Faith stood on the edge of the roof of the tall building, thinking about her family and her life. She was careful to lay a complex trail so she wasn’t followed by anyone sent to come and get her from Weapon X. Of course she knew that if her father wanted to find her, he would have no trouble in doing so. She couldn’t believe that with all her training, she couldn’t even help to protect her dad from that mohawk man in the theater. She felt bad that she didn’t do anything more to prevent her father from getting hurt. She felt her hands ball themselves into fists in an effort to control her anger and keep her claws sheathed. She was mad at herself for her failure, at least that is how she sees it.
Her eyes swept the area below her, looking for possible agents who might be sent after her. So far she was safe, but she also knew that could change at any possible second. Her control slipped for a split, and she turned around putting a crater in the side of the roof access door with her fist. Her hand bled for a few moments and then her healing factor kicked it. She bit back the cry of pain her show of anger had caused her, and then repeated with the other fist. The cycle repeated itself, over and over until her hands were numb for the moment. She began to wonder what she was thinking when she escaped Weapon X, why she even did…

::Cough::Cough::Cough::
The sounds would break the silence of the night, that had already been broken multiple times by the young girl striking the door. The sound came from just behind the door, and after a moment, the handle turned and it was pushed open. As the light from the stair case broke into the night sky, the figure standing within the door was a larger man, standing at six and a half feet tall and appeared to be as muscular and athletically fit as a human body would allow. He wore only some sneakers, a pair of jeans, and a tight fitting, black t-shirt that showed off his musculature. His fist was on his mouth with his head slightly lowered, proof that it had been him who was just coughing.Slowly, he lifted his head to look at her, his face blank and lacking of any real emotion. Was he high? Drunk? Mentally not all there? Nobody could be certain, but she would find out soon enough. His hand that was over his mouth casually went over to his ear when a tiny radio was hidden, placing two fingers against his ear.
"Tango."
≈"Eliminate."≈
"Roger."
The large man spoke to himself casually in front of the young girl as if there was nothing weird or rude about it, which was especially surprising since he was only using single word statements in military lingo. Not only had he not learned anything about being sneaky and deceptive, but he also did not know anything about her powers or that she would have been able to hear the voice on the other end of the radio. Still, he was so lacking in experience, as this was the first time he had ever been out of the Weapon X facility in his life, that he did not know exactly how this worked, and hoped it would be easy.
"Come."
He said, staring at her. His voice was not threatening in the slightest, and she could also likely tell by his lack of body language that he honestly meant no ill harm to her. His one word was not to provoke a fight, but to command her to follow him so he could take her away by whoever had sent him. Though, he did not know that most people wouldn't listen to such a thing, nor would anyone appreciate being talked to in that manner.

Faith had paused briefly allowing herself enough time to see how calm she was, and then she heard coughing muffled on the other side of the access door. She paused, hands balled up into fists at her side, and her nose sniffing the air. She growled softly when she smelled a scent she never wanted to smell again. She smelled government, more importantly Weapon X. The door opened and it revealed one of the biggest guys she had seen, the guy had his hand over his mouth no doubt giving away that he was the one who was coughing. Her hairs stood on end knowing that this guy was bad news. The worst there was. She watched as he moved his hand from his mouth to his ear, giving away that he was wearing an earwig. One piece equipment she knew only too well. She heard the entire conversation going on over the thing, and she was already starting to put distance between herself an the experiment staring blankly at her.
”Come.”
She knew what that meant. She go with him, she ends up back as a lab rat, in a cage, and no matter how much she doubted herself at that time there was nothing that would make her go back willingly. She growled a louder warning, one hand in her pocket gripping the key to her father’s room in her hand. She belonged with him, not in some cage. ”Perhaps some other time, Bub.” She responded before turning around and rushing to the edge of the building again, and jumping across the alley to land on the roof across the way with grace. She still couldn’t believe how she is starting to sound like her father… She then quickly got back to her feet and continued to jump from roof to roof, putting distance between them. Heading back toward the school and her father. She had to tell him that someone is after her, someone from Weapon X who wanted her back.

Steel had been hoping that she would come along easily and just do as he had asked, make just job easier and prevent him from having to actually go through the work of killing her. Unfortunately, she decided to run away with the agility of a jungle cat, forcing a sigh to escape from the large man. He slowly walked over toward the edge of the roof and watched as she hopped off into the distance, far more quickly and efficiently than he could have hoped to. Raising a hand back to his ear, he spoke through the radio again.
"She ran.... But-... Roger."
She girl was now much too far away to hear his voice, let alone the silent replies of that which was in his ear. His eyes narrowed as he barely saw her running across the roof tops in the distance, but she seemed to be heading in one direction. At least that would make this a little bit easier on him. He had been told to not use his form until absolutely necessary, but unfortunately, this was deemed so by the one who issued him orders. He did not know why this tiny little girl was so important and why he had to go to such lengths to capture her, but he was not one for asking questions, as his only job was to act.
He looked behind himself, then looked forward again to do his best to keep an eye on her in the distance as he slowly walked backward. One step after another he would place himself even further away from her as she lept away and he scooted back. Once his foot moved back and was halfway off the edge of the roof on the opposite side that she had initially ran from, he stopped, relaxing there. He took a deep breath, then coughed hard, his hand coming up to cover his mouth. He would take a few more breaths as his arm lowered, his hand covered in a small amount of blood. He then started to sprint forward as fast as he could, activating his man-made mutant factor just as his feet made contact with the edge of the building, leaping off of it.
She was already far away, but she would likely hear the explosion that took place from where she once was. There was no fire, but the edge of the building and the three floors below it were now nothing more than a cloud of smoke and debris that emitted from where it was once intact. It would look as if a bomb went off without the display of red and orange colors that would normally take place, nor the black smoke to hint at anything burning, but the force was really just result of him jumping. Though, the building was undoubtedly the only thing she would notice, as he was in the air high above her where it would be difficult for him to be seen, especially with the chaos that was now behind her. But she would figure out what had caused it far too soon.
He would fall from the sky like a ton of bricks, and though he did not have the kind of aim to actually hit her, he would land on the large building that she was bound to be on, or just leaping onto, just before he hit it. He would smash straight through the building as if it had hit by a meteorite, far too quickly for anyone to see what it was, even her. The force of him hitting the earth on the ground floor would shake the foundation of the building, causing it to collapse within itself in a matter of seconds. He had hoped that she would have at least been on the building too, meaning that she would be where he was now... Buried under several stories and several hundred tons of rubble and debris. Even if she had been lucky enough to avoid the instant obliteration of the office structure, would she be cold enough to walk away from the scene of carnage and mayhem as dozens of people lay barely alive, struggling to escape, brutally injured, with many more already beyond dead?

