Faith walked into the dinning room just wanting to eat her quick meal and have some nice and quiet time to herself. Of course she had heard that there was someone else who had arrived that was a striking resemblance to her father and herself. She decided she should check this person out herself, and she of course had put it on her list to do later. Her father had just gave her one heck of a training session that day, and he had pushed her farther than what she had been doing. Of course she welcomed the change of pace, but wondered what he was trying to accomplish with her other than getting her to learn that she didn’t have to fight with her claws and inner animal.
She sighed and took a seat out of the way, and away from the main flow of traffic. She needed to think and eat, or she was bound to snap at someone. Literally. She was not someone to trifle with, and she was sure that once word got out that she was Logan’s kid then she would have some other students wanting to test her. Then once they had figured out that she wasn’t one to be messed with, then they would just leave her alone. She sat there thinking and wondering how and if word of who her parent was got out, and just looking at her sandwich and chips on the plate in front of her.
It wasn’t long before her nose picked up a very familiar scent, and Faith lifted her head to look at the door she had just entered. She knew her father wouldn’t be coming in after her, as he would rather be left alone. She found it uncanny how the two of them are so much alike, but then again it didn’t surprise her. She was of course made to be like him in nearly every sense. She knew he wanted to be alone, as she did as well. So why did this scent that was approaching her location smell just like his? This was a curiosity that she needed to put to rest or it will continue to plague her…

Laura sighed as she walked through the doors and down the halls of the mansion, she was still new to being back here. X-23 wasn't sure what she would do now, she knew that she needed food. She also needed to see Logan again, after all she'd beat him once she could do it again. She smiled as she walked and followed her nose to the Dinner Room, what she wasn't aware of at least not on the top of her mind was another scent. All that she knew was that she was following the smell of food, it would be nice to eat and sit down maybe relax a little bit. Though relaxing was not something that X-23 did, she wasn't wanting to after all one never knew when ones enemies would catch up.
As she walked she dodged people and slid around them, using the training she'd been provided. She didn't want to be around them after all none of them had suffered under Kimura. The name still brought a foul taste to her mouth every time she thought about that female though if you asked Laura she was more monster than human. That was saying something for a clone of Wolverine to say that someone was a monster considering all that they had done as well as the one that made them. She sighed as she got in and a scent almost like Wolverine's yet different assailed her.
As she walked into the dining hall the scent that she smelled that intrigued her caused her to go towards a girl. She didn't realize it was her till she was right there. Laura looked at her and took a sniff of her to make sure that was her and it was indeed her, Laura didn't know what to say at all she stood looking at her for a few moments. Then she realized she'd been staring and looked down then back up again and took a moment to gather her thoughts. This girl was either another clone, a child or a sibling to Wolverine that meant she was family!
"Hello, I'm Laura Kinney. Who are you?" She said very blunt to the other girl and watched her waiting for some sort of response, her instincts told her to hug her and embrace her in family. But she didn't as she looked at her alert for anything that could possibly happen after all she was related to Logan somehow and therefor her.

Faith watched carefully as the owner of the scent she had picked up down the hallway dodged and went around the others. She was grateful that she didn’t have that problem since she was seen following her father the day after her arrival. She was wondering why this girl who wasn’t much older than she was, had nearly the same scent as her father. She sniffed the air noticeable again, trying to figure out why that was. However, the scent only reminded her of Baptiste, and she of course involuntarily growled as those memories surfaced. She knew that her tormentor was Kimura’s son, but that only made her life worse than the deepest bowels of hell. She didn’t think that she wouldn’t ever be able not to growl angrily when thinking of that man. He had done some horrible stuff to her, and she knew that if her father ever found out what he had done. Well there wouldn’t be a force in the universe that would be able to stop him and his berserker rage.
”Hello, I’m Laura Kinney. Who are you?”
She looked up at the girl that had approached her, and noticed that she sniffed the air as well. The name began to nag at something in her mind, a vague memory, and she leaned back in her seat as she let it come to the surface. When it finally did, she sat straight up, and got to her feet. Laura Kinney, also known as X-23, was standing right in front of her. There was so many things that connected them together, the first and most important was their DNA. While she wasn’t a copy, as her father liked to call ‘em, she was his daughter. Made from his sperm, while the girl standing in front of her was a clone. She was suppose to be a replica. She looked her up and down as if she was trying to decide on what to make of her.
Faith remembered being compared to Laura once as a child. She had over heard the scientists say that the two of them were on the same level in all areas. While she didn’t know who the other subject was at the time, she didn’t let it both her any. She was worried of the things that they thought up to put her through, and what other experiments they could think of to pit her against. However, she had learned of who Laura Kinney, AKA X-23, was later from another telepathic experiment. Now she was face to face with another family member, and growing up within Weapon X…well one wasn’t taught to be all friendly and familial to others. ”I’m Faith Webster. So you’re X-23, huh? You smell like someone else I know. So that would make us what?” She finally answered, rather bluntly herself. She was never one to beat around the bush, especially when she was sent to retrieve information from a source.

