Alex was bored, that had been why he had gone to the basketball court, he had figured that it would have been best because of the fact that Scott wasn’t there and he had wanted some time to himself, he had put a notice by the dining room that he was going to try and get a game going and that anyone who wanted to be involved would be welcome but he had doubted that anyone would have been interested with what had been going on recently not that he would blame them but it just showed how good a guy Alex was because of the fact that he had wanted to help and at the same time he liked sport which was another benefit.
Going out onto the court with a pair of dark blue shorts he began bouncing the ball and taking shots from around the court, so far there was no one else around but he got the feeling that there would be more soon.

You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ It had been a few days since Sky was brought to this mansion, and she didn’t know how to fit in yet. She wasn’t quite a mutant, but she wasn’t human either. The guy who brought her here, she hadn’t seen since. So she decided to finally check out the grounds in the daylight today, as she had been making her rounds at night just to be on the safe side. And to keep the students and staff safe from whatever vampires that were roaming around. So far, there were none. She had put on her dark shade sunglasses to keep her sight safe out in the bright sun, and put on a tee shirt and a pair of jeans. She made her outfit complete not with combat boots, but with tennis shoes. She so did not look like the executioner that she was, and the outfit was not the same one she had worn days earlier as she executed a small nest of vampires.
Her heightened hearing picked up the sound of a ball bouncing as she approached the basketball court. A familiar scent hit her nostrils, as well as a familiar heartbeat. It was the guy who brought her to this place, and she sighed. She hadn’t seen or talked to him since he dropped her off and disappeared. She eyed his backside as he dribbled and shot the ball into the basket from around the court. She only leaned against the fence just inside the gate and said nothing until he noticed her. Truth be told, she felt slightly naked without her beloved weapon with her, but one of the staff members told her that she would have to leave it locked up for safety purposes. ”Care for a friendly game?” She called out to him still not advancing toward the playing area.

It was just what Lorna needed. A quick run out on the school grounds to clear her head, release some stress, and give her a chance to really think. When Lorna first came to the school, her powers weren’t controlled. She was afraid of hurting herself, afraid of hurting others, thankfully Xavier’s school was able to help her control that and now she was able to pass on some of Xavier’s teachings to all of the others young students who were just like her. Lorna could see the school as she jogged up the large yard heading towards it. Her hair was tied back in a pony tail and her body was pushing its way to make it to its final destination. Lorna was there, so her pace changed down to a light walk, but as she got closer to the school she could hear the activity that was all around it. She walked right beside the large fence that kept the basketball area closed in from the yard and as she looked over, she couldn’t help but notice there was two people in it. It was a young girl, she had seen her around recently but never really got a chance to talk to her or introduce herself, and then there was Alexander Summers. He was another person that Lorna didn’t get the chance to talk to that often. She had seen him around as well and every so often in passing give him a greeting in some way, but never before did she ever get a chance to really talk to him before. Lorna quickly looked back straight ahead to where she was going. She didn’t want to disrupt their conversation, but not saying hi would be rude. Lorna laughed a little to herself at how silly she was being over such a small matter. As she got a bit closer to them along the fence she looked over to the two and gave them a bright smile. “Hello Mr. Summers.” She said to get their attention and then a bright smile over to the young woman she didn’t know yet. “You two enjoying the nice day we’re having?”------------- Outfit: THIS

Alex hadn’t been expecting Skylar to join him on the court simply because of the fact that he didn’t know what to expect from the young woman added in with the fact that she was a daywalker made him think that basketball would be something that she wouldn’t have been interested in, he had thought that it would have been more the likes of Bobby or some of the new mutants that would have been interested in basketball than a young woman that had the powers of a vampire, of course at the same time that didn’t really mean a thing because of the fact that she was clearly qualified with her abilities to be able to play the sport, but at the same time that didn’t mean that he had been expecting her to want to, yet he would let her if she wanted to. Tossing the ball he nodded and spoke “Show me what you got.” He said
He was surprised when he saw Lorna running towards them. He hadn’t seen Lorna out today before now but it was something that he hadn’t been expecting to see, there was no denying that she looked pretty hot in the running outfit that she was wearing however Alex quickly shifted his gaze as he didn’t want to offend or upset Lorna in what he was doing, at the same time there was the fact that she could also probably crush him with the basketball hoop or something. “Hello miss Dane,” he said with a grin “my day is going well I was just trying to get a basketball game going for the students with what happened to Charles, to try and lighten the mood somewhat. You can play if you want?”

