Dressed in a casual white button shirt and jeans, Li knelt over the black plastic hardcase, slowly and carefully packing away the telescope he had set up earlier before the sun had begun to rise at his campsite in the Westchester county woods, only a mere half mile from Xavier's school. While essential to his cover story should he be found this far out into the woods, a highly unlikely possibility but one he couldn't rule out, Li nevertheless had come to enjoy using it to pass the time while he waited for the current situation to develop. While he knew that waiting was an integral part of the job he was currently performing and had learned to embrace patience long before he had ever earned the title of Reaper among the world's higher class politicians and underworld bosses, waiting was still something he didn't particularly have a taste for. Putting the last lense into the case and closing it, Li stood up and calmly returned to his tent to pull a small, compact laptop from his bag. Turning it on and noting that the robust battery was now down to only a quarter, Li quickly sifted through the various menus until a new window opened up, showing a live video feed of the school from a small camera perched in one of the trees bordering the grounds, one of many feeding images to the laptop via secure wireless bursts. While he didn't really like the idea of working for any government agency, Li had to admit that they did give you the best kit and tech to work with, far beyond what most privately funded employers were able to afford. At the very least this place was somewhat warm - he'd been bitterly cold when they'd had him visit Alkali lake two and a half months ealier, and while things would have been much, much easier had he been able to find the information his employers had wanted there and then, this was almost like a vacation, or at least as close to one as he'd ever gotten. Seeing movement in one of the school's windows, Li zoomed in and opened up another window, this time two dossiers, one matching the girl that the camera was now focused on. While he hadn't gotten any answers in Alaska, his bosses had been able to give him two new leads, ones which he had been far from pleased to learn of. Had they been normal people Li wouldn't have minded in the least, and he would have finished this job over a month ago. The individuals in the dossiers, however, had warrented a much more cautious approach, something that Li would have exercised even if they had been out in the open, which was hardly the case here. Having not even considered asking them outright given how unlikely it was that they'd trust the government again, a feeling he could more than sympathize with, he'd been forced to watch from afar, waiting for a chance to grab one of them. He'd already ruled out the man as a possible target - from what Li knew, he would be incredibly difficult to take down and capture, even with Li's superior training and offensive abilities. Instead he had decided to target the girl, which while more difficult due to the security that the school offered was a much easier target than the former, and would likely be someone he could take down with relatively little trouble and effort. All in all, it now just wound down to a simple waiting game, something made all the more difficult by the fact that he'd killed as much time as possible in the first month through exhaustive preparations for when an opportunity finally did come. As she moved out of the camera's view Li leaned back and turned around from his sitting position, zipping the tent closed before switching to another camera feed to follow her movements through the mansion.

Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Faith was up in the mansion, cooling down from her vigorous workout that she like to partake in daily. It helped her through the night, even though she barely sleeps anyway. She approached the window to the room she was currently occupying, and automatically sniffed the air. She smelled something that set her off, and she clenched her fists. She smelled government, and she didn’t like that stench as much as her father did. Perhaps even more as she remembered exactly what the government had done to her, where as her father only had instinct to go on. So she decided to play it cool, just in case the owner of the scent was watching her. Her hearing picked up the whirling of cameras as she moved, and that only served to piss her off even more. She made it to a secure section of the mansion where she knew there wouldn’t be any prying eyes on her, and seemingly disappeared. Thanks to all her government training.
She made it to the fence totally unseen, and easily climbed it. She decided to let the camera’s be and landed softly on the other side with grace. She took a moment, and sniffed the air. The stench was indeed stronger now, and she had planned on telling whoever it was to back off. She carefully approached the origin of the scent, and asked the nearby animals to cover any noises she may make as she approached. She wanted the element of surprise on her side, and if she was discovered before she was ready to strike then she had no chance to do it. So she hoped that the local wildlife game would be willing to help her with that. She crept closer to the own of the stench, careful of making no noise what-so-ever. She was able to stand right behind him, observing him for a few moments and she grinned like she had done before she struck down her targets with one swipe. She was more than capable of doing it, but she didn’t want to kill any more. She was through with that part of her life.
Faith waited long enough to make him worry that he won’t find her in his cameras, before she made her move. She reached out her hand and gripped him tightly on his shoulder, ready for any attack that might be thrown at her. ”Sping on kids? You know that is against law. And I don’t take kindly to being watched without my permission either. So what do you want, government lackey?” She was ready for whatever he would throw at her for surprising. But she was better and faster, and she knew it.

