I set a course for winds of fortune But I hear the voices say Carry on my wayward son There'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more. ---------------------------- Steve was somewhat surprised how the mutants talked about one of their own, he had not met Becky Anderson but he felt that she had been spoken about quite harshly, also they had suggested the girl only to have her be harshly spoken to and treated, Steve didn’t know why it was the case but he didn’t like in the slightest as it wouldn’t be how he picked his own team, he would have assessed all of the people that could have been problems already and weeded them out before bringing them before others as Miss Anderson wasn’t able to defend herself at the time and it seemed unfair to her, also she wanted to control her powers rather than fight a war there didn’t seem to be anything wrong with that.
“Miss Anderson might benefit from the training though, at the end of the day she is a teenage girl and not a warrior, unlike Faith they both have weaknesses socially Faith is not good around people, Becky is too good around people opposite ends of the spectrum but both still need work,” Steve said before turning to Rogue and speaking. “Although I believe you may have a point myself and cable have had a session with many of the students we are reviewing recently so we have a lot of the information that we need anyway, but I do think another session might help us pick the final team.”
Then he turned to Bobby who had spoken to him but hadn’t really made a lot of sense, Steve had been talking about the fact that Bobby had just cut across Charles who was meant to have the respect of the younger man yet he had not apologised or not acknowledged that when he had defended himself.
“I was meaning more the fact that you took us away from what Charles had wanted to do to make yourself feel important with you list,” he said “I have not been here long you cannot just throw names at me and expect me to know who those people are that is why we are doing it this way, it is a quicker and easier method rather than getting nine names or ten names to go yes or no to, this is something you have to do as a leader it is not about getting a team together fast so that you can be ready it is getting a strong team that we know will be able to fight on a moment’s notice, do you believe other than Faith you have anyone that could do that?”

"Miss Anderson is not an air head Bobby she has an I.Q of approximatively 120 and is a member of MENSA, she also knows Pie to ten decimal places which is more than i do. She is gifted and her power would be best suited for this roll but her personality would not fit her in to a combat team if she was to do anything with the x men it would have to be on the information side of the team.
The next individual is Amara Aquilla. or Magma she is one of the few class fives with in the school." the image of Magma appeared up with an impressive list of powers and skills. " she has been training for this of years. She was involved with my rescue and all though she was shot she handled her self well. I think she would make a good choice for the team."
He did not get involved in caps comments to bobby. It was a good peace of advice and maybe he would may be arange for the two to have a sit down so Bobby could learn from him.

Bobby decided not to respond to what the Captain had to say, Bobby had done his research, he had observed students and other mutants, analyzed their strengths and weakness, as well as their interest in serving on a team when they were done at the school. Why had Charles asked him to do this if he was just going to go every student anyway?
Bobby knew the Captain, Cable, and Charles were important and had good insite, and he may have rushed into things a little, and it was better to be on their good side for this meeting, Bobby needed to show that he was respectful and could back down. "Before this goes on I'd just like to say I'm sorry if I seemed rude, or self centered, that wasn't my intention."
"I see no reason why Amara shouldn't be on the team, she is powerful and has already Graduated from the school. I also knew that Mrs Anderson was intelligent, but she portrays herself as an air head, and she seems to have no interest in serving on the team, though I agree she'd make a useful resource, or coordinator."

Rogue sighed, exasperated. She was starting to feel exactly like she had with Pyro. She could feel the power simmering, seeping from its cage to the fore front of her mind. She didn't want to loose it like she had with Pyro, but it was very hard to find any way to calm herself down not to. Feeling Magneto poking at the barrier, she sighed, and for once relented, letting Magneto come to the fore front of her mind. Confidence instantly poured through her, and within seconds she had stood up, with metal quivering at her call. This time, Rogue noticed what was going on.
"Enough!"
She exclaimed, looking at everyone in the room, before speaking again. Magneto helped to magnify her voice and make it exude power and authority. Mentally, she gave her thanks to him. For once he was helping.
"No one is listening to anyone in this room, especially me. Ah not a little kid. Ah have been through and seen more then most of ya have. Ah have seen memories of people, terrors, that would scar most people, and yet here ah am. Now, ah am gonna explain meh point of view again. Now, sitting here, gossiping like children, shouting over one another is not going to choose a good team. Cable, you did not even understand what a benefit a danger room solo session for each person, can be. We will be able to see where they are at physically, without powers, then with powers, and then when emotionally provoked. Ah am sure we all know or have experienced how emotional attacks can cloud the mind. Can any of you say one hundred per cent that any of the candidates, can withstand that? Logan, what if someone called Faith a rabid, feral, beast? Would she be able to reign in her anger and be able to see through it, to notice strageties, weaknesses, and such? No one knows this! We cannot even say every single one of us knows the same candidate in and out, let alone enough to form any kind of opinion. This is ridiculous. Ah for one, don't even know most of these people besides from files. Who has interacted with every single one of them and long enough to know the person as deeply as they should to form an opinion? Ah bet none of you can."
Rogue exclaimed, before taking a deep breath. She finally letted her power to slowly evaporate, the metal no longer shaking, as she closed her eyes. When she opened them she looked at them all before speaking again.
"Ah am sorry for my outburst, but it had to be said, and ah will not apologise for what ah said. However, if ya all continue to gossip about people ya don't even know, shouting over each other, ignoring each others views when said, and not even noticing when someone has not said anything, then ah refuse to be a part of this. Ah didn't go through all the taunting, the ridicule over my power, and have to tolerate it, only to be the only to do it to people ah don't even know."

