-Playby name( actor/actress name); Alfred Molina
-Real Name Otto Octavius
-Code Name: Doctor Octopus
-Faction: Weapon X
-Canon or Original; canon
-Age: 47
-Date of Birth: October 12
-Height: 5'9''
-Weight: 247 lbs.
-Physical Description: Otto has somewhat of a dark appearance. His dark brown matted hair shows his eyes to be a very dark brown. Doc Ock is usually seen with a pair of dark science goggles everywhere he goes. Ever since becoming a scientist involved with Weapon X, he upgraded his four mentally-controlled, electronically-powered, telescoping, prehensile titanium-steel tentacles that are attached to a stainless steel harness encircling his body from his lower chest to his waist. Making them adamantium, the tentacles tend to be very indestructible. The adamantium isn't at all vulnerable to high temperatures, nor electricity. Otto is also usually seen in a dark pair of jeans, along with a dark-brown trench coat. Otto doesn't care about his hygiene, because he doesn't care what people think.
-Personality:
Years of life as a criminal mastermind have hardened Doc Ock's heart to most acts of violence or cruelty. Though not a sociopath or DID-sufferer, he operates by disassociating himself from the people he is interacting with, and the distance he puts between himself and the rest of the world has created a dichotomy in him over time; he has a hard time feeling close to others and is easily aggrivated by open or outrageous behaviour, yet he feels overwhelmed by loneliness and the need to connect with someone. When helping or cooperating with others in the Nexus, where his strangeness and criminal nature do not benefit or hinder him, Otto is stoic and driven by the need to set things right… whether or not his version of reality meshes with that of those around him. Arrogant and melancholic by nature, he is often accused of being humourless or "frumpy", and has a hard time understanding others and having his own feelings understood.
The humanitarian sentiments he often preaches are in stark contrast to his own violent past, bringing some to (rightfully) consider him a hypocrite; to simultaneously adore and despise humanity is yet another symptom of his dualistic nature. He finds himself more troubled by the self-conscious need to feel guilt over past deeds than the deeds themselves, and strives to move beyond his past, doing good in the present rather than trying to shackle himself with the need to atone for his sins.
-Powers: Tentacles: Doctor Octopus' superhuman abilities derive from the four mentally-controlled, electronically-powered, telescoping, prehensile titanium-steel tentacles attached to a stainless steel harness encircling his body from lower chest to waist. Each tentacle, approximately five inches in diameter, terminates in three single-jointed pincers. The pincers are able to rotate in relation to the arm for 360 degrees, in a screwdriver-like twisting motion. Each tentacle segment contains four high-efficiency electric motors equipped with a clutched, helical-gear train, independently mounted on frictionless gimbals and housed in four thin, overlapping layers of titanium-niobium steel. The titanium-steel alloy is light, has high-tensile strength, a high melting point, and high thin-wall rigidity. The motors get their power from a small nuclear-powered thermo-electric generator, which can provide several hundred watts per hour for up to five years before needing to replace its U-239 core. The tentacles have been modified since the time of the original accident to include high-efficiency battery packs (enabling movement when cut off from the central power source) and individual micro-circuit control modules (enabling each arm to perform certain pre-programmed actions when Octopus loses conscious control). In the event that Octopus loses consciousness, the control module of each arm has enough pre-programmed conditional responses in its memory chip to enable it to perform a relatively complex sequence of actions, such as saving his life. The trauma of his arm or arms being separated from the harness causes a period of disorientation in which his arms flail about uncontrollably until the pre-programming takes over.
Telescoping: Each tentacle is approximately six feet long at full contraction, but can extend to a maximum of 24 feet in length.
Superhuman Striking Force: Each tentacle is capable of moving at a speed of ninety feet per second and strike with the force of a jackhammer. High-Wind Generation: The tentacles can generate 50 mile per hour winds if spun like a giant fan. They've been used lots of times to flee, or to ward enemies away. The tentacles can extend really far Wall-Climbing and Traveling: By combining the intrinsic strength of both his tentacles and the pincers, Doctor Octopus can scale stone, brick, or concrete walls by rending "handholds" in the surface of the wall. Octopus is able to use his tentacles for traversing horizontal distances as well. At full extension, he can travel high above the ground as if on stilts, either using two tentacles, or for maximum speed (approximately 50 miles per hour), four tentacles.
Sensation Feeling: Although there are no nerve endings throughout the length of his artificial arms, Octopus can "feel" basic sensations with them. As a result of the mutagenic changes from exposure to radiation during the accident, electrical connections have been made from his chest harness to his spine. Thus, Doctor Octopus can mentally perceive "tactile" sensations by feeling the amount of electrical resistance that the pincer's electric motors feel when the pincers grasp an object.
-Weaknesses: Everyone has a weakness. What's yours?
-Skills: Very intelligent in the arts of chemistry and physics
-Equipment/Weaponry: Otto carries a pistol with him at all times. He also carries an adamantium spear in his right tentacle that extends out when needed.
- Relatives: . wife(deceased)
-History: Otto Octavius had a turbulent upbringing. His father, a factory worker, was abusive and violent towards both Otto and his mother, leading Otto to be shy and reclusive in school. However, at his mother's insistence, he was determined not to become like his father and threw all his efforts into his education, regularly scoring top marks. It was hinted that he was a low-level telepathic mutant whose powers emerged at puberty; this mutation may have been responsible for giving his father an aneurysm as his father went to beat him. His father's death in an industrial accident pushed Otto further towards the study of, and obsession with, physical science.
Before his transformation into the megalomaniacal archenemy of the web-slinger, Otto was a brilliant and respected nuclear physicist, inventor, and lecturer. He became the youngest person to serve on the National Board of Nuclear Science. He designed a set of highly advanced mechanical arms to assist him with his research into atomic physics. The tentacled arms were resistant to radiation and were capable of great strength and highly precise movement. They were attached to a harness that fit around his body.
During an accidental radiation leak that ended in an explosion, the apparatus became fused to Octavius' body. It was later revealed that the radiation (or possibly his own latent mutation) had mutated his brain so that he could control the movement of the arms using his thoughts alone. The tentacles have since been surgically removed from his body, although Octavius retains the power to control them telepathically from a great distance. The accident also seemingly damaged his brain (although it was later suggested that what was interpreted as brain damage was in fact his mind rewiring itself to accommodate four extra limbs), and the scientist turned to a life of crime.
Though Doctor Octopus himself tends to be portly, and in poor physical shape, he has recently been able to improve upon his physique. He was also near-sighted to the extent that he was legally blind without the aid of his extremely thick eyeglasses, but he no longer appears to suffer from that problem, presumably through the use of laser surgery.
