Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Blade's boots crunched against the litter lining the alleys, as he gazed through his shades to analyze his surroundings. The alleyway was dimly lit from the above moonlight and reeked of the men who had passed out near a dumpster, cheap booze with a hint of something more repulsive. As his eyes wavered over the two man, drooling in their comatose state, his eyes trailed down to just above the trim of their dirty down jackets, the unmistakable imprint of the vampire shown, two small incisions that showed they had been bit, A smirk slowly formed across Blade's face, one sharpened canine making it's appearance between his curled lips. This was feeling to be a little too easy, as this particular group of vampires seemed to have no worries in disguising themselves as to not be discovered. This made Blade's job a little easier, as his gloved hand reach for the hilt of the blade sheathed upon his back. As the sword was drawn, his grip tightened as he pulled it before his eyes. In a split second he thrusted forward with the blade, taking careful precision in skewering the two drunken victims. The blade plunged effortlessly into the chest of the first man, reaching outward to shear through the second slumped against the first. It was not Blade's intention to harm a human, yet they had been bitten, so they may as well have been vampires already. As the katana receded, Blade muttered a few curses under his breath as he stood back upwards before the two corpses, his head turning following the walls of the building for any indication of anything out of the ordinary, namely a foreign symbol. Wiping the blade of the bloody residue dripping from its gleaming surface, he resheathed the katana, his patience wearing thin. His gaze couldn't detect anything other than the two victims laying dead at his feet, even a certain hieroglyph he was hoping to find wasn't there, yet the unmistakable aroma of black blood lingered in his nostrils, alerting him to the presence of the sanguinarians lurking in the area. There were rumours of several covens of the parasitic vampires seen around the area, so he knew they were around, even to the extent he could taste their cursed blood upon his tongue, nearly making him vomit. Nevertheless, Blade had to bide his time until a valuable ally came. All that there was to do at this point was locate the hideout and await the arrival of his daughter... ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The effect it has on life itself is a cancer on its source I rue the moments spent between the fetish and the flame Until this war is over I won't ever lose my rage TAG :: Skylar Eva Brooks NOTES :: A fated meeting.... You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Word gets around that someone was in town killing bloodsuckers, and Sky hasn’t been the one doing it. Rumors were that a large dark man carrying various weapons, mostly of the bladed variety, was the one dealing death to the vampires. She knew immediately who these rumors might be about, and smiled to herself. She dressed in her usual attire for vampire killing, and took out her sword from lock up before sheathing it at her back. Soon she was armed and ready for a nice long hunt. She then stood at an open window and looked over her shoulder, making sure no one saw her before jumping out and sailing down from the second story room she had just been in. Just like she was taught, she let her instincts take over and landed with a thud. She then began to run toward the city, and easily jumping the containing wall of the grounds of the mansion.
Her journey toward where she thought her father would be, was not uneventful on her part. She had of course ran into a few nomadic vampires, that really didn’t belong to any house, and she quickly took care of them in a dance like swings of her sword. She then took the time to wipe the blood from it, and resheathed it on her back. Of course just to be on the safe side, she was looking for hieroglyphs detailing of a safe house that could possibly be nearby. Unfortunately, there were none. The bloodsuckers might have gotten smart and started to hide their hieroglyphs more carefully from us… She thought as she continued on her way.
Sky soon found what she was looking for, as death hung in the air. Her hands flew to the silver stakes that she had strapped to her thigh just in case she was ambushed as she followed the trail of Blade through the alleyways, and soon came across a very familiar scene. The man that practically taught her everything she knew, and raised her stood over to bodies that looked like they were slumped over sleeping. But the scent of blood spilled about confirmed that wasn’t the case. She smiled at the remaining figure standing over them and relaxed her grip on the stakes. She didn’t bother hiding her teeth from him, as he had seen them plenty times before. ”You called for me?” She announced her arrival as she walked closer to him.
She eyed his handy work, and nodded her head once. Two less vampires the world has to worry about. Her senses picked up that there was several covens nearby, and she couldn’t help the toothed grin the thought of exterminating them brought her. Sure they were not purebloods, but they still were vampires and they had to be taken care of. Besides, she was itching for a hunt since Alex had brought her that school. She looked at her father, questioning him if they were indeed going to be hunting the covens they both were nearby. She was ready for a good hunt, and her father does the best. Everyone knows that.

Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Giving a good kick to the corpses that laid before him, Blade proceeded in checking the area around the dumpster, finding what he had expected. A small sigil carved into the stone just behind the dumpster. Having recently made his way back from Greece, he recognized the symbol as that of the Empuse, yet they had been evading him as of late. As he ran his fingers over the engraved sigil, a unexpected noise caused him to bolt upwards, his hand reaching into his coat to pull out a small elliptical object, curved blades ejecting outwards as his thumb pressed the button upon the device. As his head rotated around to see who had disturbed him, he found a familiar face looking at him. As his lip curled into a smirk, his fangs glimmered in the halflight as he greeted the girl. "Razor, how many times have I said not to sneak up on your father?"As his gaze turned back towards the hieroglyph, his smirk would remain across his face. As his head turned back towards his daughter, his features were now back to their usual cold demeanor. "I trust you've been doing well with the exterminations, Razor? It would appear that I have come across a new organization of these bloodsuckers, the source of the infestation rooted across the seas in Greece. They call themselves the Empuse and their lineage date back to ancient times." Blade's hand drifted back over his sunglasses, his fingers pulling them off and placing them in his pocket as his livid brown eyes surveyed his daughter. "Of course, they still have tainted blood, so of course, we'll be doing them a favor by destroying their covens situated here in New York." Blade would kneel back down by the dumpster, as his fingers gripped the bottom. With a quick assertion of energy, Blade heaved the dumpster over to reveal the sigil emblazoned behind the trash bin, the elegant curves in conjunction with the swift strokes proving that this was the safehouse he had been searching for. "I've tracked them to this location. I hope you're ready to assist your father once more, Razor."As Blade's shades came back on, he let another smirk cross his face as he glanced towards one of the nearby entrances. "Well, shall we?"^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The effect it has on life itself is a cancer on its source I rue the moments spent between the fetish and the flame Until this war is over I won't ever lose my rage TAG :: Skylar Eva Brooks NOTES :: LYRICS :: Child Of Burning Time by Slipknot CREDIT:CATACLYSM!!!

You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sky wanted to kick the two corpses as well, just to add insult to injury. As if to tell them ‘that is what happens when you get bitten’. Instead, she turned her attention toward her father who was looking behind a dumpster. She tried to quietly get closer to him, thinking that more bloodsuckers were nearby, but she of course somehow made a noise as she did so. She was then quickly face to face with her father holding one of his many bladed weapons as if he was about to use it on her before he recognized who she was. ”I’m sorry Blade. I thought that perhaps there might be other bloodsuckers nearby.” She responded to his question about sneaking up on him.
The blond daywalker nodded her head in answer to his question about exterminating the bloodsuckers in the city. Well at least the ones she had happened across. She listened to him explain what he was doing here. A new house? That was rarely unheard of, and she saw him take off his shades so she can see his brown eyes looked her over. He then continued on to say that they are still tainted and needed to be exterminated, at least the ones in New York. She then watched as he tossed the dumpster on it’s side to reveal the new glyph. Her eyes shown recognition as she saw the sign. She had seen similar glyphs over the city, hidden but she didn’t know what it meant as she hadn’t ever run across it before. Her father wasn’t in touch to ask him if it was of any importance.
"I've tracked them to this location. I hope you're ready to assist your father once more, Razor. Well, shall we?"
Sky slipped her shades on her face, something she had picked up from him through the years, and smirked as well. Her hand griped the hilt of her favorite sword and nodded her head. ”We spilt up, back them into a corner? Or we go in together?” She asked him, her mind already on the extermination ahead. She would follow his lead, but what she didn’t know was that if this new group would be prepared for them and be awaiting their arrival.

Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Blade's face remained unchanged as his gaze was focused intently on the door, his lip twitching slightly as his fangs shown. He did not want to rush the vampires lurking nearby, for it would alert the vampire noble in control. His boots beginning to shuffle towards the door, he halted, looking back at his daughter, who had taken to putting on her own pair of shades. "There is a good chance they will probably be expecting an intruder. So regardless, we will be walking into a trap. Best be prepared."As Blade's gloved hand pushed the old metal door open, a squeaking sound indicated the door was in disrepair. As the door swung open, Blade found himself thinking what a perfect hideout for these pathogens. From the outside, it appeared to be an unoccupied building in a ghetto community. As Blade's eyes darted to the end of the hall he was now, his fingers found their way into the confines of his coat, his grip tightening steadily on the butt of a handgun hidden within. The halls remained quiet except for the echo his boots made with each step, the crunching across the walls with were adorned with a variety of graffiti gathered over the years As he turned around the corner, he glanced back at the agape door, making a quick motion to his daughter to follow him with his free hand. As his eyes returned to their original position, he focused on the emergence of a staircase leading downwards. Making his descent down, Blade's senses were acutely tuned to his surrounding, awaiting for the smallest sign of life. The unsettling silence was eerie enough, broken only by the occasional scuttle of a cockroach darting out in front of him. Yet as his foot left the bottom step, a new sound could be heard, a slight rumbling in what seemed to be best described as music. Blade's lips contorted themselves into a smirk as he whispered to himself. "Got ya."^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The effect it has on life itself is a cancer on its source I rue the moments spent between the fetish and the flame Until this war is over I won't ever lose my rage TAG :: Skylar Eva Brooks NOTES :: Like Father, like Daughter LYRICS :: Child Of Burning Time by Slipknot CREDIT:Cataclysm...

You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sky had been on a few killings with her father, especially if he needed any help with cleaning up a large coven. So from she already knew that they would have to travel below ground to get to the group of bloodsuckers. She watched as he entered the building, and she momentarily stood there trying to come up with a backup plan in case their usual one didn’t pan out. Before she knew it, her father was already inside and at a corner. He didn’t have to motion twice for her to follow, and she quickly and quietly followed him and down. She had no trouble hearing the scurry of insects and rodents run about as she descended downward after her father, it was deadly silent after all. Her hand gripping the hilt of her sword for good measure. When they came to the very bottom landing, the noise that could only be described as a rumble with some kind of beat quickly gathered her attention.
”Got ya.”
They got them alright, but the young daywalker bit her bottom lip in thought. If this was the only ingress and egress point, then they would be out numbered and like he mentioned earlier, walking into a trap. This wasn’t good from the get go, and her hand tightened on her sword. ”This feels…off. I just can’t put my finger on what it is…” She whispered to her father, knowing full well that he had no trouble hearing her. She heard the rumbling of the music on the other side of the door, that much she knew. But as she listened some more, she couldn’t hear anything else. And that worried her, as there should be something else masked with that noise. Something that they both had encountered while exterminating covens like this. As she leaned in closer, she closed her eyes and concentrated on her hearing. She was trying to see if she was missing something, and she wasn’t. she was trained well.
Sky’s eyes snapped open as if finally dawned on her what she wasn’t picking up on. She turned to face her father, hand on the doorknob to keep it closed a bit longer. ”No one is dancing, enjoying themselves.” She finally told him in a whisper like before. She knew that the bloodsuckers who usually attended these things like to dance and have fun, especially if they had dragged innocent humans inside with them. Luckily she didn’t hear any heartbeats inside. ”No humans either.” She added.

Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ As Blade watched his daughter, Razor, maneuver towards the door, the music seemed to fade away as a new sound took it's place. A slow hymn of soft voices begun to chant, the music now becoming softer along with the symphony of voices, leading to a perfect melancholy of sound. A dampered whisper escaped from his lips directed towards Skylar as her hand gripped the doorknob. "Proceed with caution. These are no ordinary bloodsuckers." That much he was sure of. There was no indication that the vampires near the entrance knew of what took place down here. His thoughts were interrupted by a shrill hiss that seemed to echo through the room adjacent to the closed door they were now at, the agony clearly emphasized in the distorted cry, the voices beginning to rise once again. Blade's hand reached down towards Razor's, his hand now resting on hers, still on the doorknob as he made a slight nod, indicating they would have to go through with it. As his hand began to turn the doorknob, the hymn of voices ceased as a single voice rose above the others with another dry hiss through the crack of the door. "Macta en eam..... "Blade caught the words or a rough interpretation, yet he remained unfamiliar with the dialect. It was obvious they had stumbled on something they shouldn't have, but all the same, these seemed of the demonic variety, so they had to be stopped regardless. As Blade let out a sigh, he glanced once more at his daughter before pushing the door open further, as his trench coat fluttered behind him, his hand pulling out the small firearm he had concealed as he lunged into the fray, letting his finger squeeze the trigger as he shot off a few rounds towards the cloaked figures awaiting them in the room. As the bullets flew, the hooded sanguinarians turned towards the source of the noise, the whites of their fangs bared as their billowing ebony robes billowed behind them, their forms seemingly dispersing into mist as the bullets hit the corpse of a solitary vampire nailed to a large silver crucifix, the eyes vacant and the features horribly burned. The vampire looked upwards as the bullets pierced the skin, another shrill scream escaped from it's mouth the fangless gums apparent as it was engulfed in flames. Blade's own lips curled into a sneer as his eyes darted around to see where the group had gone, a hiss of his own escaping from his lips towards his daughter. "Don't let them escape..."The effect it has on life itself is a cancer on its source I rue the moments spent between the fetish and the flame Until this war is over I won't ever lose my rage TAG :: Skylar Brooks NOTES :: A ceremony to remember.... You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ After relaying her information she had gathered to her father, Sky heard the music fade and then a chorus of voices started to chant. The voices and music started to mix into the same song, and she let the puzzlement cross her face. What the hell is going on in there?! She thought to herself, the urge to now just throw the door open and rush in just so she knew what is going on inside. The only thing that stopped her was her father’s soft whisper telling her to proceed with caution as they are facing no ordinary bloodsuckers. Then a different sound emerged from the chanting voices as a soft, weak scream erupted further inside. Memories of what Dante had done to her for three years surfacing, and she snarled a bit louder than she indented with her own set of fangs showing.
Her father’s hand was soon on hers, bringing her back to the present and watch him nod his head slightly. She knew they were going to have to get to it sooner or later, and she allowed him to open the door. As it swung open, one loan voice was clearly now louder than the others. She knew what the rough translation was, and she was even more puzzled by what they had just stumbled upon. However only one thing was going through her mind, and that was to kill all of them inside the room. She watched as he rushed into the room, his favorite coat billowing behind him as he went. She watched as he pulled out one of his many handguns that were modified to end a bloodsucker’s life. She had unsheathed her sword, and followed him. She kicked the door closed behind her, cutting off the only exit to the windowless room.
Blade had fired off a few shots, and the vampires they were about to kill turned and seemed snarled at them. They were clearly not happy that they were interrupted, and bared their fangs at them before they faded into a mist. Sky’s father’s shots traveled right through them, and hit the figure that was literally nailed to a silver crucifix, engulfing the tortured vampire in flames. She had felt a pang of pity for the thing, knowing what it was like to be tortured and experimented on. Her father’s hiss brought her back into focus quickly, and noticed he did not like this. It was evident by the sneer that that was on his lips.
â€Don’t let them escape…â€
She had no indention on letting them leave in one piece. Her favorite sword at the ready, and like her father was looking around in an effort to spot the black hooded robed figures. Then she felt something stir behind her, in the air, it was minute but it was enough to tell her that something was behind her. She waited for her nose to pick up the stench of the bloodsucker before she acted. With the scent, she was sure they were solid once more. She jerked her sword backward, stabbing the figure and twisting it just as she felt two hand touch her shoulders as if it was going to grab her. She smiled with satisfaction as she heard the familiar burning of the bloodsucker’s body turn to ash. With one down, she returned to guarding the door to keep the others inside. â€No one is getting by me!†She hissed back, her anger of what happened to her from the time she was five until she killed Dante and escaped at the age of eight boiling right under the surface.

Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Blade's eyes darted back and forth, looking for the cloaked sanguinarians as a brief gust of wind came from behind them followed by the strong scent of decay. Skylar had skewered the first as the fiend hissed violently, it's body sent into furious spasms before combusting into an inferno of flames with one last ear wrenching shriek. Blade's face watched Skylar make her way back to the door to prevent the others from escaping their fated demise. Yet there was something off, Blade was sure of it. Perhaps it was those shadows on the walls nearing his daughter, as his eyes caught the faint glimpse of a demonic clawed hand beginning to rematerialized as a icy wind sent shivers up his spine. He would have to act fast.. As Blade threw the small handgun into the air, his hands sunk swiftly into his coat. In a brief instance, his hands flew from the confines of his trench, two swirling bladed projectiles shot past Skylar's face, sent crashing into the emerging limbs on either side in an impressive display of gore. The agonizing shrieks of the vampires ensued once more as their bodies shot out, clutching the stubs of their amputated limbs as they rushed towards the door, forsaking the limbs they had lost. As Blade's gun fell back into his expecting hand, he let another shot fire, the impact hitting the first demon in the back of its skull, as the subsequent burst of light caused the creature to stumble a few paces before crashing to the ground in a blaze of flames. His eyes swiftly darted towards the other as he snarled, leaving the third for Razor. Another shadow caught the corner eye, swiftly darting through the door during the midst of the confusion, headed towards the stairs, an icy gale kicking up behind the apparition as it sped up the stairs. Blade had no doubt that that vampire was the head of this coven, so the new objective was to capture the fiend and make him talk. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The effect it has on life itself is a cancer on its source I rue the moments spent between the fetish and the flame Until this war is over I won't ever lose my rage TAG :: Skylar Brooks NOTES :: They seem pretty average, so what's up? You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sky had taken care of one bloodsuckers, and stood guard at the door. Her senses on high alert, and something was slithering down her spine as her gut knotted itself. Her senses and body was telling her that something was wrong, almost off and she was certain her father knew it as well. Her head keep sweeping the room, looking for the others to solidify again, so she can swing her sword once more and burn the vampires to ash. She saw the shadows out of the corner of her eye, but thought it was being cast from the lone swinging light in the middle of the room. She didn’t think much on it, but that would have been a mistake on her part.
She saw Blade throw his pistol into the air to free both hands for his blades which he removed from inside his trench coat, and then sent them sailing threw the air in her direction. She knew that he wouldn’t hurt her, so there was something behind her that he was aiming for. So she knew better to move an inch as he threw his bladed projectiles. The screams and hisses of pain behind her told her that they had hit their mark, and it was soon followed by a shot from the handgun that was now back in her father’s hand. The bloodsucker was shot in the back of its head and busted into flame to be turned into ash. She wasted no time in swinging her sword toward the other handless creature, her blade cutting through the neck like warm butter. She then lifted her foot, and kicked the thing in the chest to separated the head from the body. As both parts fell to the ground, the body was consumed in flames and then landed into a pile of ash.
Sky turned toward her responsibility of the door, to find that it was wide open and the tail end of a black cloak disappeared into the stairwell. ”Oh, no you don’t…” She hissed at the figure as she took off after it, and knew that she wouldn’t have much trouble catching up with it. Unlike her father’s vampire side, the vampire that she came from was of course a pureblood and that line has some advantages over those that were turned. She didn’t claim to know everything, and knew that her father might not be pleased that she gave chase to the figure that was currently trying to escape them. Soon she was right on top of the vampire, and she lunged at it sending both of them into the stairs. She had a feeling that her father wanted to talk to this one, as she had pegged this thing as the head bloodsucker around here.
It did not surprise her that the figure had tried to fight her off by first kicking her, and then punching her. But of course, she was faster that this thing could punch. When it figured that kicking and punching was not going to help, it tried to use it’s mouth and bite her. It did managed to get her hand with it’s teeth, and she hissed out loud in pain before punching it in the face hard enough to knock it unconscious. It was then when she took a moment to look at her hand, and saw that it was bleeding pretty good. She swore a few choice words that her father might have not known she had knew, before ripping off one of her sleeves and using it as a bandage. She knew that her bleeding was not good for anything, as that was how she infected others. So once she managed to bandage up her hand, she sat on the unconscious vampire, literally, and waited for her father to catch up to them.

Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ As Blade watched his daughter effortlessly tear through the vampire's throat, kicking the torso of the miserable creature to assure the vampire was properly decapitated. Somehow about watching his daughter sever the vampire brought a warm feeling to mind. Originally it was a feeling that twenty years ago, Blade would know naught of. But that was before he took in the girl as his daughter. It was nothing more than the feeling of accomplishment a father gets when he knows the family business was in good hands. Blade doubted he would be able to extinguish this menace that plagued the world, so he had come to the realization that he needed to train a capable protege to insure his dreams come to pass.
As Blade pushed his shades upwards to cover his leering gaze, he found himself glad to have had found such a capable individual, similar to him in more ways than he had hoped. As he stepped over the piles of ash on the floor, he found Razor to have taken off after the cloaked figure which had shot through the doorway. Shrugging, a single thought entered his mind as he kept a casual pace after them. Perhaps we are a little too similar. He truely meant it, for he recognized many of his own flaws in Razor, not to mention the traditional flaws of a teenage girl. Yet she had that raw potential, Blade only needed to sculpt her into the perfect weapon against vampires, possibly even greater than he himself had been.