You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sky’s hearing had picked up another person’s approach. She had not met them so their heartbeat did not sound familiar. Nor did their scent smell familiar either. She turned her head to see a green haired woman jog towards them, and smile brightly at them. Being ever cautious of her surroundings, and those around her, she was always ready to defend herself and protect those humans who can’t do it themselves. She also knew that there was no telling who was a vampire familiar and who wasn’t without checking them over for house tattoos. But still she nodded her head in a cool and collected greeting of the woman when she was asked if she was having a nice day.
”Show me what you got.”
She caught the ball that was tossed at her without even looking to see where it was coming from. She knew how to play basketball, and with her abilities she could play it well. She rolled her eyes at him and watched him approach the woman, and had a deep feeling that Alexander liked her. She mentally shrugged her shoulders as she couldn‘t afford anything but friends and acquaintances in her line of work, and walked to the other end of the court. She stood facing toward the closest basket to her, and made sure that he was of course watching her. She seemed to carelessly throw the ball over her shoulder, when in fact it was a well placed aim, and began it’s sailing through the air before sinking it into the net. ”Does that cut it? Or do I need to do one from by the pool?” She called over him, and stood there with her arms crossed across her chest again.

Lorna made her way into the basketball court as Alex greeted her and explained to her why he was out trying to get a game started. It seemed that what had happened to the Professor was affecting everyone, but some people found other ways to cope with it. A slight smile found its way across Lorna’s lips and she couldn’t help but think about how kind it was for Alex to do that for all the students. “That’s…very thoughtful of you Mr. Summers.” Lorna said gently to him as she glanced over to him for a moment, smile still on her face, and then finally back to the other young lady just in time to see her shoot the ball from behind her and making the shot. It was very impressive and Lorna almost felt the need to clap for the fact that she could do that. “Wow! That was amazing.” She said with a bright smile on her face then looking back over to Alex. “Looks like you’ve finally met your match.” Lorna said to him in a sing-song voice, then walking over to where Skylar was standing. “Hi, I don’t believe we’ve met yet. I’m Lorna Dane.” She extended her hand out towards Skylar so that she could shake it. It seemed like the school was always growing with new students and members of the team and Lorna couldn’t be any happier to see that the good work that the Professor started was still alive and well with every young life that they helped. For that reason alone, Lorna was proud to be a part of the X-men.

Alex smiled at Lorna’s comments he hadn’t done it to try and get thanks or praise for it but the fact that someone had done so was something that he had been happy about, after all he hadn’t had to do it but he had done to try and help out, personally he would have rather hunted the bastard down and beaten him till he couldn’t stand but that wouldn’t help and he knew that Scott would have wanted him alive when he returned, Scott and Jean had said that they would be coming back but they didn’t say when which was the annoying thing and Alex hoped that it would be soon. “I just figured that I might be able to help out with that in this way, I am always reminded that I am not Scott so I did something Scott wouldn’t do.”
As he turned he saw Skylar’s shot fly through the hoop and he had to admit that he thought it was impressive but factor in the fact that she was a daywalker he should have expected such feats from her, at the same time he didn’t want Lorna to know that she was a daywalker without Skylar’s permission. Laughing at Lorna’s words he clapped. “That was like a one in a thousand shot, I bet you can’t take it from a three point shot stance though” he said he had only done it once from half court with cosmic energy behind it, the full court shot he doubted even she could do.

You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sky stood at the far end of the court, just watching the two behind her sunglasses. She shrugged her shoulders when the green haired lady said her shot was amazing. Her hearing picked up on the fact that she told Alex that he had met his match, and the way she said it had the young daywalker rolling her eyes. Then the older lady walked over and introduced herself as Lorna Dane, and extended her hand. Out of habit and experience in addition to her adoptive father’s responses, she looked her over carefully before taking her offered hand. She didn’t want to make a huge mistake that could cost her. She shook the hand and not to seem rude, she introduced herself as well. ”I’m Skylar Brooks. Everyone calls me Sky or Razor.” She answered Lorna, in a tone that said she was indifferent to the situation. Which in fact she was, and it was something else she learned from Blade.
“That was like a one in a thousand shot, I bet you can’t take it from a three point shot stance though”
She turned to face him when she heard him clapped, and made the comment about her trying to make a shorter shot than what she had just done. She stared at him from behind her shades and raised an eyebrow. ”So you are saying that I can make a cross court shot, but not one closer to the freaking basket? Are you insane???” She demanded of him as she crossed her arms across her chest, insulted that he thought her abilities were that feeble and minute. He knew she could easily kill a large group of vampires only armed with her sword, and yet he doubted her making a measly three point shot after she sunk one from across the court without looking.