As the girl moved on to a different room Li frowned slightly, his dead looking eyes narrowing slightly as he shifted the view between several cameras, unable to regain her position. It wasn't all that unusual, really - he'd been severely limited in what he'd been able to do in terms of camera placement since he'd been meticulous in avoiding detection, and he'd been unable to place cameras within the actual building. Nevertheless, Li was slightly annoyed by the inconvieniance and opened up a number of other windows on the laptop screen, all from cameras that were aimed at the same area from a multitude of different angles. He might not have been able to see into that exact area, but he'd at least be sure to reacquire the target as soon as she tried to leave. And find her they did, although he barely noticed it before she was out of view again, this time from a camera aimed at the school's perimeter. Li didn't at all like it - it was a major deviation from her usual routine, and he was even less pleased to see her stop and actually sniff the air. No, he wasn't liking this at all - the files he'd been given access to were obviously mistaken as to the full extent of her abilities, and he was beginning to think it may have been a better idea to have targeted Logan Howlette after all - a dangerous opponent, but a well known quantity whose powers were stable and already fully matured. Either way it didn't matter - she likely knew where he was given the purpose she seemed to be moving with as she disappeared from the cameras' view for good, straight for his camp. Putting the laptop down on the ground in front of him, Li suddenly noticed a presence in the camp that hadn't been there before - she was apparently much faster than he'd given her credit for as well. As he felt more than heard her open the tent Li decided he was through with making decisions based off of the information his employers had given him - they were obviously mistaken about a number of things, and had he not already quoted the price for his services and been paid in advance he would have seriously though about demanding a bigger paycheck then and there. It wasn't all bad, though - this was, in a way, exactly the opportunity he'd been looking for. It'd been extremely difficult and had tested the limits of his patience, but he no longer had to find a way to seperate her from her classmates and guardians - she had come right to him. She may have been his equal back in her prime, but he'd been fighting since he could remember, and if her abilities were on par with Wolverine's then he had very little to worry about. She may have been stronger physically, and impressive feat in and of itself, but he would be much, much faster that her in direct combat, and he would only need to land a single hit in order to completely paralyze her with his ability, assuming it didn't knock her unconscious then and there. Li was still running through the possible scenarios in his head, waiting for her first move when he felt her grab his shoulder, stunning him for the briefest of seconds at her sheer audacity and in his opinion, stupidity. She had no way to know he was a mutant himself, but in this day and age grabbing someone that you knew nothing about was an extremely foolish thing to do. It was all Li needed, though - cutting loose in an instant, his body generated a staggering amount of electricity in a fraction of a second without warning or movement, enough to blow out the power grid of an entire city block and to render any normal human a smoking black stain on the ground. He highly doubted it would actually kill her given her regenerative abilities, but there was virtually no way to dodge it - her hand was on his shoulder, and electricity moved much faster than any organic nervous system. With any luck it would immediately incapacitate her as her internal organs and entire nervous system were fried to a blacked crisp, burned from the inside - no matter how advanced her healing was, it should take at least five minutes to recover from trauma that massive, and give him enough time to put the original method he intended to keep her unconscious into effect.

Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Faith knew something was up when the guy didn’t move a freaking muscle. Then she felt it. Intense, physical pain. She bit her tongue, and kept the scream in like she had done since she was three. She knew she had to break the circuit, so she released him just as quickly as she grabbed him. Her hand was of course bright red looking, and looks like a small branch. However, it didn’t stay too long as her healing factor kicked in and began to make it fade from view. She was exactly expecting that to happen, but if she had held on to him any longer she was sure that she would be out cold on the ground right then. She couldn’t help it but give one of her deadly grins as she placed her hand back at her side.
She looked around the campsite taking in the inventory around her. She spotted a few things that could be useful to her against him, but she wasn’t just going to let him know that just yet. ”So electricity huh? How shocking.” She was mentally beating herself up at the bad pun she had just blurted out. ”Listen here, bub. I don’t know who you are, where you are from, why you are here, but I want you to leave and leave now before you get in over your head.” She warned and stood at her defense position, ready in case he doesn’t heed her warning.

