Cable stood on the top of the sky scraper his coat fluttering in the wind. This place was mad at the moment people rushing from house to house just living it was nice. His mind jumped from person to person listening to the daily grind of the world. Then some thing odd. A kid a mutant kid was about to be attacked because he had a tail. He walked around the top of the building and just walked of falling down faster and faster. Most men would be scared but cable knew this would not hurt him.
He landed between the men and the mutant boy a cloud of dust and a loud thud filled the streets. Threw the dust all that could be seen was the glow of his eye. slowly he stood up. It had been an impressive show. If it was not for his power he would of been dead but he had slowed him self down then used his T.K to make the dust and noise.
"you know if you want a mutant leave the kid alone and pick on some one who can and will fight back." the two men looked at each other and ran cable turned to the boy " run home and think about going here." he handed the boy Xavier school card "they can help you more than any one. now go." he smiled as the kid ran away. he could feel some one watching him. "now its rude to stare." he did not looka round at all.

From a nearby building, a young girl revealed herself, her raven coloured hair partially covering her eyes, matted and feral down to her shoulders. Her clothes were very much the same way, torn, worn, and possessing that same gothic punk flare, as her eyes seemed to look into the man's own, black and cold much like those of the recently deceased. A slight smirk issued across her lips upon being discovered so easily. "It would appear I've been found out. Suppose I've never had any luck with these kinds of things...."
Her eyes would continue to loom at the man, rather curious after noticing the distance he had fallen, yet he seemed to be relatively unscathed. She knew she was among mutant territory, but it was still an act to be in awe of, to defy death so effortlessly.

"Kid i have been spotting people hidden in the shadows for more years than you have been alive. That and i am a telepathic." he closed his eyes for a moment listening good the kid had gotten home all right and was talking to his parents about the leaflet. he smiled he could feel his parents wanting to say no but after a small push from cable they said yes. "well looks like Charles has a new student."
he opened his eyes as the glow from his eye flickered and made moving shadows on the walls around him. slowly he turned round and smiled at the girl. "and what is one for Xavier's students doing running round a dangerous street when she should have classes?" he looked at the girl her face did not jump out at him as some one he knew or heard of. Then again so many mutants were still alive thats should of been dead now. It was a shine that he was doing some thing right.

Running her hand through her untidy hair, Jona thought about which one Xavier was. Smirking to herself, she declared rather unenthusiastically, "Yes, decrepit old man, luminescent bald head, in a wheelchair who seems to enjoy reading the minds of juveniles." Oh yes, she remembered that one. Only reason she had got away was due to some misfortune upon the campus. "I registered with that academy, but it didn't strike me as my kind of place, so I left before taking any classes." As she looked up at the skyscrapers, her smirk grew wider as a snapping sound was heard overhead. "This place is much more lively anyway..."
She would proceed to take several steps back in anticipation for what was to come, as a large metal billboard came rocketing downward upon them. The cables to the sign apparently had snapped due to some unseen circumstance. Jona would halt, digging her hands into her pockets as she watched the faded letters of some alcoholic beverage descend closer, with an unusual interest.

cable fought back the urge to make the woman's head blow up. he looked up seeing the thing falling it stopped in mid air and then slowly moved down with a blue glow. placing down with no harm. " is suggest you lean to respect people especially a grate man like Xavier and especially to some one who could kill you with a thought." god he was glad this girl was not in his class, he would probably pound her in to the ground every week just to make a point.
cable laughed at her when she said things were more interesting then the thing with the billboard happened. "some thing to do with you?" he could find out with a thought he could do a lot more but it was not the point the poor girl was lost. It did seam that the lost tended to find cable.

Her head tilted to the side, watching the sign float lazily to the side as it levitated downwards, dropping gently to the ground. She had expected to find mutants, yet she had found such a curious individual here, easily a level four mutant at least. As she listened to the man's rabblings, she let another smirk cross her lips. "Xavier? Powerwise, perhaps, yet I find myself sympathizing more with that magneto mutant. Yet I find something lacking in both of them."
As he made a remark about her reasons for leaving, she scowled at his apparent amusement, her eyes narrowing. She wanted so bad to cast misfortune upon the man, yet she doubt it would do a thing to one such as him. As her lips closed, a livid expression still remained on her face as she eyed the man, using every ounce of restraint she had to prevent irritating the psychic anymore than she had to. "Guess you could say I don't get along with others."

