managed to survive Logan's claws and everything that she'd heard had happened. Lorna knew that Jean would be happy to try and explain it all but she just wasn't giving her the opportunity. It was a shattered relationship and she wasn't too keen on fixing it right now.
She also ignored Emma's little outburst. The mere fact that she was a telepath who didn't seem to share Professor Xavier's morals was enough to put her on edge. She knew very little about the woman beyond that, hadn't really been with her during the fight on Cable's island so she hadn't seen how she worked. The only impression she'd got was that Jean didn't much care for her and that was only because the redhead had taken up residence in her mind during the fight.
“He should feel more then contrite,” she muttered under her breath when the Professor said that Cable was remorseful for what happened to Amara. If it was up to her, he'd have to do more then merely apologize to her friend. Lucky for him, it wasn't up to her.
And speaking of Cable...”What?” she asked when Charles said that he was Scott's son. “That makes very little sense.”
Looking at Jean, she asked, “You aren't his mother?”
Damn, what was going on here? She'd been the maid of honor at their wedding and while she wasn't close to Jean any longer, that didn't mean she wanted their marriage to fall apart. She was aware there were issues but the fact they were still married even now meant something, right? It was just another example of how it just seemed best to keep relationships superficial. Healthy? Not at all but likely the best given their line of “work”.

"That is not why i called this meeting Lorna as i had said It is up to Cable or Scott." Xavier knew Scott well enough to know that he would not talk about it. "I called this meeting to arrange training of the X-men and to sort out who will be in which training team. I want every one here opinions and views and Lorna i would also like you to offer you a Full time job."
he kept it short it would take a few minutes for what he had said to kick in. "Lorna i have worked out, that i have lost contact with the students and thats were you come in. You will be the student councilor and go between to the staff."

Jean really paid no attention to Emma past what she'd said when she walked in the room. It wasn't a secret to her how much the woman would love to get her hands on Scott. She could feel it in practically every move that the woman made and while she'd not been unfaithful to her husband, she'd come close when she'd not been in the right part of her mind. Ironically, she'd likely try to add Emma to the list of lives she'd taken should she ever actually try to make a move on him.
Lorna looked at her and asked about Nathan's maternity but before she could reply to the green haired woman, Charles reprimanded her. She felt Lorna's confusion and anger rise and honestly couldn't blame her. He'd brought it up and if he expected them to take a bombshell like that without questions, he really didn't know them very well at all. No, I'm not. We can talk about it later as it seems he wants to just play with us this morning, she sent to Lorna along with a bit of understanding at her anger.
“Scott says he's on his way. He got waylaid by a student who needed his help,” she told the rest of them after speaking with him telepathically.
Then she sat back and listened as Lorna was offered employment. She knew it was what the woman wanted and her need to feel useful would now be sated. She smiled slightly to no one in particular, just hoped that Lorna would finally find some measure of happiness. She'd been a mess emotionally lately and while Jean could haphazard a guess as to why, she wasn't going to pry. Not when she wanted to fix the relationship.

Scott sighed as he made his way down to this ‘meeting’ something that he didn't see the point in, Charles could have just announced his plans in a more public meeting with the whole Xmen, instead he was doing things incredibly hush hush, something that Scott couldn’t understand, this had not been something that had been done before, normally there would have had a full meeting rather than just the teaching staff, however this seemed to be the way that they were doing things so that would be how they did things. Entering the room he walked over and sat by Jean.
“What did I miss?” he said

Emma couldn’t help but feel a little isolated by the rest of the X-men with them all sitting on the other side of the room, but then could she blame them? They had never seen eye to eye in the past, it would take a lot of work to repair things properly between them. She detected Jean’s little traces of psychic activity but didn’t pry, she did however find it comical that Jean was partaking in the exact action Emma herself had just been scolded for. She would have loved to admit she was pleased for Lorna at her job offer but in truth she wasn’t, she simply wasn’t all that phased by it, after all she hadn’t known the woman long. Emma could however honestly confess she was glad the students would have someone to talk to about the problems they had, Emma herself was aware of many of the issues but the students found her too intimidating to approach. Lorna on the other hand seemed perfect for the role, she was firm yet understanding, and with her green hair the students that were uncomfortable with a physical mutation could also confide in her.
She looked up at Scott as he entered answering his question in brief detail before returning to the business at hand. “We were just discussing the training system Scott.” She then directed herself back to the professor. After all Emma was a business woman at heart and she treated this scenario as nothing more but a general meeting, “Well Charles if you’re asking my opinion on the matter it seems logical to divide training staff based on two things, experience in the danger room and power set. It seems common sense to divide the most experienced operators with staff that are less so, that way each group should have an equal opportunity. As for the power set it would be pointless to put myself for instance to teach someone how to fly. I may however offer a service in the ingenuity of using abilities.” After all Emma had already demonstrated herself capable of adapting her own, and others powers, to help in unique situations, it was all a question of creativity.