Of course it wouldn't had been as easy as he had hoped - despite putting enough juice into that jolt to have turned anything else into a withered, smoking husk, she had remained conscious, and even more than that the electricity had failed to paralyze her, something that biology dictated should have happened regardless of how advanced her healing ability was. Still, the mementary jolt to her system did its job, forcing her to let go even if it failed to paralyze her by interupting her nervous system. Launching himself forward into a shoulder roll, Li grabbed the bag that had been in front of him, keeping it between her and his face as he pulled one of his dual pronged knives out of it in mid roll and sliced an opening in the side of the tent, moving through it with almost inhuman grace and speed as he left her alone in the tent. With the thin membrane that composed the side of the tent briefly hiding him from her view, Li pulled out his white mask and black longcoat, donning both within a fraction of a second as he continued to dart away, widening the distance between himself and her to an estimated thirty feet. Despite his reputation, he'd rather not kill her if he didn't have to, and keeping his face hidden provided one less reason to, and on top of that it would provide a slight advantage in the fight - most found it extremely nerve wracking to fight a faceless opponent, and had she received similar training to his own it would make him that much more difficult to read since she would be unable to tell where he was looking or what he was thinking via facial expressions. The coat, however, was more of a hopeful measure, and one he likely couldn't rely on; he knew that it could protect him from small to midsized firearms, but he had no idea how well it would stand up to her admantium should it come to that, and had no desire to test it if he could avoid it. That in itself shouldn't end up being much of a problem, though - even if she had resisted the burning effects of his attack, her body was electrically charged now. While he had no doubt that he was faster than her from the start, it was virtually a certainty now since the lingering electrical charge would be interfering with her own nerves' electrical impulses, and since it wasn't causing actual damage to her body it would likely be ignored by her healing ability. Hell, if luck started to swing his way again it might even cause her to freeze up completely for a moment or two, which would allow him all the opportunity he needed to get in the finishing blow. Turning to face the tent, identity now secure, Li pocketed a small metal case roughly twice the size of his palm and brought the blade in his right hand up in a dagger guard, spreading his stance and keeping silent as she spoke, warning him to leave. Like hell he would - this was exactly the opportunity he'd been waiting for, and in the world he lived in failure was not something to be treated lightly.

Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Faith watched like a predator as the guy moved away from her. It didn’t surprise her the least that he aimed straight for a back on the other side of her position in the flimsy tent. It didn’t even phase her the least that he used a knife to cut the shelter open and exited that way. ’What an idiot! Cutting holes in his only shelter…’ She thought to herself, and rolled her eyes. Not one to let him out of her sight, she extended her own claws and shredded the tent to nothing more than scrap material. When she was done, she didn’t have no trouble looking out of the structure. Heck, she didn’t even stop there. She took it upon herself to destroy that laptop she saw him on. It didn’t escape her notice that it had views of the school on it, and that is something that she couldn’t allow him to continue to have. There was just a too much of a great chance that he would discover what is under the school, and that has to be kept hidden at all costs.
She watched him get into position, and she of course decided to throw him off balance. She instead withdrew her claws back into her forearms and began to slowly approach him. As if she was testing him for something. She was actually seeing how close she could get to him before he either retreated or attacked her. She of course could feel the little bits of his attack move around her body, charging her skeleton’s metal components. She knew she needed to discharge it from her body, but she wasn’t sure how…yet. Her body was doing it’s best to resist the charge and expel it, but she wasn’t exactly grounded. She passed a piece of the skeleton of the tent, and picked it up. She got within grabbing distance of him again, and she knew this would most likely come back and bit her in the ass but she had to try.
Faith suddenly without warning reached out and grabbed his right hand, while at the same time jabbed the piece of metal pipe into the ground next to her. Her hope was to create one huge circuit and have it back loop to him in addition to what charge was left running around in her body from the first time. Of course there was the huge risk that he just fried her to a crisp, but he had refused to leave her alone. No matter what he does, this time she wasn’t going to let go. She did warn him to leave…

