Xavier sat in the war room he ran over some files it was time to start getting the next generation of X men ready. They would be training and that was it. For now he knew they would take the place of the team they have now but he did not want to rush them. If Cable was right then they would be needed. He rub his hands over his face and started the power up the computers. He started to load the files in to it as he waited for the others to come in.
He had asked captain America and cable to join this meeting as they had been the ones training bobby was the new team leader and then rouge as she knew the students as head of the students. he just hoped that theycould pick the pest team possible.

After a strenous workout in the danger room, which consisted of her facing off to Sabertooth and Mistique on her own ( unknowing they were her biological parents ), Rogue picked up Xavier's message to meet him in the War Room. So today was the day she would help Xavier and Bobby get the Xmen 'in training' team up to shape. Well, that was what Rogue named them. Rogue had no intention of ever stopping being an Xmen though. She never wanted to stop. As long as she could breathe she would be one. After all, she had nothing else. Biting her bottom lip Rogue darted up to her room where she took a quick shower before getting dressed. Making sure every inch of her body was covered Rogue then made her way to the basement level and into the War Room. Spotting Xavier in the room with no one else she gave him a polite smile before sitting beside him. At least she wasn't late.

I set a course for winds of fortune But I hear the voices say Carry on my wayward son There'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more. ---------------------------- Steve wasn’t sure why Charles had wanted to have him in the meeting to discuss the new x men team when he hadn’t been at the school with them for very long but he supposed that Charles had just wanted more help in picking the team but in Steve’s opinion because of the fact that Steve would have let people who had been in the x men pick the team rather than an outsider. Arriving at the room he sat in a chair and waited for Charles to say something.

cable strolled in with a smug look on his face. today had been a rather productive day provadance was working well. every thing was going the way he wanted it to and he needed to put the next part of the plan in place and this meeting was going to help. he nodded at the others as he walked in. he looked at the others and slowly sat down at teh table. he wondered who they were going to pick and he hoped that some of the ones he needed to be trained would be.
HE smiled of course they would be it was history. They had a destiny and he was going to push them along so they would be ready for the war weather they wanted to or not. It was life and he was tired of playing small it would soon be time to act big.

Logan had heard wind of a meeting in the war room about the next X team. So the old one was being over used and they needed new faces for the media to glote over and trigger on as bad guys. Least the presure would be taken of Logan at least, so he hoped. Never one for media, and perhaps no more flying in the Jet. Grabbing a sandwich from the Kitchen he headed to the war room.
By time he was there his snack was gone, weather Xavier wanted him for sure there or not he was going to be. Entering the room he seen Rogue sitting by Xavier, out of curtacy he smiled at her. Today he hoped she wouldn't jump up and hug him, he wasn't in the mood. Then there was to other guys, one he recognized as Captain America, and the other he hadn't formaly been introduced to. Saying nothing he grabbed a seat farthest away from everyone and sat down, a bit lazy recline look, he debated on propping his feet up on the table.

Xavier looked at the people who were here. Bobby must of been running late or had forgoten about this meet ether way it was not a good sign. he looked at every one here. " We all know why we are here. some of us are not getting any younger and one day." he cleared his throat. "one day i will not be here and we need to prepare for the future generations. The world is changing so we will start to train the next generation of x men. They will only be training for the future i do not want to put any ones life in danger.
The world is changing and we may be at risk. We are all people of the world and we knew this day would come. Now if there are no questions we will start." he did not wait to see if any one had any questions. A hologram of the first student came up an image of Faith came up.
"this is our first candidate Faith Logan you would probably be best to comment on her as she is your daughter. She had had training in combat from both cable and Captain America so what are all your thoughts."

Bobby entered the room his arms laden with the folders that contained information on each of his candidates. There were nine in total, some he was sure were ready, others he had some issue with, but was sure they'd be okay in the future. Some of the kids were students, others were grads, and a few were just staying here.
Bobby came in and sat down next to Rogue, "I have here the files in, or some notes on, 9 people I feel would be ready for the team, after some training: Amara a thermokinetic, Faith Logan's daughter, Max Smith is indestructible, Aless a hydrokinetic, Max Paige a shapeshifter, AJ an electrokinetic, Daemon a telekinetic, Aubrey a pyrokinetic, and Nick an arourokinetic."

Rogue really wanted to go over to Logan and give him a hug. However by the look in his eyes he didn't seem to be in a good mood. Biting her bottom lip she stayed sat where she was as everyone else filed in. She stayed silent. Rogue glanced over at Xavier as he began speaking. She did her best not to flinch as Faith was brought up, especially since she was known as 'Logan's daughter'. It was times like these she wanted to crawl under a rock. Either that or find her own biological parents. She missed having a parent. She forced herself out of her thoughts as Bobby came in with multiple files. There seemed to be a lot of 'kinetic' mutants around. She was particularly hesitant about the pyrokinetic since it reminded her of John and how she had failed him. Still, a new team would be needed eventually for her and Bobby to run, perhaps, so they had to look at all the mutants that are around in the mansion.
"Its only a suggestion, but perhaps we should see the candidates in solo simulations in the danger room. There we could assess their potential - all of us - instead of speculating here."