Laura watched her for a moment, the growl however caused every nerve in her body to tense and prepare for battle. She was not going to be caught off guard you could forget that. She looked at her and then waited for a response, she knew that this was going to be an interesting meeting. She watched her reaction carefully, trying to gauge what was running through the other girls mind. More than likely failing at what she was trying to do but she knew that her 'father' didn't have the greatest people reading skills either. Though to be honest she liked to think that her skills were a bit better than his considering she had to read people in order to kill them in the most efficient way possible.
Every time she breathed she wondered why her scent was familiar yet not, it bugged her to be completely honest with herself. She wasn't sure why but this girl had to be related somehow. Weapon X didn't teach her how to handle family but her mother had, she missed that woman more and more every time she thought about her. She also grew angry because it was Weapon X that had forced her to kill her mother. She hated that and she kept watching the other girl trying not to let her anger boil over into the now and attack the girl.
She was glad taht perhaps she had found someone to talk to but she still didn't know her and there for she was still an unknown element. For all that she knew the other girl might cause her some harm or something, she didn't want to risk that and stood there waiting as calmly as she could even though she was frustrated with the silence or at least its length. "Yeah I'm X-23 got a problem with that?" She asked blunt and defensive. She wasn't sure how else to act around her, "Make us? What do you mean? Just because I'm a clone of Wolverine don't mean nothing." Laura decided to get her to say it after all that was the only way that she would know for sure.

As Laura looked at Faith, she was reading her body language as well. From the time she was three, she was taught how to read a person’s actions and how to prepare for a reaction. Like the girl before her, it was how she effectively killed 188 people without so much of a peep out of the target upon the kill. That was because she knew what they were about to do before they actually did it. So it didn’t escape her attention when the girl tensed in reaction to her angry growl of the memory of her Baptiste, and to tell the truth she didn’t care. She had no plans of attacking the girl across from her
While she had heard stories of Laura having a loving mother to teach her what it meant to be part of a loving family unit, she didn’t have the luck to have the same experience. She figured that once they saw that what that kind of treatment was doing to the girl, they decided to go with a different approach with her. They had cut off all loving types of treatment with her, and she was able to be more willing to accept killing innocent people than with someone who was treated with love. Hell, she didn’t even hug her father until she was just a pin push away from going feral. And to be honest, she found it rather awkward to do than just stand there punching the punching bag in anger.
”Yeah I’m X-23 got a problem with that? Make us? What do you mean? Just because I’m a clone of Wolverine don’t mean nothing.”
Faith only looked at her, and cocked her head to the side to think this through clearly. So she was in front of the famous clone of her father. And of course she didn’t think that she would be well known as Laura was. She only shrugged her shoulders and sat back down in her seat. ”They had stories about you in the facility where I grew up. The scientists that often test me would compare me to you. So no I don’t have a problem with you. Now the other clone of my father, I do.” She answered and growled again as her mind brushed the memories of Baptiste. She was going to have to learn to not be so angry whenever she thought of him. Or just not think of him at all. Just like her father had suggested.

Laura didn't know what to think but her training had prepared her for everything. Well except for being part of a family, it was hard not to imagine what this would be like. She knew that the X-men and the Mansion would be friendly to her but they weren't friends, no one would understand the pain, the suffering and most of all the guilt. However this girl might just understand the pain a bit, she went through the same thing.
Laura wondered what was going through her mind, the slightest shift of weight was noticed. She was sure that Faith was well aware of the shifts as well. Laura knew she was, she sat down and looked at Faith still ready to defend herself if needed it probably wouldn't be needed but she'd try at least. Though she wasn't fully sure how to act around Faith she'd give it her best effort and not get into to much trouble being social with her.
"So you grew up in The Facility? Why didn't I ever see you? They must have kept us seperate for obvious reasons. Together we would have gotten out sooner also we probably would have actually tried to bond. Not that it makes any real difference. So that means your his daughter, your actually kind of lucky you know. You fully understand where you stand with him. I don't" She told her as she looked at her trying to keep all emotions at bay and succeeding considering she doesn't like feeling them when it comes to pain.

