-Physical Description: Richard is a man that takes his fitness very seriously. His body is well toned due to hours of intense workout to keep himself in top physical shape. His brown hair, on the other hand, is usually a bit shaggy and unkept as he doesn't really bother to spend time with making it look perfect. There are times that he goes a few days without shaving, not minding a bit of scruff from time to time. His eyes are a striking blue in color. When he's not doing his thing as a super hero, his clothing is usually kept pretty casual. He'll wear jeans, simple shirts and tennis shoes but will dress up if the occasion calls for it.
-Personality:
Like most people, Richard is a complex man. Due to his status, much of his time is spent protecting Earth and everything around it. Since he received his powers, Richard has used them for good and only good. Never in his life has he concidered using them for evil, the thing that he hates most in the universe. He's very willing to put his own personal life aside to make sure that others are safe and happy in theirs. Because of this, Richard suffers from some depression. This usually happens when innocent people die or when he becomes homesick. He's away from Earth for many, many months at a time and it doesn't take long at all for him to start to miss his home and his old life.
Though he is thankful that his powers were given to him and that he can save so many with them, he still has those moments where he wishes he could live a normal life. But he knows that once his powers are gone, he misses them more than anything. He struggles to keep a balance between his 'normal' life and the life of a superhero. His relationships with women also suffer because of this. He's had wonderful relationships with great women in his past but they always end the same when his personal problems become too much for them to deal with, leading to the break ups. Though he still clings to the hope of a lasting love, he has practically given up on even trying to start a relationship with anyone, fearing that they won't be able to deal with his duties and his problems.

Richard is the host of the entire Nova Force after the fall of all the other Nova Corps members.
SUPERHUMAN STRENGTH -- He is able to channel the Nova Force and give himself an incredible amount of strength. 100 tons can be easily lifted by him without any trouble. The Nova Force makes him one of the strongest beings in the Universe.
SUPERHUMAN SPEED -- Using the Nova Force, he is able to run at an incredible speed that can top any human athlete. He can move at several hundred miles an hour and move faster than the speed of light.
SUPERHUMAN STAMINA -- Because of the Nova Force that is fused in his body, Richard produces less fatigue toxins than most. He can perform vigerously for 24 hours before he'll begin to get tired and becomes impaired.
SUPERHUMAN DURABILITY -- His body is extremely resistant to all forms of physical damage, making him practically invulnerable. He can take bullets, extreme heat and cold, falls from great heights, acid, energy blasts, and high impact without being injured.
SUPERHUMAN AGILITY/REFLEXES -- His agility and reflexes are greatly enhanced because of the Nova Force, making him very quick to react, balanced, quick, and coordinated.
HEALING -- Though it is rare for him to be injured, it is possible and when it does happens, his healing kicks in. The Nova Force gives him the ability to heal himself instantly if any damage is done to his body.
FLIGHT -- He can fly using the Nova Force, propelling himself at faster than light speeds and travels around the galaxy that way. But he has to be careful when he is in a planet's atmosphere. If he went at top speed, he could greatly damage the planet so he has to settle for supersonic speeds.
ENERGY GENERATION -- He can send extremely powerful blasts using the Nova Force from his body in battle situations. With this, he can also create portals to travel through space with and can nulify gravity with an electromagnetic blast.
XANDARIAN WORLDMIND -- The Worldmind is a living computer that contains the entire record of the Xandarian civilization along with the minds of all the dead members. Being the host of the Worldmind, he has access to all of the culture and history stored by the Xandrian people. He can access the Worldmind by mental or verbal communication and the Worldmind, in return, will offer him advice, instructions and sometimes even criticism. The Worldmind helps him to control the full force of the Nova Force and without it, he would very likely lose his mind because of the sheer power of the Nova Force. It can also download profiles of enemies directly to Richard's mind, detect energy sources, can take control of Richard's body while he sleeps, can access highly protected computers, analize attacks, detect approaching mutants, allows Richard to hack into satelitte TV and transmit his image and voice to television, and can protect him from Psionic manipulation.

XANDARIAN STARCORPS UNIFORM: The uniform is designed to aid his powers without being damaged by them. It is highly resistant to damage and is airtight, doubling as a space suit when he travels into the galaxy. The helmet, which looks just like a piece of cloth when not on making it easy to hide while in civilian form, is connected to an oxygen supply within the suit so he can travel without worry. It also has a life support system built into it. The helmet can pick up radio frequences, telescopic sighs, night vision, and heat imagery censors.

Richard was born and raised in Hemptstead, New York. His childhood was very normal and things didn't really get interested until high school. He attented Harry. S. Truman Highschool and while a student there, he received his powers. But his came in a very unique way. He was chosen randomly by the alien Rhomann Dey, the last of the Centurions of the planet Xandar's Nova Corps. He was chosen to inherit Dey's powers and succeed him to become Nova Prime in the future. The powers were transfered to Richard as Dey drew his last breath.
Richard was more than surprised when the powers came to him, along with a uniform to help him control them. He had very little instruction on what to do with his powers and how to use them but he quickly took up the life of a superhero. He fought many villains in New York and slowly began how to learn to control his powers. After a while, he was called to space to help protect Xandar, which had recently been reformed. He agreed and helped to protect the planet for over a year but eventually, he became extremely homesick and was sick of fighting all the time. He requested to return home but he was told that he would have to give up his powers to go. And he did just that.
For the next half of a year, Richard lived a normal life though it was not a very fullfilling one. He was stuck flipping burgers because he didn't finish highschool and he found himself missing the powers that he once had. Though he didn't know it, Xandar had once again been destroyed while he was working the grill down on Earth. One day, he was kidnapped by a man named Night Trasher. He had a feeling that Richard's powers were just dormant and that they hadn't actually been stripped from him. He took the teenager to the top of a building in hopes that Richard's powers would come back due to the adrenaline rush. He was right. The powers rushed back to Richard and he flew to the ground safely after the drop. Though he was originally very, very angry at Night Trasher, Richard eventually helped him to form a team of young super heroes called the New Warriors.
He fought with the New Warriors for the next few years though eventually he grew tired of working with a group and much preferred to do his work alone, leading to him doing many quests alone. During this time, he met Super-Nova and the two, with the help of the New Warriors, helped to resurrect Xandar again. Richard was appointed Centurion Prime and assigned to guard Earth's sector of space. He went back to Earth and he struggled to balance his life as Centurion Prime and a New Warrior. Soon after, the Deathstorm was coming for Earth and Richard saved the world from destruction, though because he disobeyed some orders, his power was stripped from him and he was replaced by Super-Nova.
It wasn't long til Super-Nova died in a moment of sacrifice and Richard's powers were returned to him. He went back to working with the New Warriors for a while but eventually was called back up to space to help protect Xandar from the Annihilation Wave. Unfortunately, the attack took out the entire Nova Corps, leaving Richard as the only surviver. Because he was the only one alive, he became the host of the entire Nova Force and the Xandarian Worldmind. He immediately returned to Earth and is now doing all he can to protect the planet and rid the world, and the universe, of all evil.
