Caitrin walked into the kitchen and sighed with relief. Finely some peace and quiet. She was hoping the kitchen would be empty after all it was early in the morning. The sun wasn't even up yet. Setting her laptop on the table and plugging everything in she sat down. Bear fallowed her in a laid down at her feet before falling back asleep. She quickly opened a file on her computer that required a password to enter it. She quickly typed Bear Snores in. As the file opened she read over what she had written so far. It was information on her powers. She was trying to learn new ways to use them. Everything she knew about her powers where in this file. There was more information in this one file than there probably was in the schools files.
She worked on the file for a good hour before she heard footsteps coming down the hall. Quickly she logged out of the file and opened another one that was sheet music she had written for her guitar. Cat brushed a lock of stray hair and tucked it under her right ear. She wasn't sure who it was but she preferred to keep as much about her a secret as possible. even though that was probably very unlikely in such a large school.

Theresa had always been an early morning sort of person. Even as a toddler, Uncle Tom had said that she'd had him up before dawn (although she had a feeling he'd been exaggerating a bit) every morning. It wasn't until she'd grown more independent, not quite so needy to having an adult around at all moments, that he'd ever been able to sleep in.
She vaguely remembered crawling into his bed most mornings and reading or coloring or doing something quietly while he snored away. By the time she was four, she could make herself a simple breakfast of cold cereal and toast as well as pour the juice. While she quietly worked at something next to him, he'd received the sleep that most young bachelors craved. Now, at eighteen, she wondered why he'd never just handed her over to an orphanage so that he could get his own life back.
Whatever the reason, she was grateful that he hadn't. Those first eight years in the Keep with him had formed a bond that she'd clung to even after he'd dumped her in boarding school so that he could go about his life of crime.
Now, soon after the sun finally came up on a cold December morning in New York, Terry found herself walking from her room to the kitchen in search of breakfast. She could do more then cold cereal and toast these days, having grown quite independent due to her rather unconventional upbringing. Dressed in a pair of worn jeans with more holes in them then was probably appropriate, a dark green t-shirt and a navy blue hoodie, she walked into the kitchen with nothing but breakfast on her mind.
She'd heard someone in the room long before she actually walked in but didn't think too much of it. They lived in a mansion full of people, after all. Even when she escaped to the roof, she sometimes ran into someone there. It was a bit crazy and her enhanced hearing due to her mutation didn't help any.
Pushing the door open, she smiled at Caitrin and continued to the fridge. Pulling out the milk, she poured a full glass, drank half of it immediately before putting the jug back into the appliance. Digging into a cupboard, she found the bagels and popped one of them into the toaster before finally turning her attention back to the other girl in the room. Now that breakfast was being made (and it didn't consist of cupcakes like the other morning), she could finally be social.
“Morning, Caitrin,” she greeted the other girl, blue eyes darting toward the large dog that laid at his mistress' feet.

Caitrin looked up from her computer and smiled as Terry walked into the kitchen. "Good morning Terry. I see your up as early as ever. Still not up earlier than me though," she laughed softly and closed her laptop. She walked over to a cupboard and opened it. Inside was all the stuff she bought. It all said hands off. As she went to grab her box of Lucky Charms. She could feel the difference in it's weight. Yesterday it was brand new with just one bowl taken from it. Now it was practically empty. Barely enough for one bowl. "I swear I am going to kill who ever has bean eating my cereal." Not many things ticked Caitrin off. But eating her Lucky Charms with out her permission was one of them. She had to have Lucky Charms for breakfast. She had it every morning for breakfast. Caitrin dug through the boxes she always kept an emergency box of Lucky Charms in the back. But after taking everything out it wasn't there. There where a few other things missing as well but she didn't care to much about those.

“I'm not about to get into a waking contest with ye, Cat. Ye can have the before sunrise moments,” she told the other girl with a grin.
As her bagel toasted in the toaster, Cat came over and began to rummaging through the cupboards, muttering and saying things under her breath that were easily caught by Terry's keen sense of hearing. It was the thing she hated most about her mutation. No one truly understood how noisy a mansion full of people were until one could hear whispered conversations a room away. Not fun at all.
A red eyebrow rose as the other girl pulled out a box of “Lucky Charms” cereal and threatened to kill whomever it was that was consuming the goods. It was one joke that had become old quite quickly when she'd first arrived. She was from Ireland, still had her Irish accent and it had taken her months to get rid of the damned nickname. She was no one's lucky charm.
“Ye really should keep them in yuir room. I know some of the others even have mini refrigerators hooked up. It's about the only safe place for things ye want to keep away from others,” Theresa suggested to her. If her dog wouldn't get into the food, that was.
She'd never had a pet before, Tom hadn't believed in sparing the expense of caring for them. Not that they couldn't have afforded it. He'd been rather rich as a young man and his fortune had only increased. That was, until he was arrested for the criminal acts that made his money for him.

Cat sighed and smiled. "That's only because you know I would win," she laughed. "Your probably right. I will have to talk to the Professor about getting a mini fridge and a small cupboard put into my room." Taking a bite of her cereal she looked down at Bear and laughed. He was sitting up and staring at her begging for some food. Walking over she filled Bear's food dish up and cleaned the water bowl and put fresh cold water in it. She than grabbed a banana and gave a small chunk of it to Bear. She didn't know why but Bear loved Banana's.

She fed bananas to a dog? Ooookay, whatever. It probably went back to that whole “never had a pet before” thing but Terry wasn't even sure if it was healthy to feed a dog bananas. She'd always assumed that the whole people food was taboo thing held true. Oh, well. It wasn't her dog. First they had Wanda's cat running around and now a dog. She had to wonder if this wasn't turning into as much an animal shelter as it was a mutant shelter.
“Yeah, I think that might solve yuir issues, especially if ye actually paid for them yuirself. I tend to just throw whatever I want on the list that's pinned to the fridge and when shopping day arrives, I make sure I help carry in the bags. That way, I can look for my things then take them with me,” she told Cat, still grinning.
Not that she ever really needed much. And now she had the gift card that the Professor had given her for her birthday and she still needed to go out and actually spend it. What she would use it on, though, she had no idea. Honestly, Terry wasn't needy of anything as it was usually provided by someone around here. She suspected that the Professor must have some sort of charity donations or something with the amount of money he had to go through to keep a mansion this size with this many people in it running smoothly.
“Do ye like to shop?” she asked Cat, curious.

It was early morning, or so some would say, for Alex it wasn’t that early, he had been up an hour or so, he had showered hit the gym and then reshowered before getting dressed, it was just the way that Alex did thing, he wasn’t one for not doing things early, it had come from his school days and his time in care, you got up early rather than spending half your day in bed doing nothing, it was better that way if you wanted to make something of yourself. Alex like most was intent of making something of himself, not that any of the X men or students wouldn’t make anything of themselves but Alex had been so driven even before coming to the school that he wasn’t going to let the opportunities that he had fade away from him, even if that was possible.
Alex dressed into a white long sleeved shirt that he couldn’t be bothered buttoning and a pair of jeans, he often dressed this way to try and get a reaction from girls, and to be fair he normally got it, he liked how some girls acted like it was nothing because they had boyfriends or whatever, he also liked how some guys hated him for it, that had been how it was at high school when he was in the gym, he had yet to really see reactions like that around the mansion.
Walking into the kitchen he saw two girls sitting and talking. Smiling he went to the cupboard and got a bowl out, filled it with some kind of chocolate cookie cereal and applied milk. Turning a chair around he sat down at the table.
“Hey,” he said “I don’t think we have met I am Alex, Alex Summers.”
