Adam could be seen sitting at a table in the new room that he was given in the Weapon X facility looking down at his new drivers license and social security card that was given to him for his next mission. The room itself was as large as a normal bedroom with metal walls, a single light bulb that was hanging from the ceiling, a bed and a single table to the right of the room. Adam didn't really have time to get used to the room since he officially became X-24 only yesterday, and since he was going to leave the facility in two days, he didn't think he would. According to the mission briefing, he was tasked with the job of infiltrating the Brotherhood under the name Adam Black. and reporting any terrorist activities that Magneto has planned.
As he tried to memorize the social security card, he couldn't help but think of all of the friends that were deemed failures and died because of it. When he first learned what happened, he couldn't help be be relieved that he didn't doe before feeling guilty about feeling that. There were many times that he tried to convince himself that they would have wanted to die instead of suffering from the horrible side effects that he didn't have, but in the end, he always came to the conclusion that it was just plain wrong.
I shouldn't be thinking about this. I should be thinking about being outside in the real world and not wearing this black SWAT team looking uniform all day. Besides, as a weapon, I should be focusing on what I'm supposed to do instead of thinking about the past. I did it once before after I was brought here and I can do it again thought Adam as he took he looked at the set of street clothes he was given for the mission, which laid on the right side of the table.

Ace wasn’t sure why they had been wanting him to speak to some kid, a new member of the team that was about to infiltrate the brotherhood for them, the original idea had been for him to go with him to keep the kid safe but then that idea had been killed because of the fact that they wanted Ace to keep the government safe for if Magneto had attacked the president. Ace didn’t like that idea but he had done as he was told and had waited to be told for what he was meant to do next. Hence why he was talking to the kid.
He presumed that they just wanted to wisen the kid up to the fact that even though they where elite fighters and mutants the world was a different place. It hadn’t been like they had told him to rough the kid up so he presumed that they wanted him to look out for the kid. He didn’t have a problem with that, the kid was one of them and was a member of weapon X, therefore he would protect him as much as he could and if the kid did need him then he would do what he could to help him, he wasn’t some white knight that would ride in on a horse and protect him but at the same time he would probably take a bullet for the kid.
Ace had seen a lot of the new weapon X operatives die, he had seen Deathstryke die from security footage, needless to say he wasn’t the best man to speak to about that, yet at the same time he would do what was best for the team and would do what they wanted. Entering the room he looked at X-24, this was clearly a kid but Ace knew that he was powerful and could handle himself.
“So,” he said “your first field mission without one of us in the shadows close by as possibly needed backup, do you feel ready?”

Adam turned to the door as soon as it started to open, and when it was opened fully, Adam saw a huge man that appeared to be as tough as nails and as bad ass as the WWE wrestler known as the Rock. Adam never met the man before, but he knew who he was since Weapon X showed him some pictures, along with names of some of the operatives that he might work with. "Don't worry, I don't need any back up. Going undercover is basically acting for a very long period of time and Weapon X has made sure that I can manage that" said Adam with a confident smirk on his face while seeming very sure of himself. After all, acting was his forte and even talking about it was enough to put the entire incident of losing his friends in the back of his mind for now.
Adam would then reach into the bag of clothes and took out a pair of leather gloves before putting them on. He really didn't like wearing the gloves when he was by himself in his room or eating, but since there was someone else here, he knew that he had to or he might accidentally kill the guy. He would then get up from the chair and extended his right hand towards Ace before saying "By the way, my name is Adam Bishop, what's yours?"

