The air in the storage room grew awkward as Remy sat on his barrel. He felt bad for turning and leaving her, but it wasn't because he was afraid of her touch, no. It was mainly because he was lost in a swarm of confusing thoughts, better known as hormones. Crimson eyes watched the girl as she struggled to wipe her eyes. She spoke up, asking for a tissue, and Remy responded with pulling out a handkerchief and handing it to her. "Keep it, darlin'." He told her with a soft smile before sititng back up right on his barrel.
Waiting for her to clear her face a bit more, he reached over and picked up his deck of cards again and began messing with them, shuffling and cutting them different ways like a magician would do. When she spoke up again, he stopped mid shuffle and looked back up at her. The question she asked made his heart jump. It could be possible for a kiss to happen with some thin fabric. "Well 'yea. Dis could be possible." He replied chuckling a bit. "Either a scarf or maybe...like a chapstick like substance. Y'know they make a liquid bandage thing that you place on yer lips to heal the cracks. That would always work." And it really could. The substance would create a barrier thick enough to not allow direct skin contact, but allow the feeling to be felt decent enough. Remy hadn't used the stuff personally, but he found some on one of his...erm...clients once.
The room went silent for a brief moment, the only noises were the clinking of bottles outside the door in the clicking of his cards as he shuffled. Then Rogue switched the topic to a previous one. 'So... when do ya think ya can teach me how to sneak around?" She spoke up. It took Remy a moment to think about it. "Anytime ya want. Though it might have to be at yer place instead of mine since...well. It's a long story, darlin'." He told her. It wasn't a long story at all. He simply wanted out of this place. it had grown stale over the past few months, and the Guild wasn't doing so hot. That's why his father had left and went to Egypt, and now that Remy had someone who had a place to go...that was apparently open to everyone, he figured now was a good time to get going.

Taking the handkerchief Rogue used it to dry her face. She noted automatically it smelt of Remy. It made her smile a little to know maybe, just maybe, his scent would rub off on her face. Of course not the best way to have that happen, but hey, she had something of Remy's. He told her to keep it. It may not be flowers or even given intentionally, but it was the first time she had gotten anything from a boy. Well, Remy was no boy. He was a man. An intimidating man like Logan. Only, not a father figure. Definately not a father figure. Remy was very sexy. He probably knew it too. Once she had dried her face she folded the handkerchief neatly before putting it into an inside pocket on her leather jacket. When Remy responded to her question, Rogue's previously sad eyes lit up. He thought it would work. Her idea wasn't stupid. She had never felt such hope before. It was like her heart was lifting into the sky. Or at least pushing against her chest beating a mile a second.
"Really?!"
Rogue exclaimed, and before she knew it she had gotten up, bolted over to Remy and launched herself at him. Her arms wrapped around his neck, and her legs around his waist as she buried her face against his clothed shoulder. She was just so excited she couldn't contain it. Now she had hope. Then she realised, what on earth was she going to do now? Plan A: Get the liquid bandage for lips. Plan A2: Get a date with Remy. Right. Pulling her head back a little she blushed from head to toe as she glanced down at her chest pressed against his. She couldn't say she didn't enjoy this closeness. The thing was though, Rogue had never actually asked someone out before. She didn't really even know how to flirt. Rogue knew she really wanted to ask but was a little scared Remy wouldn't say yes. After all, they had talked about a lot already, and she wouldn't blame him if he didn't like her in that way. Biting her bottom lip she glanced up into his beautiful red eyes.
"Uh... do ya know where I can get some?"
Way to go. Ask him out! Rogue told herself. She didn't get the chance though because then he asked about training back at the mansion. She blinked repeatedly. Remy. Mansion. Bobby. Logan. Pyro. Yeah... not a good idea. Yet, she couldn't think of any real reason she could give for Remy not to go. She bit her bottom lip briefly. Maybe he wouldn't follow the sheep and react to her like they did? Maybe he'd still stay close to her... Maybe he wouldn't end up with one of the other females at the mansion... Maybe she had to ask him out now before he went back to the mansion. Rogue decided on the last thought, and let herself inhale and exhale a moment so she could gather courage as well as calm herself down. She had to do this in a sexy way - or as close to sexy as she could - and not seem desperate. Right.