Faith never took her eyes off of Laura, and like the girl’s training had taught her, her training had the same effect. Although her father was teaching her to not have the immediate instinct to kill during a confrontation, but it was hard to untrained that instinct after it was instilled in her at such a young age. So far she was lucky to not have the students there attempt to talk to her and get to know her. However there was that one who called himself Bobby Drake had tried, and he had just given up before he even tried. She doubted that none of the other kids in this building had been through what she had, and because of that she was a gruff loner. Very anti-social, and she didn’t think she could ever change that part of herself.
She remember learning from a very early age to know what was going on around her. Her senses picked everything up, from the slightest change in someone’s scent to the slightest change in a sound. So of course she had picked up the weight shifts between them, however she had ignored the ones she knew she was the cause of. Even though she was now seated, she was not relaxed. Not by a long shot. She was also able to defend herself if needed, and she was always ready to defend herself at the drop of a pin. This of course was no exception.
I don't"
Faith cocked her head yet again as she listened to Laura talk. She nodded her head in agreement to her theory of why they had never seen one another. Heck, Chris had to sneak in and see her after the beating and experiments. Not that she minded he did, but she of course was worried that they would find out and hurt him. That she couldn’t allow, and mentally shook her head to bring it back to the situation at hand. She had noticed that the girl had spoken unemotionally, and she completely understood it. When Logan and Jean had started to ask her questions when she first arrived a few weeks ago, she was just like that, save for the burning anger that festered inside of her.
She then turned her attention back to the girl and shrugged her shoulders. ”He first went on a lumberjack rampage when I first showed up. He didn’t like the idea that they were trying to make obedient copies of himself. At first I thought he didn’t want me around, but that turned out to be a false assumption. It wasn’t until later that night was when I learned how he actually felt about me.” She finally said and picked up her sandwich before taking a large bite out of it.

Laura knew that this would be an awkward situation given that they were both what they were. Clones of Wolverine, well she was and the other was what she was. Which in Laura's mind was far luckier than she'd ever be, she wasn't exactly a daughter but she wasn't exactly a true clone. She was a fall back after twenty two failures, they had wanted a male not a female which was why she was treated the way she was why Kimura was allowed to beat her. For just a moment her control on her features faltered and her eyes grew steely with disdain at the memory of Kimura.
Laura watched her and also paid attention to the other people around them, she was hearing whispers from some about her and Faith. She knew that soon enough her father would come looking for her, not that it really mattered to be honest. She knew that he would find her, but the comments were enough to cause her to glance at them and almost want to growl in frustration. People were so difficult to understand, she sighed and tried to tune them out but her training wouldn't allow it. She was far to ready for combat to get up and tear someone apart.
The reaction was one she'd expected, honestly she wondered if the girl had anyone that had ever cared for her the way that her mother had. Of course she wouldn't know unless she asked, but Laura didn't want to after all it was not needed information. Laura didn't hold a single bit of emotion at that moment except for a desire to kill Kimura, that would drive her until she did succeed at killing her old handler. "So who was your handler? I know it's a kind of painful thought but I'm curious if we were somehow connected." The Facility no longer held any sway over her, not since she'd escaped the only thing that held sway was over her was Zebra Daddy and he was dead and that was because of Kiden.
"From my short experience with him he probably wouldn't like that. I know he wasn't overly fond of me, since a letter my mother wrote him. Though I wonder how he'll feel now, considering everything." She was honestly curious about his reaction to her and her presence.