That wasn't why he'd called the meeting? Then why the hell even bring it up? She was about to call him on that when Jean cautioned her not to. She glanced over at the other woman quickly, irritation written all over her face. Honestly, that had to be one of the most cruel things she'd ever known the man to do. If he was going to drop a bomb like that then he'd at least be prepared for some questions.
However, she kept the irritation bottled up based on Jean's advice. She might not really trust the woman anymore but she really didn't think she'd steer her wrong in this direction. So Lorna kept quiet.
For a moment, at least.
She was starting to wonder just why she was there. The meeting had been for the instructors, not the general X-Men team. She wasn't part of the former but was a part of the latter. At least, she wasn't until he told her that he wanted to offer her a full time job.
Lorna's mouth opened slightly in surprise and she looked at him, wondering if she'd heard him correctly. Especially after he'd gone and scolded her a few moments before. Scott came in then and sat next to Jean, asking what he'd missed. Emma took the opportunity to inform him.
Professor Xavier went on to tell her what her job would entail and all irritation from a few moments before dissolved. She didn't say anything at first but several long seconds later, her face broke out into a smile. That was something she could do. Definitely do. She loved working with the students and since she was still in college part time to work on her masters, this would be the perfect thing for her to do. She'd been one of those scared, shy students just a few short years ago. She could definitely relate.
“Oh, wow, thank you, Professor,” she told him.
Then Emma went on to give her thoughts on the team squad split and Lorna tried to pay attention to what she was saying.

Charles smiled he had hoped some one would push the cable thing. He knew they trusted him but still he like to think they could talk to him about things and challenge him when they thought he was wrong. He was glad that Scott had made it.
" We were talking about the new team arrangement. A lot of the older x men have moved on so i think its about time we thought about replacing them. Also with all thats gone on and is going on i want to have all teh students ready for evacuation and i want them to know what to do."

As seemed to be the case lately, Scott came in annoyed. It was perhaps the most prominent feeling she ever sensed from him and while she could understand in a way given all that was going on, she was still surprised he felt that way toward Xavier. He'd always looked up to the man, had considered him a sort of like father figure and now? He just seemed unhappy with everything.
For not the first time, she wondered why she'd bothered coming back. She wasn't being dramatic but given her history with nearly everyone in the room, some things just seemed too shattered to attempt to glue back together. Ever since the mission to rescue Charles, she'd been having more and more issues with the side of her she had been hoping had died when Logan had stabbed her.
Emma filled Scott in on what had happened thus far but left out the part about Lorna. Since Scott was involved closely with the students and their training, she decided to elaborate a bit. “Lorna's been offered a position as student liaison,” she told him.
She turned her attention back to the Professor when Emma and he began discussing the future of the teams. “I like the idea of two squads, especially for training but don't you think we have plenty of X-Men already? Yes, there may be a few students who could be ready for the team but I don't see a shortage of trained adults here. We recently moved up Bobby, Rogue and Kitty.”

“Congratulations Lorna,” Scott said when Jean told him what had gone on with the young mutant. “I am sure that you will be more than capable to do the job well.” Scott truly meant it as well even though she had not seemingly been at the school as long as some of the other X men it looked like she was more than capable to do the job from what he had seen around the school, looking at his wife he could see that she was not completely at ease at the school yet, hell their marriage hadn’t been the same since she had nearly killed him, however he didn't blame her how could he, she wasn’t completely herself, he knew that she blamed herself but he knew that he would never blame her simply because since she had been back she hadn’t tried to do it again which suggested that there was something going on. Reaching out for her hand he decided to back up her comment about putting more students into the X men.
“Also they aren’t ready,” he said “whether you want to believe it or not they simply lack field experience, Rogue was at liberty Island with us, Bobby was at Alkali lake with us as was Rogue, Bobby and Kitty both stepped up for us at the battle of Alcatraz, that was why I agreed with them stepping up, hell you had Bobby replace me for a time and he did a damn good job, you wanna put more up and load the teams full of inexperienced kids Charles? It would be a slaughter and you know it the students are just that, students... you wanna add more fine but they have to pass a danger room session you get your hopefuls together and I will decide on a simulation or a sparring team to see if they have what it takes, however I still do not agree with this.”