"Ah thought there was supposed to be a first date before a gal takes a guy home with them..."
Real smooth.

Rogue launched herself at Remy, and out of shock he fell back slight on the barrel. "Woah there, chéri." He said, placing a hand down on the ground to keep him from falling off the barrel completely. With ease, he pushed them both back up right on the barrel and he chuckled softly at her enthusiasm. "Alright, alright. No need to be screaming about like one of them girls at a backstreet boys concert." He told her with a grin and a chuckle. She felt warm against him, even though she was fully clothed. Still, it was nice for him to have her this close, her scent mingling with his making him want to flip out. Her breath was on his neck as she buried his head into his shoulder, and that too was bringing back the tingle in the back of his spine.
"Uh... do ya know where I can get some?" Rogue spoke up, asking about the liquid substance. Remy cocked an eyebrow and chuckle a little bit. "How about a drug store?" He told her. Frankly, Remy was just as clueless as where do get it as she was, though a drug store made the most sense. It was a bandage for the lips, and drug stores sold bandages. "'Dat seems like 'de best option, darlin'. I have only heard through the grapevine about it." He told her with another light chuckle.
After speaking to her about training back at this school she stayed at, Rogue turned to him and replied. "Ah thought there was supposed to be a first date before a gal takes a guy home with them..." Remy grinned brightly at this comment, not because of the sexy factor, but also because she was figuring out his flirting style, which always made things more interesting. "Well 'Dis is true." He told her with a chuckle. 'Though since I bought yer drink in there, I think 'dat counts for somethin'."

"Ah do not scream or squeal. That is more a Kitty or Jubilee thing to do. Ah don't like the backstreet boys either. Way too... 'machine made'."
Rogue responded firmly, and proudly, with a playful smile upon her face. She rather liked the fact she had almost made him fall over off his barrel. It would have been funny if she had. She had to admit though she was proud of Remy's agility and strength though. He had not only stopped them both from falling but managed to put them both upright on the barrel as well. It was indeed impressive. She even got to watch his muscles at work when he had moved like that. Even his clothing couldn't hide them. He was definately beautiful. Swoon worthy actually. She really did have to get him off the market by the time they went to Xavier's. She knew a lot of women would want him, and honestly, she wasn't so sure she could be any competition for them. She would have preferred to stay in New Orleans. At least here it felt like she was the only girl in the world to him. Then again they were in a storage cupboard type place. Alone. So she pretty much was the only girl right now.
"Ah, right. A drug store. Ah'll have to find one before ah head out for a motel."
Rogue commented to herself. It shouldn't be hard to find one, or hard to find a motel either. She could do both after she finished up here. She was not looking forward to staying in a motel but right now it was all she could afford. Still, it was nice to have a break from the mansion. She hadn't realised how wound up and uptight she was there until right this second with Remy. Sure, she hadn't exactly gotten loosened up yet, but she was more loose then she had been in years which was definately a start. She crossed her arms over her chest and pouted when he responded to her date suggestion. She couldn't help it. She hadn't been this playful in ages, and she was definately enjoying it. It almost felt like she was normal. A feeling she hadn't felt in years. Before she had put her first boyfriend into a coma. It was definately a feeling she was really enjoying right now.
"Ah bought my own drink. A took a note out of my pocket remember? So ya still owe me a date. Unless you're not man enough..."
Rogue responded, giving a slight shrug for extra effect. She was really enjoying this. She felt human again. Rogue got off his lap, waltzed over to her barrel and picked up Remy's fedora she had left there. She put it on her head, before turning round to look at Remy with a mischevious smile upon her full lips. She hadn't even noticed her ponytail had loosened quite a lot, and so there was now quite a few stray red and white hairs framing her pretty face.
"It seems ahm more Cajun then you."
