Max was working it was a slow day. he been thinking about a few things of late. his body and his powers and his place on this earth. HE looked at the shop it was dead no one had come in to the extreme dream sport shop all day. he picked up some boxes and took them back to the store room. He placed the boxes down. With a thud some thing bounced off his head. HE did not notice till he saw the dent in the scuba tank.
HE Cleared his throat hoping no one heard that. A few moments later he heard the buzzer going. he was relived some one was coming in. HE walked in to the front and saw a woman looking at a few things. Grate that's all he needed some part time chic who was probably after a gift for her Boy friend who was a border or some thing. All though she did have a good rear from what he could see. "is there anything i can help you with?"

She had no idea where she was. Everything looked very different from the places she would normally go. I must’ve taken a wrong turn, she thought with a huff. She had on her favorite pair of skinny legged jeans, the usual biker boots and a white tank top that liked to expose her belly button too much. It was nice out for the season, sunny and warm. Amara loved it. It was a relief from the growing cold soon she was going to have to really cover up. She groaned at the thought. She wished she was back in Brazil. But then that thought stopped short as she remembered her family members. They already made it clear that they didn’t want me around.
Amara’s eyes scanned around the area. There was fast food joint, a small gym, clothing stores, and a sports shop. She didn’t think twice, might as well browse for new hand wraps and maybe clothes. She eased the door open, no one was at the counter. She noted the buzzer on the desk. She pushed it once, hearing it go off she turned around to glance at the store. It was pretty small but it looked very well stocked and up to date on most items. A second later she heard a man behind her. She turned to see a man with sandy blonde hair and nice features. She smiled broadly at him, “Uh, hi, I was wondering if you happened to have hand wraps? You know for like boxing or hand-to-hand combat?” She grinned, he’s pretty cute for a store clerk.

Max smiled. "yeah we have a few." he smiled as he walked over to a small area. " we don't get much call for them but." he picked up a few boxes. "these are my favorite there the ones i use when i am training." well they were ones he use to do He had stooped training nowadays ever since he found out how strong he become. The idea of punching some so hard he brakes bones did not appeal to him.
She looked stunning from the front as well. Knowing his luck she was with some one. "so what type of sparing do you do as that may effect the type of gloves you need." he placed several on the counter for her to look at and try. he gave her a warm smile as he did.

Amara couldn’t help but watch him walk, he’s certainly got nice arms and- stop it! He’s probably got a girlfriend, just grab the gloves pay for them and leave. She smiled nonchalantly, as if she didn’t just practically imagine him without a shirt on. She looked at the gloves, they were plain which worked perfectly. She propped both her elbows on the table.“Since you seem to like them I guess I’ve gotta at least try them. If they don’t work then I’ll know who to blame.” She grinned. Okay so she could totally flirt if she wanted to, no harm in that. She thought about what to classify her training as. She couldn’t really say that she sparred to get better at it just in case she wasn’t able to use her powers. Amara shrugged, “I like the punching bag and just general fighting styles, I guess.” She grabbed a piece of her hair and started fiddling with it, something she tended to do every now and then. “Do you spar?” She noted his arms and how they were muscularly built. She bit her bottom lip, to say she was physically attracted to him was an understatement.

" well if it gets you back here i sure i would not complain. " he smiled was she flirting with him. god it had been ages since he even hut on a woman. he had been to scared how did you tell them that you could punch threw walls and fall out of a plane with not a scratch on you? it was a hard one. She asked him about his sparing. "i Use to but then i had an accident when sky diving and just never done any since then." it was as close to the truth as he was willing to get. He looked her over she was very hot and he was hoping that he could drag this out long enough. " tell you what if there not good enough for what you need come back and ask for me Max and i will sort you out."

Amara had no hope to suppress a wide smile from plastering itself on her face. She could definitely come back here just to see this guy. She was all smiles and about to be all giggles if this kept up. His smile made her knees sort of wobble, good thing she was leaning up against the counter. Her face fell when he had mentioned his accident from skydiving. She regained her composure and smiled at him again, “I’ll definitely do that, Max. Uhm, if you don’t mind me asking, what happened when you were skydiving? Why can’t you spar because of it? You look fine to me.” More than fine really but I think I’ll keep that to myself, she thought, trying not to grin.

"Got smacked in to a tree by a gust of wind. Broke my arm and a few ribs. I just never got round to sparing after that." well it was a half truth he did hit a tree or two on the way down and it should of killed him or at least he should not of walked away like nothing had happened. He started to take the gloves out of the box and handed them to Amara. "we better see if they fit you first" he handed them to her his eyes locked on hers. HE was starting to wonder if she was interested in him, but some one like her was probaly taken by one of these Mr popular types who every one like but were but were happy to pick on people who were difrent.