As Blade made his way up to them, he was caught offguard by the sight of his daughter on top of the sprawled out vampire. His eyes instantly trailed to the bloodstained piece of fabric covering her hand. He would lean down on one knee beside her, simply speaking normally in a nonchalant tone to her. "We will have to have your wound treated." It was an extra precaution, as Blade's thoughts drifted to the reaper vampires, who turned and fed upon the normal vampires. Although his voice lacked any sympathy, he truely wished the best for Razor and as the fact stood, they knew not whether this offshoot of vampires were infectious.
His fears were confirmed as he pulled his shades down to analyze the features of the vampire laying below Razor, whose midnight colored cloak now was completely agape, revealing the demon. The first interesting factor was the skin, which was a mottled, gray color, possessing runes what seemed to stretch across its body, strongly resembling Arabic letters. The next was the fact that the fiend's chest was heaving up and down with such a speed that it seemed to be breathing, and rather rapidly at that. As Blade reached down to touch the vampire's face, he brushed back the hood, revealing a balding scalp, long black hair growing from various patches of skin amidst the bald areas. Blade's hand receded as the creature's eyes shot open, two black abysses darting wildly inside its skull as it began to thrash about underneath the girl restraining it, made worse from the wound it had earlier been dealt.
Two large scaly wings shot outwards from its back as it succeeded in dislodging the girl off. Its wings subsequently folded up against its slim muscular build as the beast rocketed towards another staircase heading upwards.Blade flashed his daughter a fanged smile, before turning back to the stairs. "I wouldn't worry, the sun has just risen, which means it's just us and him." He would take a few paces forward before halting again, something apparently amusing him. "I've seen several breeds of vampires and even some demons, but I don't know what to classify this overcaffeinated abomination. For the best, let's just hope he can't stand sunlight."

You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sky sat on the bloodsucker, her wound bleeding through her sleeve, and strangely her injure was throbbing. She pushed that to the back of her mind and heard her father approach them. The vampire was of course heaving heavily as its chest rose and fell as if it was breathing like a human. She even noted the skin color and decorations on the skin, and wondered just what is going on with this thing below. Her senses picked up her father’s approach, but she didn’t dare to move her eyes from the figure below her. There was no way she was letting the bloodsucker out of her sight. She didn’t even move a muscle when she felt and heard him kneel down on one knee beside her and tell her in his usual tone that they will get her hand treated. If she didn’t know him like she did, she would have thought that he didn’t care about her, but she knew that he did. If he didn’t, he would have killed her the first time he laid eyes on her.
She only nodded her head once, to let him know that she had heard and understood him. She watched him, resisting the urge to reach out and stop him from pushing the hood off the head to reveal the features there. She was ready to punch the demon out again, but when it opened its eyes and thrashed her off, she didn’t have time to react. She didn’t think bloodsuckers had wings, and she gracefully did a flip in the air to land in a position to where she could continue to fight if needed. She lifted her head in time to see the fiend dash off toward the ground floor. She didn’t miss her father’s fanged smile, but she felt like she had failed and let the thing escape. She was going to have to work harder on her method later, but right now they had a creature to capture.
"I wouldn't worry, the sun has just risen, which means it's just us and him. I've seen several breeds of vampires and even some demons, but I don't know what to classify this overcaffeinated abomination. For the best, let's just hope he can't stand sunlight."
Sky got ready to follow him up the stairs, and then she cried out in a way she hadn’t done since she was eight. Before she killed her birth father and escaped. It was a cry of pain, and she couldn’t help but cradle her injured hand. She had thought that what Dante had put her through, nothing could ever compare but she was wrong. Her hand felt like it was on fire, literally and she tore off her makeshift bandage to stare at the wound. Only one thing came to mind, and she hoped that this wasn’t it. ”Reapers?” She asked him, holding her slowly healing hand to her chest and clenched her teeth to keep the painful burning of her hand to herself. A practice she hadn’t used in eight years, but she remembered the steps and process well.

Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Blade's eyes remained fixated on the staircase where the creature had been moments before, his speechlessness speaking volumes. Blade had never faced a vampire like this one, who seemed more on the edge of a demon then the typical parasitic vamp. He still had doubts as to whether the sunlight would halt the hellish denizen, and he preferred not to put such matters in the hands of faith. His train of thought was broken only by the sudden collapse of his daughter as she braced her injured hand. Walking up to her, Blade kneeled down beside Razor, his eyes analyzing the wounded area, his usual unwavering cold features remained as such, yet a faint look of concern was evident in his eyes. Removing his glove, he pressed his forefinger to the indentations on her arm, applying a bit of pressure, as he heard her mutter the same thing he himself had been worried about. "I doubt they're reapers, it's more likely that they are of an older lineage than the bloodsuckers we frequently encounter through New York." Blade's thoughts turned to the ceremony they interrupted. It was odd that only one of the bloodsuckers was of this unknown coven, which only led to one possible conclusion. "I believe they are turning the other vampires, trying to increase their numbers."
A large crash cuts Blade mid sentence as the sound of something shattering is heard two stories above them. Giving Skylar one last glance,Blade turns his head upwards towards the source of the noise. "You think you can hold on for a moment longer until we can get some adequate supplies?"^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The effect it has on life itself is a cancer on its source I rue the moments spent between the fetish and the flame Until this war is over I won't ever lose my rage TAG :: Skylar Eva Brooks NOTES :: The infection must die LYRICS :: Child Of Burning Time by Slipknot CREDIT:CATACLYSM!!!

You can‘t run from what you are You can‘t hide all the pain~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Sky hadn’t known she collapsed to one knee from the fire coursing through her hand and now moving up her arm. Her father walked up to her, kneeled down next to her, and watched as he looked her hand over. He looked cold and distant, but she knew he was concerned as she saw it in his eyes. Even if it was only faintly. She bit back the cry that wanted to escape when he pressed an ungloved finger against the bite, and her wound oozed a bit of a grayish liquid. He then said he doubted that this thing was a reaper, and that they are an older lineage than the normal bloodsuckers they come across. Her mind wondered over to what they interrupted, and how it seemed that only one of this new coven was there. He then added just as she thought, that they are turning other vampires to increase their own numbers. That was not sounding too good for her.
”You think you can hold on for a moment longer until we can get some adequate supplies?” \ Razor looked at her father for a moment and then looked upward at the same time. Thoughts of the bloodsucker finding a way out of the building. Her teeth gritting to keep the fiery burning at bay. There was no way in hell she was going to turn into one of those things. No fucking way. She undid her belt and in one swift movement, jerked it free to wrap it around her arm. She remembered doing something similar as a child when Dante experimented on her, and hoped it worked like it did then. She created a tourniquet, and tightly closed off the blood flow to her arm. ”Hope this works.” She finally asked him and bravely got to her feet, signaling that she was ready to continue. ”Besides, I want him to know that it isn’t polite to bite others.” She added as she made her way, even if it was unsteadily like she needed blood, up toward the crash.

Inside the absolution we succumb And appetites are bittersweet i think I'm going numb A chance to give up avarice has marked my one regret ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Blade forced back a slight chuckle as he watched the girl's resourcefulness at taking her belt and then using it to halt the blood flow to her injured arm. Razor certainly was an interesting one, but Blade knew that from the start. It was after all the reason he took her as family despite her obvious relations to the parasites he hunted. Yet he still found himself thinking two words, Smart girl, yet his lips ushered something entirely different. "Good, let's find out what that sucker's up to."Blade pulled himself to his feet, as the whoosh of his leather coat echoed through the hall, as his figure soon vanished upwards the staircase, not bothering to take further notice of his wounded daughter as he shot towards the sound which could best be described as a shrieking banshee. His feet barely touched the concrete floor as he ascended the next floor, his supernatural agility making it seem as though he flew through, a shadow of a man possessed by his inner demon. If there was one thing Blade didn't wish for, it was a new coven that could potentially rival his and his daughter's own skillsets, therefore becoming the top of the food chain without competition. Blade would put every ounce of his being into finding this vampire and forcing him to talk no matter the consequence. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ The effect it has on life itself is a cancer on its source I rue the moments spent between the fetish and the flame Until this war is over I won't ever lose my rage TAG :: Skylar Eva Brooks NOTES :: LYRICS :: Child Of Burning Time by Slipknot CREDIT:CATACLYSM!!!