Faith didn’t trust herself not to let her attention falter from Laura. Granted they were most likely created for the same reason, but she knew from doing some unofficial recon that she had the adamantium grafted to her entire skeleton. X-23 only had them on her claws, and they had surgically removed them to do it and then replanted them. What she didn’t know was that if they had moved them from their original locations or not. The however did not remove them from her, and instead just kept them in her body while they added the metal alloy. She of course did not like that, and remembered that pain very clearly. She thought that there was nothing worse than that procedure but she was wrong. Having the alloy surgically grafted to her entire skeleton without any aid to dull the pain, that was a million times worse than having it just added her claws.
She was not only paying attention to the girl in front of her, ready for any sort of an attack that may happen, she was also hearing the whispers of the other students. Much like her father would have done, she ignored them. She didn’t care what they thought of her, as there was only one person’s opinion that mattered to her. And she knows what that is, so she allowed them to think what they wanted. However, she ignoring something was completely different than her tuning something out. She knew that if she tuned something out, she could end up dead. So she continued to listen to the whispers and the allegations about her and Laura, and their crack pot theories on how they were connected to her father. She raised and eyebrow as one theory was mentioned not too far from them that stated that her father had taken two women to his bed and got each one pregnant. Now that they showed to be like him, their mothers dumped their mutant daughters in his lap. She mentally shook her head and let them think that, not bothering to correct them with the truth.
”So who was your handler? I know it’s a kind of painful thought but I’m curious if we were somehow connected. From my short experience with him he probably wouldn’t like that. I know he wasn’t overly found of me, since a letter my mother wrote him. Though I wonder how he’ll feel now, considering everything.”
Faith returned her focus back onto Laura, and grounded her teeth again while another involuntary growl escaped her. She closed her eyes, and mediated for a moment to push back the anger that came with just thinking about her handler brought her. ”My handler was Babtiste Rice. A clone of the original Weapon X, and was Kimura’s son.” She answered the question of who handled her, and she needed to calm down again or she was going to end up destroying this room. So she closed her eyes again, took some deep calming breaths.
When she was calm once again, she opened her eyes and looked back at X-23. ”Well, he won’t be quite so angry if you came here. At least I wouldn’t be as long you are not working for them any more. But I would suggest you go find him first before he finds you. He was ready to tear me from limb to limb when I first stepped through the front door. It wasn’t until after I bled all over the woods that he finally believed that I was his kid…” She was rambling and had no clue why. Something told her that Laura wasn’t bad, like her. Just that life had dealt them a rotten hand early in life. She didn’t want her father to get too much angry at her for something she really had no control over.
Faith quickly polished off her meal and got to her feet, before turning to look at Laura again. ”I can go with you if you want when you are ready to see him. I mean that he might not want to tear you limb from limb if I was there. I wouldn’t have that reaction if it happened to me. He might think that if I was with you there, then you might not be one of the obedient ones that still side with Weapon X.” She added with a weak smile.

Laura knew that this meeting was going rather well all things considered, she knew that they were similiar but what were the differences? She didn't want to hear the other people in the room so she did her best to ignore their words and simply looked at Faith. Her focus was this other clone and that was all that mattered as she looked at her wondering what exactly would happen now.
The theory that she was Logan's daughter by him sleeping with someone caused Laura to want to laugh, she was no daughter not in the way they thought. She was a clone, a copy, in her mind she'd never be anywhere near as good as the original. Though she'd strive for it and she did listen a bit closer to see what other crazy things they said. She also kept her primary focus on Faith, you could never be to sure about people.
Laura knew that response well it was the same she had whenever Kimura was mentioned and there she was. Laura growled at the name and nodded as she looked at her. "I understand your pain. If he was anything like Kimura." when she said the name it was hissed out and filled with rage. She would not tolerate that creature being mentioned much so she tried to limit the opportunities for it to come up.
"Well hopefully I can find him before he finds me. I know that it probably won't end well." She told her as she thought of Logan and the first time they'd met which had been quite some time ago. She had only recently escaped Weapon X at that time and she had killed her mother the only person that had ever cared about her.
Laura stood when Faith did, "That sounds like a great idea Faith." She responded with a slight grin, she kenw that it was true and didn't mind having the help of another that suffered the way she had.

Faith kept her eyes on Laura and wondered if her childhood was as bad as hers was. Granted from what she could gather from the other experiments, the other girl had a loving and caring mother to look out for her. It was not the same for her, as she was gifted with Baptiste and his sadistic ways of treating her. Thus why she was so connected to her feral side than perhaps Laura was. She picked up her now dirty dishes, before getting the okay to her suggestion from the clone of her father. She smiled weakly at the other girl and nodded her head once, before starting to make her way to deposit the dishes. She paused briefly before motioning X-23 to follow her.
As she walked she began to think of what this could mean. There was no reason in her mind that the two of them couldn’t get to know one another, as the two of them knew what it was like growing up the way they did. It was something that her father would have not truly understand, if he was the paternal type. So far the only thing the two of them did was train, and they hardly ever spoken to one another outside of the lessons. ”So what do you say of us getting acquainted?” She asked as she got rid of her dishes and turned to look at the other girl with her arms crossed across her chest much like her father would do when waiting on something.