Li felt his body tense for a moment as the target shredded the tent apart from inside, noting that she wasn't nearly as subtle as he'd given her credit for. In a way he was thankful; it meant that he likely wouldn't have to worry about her coming at him sideways, and it also meant that she was that much less likely to be able to anticipate his own attacks if they weren't direct in nature. Forcing his body to relax and become limber again, Li raised the blade in his right hand into a slightly higher guard out of sheer habit, shifting his stance to put his right foot forward without changing his overall position, left hand hanging in the air behind him. While the destruction of the tent itself had been rather pointless and had removed any chance of her using it to cover her own movements, it did leave her with a number of other objects that were usable as weapons - all metal, thankfully, but still plenty dangerous to him if she knew what she was doing with them, a thought further etched into his mind as he saw her retract her admantium claws and begin moving towards him, picking up a length of metal pole as she did so.
Subtly lowering his stance, Li quickly ran over the possible outcomes in his mind as she advanced, the Reaper holding his own ground as she did so. The first and worst case scenario was that she'd close in, using the pole as a distraction before getting in close and using her claws - he was faster than she was, but that would still be difficult given that she'd essentially have a weapon in each hand while he only had the one, which was incapable of blocking that particular tactic to start with. Option number two was that she'd use the pole to create an opening similar to scenario one, but use the opening to make a run for it, forcing him to follow her and possibly run the risk of detection by the school at large. Option number three was that she'd use the pole as a weapon on it's own, which was the best case scenario. Li ran out of time to think as she got within striking range, reaching out to grab his knife arm as she with her free hand while jamming the pole into the ground with the other arm but not releasing it from her grip. That was twice that she'd managed to surprise him - she was much smarter than her initial actions would have indicated, using the pole in an attempt to ground herself, and it would have worked had it not been for the sole fact that Li was able to control where his electricity went, and that he wasn't affected by his own jolts. Letting her take hold of his arm, Li dropped the blade and twisted his arm inside of her grip to grab on to her own wrist, ensuring that she couldn't escape as he let loose again, generating enough electricity to put an elephant down in an instant, this time making sure that he kept generating the same amount as long as she was in his iron grip, one much stronger than his lean form would have suggested. As he did so his left arm dipped down, grabbing hold of the caribiner on his belt as he glanced down and made a throwing motion as if he were skipping a stone across water, the caribiner zipping forward to stop just past her right ankle before he twisted the line in his grip and pulled back - assuming she was either still paralyzed by the electricity coursing through her body or too preoccupied trying to resist the attack to notice, the line would wrap around her ankle before the caribiner clipped onto the line and the yanking motion pulled her leg out from under her, throwing her further off balance.

