Cable walked to the edge of the lake. It had been a while since he had visited the school things had died down of late and that was good. he lifted his hand and a ball of water floated up. his eye glowed bright as he gestured with his hand sending the ball of water flying towards him. In a few moments it was floating above his hand.
Slowly the water started to change shape. First to a box and then to more complected things. He needed to work on his fine control as much as his gross. he could smash a mountain with a smal gesture but also he could build small devices and all this needed training. He sensed some one walking up behind him. He did not say anything if they wanted to talk with him they would speak if not well that was fine.

Kurt had had enough of the noise at the school he ported to a forest that he knew of close by, The quiet sounds instantly relaxing him and soothing the head ache he had. Sitting on a branch he listened to the sounds around him, that was until something caught his eye. He saw water rising from a lake and changing shape right in front of him he moved toward it and watched it was then he noticed a man stood beside the water drooping from the tree he walked over to him .
" Zat is a neat trick" he said as he watched his head slightly turned in fascination at the sight of it. " I'm Kurt Wagner " he said and offered his three fingered blue hand to him " all I can zoo is teleport and zick to walls like spiderman" he said chuckling.

" I know we have meet before Kurt in the labs when you came to collect the new part for the danger room." cable smiled his eye glowing bright. surly Kurt could of not forgotten how many half robotic men with glowing eyes did you meet in a year. For some reason Kurt had not been one of the people who had come to resque Xavier from his island the team that had come had shocked him. of course scot had been there and jean. he did think that it would of been the main team.
Even a time travel could be supervised from time to time and that was one of the biggest Surprises. Several other thing had not happened most of them because of him a kill here and an Assassination there had done it. He looked at the blue man with interest. "I am cable." he did not take the mans had at all.

Kurt looked at cable and with drew his hand with a sigh " zits ok most people wouldn't vant to touch the blue demon" he said and ported to a branch " I do remember you, but some zings get so mixed up, I forget, please for give me mister Cable" he said and looked at him with his yellow eyes " zo what brings you all the way out here?" he asked looking at the lake and the forest all around not that he was particularly bothered he had come out to get some quiet away from the school. " zou need another piece of equipment?" he asked " I would be glad to help " her offered " maybe a sparing partner?" he offered. It had been quiet of late and he felt his fighting skills were rusty.

Cable laughed. "What i use is out of your field Night crawler and as for sparing, lets say your not a challenge for me. I could shut down your body with a simple thought or snap every bone in your body before you can port out of the way. I can track your energy signature so i know were you will appear or read you mind so i can know what your next move is as quickly as you can make you mind up. Thats if i let you see me.
I am here to Train my fine skills. I am not the touching type and were i am from we don't shake hands that often." He did feel bad that he did not take his hand it was a custom of this time. Kurt was the soul of the x men and long may that last.

Things were quite and Nick was bored. Boredom was never a good thing for Nick, Sunrider and Darkside liked to take advantage of Nick's idle thoughts, and use them as a way to take over. Nick could hear Sunrider talking in his ear, taunting him, waiting for his mental shields to weaken so that he could take over. Luckily for Nick Darkside was asleep, he always slept during the day. Nick never quite understood why his separate personalities always wanted to suppress his own, Darkside and Sunrider were significantly weaker than the Nick/DarkLight personality. Nick needed to do something, so off he went towards the lake, where he could sit alone and train.
Nick saw Nightcrawler, and another man he didn't know, were also at the lake as well, Nick guessed he wouldn't be alone, oh well. Nick sat down a little ways away and began with a simple technique, he called it counting the shadows, Nick found it quite useful when Sunrider was trying to take over, because it forced Nick to use Darkside's powers, during the day when Darkside was no threat. Nick focused in on his shadow, one shadow, Nick focused his energy, now there were two shadows, Nick repeated the process creating aditional shadows where they shouldn't be, Sunrider's voice was already quieting down.

cable stood there he could feel a mind and it was split in three. "interesting" he mumbled he stood there not moving but spoke clearly. "you know you are welcome to join in this conversation if you wish Nick." he smiled the boy was young and had clearly was still battling the other parts of his mind but he could feel the inner determination that came from him.
He slowly turned around to face the boy, cables glowing eye was shining bright. he wondered about a lot of things would this boy be one of the one to die. The name nick did not ring any bells. Then again he probaly used his mutant name and that could be checked.

Nick took another breath, he was up to 15 shadows, but something was wrong, for just an instant it felt like there were 3 other people in Nick's head, was someone reading his mind, or was he developing a fourth personality, that would really suck.
Nick heard the man talking to him, was he a telepath, Nick had no idea. "Oh what conversation, what's the subject of discussion?"

Kurt looked at cable he was going to reply but the sound of foot steps made him port to a nearby tree above a young boy. As he looked down he slowly hung by his tail " well hello " he said his yellow eye scanning the boy for any sign if he was good or bad though he thought being so young he was from the school that he had just left an hour ago he watched him walk to cable and shook his head as he saw him separate into several people.
" That's a neat trick" he thought and ported back to the lake side sitting on a rock," Nicholas Barton that's who you are " he said softly not sure if the boy could hear him. He wasn't bothered ether way as he was there to relax and rid his head of the head ache that had come from the noisy students. He looked at cable and Nicholas waiting his tail moving back and forth behind him as he sat.

(occ Nick never separated into other people, he has 3 personalities, and can split his shadow, but his body stayed one.)
Nick looked over at Nightcrawler, tracking his movements as he ported from place to place. Kurt was quite a character, Nick hadn't gone on too many missions with Kurt, so they didn't know each other really, Nick was also much younger than Kurt, at age 21.
Nick was surprised Kurt even knew his name, if Kurt hadn't been famous, and blue Nick probably wouldn't have known him. "Ya, That's my name, hello to you too.

((oops my bad)) Kurt looked at him and stood to his full height as he crossed to where the boy stood. " what brings you here?" he asked " too much noise or just for some fresh air " he asked his fingers now holding a set of rosary beads he had taken out of his pocket as he stood he rolled each bead through his fingers as if in silent prayer as he stood. He knew the boy was younger than he and much less experienced though he was open to all who wished to talk to him as very few hung around long enough to find his quiet, thoughtful side. Most he found just ran at the sight of him. All but a few , storm , cable, Xavier, even wolverine had his moments that he liked him.
But mostly he was alone some times that's what he needed but not today today he was glad of company and smiled best he could with out showing his sharp teeth to the boy " I know we have been on missions before, I also know we have not formally been introduced , my name is Kurt Wagner also known as night crawler " he said and held out his three fingered blue hand to him.

Nick looked at Nightcrawler, he was quite a sight, he was almost horrific, but Nick wasn't afraid, he didn't judge. Kurt's question made Nick smile, because both were true, but he couldn't escape the noise that was bothering him, no matter where Nick was. "Air"
Nick graciously accepted Kurt's hand, Nick was more than happy to. "Nick Barton, or DarkLight."

Cable smiled it was not the kind of talk he enjoyed. He was listening to some thing interesting in new york. well it was good to see he was still a round now it was time for him to have a talk with a new friend. "body slide by one" with that cable faded away from the lake the water he had been controlling fell with a splash