She teased, before leaving the storage cupboard to head back to the bar. She of course had no intention of leaving Remy's company. She just wanted to bring their playful banter to a bigger venue. Besides, she did want her date, and she figured coming out here gave her a better chance of Remy giving her one. She walked over to the bar before sitting on top of the bar top, putting one leg over the other provocatively, before looking over at where Remy should be following her.

Remy couldn't help but start laughing as she explained she wasn't into backstreet boys and wouldn't scream squeal over them. To her, they were too machine made and he liked how she put that. 'Well I am glad robotic dancers put ya off then." He said with a chuckle and another grin. The girl was still plastered to his lap, but he didn't mind it. In fact it was kind of nice in a way, and she even seemed to be getting a bit more free around him than when she first walked through the door. Then, she seemed like some uptight business woman, and now she seemed like a light hearted girl looking for some fun.
After he made mention of where to get the bandage things, the redheaded woman gave a slight nod and spoke up, saying that she would have to hit one before going to a motel. So she was going to stay in town? "A motel?" Remy spoke up, cocking an eyebrow up at her. " 'De only decent motel in town isn't even in town but on the state line." He told her. "If yer gonna stay, then yer gonna stay at my place tonight, darlin'," He chuckled a bit and grinned as his hand went to her lower back to keep her balanced on his lap. If she accepted this offer, then tonight would hold more interest than normal to him.
Ah bought my own drink. A took a note out of my pocket remember? So ya still owe me a date. Unless you're not man enough..." Rogue spoke up, crossing her arms a bit and pouting in his lap. Remy chuckled a bit a shook his head. "I ain't never gonna weasel by with anything when yer around. I can see it now." He told her with a grin, laughing a bit. She got off his lap and went over to her barrel where she had taken his hat. She placed it upon her head and turned around with a sly smile, telling him that she was more Cajun than him. "Oh now missy ya drew the line!?" He said with a chuckle as he got up.
Rogue made her way out from the door and to the bar. Remy followed suit, finding her just a little ways down sitting on top of it with her legs crossed a bit. Chuckling, he walked back out to the open and went down towards her. "Now miss I do think this is frowned upon in such a civil place." He told her, reaching up and taking his hat from her head and tossing it over to the coat rack, not bothering to watch it land perfectly on one of the hooks.

"Ah prefer the tango or salsa. Something... passionate, where man and woman seem to meld into one being as they set fire to the dancefloor..."
Rogue murmurred, drifting off to her own imagination for a moment before realising she had spoken out loud. Blushing she looked up at him.
"Ah dunno how to dance that way though. Just a pipe dream."
She added with a soft smile. She found herself disappointed when Remy mentioned there weren't any motels in New Orleans. That didn't last though as Remy invited her to stay at his place. She was shocked. On one hand she knew the rule was you shouldn't stay at a stranger's place. On another hand, would it signify a one night stand? And on another hand... hell yes! Pretty confusing, but it wasn't as if she had anywhere else to go, and well, she would be staying with Remy. She trusted him, as odd as that sounded. She knew she'd be safe with him, and besides, with her mutation it wasn't as if he could make her do anything she didn't want to do anyway.
"That would be great, thank ya Remy."
Rogue responded with a warm and appreciative smile. Not long after she was of course sat on the bar top and giggling as Remy approached her. She liked that Remy felt he wasn't going to get anything by her. It was funny, and well, she only said it how it is. She liked honesty, and so far she believed Remy had been honest. She giggled even more when Remy had said she had crossed the line with the cajun comment. What could she say? She felt happy. Loose. Free. Only Remy had ever brought this out in her. With Bobby she had been proper. With Remy... she was just herself. Who she should have been. Who she was. Rogue pouted as he took off his fedora and watched impressed as it flew onto a coat hook. Damn. Returning her gaze to Remy she gave her best puppy eyed look as she pouted, making her bottom lip quiver a little.
"But ah liked that hat..."
She whimpered. Of course she was just playing him, but Rogue also wanted to see if that kind of look would work on Remy. She was curious. She tilted her head, reaching out to curl some of his hair on her index finger, making sure not to touch Remy's skin.
