2 AM
Nick couldn't sleep so he'd cone out to the Japanese Garden to practice his new powers. Nick fished around in his pockets and pulled out three portable lights, Nick placed the lights in the trees, making many additional pools of light for him to use. Nick stepped into a pool of light, and focused on the light, Nick let the light envelop him and replace his body. Soon Nick's whole body was made of light, it felt good it felt natural.
Nick sat down on the ground and focused on his hand, allowing the hand to become a sword, then Nick changed it back. His new power was so amazing.

She was in the forest gathering wild food for herself, things like leafes, a pheason or two. She put the pheasons in two of her pouches on her back and took her bloody spear and was cleaning it when she saw a bright light not that far from herlef. She looked up at the moon, insinctivlely figuring the time. She had learned this method of telling time wheile in the wilderness. what was a light doing here at 2 am?? This was not good! She reached back toward her shiled and held it in frióont of herself and also took her spear. She galloped towards the light and when she was who it was she haulted and just stood there. She looked at her own brother and just stood there speachless and looked like she was going to cry.

Nick heard it before he saw it, a rustling sound in the woods nobody was up right now, which meant there must be something dangerous coming. As the person got closer their silhouette became clear, they were large, very large, and Nick thought he could see the outline of a spear, it was armed.
Nick activated his new defense mechanism, and let himself fade into the light in the background, now Nick would be perfectly concealed.
As the thing moved closer, Nick saw it, it was a girl but she was half horse, who was she, and why was she looking at him like that as his body melted into the light?

The guy looked so familiar that she was sure that it was him! " i... i know you... Nick... do you even remember who i am? " Centaura asked smiling and also her eyes where teary. She was never so happy before in her life! She eased the grip on her spear and shook her head.
" so you are a mutant too... heh... you are Nick Barton no? " She asked just to make sure.

Who was this girl, she was talking to Nick like they had known each other from childhood, but Nick would have remembered meeting a horse girl. That only left one question how did the girl know his name? "Yes that's my name."