cable fought back the urge to kill rouge were she stood. "trust me you have not seen the worst of it Rouge. We are talking about War Rouge, Thats what we are sending these kids to a war zone. No we cant say we know them all and every thing about them. Thats what makes this simpler. Captain america will tell you its some times harder to pick a team if you know them personally. I know enough about some of them more than you do for that matter including you."
With that he closed his eyes and then reopened them another Image of Amara appeared this time older and in an X men uniform "Magma Member of the new mutants then the x men she saves the world at least five times according to the history books. Her powers are more than most of us in this room could Handel. hell she at her hight might even be a match for me. She one of the best to come out of this school."
he watched as rouge threw her strop. "we have no choices they need to be ready Lycan and Magma are perfect because of what they will become.

(Sorry I been missing out. Comp has been hay wire lately, Trojans stopping me from getting on internet. Hopefully it's fixed for now.) Logan had been sitting and observing most of the time, not saying anything and thinking nothing to drastic. Xavier brought up Faith, it pleased him to hear the compliments about her, to bad it hadn't been him to train her. She'd been tortured throughout her life and forced to be a killng machine against her natural will. Forced to have no natural social life, why would anyone want to anyway...his opinion.
Then dear little Bobby entered the room, some reason he reminded him of Scott by he was acting. Oh great not another Cyclops. It amuzed Logan at Captains and Cables reactions to Bobby, and the boy just fed back giving them more to pick on him about. Bobby probably could learn from Captain. Xavier seemed unphased by their bicker, man seemed passive at times letting others decifer their quarls as they naturally should without complaint or interference. By Rogue body language Logan could tell she was getting frustrated by the guys. Why wasn't there another woman in the room? Were pickings that low? Normally there were more female professors, Ororo and Jean at least.
They were on the third canidate, Amara, level five impressivem she knew her stuff and could handle it. Logan raised an eyebrow, by now his feet were propped up on the table his seat tipped back on two legs as Rogue did an out burst. Bold....metal was shaking, tingles coursed through his metalic bones. He naturally glanced around for magneto, at times it gave Logan a creepy sensation at how Rogue's mutation acted.
Finally butting in Logan barked out, "Eh now, Rogue has a point, but I'd say only have a one on one with the ones we see most qualified and probable. If some fail what we hope try out some of the secondaries. As for Faith, I agree her skills and powers are well honed in, but sadly I'd be afraid she'd go feral easily on a team mate that would be talkative or annoying. I'm working with her on that. Socially though she has far to go and that could be her dangerous part. If media show'd up and crowded her she just might get pissed out enough to show her claws.....that's not a good thing." He paused, he was saying alot unordinary for him.
"I agree if Mist is wanting to control her powers better first then let her. It'd be safer for the team, if she'd unsure or unstable with her powers then she could harm or hinder the team. Being unsure and weak is not good. And for emotion on all of them, that crap sucks and will set anyone off or back if hitting the right buttons. Amara by far seems most qualified, hell I'd even give a go fighting with the woman. " He had eyed up her figure in the hologram, "She as well could be a good help at leading the younger ones and helping out Rogue and Bobby. Most the mutants should most likely be pretty stable with their powers and know what they are doing. A test in the danger room before they are offically chose is not a bad idea." Logan had glanced at them all and now looked to Xavier. His mind block was only up to anyone but Xavier, all thoughts prior to his words were as easy to read as an open book, thats the only thing a telepathic could do to him no controlling.

Bobby cringed against Rogue's assault, Bobby could tell tensions were high, and part if it was probably his fault. Rogue was right a Danger Room session would be benneficialSo, but Bobby believed that all team members should undergo one now, and all the maybe's should undergo one after training.
Magma was a yes, obviously, so now it was time to move on to the next choice. Bobby hoped the Captain wouldn't mind if Bobby chose the next candidate to discuss. Bobby fiddled with the controls at his seat, and brought up the information on Nicholas Barton. "This is Nick Barton, also known as DarkLight, he is a more recent graduate of the school with the power to manipulate and create solid objects from light and shadow. Nick has two additional personalities in his head, but as part of his time here he has learned to control them, and now though they try to take over, both are simply an annoyance, one that he is easily able to work through."

"Personally i do not know. The fact that he has multiple personality disorder could be a problem i feel that his personality are at odds with him and may use the chaos of a mission to gain a foot hold. The only problem there is no way to know. He has managed to hold them in control and is near being able to remove them.
I think when he gains full control over them and manges to merge them in to his own personality completely I think in long run he could be an assets to any team, the question should be is the long term benefits worth it?" Xavier was trying his best to stear the selection on and not digress to much but it was hard. He was listening to what they had all said but it was hard for them all to agree on some of them they been lucky up till now.