"Whats frowned upon? Sitting on the bar, or saying ahm more Cajun then you, or wearing your hat, or simply provokin' ya? Because way ah see it, no one's got a pair of handcuffs to arrest meh, so your just gonna have to deal with it. Unless ya gonna punish me ya self, and ah don't think ya have anything in that trench coat of yours to punish me."
Rogue teased, a mischevious smirk upon her plump lips. Jumping off the bar, she slipped her gloved hands beneath his trench coat onto his shoulders. She kept her gaze locked on his as she subtly took off his coat slowly, before whipping it around herself, putting her arms through the arms of his trench coat. She wasn't exactly intending on undressing Remy, despie the fact it seemed that way. She twirled around in his trench coat, giggling a little before turning to face Remy again.
"Ya know, ah think ah look good in this. What do ya think? Ah could wear it instead of pjs. It would be a lot warmer, and ah'd get to smell of ya. It'll probably the next best thing to an actual date, which ya still ain't doing, sugar."
The funny thing was, Rogue wasn't even drunk yet.

"Ah prefer the tango or salsa. Something... passionate, where man and woman seem to meld into one being as they set fire to the dancefloor..."
Rogue had spoke up after his little comment on the backstreet boys topic. Remy chuckled a bit and shook his head at her outward thoughts, though she responded quickly and told him she didn't know those dances and it was just a distant day dream of hers. "Well never be afraid to dream a little bigger, darlin'." He told her with a grin and a sly wink. There was something about flirting with this girl that tickled his fancies. She wasn't easy, that was the main thing. Most girls after one wink for him would of thrown themselves at him. It took a little longer for her, but then she did practically throw herself at him but backed right off and flirted in a style similar to his.
The redhead thanked him for letting her stay at his place and he simply gave a nod of approval. He was glad she accepted his offer. That would make things a whole lot simpler, especially if she wanted this so called date of hers to go on. There was a motel in the center of town, but it wasn't very clean and was deemed the cockroach inn for obvious reasons.
Now though they were out at the bar. She pouted as Remy took the hat from a top her head and threw it on the coat rack. "But ah liked that hat..." She told him, wimpering a bit afterwards which caused a grin to go across his face. "Well that's too bar, darlin'." He told her with a chuckle before she went into a speech about what exactly was frowned upon. As he listened to her talk he chuckled a bit here and there, find her very sexy in the way she was flirting with him. "All of those things are frowned upon here." He told her with a chuckle. " And you never know, I just might have some handcuffs in my coat pocket, chéri" He concluded with a wink.
Rogue got down from the counter and slid her hands into his coat, working them over his shoulders before she too off his coat, spinning around so it was now on her instead of him. For a moment, Remy's heart dropped and his eyes flashed red before going back to hazel. There was nothing to worry about with this girl, he told himself. Even though they had just met he was finding it more and more easy to place his trust in her. She started to speak, giving him mental images of her wearing just his coat which tickled his insides more before she finally said he still wasn't giving her an actual date.
"Well, chéri. I ain't the datin' type o' guy." He told her. "But, I can make an exception for you." He gave her a wink and grinned brightly. "So. What does this, erm...date consist of normally for such a lovely gal like y'self?"

Rogue flushed from head to toe when Remy suggested he might have handcuffs in his trench coat. Just that suggestion was doing something wicked to her insides. She felt... tingly between her legs, and she just didn't know what that feeling was. It was good but uncomfortable at the same time. She didn't understand it, and so decided to push it aside. It probably wasn't important anyway. It didn't take Rogue long though to notice that Remy - to her - appeared uncomfortable without his trench coat. She realised it was probably what her gloves were to her, and instantly felt bad. She didn't mean to upset him. She softly took it off before approaching Remy. She slowly slid one arm of the trench coat up Remy's arm, went around his back, and then did the same with the other arm before standing infront of him. She grabbed his collar and pulled the coat forward a bit so it sat more comfortably on Remy's figure.
