The melodies of a lovely Mozart piano trio, could be heard emanating from the ballroom, but if one were to look inside the room, they'd only see one piano, with only one pianist. DarkLight was playing all three parts by himself with the help of two arms created from the shadows under the piano, and two arms created from the light coming in through the large windows in the ballroom. Music was soothing to DarkLight, or should I day Nick? Music helped Nick keep control over both aspects of his power, helped him keep Sunrider and Darkside out of control of him. Nick knew that by using his powers over light and shadow simultaneously, whilst trying to concentrate on the music was risky, he knew that the split in his attention could bring his support structure crashing down, and his DarkLight personality could dissappear, and Sunrider/Darkside could take control once again, and Nick hated the feeling of only being able to use half of his powers. Yet this was a necessary risk, because the music was soothing, it was lulling the voices to sleep, convincing Sunrider that there was no need to take over now, telling Darkside that when night came there'd be no need for him either. Music was his savior.