I set a course for winds of fortune But I hear the voices say Carry on my wayward son There'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more. ---------------------------- Steve watched as to his amazement Cable walked into the room as he hadn’t really seen the man much since he had been working at the school so the fact that Charles trusted him enough to have him in the meeting but they had not believed his methods had been right to teach children and had gotten Steve instead had been something that had surprised him. He wasn’t surprised when Logan joined them. Logan like himself was a war horse and a general that was able to fight better than many people and he would be able to give a lot of thought and insight many couldn’t.
When Charles began speaking and mentioned the first student Steve instantly looked at Logan, he had seen the girl fight and she was amazing something for Logan to truly be proud of and that he should have been glad that she had been able to defend herself the way that she had, but at the same time she was Logan’s daughter and surely the decision laid with him.
Then another man that Steve had yet to meet walked in late and cut across Charles as he spoke, the younger man seemed to think that they would stop what they had been doing just to listen to him and then agree with him probably was something that instantly rubbed Steve the wrong way.
“Well we had been talking about Logan’s daughter, when we all turned up on time.” Steve said dryly to the man before turning to Charles. “the girl can fight, I would say that she would be a good member for the team, any team but I think her only weakness is a her age and that she is 16 and she wouldn’t be allowed to enlist in the military on that standpoint and secondly from what I understand she has problems with her emotions other than that I see no problem with her.”

"she a good choice. she lacking social skills and friends so a team my help with her socal life in fact it would give her one. show her how people should live and that there is more to fighting. Combat skills are next to none in the students she would make a grate selection."
He watched as bobby came in and tried to make him self the center of the room. he wondered how long he would last leading the team like this. A week or two before he is dead or caused soem one else to die because of it. The question was, was bobby ready?

(I only came in late because I stated I'd be as active as possible, and I was told there was no rush in my posting.) The meeting was not going well, Bobby had assumed that the professor would have informed the others that he was organizing things, and would be the new leader, but apparently not seeing as the captain seemed to be offended by the fact Bobby had taken command of the meeting, and they had started without him. "Well Captain, I was asked to hand pick candidates for this team, so maybe you shouldn't have started discussing candidates before you had the list I compiled with Rogue's help. I agree with everything you've said about Faith, so if you don't mind could we please move on to some of the others."

"yes you were bobby but the choice will be every ones and there is some people that we may add who is not on your list and some may be rejected because of power bases or the fact they are not Emotionally ready to take on some of the responsibility of this role. That is what we are trying to work out. Now here is the next individual." he typed some thing in and the image shimmered and the young girl mist appeared.
"this is Becky Anderson A young mutant with the power of teleportation. She is smart but he is naive and a caring soul i do not know if she would be suitable for this kind of team. her ablity to move them from A to B could be an assets." he looked at the others to see what it was they thought of the young girl.

Rogue sighed deeply as her suggestion was entirely ignored. It felt like she was even being ignored. She ran a hand through her crimson hair as everyone else discussed Faith before moving onto the next girl. All without even acknowledging her. She supposed she was used to it by now. She would have thought with her new position she wouldn't be so invisable, but it appeared even that didn't matter. So, Rogue stayed silent as they moved on, not even considering her suggestion. She glanced up briefly at the hologram of the next student. Becky. She had seen her file whilst looking over the entire student body. She seemed nice. Then again she hadn't interacted with the girl yet, so she hadn't seen her flinch in fear of her ability yet. Since no one seemed to notice she was even there, Rogue decided to stay silent. She wasn't going to make waves, and she doubted her opinion mattered anyway. Just let the big boys get on with it. Her mind said, with several of the psyches in here pretty much agreeing the same thing with very poor language directed at Rogue.

Bobby knew that the choice wouldn't be completely his, but the Captain shouldn't have responded to Bobby like that. Bobby was a strong believer, that everyone he'd picked despite their emotional issues only needed a little structure and leadership. Daemon was a show off, and had issues with knowing his place, but having a real place and a team that knew what he could do would help ground him. The others were similarly able.
Mist was someone that Bobby had considered but he wasn't sure she'd work well or would want to. "Becky is an air head from what I've seen, I'm not so sure she'd be the most reliable team member, and maybe Rogue can back me up on this, but from what I've overheard she more wants to learn to control her powers than to fight evil."

Cable smiled at rouge thoughts " You see Rouge its not about what they can do on there own. The X men is a team effort not a solo mission." he could not help but laugh as they brought up mist. "she smart i will give her that but her skills set is more for accountancy or Admin. I would give her an hour with Faith before she wanted to rip Miss Anderson tongue out. From what i know of her she dose not stop talking for anything."
he felt bad that no one had answered rouge question but this was important. "i think i dry fish would have a better use on the team than Mist so for me its a NO"