Logan wasn't able to sleep worth a crap that night and spent a good amount of time laying awake, walking the halls, keeping an eye on everything, and laying awake again. He had just gotten back that previous night and had barely encountered anyone he cared to say hi to. Just alot of new students as usual, different faces, to many faces. Getting wrestless by the break of dawn, Logan had slipped to the garage and taken Scott's bike for a ride. He often did just to piss the other man off, but also he enjoyed the adrenaline rush of speed that the bike could give. He was gone roughly a half hour.
When he pulled the bike back onto the school grounds, adrenaline coursing in his viens and senses alert even more. A creep feeling came over Logan as he passed around the back of the masion to the garage. The hairs on his neck stood on end as he walked back outside to the back yard, looking eyes norrow and searching. Nostrals flared....Faith....his daughter's scent filled the air and by how fresh it was with the very dull breeze he'd only missed her presence by moments. By a glint off the sun Logan seen one of the cameras, soon and quickly he picked up and found every camera hidden with just by the site of his eyes. After years of the aspect he could hone in on small detail and identify things easily when he put his mind to it.
With a low short snarl Logan tracked Faith's scent, he couldn't let harm come to her. He'd actually come to find family, and he wouldn't allow another loved one to be hurt. Obviously this had to be a government set up in one way or another as only they'd be dumb enough to set up cameras on a school that has mutants that could detect just the presses of change with their minds. Logan would either have to take down the cameras when he got back or have one of the other Xmen do it, perhaps Kurt would be willing. It wasn't long, even though the animals did their best to cover Faith's scent, Logan would always know it even in the smallest amounts.
He came upon the scene being able to feel the extra electrical charge in the air, the scent and the sound of the electricty very quietly crackling in the air told him a electrical based mutant was there. Once in sight he seen a masked man roughly holding onto Faith's arm sending his power of voltage through her as he also tried to pull her legs from undernieth her with a caribiner. Quickly his anger rose from seeing the man harming his daughter, knowing that the electrifing pain was increased with the metal laced onto her bones from his own experiences in life. With out words Logan ran straight at the man from a diagonel angle to his back. Not worrying of being silent in anyway his angered growl like breathing most likely giving him away at his quick approach. Resisting from naturally releasing his claws into the man, as he was working with himself since he'd joined the Xmen not to use them so quickly.
With years of training and experience he knew well more martial arts and fighting styles than this young lad could ever handle. As Logan came upon the man, if percise in getting ahold of the man before he had time to more, his massively thick forarm attempted rapping around the man's neck and Logan's other hand whipped around hopefully to grab in time and dig his thumb into a pressure point on the joints of his wrist. If successful with this quick rath movement, it'd force the man to let go of Faith, but with grabbing ahold of the man Logan would take in a good amount of the electric attack. Gritting his teeth he could bare it alot easier than he figure Faith could, as he had before endured his own flesh being ripped repeatedly over and over from his body from the cruel power of Jean Grey. .

Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Faith was of course expecting the shock this time. What she wasn’t quite expecting, but it didn’t come to a surprise to her either, was his twist of his arm to grab onto her own wrist. Well, at least this way he was unarmed with his blade. She gritted her teeth at first in an effort to hold in the scream of pain as he let loose another shock at her. She could feel her muscles contracting, but she wouldn’t let on that she was getting a bit fried. She of course saw the slight movement of his free arm to his belt and attempted to take her down with a carabiner that he had decided to throw at her right ankle. She felt it circle it, and then trap it in a line. She gritted her teeth, and tighten her grip on the pole as he pulled her foot out from under her. She let the momentum flow and used it in an attempted to swing her feet up at him in hopes of making a solid connection with his rib cage. However she had lost her focus on her jaw muscles as she did this, and howled out in pain.
Then an angry growl reached her ears, and she managed to turn her head to see her father charge at the man. With that mask on, she couldn’t tell if the man had seen or heard Logan’s approach. But from where she was situated, she could clearly see that her father didn’t take to kindly of this man harming her. If she wasn’t being fried from the inside, she would have sworn it had to do with the pack mentality of their nature. But of course she was getting one hell of a jolt, and the only thing that she knew was making it a bit easier is that she had the knowledge to ground herself with the metal pole. Of course her threshold for pain was higher than that of a normal person, and from what she had endured from Weapon X it was even higher than someone like her without the adamantium laced skeleton. That process in itself is excruciating and if she could take that happening to her, then a little jolt like this was a walk in the park. But that procedure only lasted a few short minutes, and this jolt that was currently being forced on her was reaching that mark.
Faith was of course on the verge of passing out, but she didn’t want that to happen as knowing that her own father was susceptible to the same kind of attack. So instead of continuing to howl in pain, she closed her mouth and clenched her jaw shut. The only thing that she knew that could keep her from blacking out was if he released her soon. And soon meant within a few short moments, as she had been taken out of the tank and was half way out the room by that time. She tugged on her arm, in a vain attempted to get him to release it. However, that took the last bit of her strength, and she felt her body go limp and limber as she fell to the ground with a loud thud. As she laid there, she remembered reading that when they gave her father his adamantium, he actually died. But he was just too stubborn to stay that way. Or so she believes. So she hoped she didn’t take that cue from him, and her heart stopped from being exposed to the electrical current for too long. For as of that moment, she was laying prone on the ground next to that metal pole…