"It probably looks better on ya anyway sugar."
She spoke softly with a slight purr. It was clear she was apologetic.
"Ahm gonna keep the hat though."
Rogue added with a mischevious grin, before darting over to the coat hook. She grabbed his fedora and put it on proudly before padding back over to Remy.
"Ya know, ah hope you don't wear that coat in bed... Ah also hope you clean it..."
She mentioned playfully before elbowing him lightly in the side. Rogue definately felt rather special when Remy mentioned he didn't normally date but would make an exception for her. It could be just a line, but even so, Rogue did feel special in that moment. She actually felt... beautiful, wanted, and special. Worth something.
"Honestly, ahm not high maintenance, sugar. Right now ah'd probably be happy with a handmade grilled cheese sandwich at your place, and a comedy movie. Maybe snuggle a bit on the couch infront of a fire. ya don't need to do anythin' special. Just be you Ah'd be happy watching you play poker."
Rogue responded honestly as she looked up at him brightly. She then thought of a question she hadn't totally forgotten to ask.
"Ya don't live with someone do ya? Ah don't wanna put them out, especially since they don't know about meh staying..."
Rogue always cared about the welfare of others. She didn't really spend much if any time doing anything for herself. It was always for others. It just seemed like the natural thing to do when her mutation kicked in. After all, before that she had been a normal teenage girl who lived life to have fun with it and do what she liked. She wasn't selfish per say, but perhaps a little self absorbed like every teenager was. She had always had the good pure heart however. She glanced up into Remy's hazel eyes, briefly wishing they were red again, before trailing her fingertips down his coat covered arm. Right then she really did want to get to that drug store. It would have to wait though. As much as she wanted to kiss him she liked spending time with him more. He was such a fun person to be around, and sensual. She had never seen anything like him before, and she didn't intend on letting him go. Hopefully.

Rogue slid out of his coat and placed it back on him. He never meant to make her think he was uncomfortable without his jacket, it was just awkward at times. There had been so many times where he had been chasing someone, or vice versa and the coat fell off, or someone tried to steal it to get into his...pockets so to speak. This jacket was all he had left of his father, who had given it to him before he left the Guild. The red head spoke up, saying that it looked better on him anyways and he chuckled a bit. She made her way to the coat rack and too his hat once again though. "Ahm gonna keep the hat though." She said and Remy chuckled anymore. "Alright. I got more of those but only one of these." He said, tugging on his jacket to signal it was one of a kind.
"Ya know, ah hope you don't wear that coat in bed... Ah also hope you clean it..." The girl spoke up as she returned to him, giving him a little nudge in his side. "Well you will just have to find out about that first part, now won't 'ya?" He said, giving her a little wink before laughing slightly.
Rogue spoke up, telling him she wasn't hard to please and would be happy to have just a grilled cheese made in a skillet at his house. Remy grinned a bit at this, liking how she worked. She went on to describe other things, like him playing poker or just sitting on a couch. "Well then, my place it is, darlin'. Remy spoke up, chuckling again as he began to walk towards the door with her. She spoke up though as they walked, asking if he lived with anyone else. "I've lived alone for half my life." He spoke up, turning his head toward her. "Until now." He concluded, giving her a little wink before they headed out the door.
The sun beat down upon their faces as Gambit stood on the sidewalk. "So little lady, do 'ya gots a car or somethin' 'round here?"

"Aww, so this ain't ya lucky hat?"
Rogue pouted, tilting her head to the side for maximum effect. She had hoped the hat was special to him, but it didn't matter. The hat had been his, and had looked sexy as hell on Remy. She doubted it looked good on her, but she would enjoy wearing it nonetheless. She wondered if she could get away with wearing it all the time without people spreading rumours about what was going on with her wearing the fedora back at Xavier's. She doubted it. That place was like a gossip mill. Of course it wouldn't stop her from wearing it. She was not ashamed of Remy or her feelings for him. He made her feel good. He made her feel normal. He made her stress and the feeling of being tightly coiled ready to explode disappear. She felt relaxed and at ease for the first time in years. She didn't feel quite so alone either. Remy was a special man, and the fact he was showing any interest in her made her feel special. She just hoped she could make Remy feel even half of what he made her feel.