Amara’s jaw dropped, “Oh my God, that’s horrible! Didn’t the doctor tell you to exercise and use your arm to help it?” She looked at his arm, come to think of it, it looked fine, not a scratch on it. She raised one brow at him, it was only for a split second. Some of what he was saying was really adding up. And she didn’t think that he’d just create a story to impress her when it ended with him not being able to do something. She looked at the gloves only briefly, her gaze had soon been caught by Max’s. “Thank you,” she smiled, “Uh, my names Amara, I feel like it’s only right that you know mine since you introduced yourself.” She smiled up at him, her arms removed from the counter top.
She gently grabbed the gloves and tried them on. Amara grinned toothily, “Not to sound like a bad pun, but they fit like a glove.” She chuckled at her own joke, staring at the gloves. Her hands were itching for a punching bag. She smiled at the thought, “These are great I’ll take them. I can’t wait to test these out at the mansion.” She playfully pulled her arms up like she was going to start a fight. She giggled and pulled them down, trying to suppress her smile at least a little bit. She removed the gloves and set them down on the counter.

mansion? she was rich wow his luck may be in. " yeah he did still use the bike and other stuff just never got round to it." god was he going to do this? He looked up at the time. " i am meant to be getting off in the next few minutes if you want we could go and test out these new gloves of yours? Tell you what i will even throw in my staff discount." he still had his gym membership not that he used it. Was he going to risk every thing all that he been hiding for a girl well it looked like he was. His hart was racing it was a strange feeling almost alien nothing made his hart race like this.

Amara looked at him. His eyes had this honesty about them that made her draw herself closer. And she unconsciously did. She could smell his scent now, having no idea if it was cologne or just him, whatever it was she liked it. A lot. She bit her lip before saying, “I couldn’t let you use your discount, I should pay the full price like anyone else. But I’d love to try them out with you.” She grinned, brushing a strand of hair back from her face. She felt all giddy and her knees still felt wobbly, which made her wonder if they were ever going to be stable again. She thought for a moment, “We could try them out or we could go grab a coffee, it’s your choice really.”
Shit did I really just ask a total stranger out. A tiny voice in her head argued with the first thought, you don’t have to be strangers. She mentally groaned, shut up, stop mentally talking to yourself She waited, hardly breathing, for his reply.

"Coffee would be good." he smiled as he noticed the person who would take over from him walking in. "looks like i am free now and all yours once i changed my shirt." Good why was it so hard not to look at her? he stood there for a few minutes before he walked in to the back as the door started to close he removed his shirt. he looked around the room to find his own shirt slowly he put it on. While he was in the back he could hear the other staff member taking Amara's cash.
HE walked out. his shirt was one of those that showed of his body and a dark blue. "I think there a place across the street. He picked up her back and opened the door. "shall we?"

Amara’s heart skipped a beat when he agreed to go. She didn’t suppress her smile, “Okay.” She clipped her smile a little to try and hide her thoughts, all mine? Now that sounds too tempting to be good. She grinned and watched him leave. Just as the door started to close she could see his back becoming exposed, it was all she could do to hold herself up.
Get a grip! Seriously? She thought as the new guy came in to take care of her purchase. He wasn’t as aesthetically appealing as Max. She noted that with smile toward the new cashier. Max soon came back out to the front. Her eyes took in the new shirt he put on and the new way his muscles looked in it. This is going to be nice, she thought as he took her bag, “Thank you.” She walked through the door, he’s certainly a gentleman. But for how long? That little voice in her head countered her previous thought. She almost stopped dead as she walked towards the coffee shop with Max, That’s right, he doesn’t know that I'm a mutant…what if that changes everything? Well I’ll brave that bridge when I come to it, which will probably be soon.
Occasionally her hand would brush against Max’s sending little sparks skittering across the place where it touched her skin. She felt that giddiness rise up in her once again. She took a deep breath. The coffee shop was fast approaching.

Every time Amara hand brushed his he felt a pulse. he would of blushed but that would of meant his body changing which it was unable to do. He wondered how it would work with his brain would it be effected by old age? Hell what would she say if she found out he was a mutant. she probably run a mile. truth be told he did not blame her at all. He strolled towards the coffee shop.
"so Amara what." how to bring anything up he was not very good at this sort of thing. He ran his hand threw his hair and started again. "What is it you do with your self? I heard you mention a mansion early must be nice to stay in a place like that. I have a two room bed sit above the store." it meant that he was always the first to be called in when some one was ill or some thing but teh rent was cheap."

She felt surprisingly comfortable around Max, like being around him was natural. She smiled at the thought. There was still that one test, if he’d accept her for being a mutant. Since Alcatraz, there was still that air of un-acceptance floating around. She’d occasionally hear it when she went out, much like she was doing now, and most of the time it was on the TV.
She ignored those thoughts for the time being. She mentally kicked herself for mentioning the mansion so loosely in public. She looked up at him, nonchalantly she said, “I’m a student. That mansion I mentioned is where all the students stay and go to class, like a boarding school.” She finished the sentence just as she had come to the door. “It’ll be my last year there….” She said the last thing in a sort of wistful manner. She grinned up at him and grabbed the handle of the door opening it easily.
She loved the smell of coffee and she absolutely loved coffee itself. She eagerly walked to the counter and ordered a large cup of coffee. She looked back at Max, “A place of your own? Sounds heavenly.” Truth be told she was getting tired of all the people at the mansion, sure she loved the school and the students in it she just felt like she wanted to branch off.

"Its not that grate its small should really look for some place bigger. The biggest problems is when work needs some one else i am just upstairs. I use to stay in the university halls but i left so needed some were to live and work." HE smiled as he walked in to coffee shop lucky they were not much of a Que. They placed there order and found a seat. So she was at a boarding school. Well that was O.K. If he was honest he did not care she was an interesting woman and there was some thing drawing him to her. he could not help but keep his eyes on her.
"that must be harsh you ever get any peace with others there?" it was true he knew what that was like. "its one of the reasons i left the halls i could never get any work done at all no mater how hard i tried as every week end my room mate drunk him self in to a coma."