Again surprised by the fact that Faith retained any control of her body at all despite the massive amount of electricity flowing through it, Li resisted the urge to curse as she screamed, somthing that she should have been incapable of doing since she shouldn't have had any control over her jaw muscles, let alone her breathing. As she did so Li noticed minute movement in her eyes, and in that instant he focused his attention behind him just in time to notice that someone was approaching, and fast. Exactly what he didn't need - he had the target he wanted, and fighting them off without killing them in a situation like this would be nearly impossible. Sparing a second to glance over his shoulder, the left side of his mask still facing Faith and allowing him to keep another eye on her, Li saw the last person he wanted to deal with at that moment short of Xavier himself. Realizing he wouldn't have enough time to dodge the man's grab for him but relieved that he wasn't moving to cut or stab him right off the bat, Li brought his left arm up, guiding the wire attached to Faith's leg to steer her weakened kick of to the side and into thin air just in time to see her pass out - or so he hoped. Wolverine had survived getting shot in the head, and according to the files he'd read the man had also died during his augmentation - death via conventional methods was supposedly an impossibility for these people, but if she had died and was in danger of staying that way then Li was running out of time. If her heart had stopped, then all it would take was another quick jolt from him, similar to a defibrilator, to get it going again, and she'd likely stay unconscious as her body recovered. She'd only be susceptable to that method for a few minutes, though, which meant he had to finish this quickly.
As Faith fell to the ground and Logan wrapped an arm around Li's neck, Li tucked his chin in to prevent him from establishing an effective sleeper hold while at the same time releasing Faith's wrist before he could grab it, instantly following up by having that same hand whip back over his shoulder in an attempt to latch his palm onto his attacker's face with almost inhuman speed, his power already active but this time focused into discharging the electricity from the palm of that hand, directly into the man's head. It was a tried and true method, quick, silent and capable of instantly killing most opponents as their brains fried the instant his hand made contact with their heads - the amount of juice flowing through this attack was of an entirely different magnitude, however, focused on making someone who supposedly couldn't die short of decapitation drop. Li wasn't finished yet, though - while he hadn't ever actually met the man before, he respected his foreign counterpart's reputation and abilities, and as such he wouldn't hold back. Twisting the line in his left hand to release its grip on Faith's leg, the caribiner on the leading end of the wire zipped back to his hand as the winch rewound the line, Li's left leg shifting back to hook around Logan's as Li himself leaned back, attempting to use their combined weight to pull him to the ground and increase Li's chances of his other hand clamping onto Logan's face.

Logan vageuly took note and saw his daughter on the ground now. Least he was enough distraction for the man to let her go, but at the current moment he'd barely jerked his head out of the way from the man's hand. Instead he felt the grasp on his neck, in a roar of pain, the arm not rapped around Li's neck reached for the man's hand. Electricity surged down his spinal cord and his metal infused backbone, he swore the healing factor made it worse as his body instantly started trying to heal the electrified torched tissue that would be getting burnt over again and again.
In trying to push the thought of pain he grabbed the man's forarm, he really didn't grab him, but his own arm muslces ceased and clenched that it surved as a grab. Logan attempted to remove the man's hand from his neck as he felt the guy try to displace his weight from one of his leg. Logan leaned to the opposing side against Li so there wouldn't be a strong enough angle to unsteady his leg. Logan's body was doing it's best to reject and heal from the voltage passing through him, but even so his muscles were jerking and starting to tense up. Logan needed to get this man out of arms length from either him or his daughter so he couldn't give them the electric death touch.

Every broken enemy will know That their opponent had to be invincible~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Faith didn’t know how long she had been out of it, but she figured it couldn’t have been long. She was sure her healing factor was working to repair the damage to her body. She moaned and groaned as she came to, and took a few moment to gather her wits about her. She saw the guy had let her go, but her father had managed to direct his attention to himself and was getting the life zapped out of him. She gritted her teeth and slowly got to her feet. The guy made a big mistake. She didn’t mind it when he was attempting to fry her inside out, but he crossed the line when he turned on her father.
She propped herself up on the metal pole she had jabbed into the ground prior to the last electrical attack on her.