Rogue ended up blushing bright red as Remy suggested she'll have to find out if he wore the trench coat to bed. Why was her mind going straight to Remy half naked? She didn't even know she had a gutter mind. Then again, with Pyro, Bobby, Logan, and Magneto in her head she supposed it was only a matter of time before she got a gutter mind. She was just lucky none of the boys in her head had started making her 'appreciate' females. Now that would just be plain awkward. Rogue was relieved as she walked alongside Remy when he mentioned he lived alone. Now she didn't have to worry about imposing. However when he mentioned 'until now' she ended up blushing again.
"Ahm not moving in... Its just for tonight, or until the weekend is over... Ah haven't informed Xavier to be away for more then the weekend..."
Rogue explained, although she was sure tempted by the thought of living here in New Orleans with Remy. No. It can't happen. You have students, and it isn't as if he is actually asking you to move in anyway. Stop fantasising. Rogue told herself mentally. Rogue glanced back up at Remy, lost in all that was Remy, as the stepped outside. It took her a few minutes to realise he mentioned her car, and a few more to realise she had a car and she had parked on the other side of the street. Blinking, she glanced across the street to find the car. Upon finding the rented red toyota pick-up truck, Rogue sighed in relief it hadn't been stolen or harmed.
"That pick-up truck. Ah rented it. Is your place far from here Remy?"
Rogue asked, before realising she had to go over there anyway to get her duffel bag.
"Oh! Meh things are in there."
She said, before glancing both ways down the street. Making sure it was clear Rogue darted across the street to the truck. After all, she would need something to sleep in and change into tomorrow at least, so either way she would need to go to the truck. Whether it was to get her stuff or drive to Remy's place.

"Aww, so this ain't ya lucky hat?"
Rough had asked playfully as she tipped her head sideways, his fedora placed upon her red hair. Gambit chuckled softly and grinned. "Nah darlin'." He told her as they began to make their way outside to leave. His head turned towards her's and he spoke again. "Though I guess we can call it lucky. I mean you turned up when I was wearing it...so..." Remy started to laugh a bit, a stupid sly grin plastered on his face. He didn't know what it was about this girl, but he hadn't been this carefree in flirting in ages, but then again he didn't have such a huge weight on his shoulders now as he did back then. Back in his early teens he was more worried about getting caught and screwing up in front of his Dad more than anything, but now that all that was eliminated, he could be his self once again.
As they walked outside, Remy noticed the girl blush after he mentioned the little tid bit about his living situation. She spoke up, saying she wasn't moving in, but it was just for the night before she, and possibly him, headed back to this Xavier's school. "Well I figured 'dat much, love." He said with a chuckle. "I was just saying it had been awhile since....I had someone stay with me, even for just 'de night." The last girl to stay with him was Bella Donna, a girl he had known since he was Nine. Her father actually ran the rival Thieves Guild, but her and her father never acted like rivals to him and his own Dad.
It was a couple of years ago when she left. They were due to get married, but when the day came her brother challenged him as Bella was walking down the Isle. They got into a fight and Remy won, but not without killing her brother on accident. Bella left and Remy had been alone ever since, well besides the occasional one nighters, but he would never let Rogue know about that now.
After a moment of standing there on the sidewalk, the girl spoke up, pointing over at a red pick up truck, and then proceeded to ask how far way he lived. "Not far, chéri." He spoke as they began walking over to the truck. "I'll drive though." It wasn't that he didn't want her to know where he lived, he just had a thing about giving out directions to his house out loud. Last thing he needed was someone over hearing and following them home and then a fight ensue. Yeah, that would be a killer first date.
Remy waited a moment for her to toss him the keys, but after she did he unlocked the doors and got in, waiting for her to join him.

"Thats so sweet."