"who says you have to?" he looked at her a smile on his face. " just because you don't play nice with other dose not mean you cant benefit from what they can teach you. Technical i am off teh scale when it come to your simple power class system." he walked over to the sigh and placed his hand on it. a glint of metal was seen covering his hand.
"kid a word of advice some time soon being on your own is not going to be the safest thing to be, Pick a side and stick with it. Your right they war both lacking some thing as much as the have a vision it ends when they get what they are trying to reach."

Jona raised an eyebrow towards the man. He seemed to be making some sense, and that was fairly unusual for Jona to even comprehend any of these mutants, let alone their idealistic philosophies. "Then where would it be that one delivering misfortune amongst myself and others begin to start?" She would let a scowl form as she watched the hand of the man hover over the sign. "Perhaps, I need to just choose a side for my own safety. Yet I refuse to be a scapegoat for others to toy with...."

"do you think i let people use me at all? Just because you are in a team dose not mean you are being used they your family they keep you alive and you do the same for them its that simple. As to were you start that is your choice there are others than the x men and the brotherhood. You just have to look. Do you really think they are the only one to make teams of mutants if thats what you believe you are a fool."
Cable looked at her wondering what it was she was truly looking for. " why do you run? you could of had a home and a school. Hell you could of had a normal life and you threw it away because you did like what one man said."

"Family...." Jona would let the word run rampid through her until it became sour, a disgusting term for something she once had. She loathed everything about her previous family, so why was she in a hurry to put herself in such an unpleasant situation. It was just ludicrous to even think about. "Family is just a term. It doesn't mean anything except a means to seek a method of exploitation."
Her thoughts wavered back to that of her late mother, rage instantly consuming her mind as her thoughts were sent into a state of turmoil. She despised that woman, yet at the same time, she remained there out of some unrequited love which she never saw dealt in return. It was just another harsh lesson that Jona had to look out for herself, even should it mean the humiliation of others to achieve her own personal agenda. Other than that, she had no purpose. Her back would face the stranger as her brooding eyes watched a nearby flock of crows fighting over a candy wrapper, her own voice beginning to speak."I seek a purpose. I do not need others, as to rely on another person is to succumb to personal weakness."

"who book have you been reading from? Tel me what kind of purpose do you want i may be able to give it to you and some people would say that family is the biggest one you can have. Then again i don't think you have what it takes to work for me." he crossed his arms and walked away. wondering if she would take the bait. She was intresting one and he hoped he could put her in the place she should be.

"It's merely to exist for a reason..." Jona knew not what she was searching for, nor how to obtain such an object, yet she was oblivious to the fact that she would be able to recognize it if she did come across it. Yet she still could not let this stranger know that much.
"Fine then...." Jona would return the favor by exposing her back to the man, slowly begin walking away as the man did the same. As she halted around the corner of a building, her face would turn around looming around the corner as she altered her course, to where she had seen the man leave.
Her body would dart back and forth between random objects as she attempt to stalk the man, hopefully lurking just out of the man's range of thought as she weaved out of the line of sight.

"its not realy smart trying to spy on a man who can sense your thoughts or a man with a gun that could take your head off. The answer to your next question is no i did not read your mind there i did not have to." he pointed to a window. " I caught a gimps of your reflection in the window But i will say this your good for the lack of experance you have had. I only saw a second and most people would of missed it but i spent far to much time watching back not to spot it. so tell me what was it you were hoping to see?"
he smiled as he turned around. she had taken the bate. "what is it a simple man like me can offer some one like you who knows what she wants and were to get it?"

Smiling, Jona shrugged her shoulders. "Threats don't really work on me and my mind's rather difficult to read, so it's not as though someone could get much out of either one." As Jona's eyes met with her reflection in the glass, she quickly turned away scowling, both at her appearance and at the stranger's comment.
"I never said I knew what I was looking for nor do I know where to look, although I am looking for a friend."

"best place to start looking is the mirror." cable smiled. " a friend is always good, keeps you doing those nasty things we should not get caught doing." he uncrossed his arms and stretched. " your right your mind is hard but not imposable. if i was a friend i suggest going back to school and sighing up for some classes like my danger room session and several others. become some one use the school to help you find out what it is you are truly looking for."
