It was so sad watching as Rogue's face fell, when she learned Bobby couldn't ride, It hurt Bobby. Bobby could tell Rogue liked it here, so he had an idea, "We could learn to ride together." Bobby thought it was a great idea, he'd do most anything to hang out with Rogue.

Bobby could tell Rogue was lost in thought, so Bobby got up close to her and let her think, but something was nagging at Bobby, he wanted to know why they'd broken up, Bobby didnt think Rogue knew about kitty, but Bobby didn't want to ruin the moment. Finally Bobby had to ask, "What ever happened to us?" As soon as Bobby asked he regretted it.

Rogue smiled softly at Bobby. He could be so sweet sometimes.

"Yeah, that would be fun."

She responded softly. She glanced back at the horses, watching as a black mare galloped around the paddock with her bay foal leaping around beside her. It was such a cute sight. Her attention was diverted though when Bobby spoke again, asking her what happened to them. She glanced at him, a guarded expression upon her face before looking back out at the horses. She sighed softly as a sad look fell upon her face.

"The night ah went to get the cure, just before it, ah saw ya and Kitty. Ah took the cure hoping it would make ya want me again, but a few weeks after ah realised maybe we just weren't meat to be. Ya and Kitty really seemed to like each other, and as much as ah wanted to hate the both of ya, ah couldn't. Ah couldn't be selfish and keep ya around when ya can't even touch me. It would be selfish and unfair to ya. Besides, Kitty is more suited for ya anyway. Ah see the way you two look at each other."

Rogue's words hurt, it hurt that it was his fault, and that she chose sadness for what she perceived as his happiness, and it hurt to know she had the wrong idea about it.

"Rogue I'm so sorry, so sorry that happened, and so sorry I made you feel that way. But what you don't know is my side of the story; Back in those days I was naive, I couldn't read women, and I never thought that if I was overly nice to Kitty, you could see it differently, or that she could fall for me. I was caught completely off guard by that kiss, and then you left. As soon as I heard you had gone for the cure I rushed to the city to stop you, but I was too late, and then you broke up with me, and Kitty was the only friend I had left." It Hirt Bobby to talk about it, Rogue was the second person who had heard that whole story, Pyro had heard parts, Kitty knew others, and Xavier knew it all.

"Its fine Bobby. Ah don't hold it against ya, and we're friends, so ya don't just have Kitty left."

Rogue responded softly, not wanting Bobby to be hurt. She did hope though that he did learn from his mistakes. If she hadn't cared about Bobby so much, and be so understanding due to her ability, what he did would have hurt her a lot more then it did. As it was, she couldn't blame him. Her ability made it unable for her to touch others or others to touch her. It was to be expected she couldn't have a normal relationship or any type of romantic relationship. Touching was half of a relationship like that, and so she supposed it was doomed in the beginning. Still, it had been nice whilst it had lasted. Rogue would always care about Bobby but she couldn't put him through a relationship with her. Rogue just wasn't that selfish.

It hurt Bobby when Rogue didn't respond at all to the story he'd just told, Bobby had expected that when the girl who thought her powers ha pushed them apart heard that he had followed her to the clinic and tried to stop her from getting the cure, it was like one of those romantic airport scenes, but she had already boarded the plane. But Rogue was back her powers were back, but she'd moved on while Bobby had stayed, and now they were friends.

"I know that now, now I can see we cam be friends, but back then I felt heartbroken and alone."