Rogue commented when Remy mentioned it could be lucky since he had worn it when he met her. It was rare being complimented, and well, this whole playful banter was even rarer in Rogue's opinion for her life. She hadn't felt so comfortable in someone else's company since her mutation had kicked in. If she could touch, she would be thinking it would be nice to have all her firsts with Remy. Unfortunately, that would never happen. Well, not in the near future. Still, she thoroughly enjoyed his company. He was so much fun to be around. If nothing more, he would make a good best friend. Rogue couldn't help but long for more then that though. Still, she wouldn't be selfish. At least that was what Rogue was trying to tell herself, but it didn't seem to be working since she had already demanded one date from Remy. Yeah. Not working so much. Ah well. Ya loose some and win some. Rogue told herself with a happy smile.
Rogue ended up blushing when Remy agreed he wasn't asking her to move in. She felt special though when Remy mentioned he hadn't had a girl stay with him in his place. Oh my god. No one night stands. No girlfriends in a while... That definately made Rogue feel special. She would be the only trace of a female in his place. It made her want to bounce and clap happily, which unknown to her, she actually really did. Her attention was diverted though when Remy said he would drive. It took her a minute to realise he was saying he would drive her rental car. She was hesitant. She knew it wasn't her car, but even so... Wasn't it rude to drive someone else's car, or even state so? Besides, as she tried to reason with herself, he wasn't on the insurance of the car anyway. Sighing a little, she took out the keys from her leather jacket's inside pocket before handing them gently over to Remy as if they were a precious gem stone.
"Please don't wreck the car. I may have taken insurance out on it, but its still a rental, and I do not want to pay any fines..."
She begged, before going over to the passenger's side of the car. She waited for the car to become unlocked before opening the door and sliding it. She put the seat belt on before looking over at Remy. Rogue was a fan of motorcycles more then cars, but when it did come to cars she liked big, masculine, tough cars like this truck. Something reliable as well. Preferably older. She found herself giggling a little as she realised it could also describe not only Logan but Remy too. I have the same taste in men as I have in cars. Excluding Bobby, of course. Lapse in judgement. Unable to contain herself she doubled over in laughter at the thoughts. She couldn't help it. It was just so funny. Eventually she did manage to calm herself down. She leaned back in the seat, head tilted back showing off the front of her throat as she closed her eyes peacefully. Just the sense of Remy there was calming, and comforting. It made her feel content. She felt like a well fed cat, purring, and napping infront of a fire.

Remy chuckled softly as the girl told him he was sweet. That was the thing about Remy though, he could appear to be one thing but really be something else. Years training in the Thieves Guild made him learn to put on a certain front for people, changing it ever so slowly, almost like evolving it to a certain person's taste. When it came to girls, he seemed like the best damn thing out there, but deep down inside he knew he was no better than anyone else. Still though, those things didn't matter at this time because what he was saying to Rogue was true, or at least not one of his many fronts that he always puts on.
"Please don't wreck the car. I may have taken insurance out on it, but its still a rental, and I do not want to pay any fines..." Rogue spoke up as she slowly handed over the keys to the car. "No worries, darlin'. You are in good hands." He spoke with a chuckle and sly grin as he took the keys from her and got in the truck. For it being a rusty old pickup, it sure had a lot of room in the cab, something that he preferred over those little itty bitty P.T Cruisers or whatever they were called. Sticking the keys in the ignition, he gave it a turn hearing a series of repeated metallic clicks before the engine jumped to life. Grinning, Remy turned his head toward Rogue to make sure she was buckled. "Here we go." He said after his eyes saw she was buckled and pressed on the gas, making the truck pull on down the road.
It didn't take long to get there, a mere fifteen minutes, not counting the stop at the Gas Station that the redhead had begged him to do. The truck twisted and turned in what seemed like random directions but to Remy they were a pattern he learned how to walk when he was very little. The truck stopped outside what use to be a small plantation. The house was solid white and stood massively on the green lawn that was littered with oak trees here and there.