Ace had to admit that the kid was confident, that was something that the kid liked, of course he was right and he only had to go undercover but that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t have back up, all of weapon X would be watching the kids back as well as being ready to strike on Magneto . being the eldest Ace had seen a lot of the new generation come through the ranks and he had seen a lot of them die, but this kid seemed confident and that was important, being confident in yourself and your abilities was the first step to staying alive in Ace’s eyes.
He just wished that some of the ones that had died had been able to survive, Deathstryke had by far been his favourite, she was silent but deadly and had been easily underestimated, but not by him and he had seen her as a friend and ally, yet he was in the process of planning her revenge, he hadn’t told weapon X yet as he didn’t want to know their reaction to him killing their prize project. As Adam put his gloves on Ace kept a note on the man’s hands but knew that he couldn’t use his powers with gloves on as he had read his file. “Nice to meet you,” he said shaking his hand “you can call me Ace.”

"Nice to meet you too Ace. Before you ask, I don't have any kind of phobia of germs, it's just that my power absorption ability can kill you if you touch me long enough and it's very painful. I also can't turn it off, so it's best to be careful when you're near me said Adam after he gave Ace a firm strong handshake. This was the first time Adam had warned anybody about his power, and he of course knew that he would be telling people he meets about this for as long as he lives. This also meant that it would be almost impossible for him to live a normal life or have any kind of physical relationship with anybody he might fall in love with.

Ace was surprised when the young man pretty much opened up to him for some reason, even though he had read the younger guy’s file he hadn’t expected him to be very open about himself because of the fact that Ace wasn’t that open about himself and he wouldn’t have been so open with the young man if the roles had been reversed. “It is fine,” he said shrugging “I had read your file so I knew about your powers I don’t like to be under informed because of the fact it could lead to me taking risks now do you need to know anything before you go?”

Adam would then take a second to think about any questions he could ask before he went on the mission, mostly because he didn't even think about them. He would then think about the possible mutants he might meet and the abilities they posses. "What do you think I should do if I were to encounter a telepath in the Brotherhood? I mean with just one look into my mind, he or she might discover my true identity and mission, and I might not even know about it before it's too late" asked Adam.

When the young man spoke Ace had to admit that he had a good point. However he had a similar problem not long after he had joined the team, all he had done was threw up fake memories and tried to push the person out of his mind and it had then seemed to work, he didn’t know if that would work for Adam though and he didn’t know if he had just been mentally stronger than the telepath. “You could try pushing them out of your mind or throwing up false information,” he said “if you do get found out though we can get to you easily enough.”

"But isn't it pretty much impossible to tell if a telepath is reading your mind unless your a telepath your or have some kind of resistance to it? I mean, I might not know if my mind has been read until it's too late to call for extraction" explained Adam after Ace told him to throw up fake memories to fool the telepath. Hmmm... Maybe if I use my charm ability enough times, whatever telepath I might encounter might trust me to the point where he doesn't need to read my mind thought Adam as he tried to think his way through this possible problem.

Ace nodded at the younger man’s comments he was smart he would give him that but Ace had been in this business a lot longer and he knew exactly how it worked and what would be required from him. He also knew that if the kid had wanted backup he would have been stationed as close to the kid as possible and he wouldn’t have let any harm befall him, maybe let him get the crap scared out of him but no physical harm as they where a team and at the end of the day the team was about protecting each other and not killing each other. “A weak telepath you can feel in your mind, at most you will have a level two mutant telepath and if you get into trouble we’ll give you an alarm or something and I’ll drop in if needed.”

"That's good to know" said Adam recalling from his briefing that Magneto mostly had mutants that were class 3 and below under his command. Those that were above were usually around Magneto, so it shouldn't be too hard to determine who he should really have to worry about. "So, have you done an undercover mission like this?" asked Adam hoping that he could get some advice from someone who has actually done this in a real life situation instead of the situations created by Weapon X to train their spies.

Ace nodded, he knew that it would be hard for him to help Adam because of the fact because of the fact that Magneto controlled metal and he was full of Adamantium but he would do his best to do what he would to help the guy, such as causing distractions but that didnt mean that he would be the one that they called upon perhaps as there had been a lot of mutants in weapon X that didn’t have adamantium in them. “I have done a lot of undercover work but not for research,” he said “my undercover work normally end with my target in the morgue if I am being honest.”
