Kurt woke and rolled in the bed pulling his sheet over his head at the sight and feel of the sun on his blue skin. He was never a morning man and as so tried to stay as long as he could in bed. Finally giving up he rolled to his left letting his tail pull back the sheets as he rubbed his eyes and headed to shower.
Now showered he walked out dressing in a tee shirt and slacks. Now dressed he realized he was hungry with a sigh he bamfed down to the kitchen appearing at the door. Pushing it open he looked in seeing it empty he walked in and headed for a cupboard to take out the cereal he has seen there and poured out a bowl and moved to the table where he sat down his tail waving behind him as he ate quietly. His thoughts centered around what he was going to do that day, he wanted to train but he also wanted to gather his thoughts as he'd been away for along time only now returning because he had felt a change coming and he needed to be right where he was.
He enjoyed the sweet taste of the cereal and wondered it any one was up yet he could hear nothing yet he also wondered if there had been any new members join the mansion yet. He gave a sigh and continued to eat.

No matter, his rounds were done and now he could finally relax back in the garden. But first, a glass of water would be nice. What better place to get water then the kitchen. As Derek made his way to the kitchen, he could already hear the rustling of students waking up. “Joy…” Derek muttered as he continued along his way.
When Derek entered into the kitchen, he was too exhausted to even notice anyone around him. Sure he noted that there was a person sitting and eating, but he didn’t really care. He was to tired and thirsty to care. “hmmmm no water…” Derek mumbled. There was a carton of juice so Derek settled with it. He quickly grabbed it and turned around to get a glass. That was when he actually noticed who was sitting at the table eating cereal. His appearance caught him off guard and made his jump.
It took him a few seconds to recover. Well he was staying at a mansion full of mutants. So blue devil like people were normal, so Derek thought. “Sorry, I didn’t see you there.”

Kurt heard a voice and looked up he could not help the chuckle that escaped his lips as the boy said he didn't see him sat at th table. " zat vouldn't be ze virst time " he said softly but loud enough that he could probably hear him say it as he ate. finishing his cereal he stood up his tail waving behind him as he moved to the sink passing the boy as he went to it.
He gave an audible sigh as he moved back to his seat " names Kurt , Kurt Wagner" he said looking at him not really expecting him to be cheerful this time in the morning as it was even too early for him to be up though now he was he thought about what he could do, danger room, nope Wolverine was probably there torturing...teaching some new recruits.

“We-well, nice to meet you. My name is Derek Nakamura,” he said as he lifted his right hand for a handshake. It wasn’t until then that he also noticed his hands. It made him wonder what abilities this “Kurt” had. Then again, sometimes it’s better not to ask. Derek never told many people of his abilities. In fact, to his knowledge only a few knew of his abilities for safety reasons. He couldn’t expect a person to do something that he himself doesn’t do.
He then went over to grab a glass and pours some juice in it. The rummaging from upstairs was getting louder and louder by the minute. Derek had to get out of here. He didn’t like being around the students. Sure he was one of them a few years ago. Even then he was a loner.
No matter, Derek estimated that they would be down in 10 minutes. They gave him some time to enjoy his drink at least. He was to exhausted to go run outside to avoid them. He then sat down facing “Kurt”. “So Kurt do tell me about yourself. I’m sure you have some interesting stories.”