"Well here we are." Remy spoke up, turning off and taking out the key to the truck before stepping out. He walked up the little cobblestone drive that lead to the front door, only turning the knob and pushing the door when he was in reach. "Hope it's not too much." He said stepping inside, his red eyes taking in the usual surroundings of paintings on walls and velvet furniture along with other expensive crap that really had no place with Remy. It was all his father's, and when he told Remy he should take over the Guild he gave all this to him.

Rogue honestly felt like she had died when they pulled up outside Remy's house. It was huge. Grand. How on earth could one person in that expensive... mansion? She could tell it used to be a plantation. It oozed southern charm and luxury. The southern charm attracted her. She had missed being in the south so much. The luxury though intimidated and scared her. Rogue was a humble soul. She wasn't the gold digging type. She was even uncomfortable at Xavier's mansion. All that could consolidate her was that she only had one room there. The rest were either shared or other peoples rooms. She didn't know how Remy could live here. Sure, it was mighty impressive, but wouldn't he get lonely in such a big place? Then she remembered he had said he would train her at her place. Maybe that was why he was going back with her. To have company. Not for me. Some reason that thought made her heart clench in pain.
Realising Remy had already left the truck she quickly took off her seat belt and forced herself to think about other things. She got out of the truck and made sure it was all locked before jogging to catch up with Remy. She watched him as he walked in. She wasn't sure how he felt about his own home. She tried to read the emotions on his face and body language but came up with nothing. He was either good at hiding these type of things or she was really bad at reading other people. Biting her lip she glanced around the hallway, noticing how big and long it was along with the paintings. They all looked like they were by famous artists, and one of a kinds. Expensive in other words. Possibly worth millions. Just what had she gotten herself into? Rogue had felt she didn't deserve Remy and wasn't good enough before they come to his house. Now she felt the same thing but ten fold. It was severely crippling and depressing. She could never be worthy of him; and that was the reality she was going to have to accept now.
She was an orphan, technically. Her adoptive parents wanted nothing to do with her. She had no idea who her biological parents were. Logan no longer need her as he once did since he know had his own real life daughter. Bobby had never needed her. He just liked being seen as the good guy who was doing the untouchable girl a favour. She was a leech. She hadn't managed to finish high school so she had no qualifications from there. She had studied at Xavier's of course, but that didn't feel quite... an accomplishment anyway. She had nothing to offer. She couldn't even give Remy a simple kiss. She sighed deeply, running a hand through her hair. Rogue forced herself to look fine, even though she was sad and hurting on the inside. Upon hearing her stomach rumble she glanced down at her stomach with a blush on her cheeks. Had it really been so long since she had last eaten?
"Um, ahm sorry. Ah didn't think it had been so long since ah had eaten."

Remy hated it here. He didn't even know why he bothered coming here really, they were better off just sharing a room down at the Motel 8 or something instead of staying in this god forsaken place. To be honest, there wasn't anything wrong with the place and growing up here wasn't that bad because there were always people inside it, rushing in and out to talk to his dad or maybe even to him if he was luck. Now though the place had gone quiet, almost still like as if it had been cemented into fabric of time as a symbol of something, something never aging but always so empty on the inside.
Rogue's stomach crackled and bit and he jerked his head around, laughing slightly at the noise. She explained it had been awhile since she ate and he grinned. "No worries, love. Come alone." He told her, leading the way back to the kitchen. Once they were there, Remy pulled down a skillet from the rack that hung over the stove and went to the fridge to get butter and cheese. "I hope y'haven't changed yer mind about that grilled cheese." He said with a chuckle, laying the butter and cheese on the counter top beside the stove before reaching down and pulling four slices of bread. The skillet came to temp quick, and Remy began to do his work, a practice he had cone since he was twelve.
Five minutes passed and the stove was turned off. Remy grabbed a plate from the cabinet behind him and placed the two grilled cheese sandwiches on it, cutting them both in half for her. "Here ya go." He said with a smile, handing her the plate. "Hopefully it is good. Lately I've been more of a....fast food sort a guy." He said with a chuckle, wondering if he would ever be able to explain what he does to her.
