Ray was hungry, so he'd headed down to the Kitchen for a late night snack. It was really late so Ray wasn't too worried about being seen and stared at, in fact he was just in a red tee and jeans, he wasn't wearing his hood for once.
Ray sat in the dark kitchen and fiddled in the corner eating a peanut butter and nutella sandwich. The sandwich was delicious and Ray loved being alone, but he was sure it wouldn't last.

Beck closed her eyes, as she sat in her room. she could feel her belly rumbling as she chewed her pencil. slowly she opened her eyes. she looked up at the mirror " well looks like i should get some thing to eat!" with that she picked up her hat and placed it on her head. With a puff of green mist she was at the kitchen door. She flicked the lights on as walked in. She saw Ray sitting by the fridge and let out a scream.
"oh my god i am sorry sorry i did not mean to do that. I did not think that any one would be here and with you siting in the dark and all that i totally got a shock. That looks nice what is it?" Mist walked over to the fridge and started to get out some things to make her self a meal. " i am Becky by the way but most people call me mist. Its nice to meat you." she started to make the sandwich.
"You Are the first Mutant i seen who dose look completely different the most i have seen was a tail before. That was only a small one not that large in the grand scale of thing and well he was chased out of town for being different so what did yous ay your name was?"

Ray heard the girl a moment before she came in, which was odd because usually he could hear and smell people from farther away, it was almost like she had just appeared at the door. Ray didn't even have time to hide before the girl came in and screamed, Ray was ashamed, he was a monster, he wanted to hide.
As the girl came closer Ray ducked under the table, he didn't want to talk, he was a monster, why didn't he where his hood, he'd scared the poor girl, he should have known that other people don't have night vision and need the light to see, he should have turned on the light, he was so stupid.
The girl kept talking to Ray, kept asking questions, wasn't she afraid, why was she talking to him, what was going on, all Ray wanted to do was run back to his room and hide.

"you dont talk much do you? Thats ok not every one is a chatty person. My friend Emily did not ay much in fact at times i wondered if she knew how to speak at all. But she did answer and ask question some people only talk when they have to thats ok. I dont think i seen you in any classes at all. Which is odd because i am taking as many as i can fit in. Luckily with my powers i have the ability to get from one place to another in seconds. So i don't have to worry about classes next to each other."
She finished making her sandwich and started to eat. "would you like some thing to drink. I think there some ginger beer in the fridge." with a puff of green smoke she vanished and appeared next to the fridge. she looked in it. " no there is none i will be back in a seven seconds." with that she vanished and a few moments came back with to bottle of ginger beer. " here you go i had two in my fridge in my room." she offered him the cold bottle.

The girl just wouldn't stop talking, and she talked so fast. One moment the girl would talk about her friend the next school, it was like her mind ran at a mile a minute. Ray sat there stunned the girl was intimidating, all Ray wanted to do was eat in peace. One thing that intrigued Ray was the fact that she didn't care what he was.
Ray knew why the girl hadn't seen him at classes, as a guest and brotherhood member Ray wasn't required at any classes, though he had taken one or two classes. The girl mentioned her powers, which explained why he hadn't sensed her approach.
As fast as the girl had arrived she disappeared, she'd ported off for soda or something. A few moments she was back and offering Ray soda, why was she so nice to Ray? Ray took the soda, he even put on a smile, "Thanks."

"you dont talk to much do you? i dont think you have even told me your name yet?" mist smiled back softly and warmly. " Thats ok i dont mind at all. Not every one wants to tell there names a lot of people round here use code names for one reason or another. I think its because people make us feel different so we call our self some thing different to stand and and show them that they think of us as different so we embrace the fact we are different. Since i was about 12 people have called me Mist i dont know why i have not had my powers for very long. I dont know why they called me it maybe its my relaxed personality i just float along like mist but it dose kind of link with my powers and is much nicer than instant Trans location girl and a lot quicker to say. Then there would be the problem of calling me Instant trans location woman when i am older. Which is even longer but you could shorten it down to I.T.W or I.T.G sounds like some kind of technology company or some multi conglomerate. SO i think i will keep with mist."
In truth the name mist was given to her as a Insult to show that she had nothing but mist in her head but like every thing else mist took it as a complement and embraced it which gave the bully's more amusement than any thing else.