Faith was hopeful she was putting enough distance between the two of them, but paused for a brief moment when she heard an explosion from behind her. She was just in time to witness a shiny figure that resembles the glistening of her own claws in the light jump off of the building she was using as a punching bag moments before. She lost track of the guy as he seemed to sail through the clouds, and she couldn’t keep an eye on his position. The only thing she could do is to keep moving and hope that he doesn’t land on her and crush her. It was what she was taught to avoid capture, she had to keep moving. She was built for it, she was built and trained for war and carnage. Imagines in her head had her waking up screaming at night, and they were not of nice cuddly kittens and puppies either.
She had thought that she needed to change up her direction, confuse the experiment sent after her. She was making one jump, planning on landing on the next roof and then going in a different direction than what she had been heading. As she approached the edge, the same shiny figure shot down onto the roof to her targeted landing. The force itself was enough to cause him to go straight through, and then collapse the building around him. However she couldn’t stop herself from launching into the air, and landed on top of the rubble with grace. Her enhanced senses told her there was two humans trapped, and she couldn’t just walk away without attempting to help them. She couldn’t help but thank a higher power that it was late and that the now destroyed office building was mostly deserted.
Faith climbed off to the side and began to pull heavy pieces of rock off of them. She wasn’t going to leave them buried, the least she can do is perhaps unbury them enough to be found easily. She kept most of her senses on alert for her chaser with the intent on retrieving her for Weapon X. At first sign of him moving or approaching, she would take off yet again, this time planning on sticking on the ground and using the streets and alleyways to return…home. Home was such a strange word for her. She had no idea how she knew it, but to her she felt cozy and somewhat relaxed at the mansion. It might have even been the notion that her father has a residence there, and the small token of him giving her a key to his room for her to enter as she pleased. Even though she wasn’t a social person, much like her dad, she knew that he wouldn’t like anyone else entering his room without his permission. As if she new anyone else…

He has missed his mark, and though the building had been destroyed, she landed on top of the remains just after they fell and was absolutely fine. She should have ran, but her morals kept her there, which would just make Steel's job easier. Only about five seconds after landing, not long enough for such a small girl to make any progress with the many tons of rubble, Steel stood as if there were merely a blanket on top of him, the metal, brick and concrete that had formed the late structure fell off of him and tumbled sideways into the pile. His shirt was a little ripped, but otherwise he was completely unharmed, yet he did not look the same as he did when he saw her on the other roof. Every part of his body was one identical shade of smooth silver, exactly like that metal which covered her own skeleton, and that was exactly the reason he had been sent after her. If this girl was the type to look for a weakness, then she would be busy for a while, as not only his skin looked metallic, but as did his hair, his eyes themselves, and every other cell in his body.
With a simple gesture of his arms, he pushed himself out of the wreckage, throwing a massive steel beam at her before he leaped forward. He aimed to grab her if she did not move quickly enough, or if she was too busy evading the beam, though he had not been told anything of her and did know how how fast and agile she was, nor did he know how well trained this particular one was. Meanwhile, he had not received any of the training that she did, and this was his first mission ever, so he was bound to be appear stupid and clumsy, but whereas brain was better than brawn, he had enough muscle to solve any problem. If he did manage to grab her, there would be no escape from his grip, of course, this girl had learned that her claws could slice their way out of any problem, so that might be a false hope in his advantage. Of course, he didn't even think of that possibility, and instead only thought smash, then capture. Ah, the bliss of ignorance.

The minute sound of rubble moving as if someone was digging their way out grabbed her attention, and she got ready to defend herself knowing that she wouldn’t be able to run without him trying to stop her. So she got ready for some kind of attack, abandoning uncovering the few people trapped under the collapsed building. She had defeated to the fact that now the rescue was to be solely left to the New York City Fire Department, because her first priority was to escape this experiment that was sent after her. She carefully eyed the guy who she now realized was coated in the same metallic alloy as her skeleton and claws, and she cursed to herself under her breath. ’Great, just goddamn great. There is no way will I be able to take him out, so my best and perhaps only option is to run and escape. Here’s hoping the guy isn’t as smart…’ She thought to herself and growled an animalistic warning his way. She wanted him to leave her alone, and let her get back to her better life she had going since her escape.
When he pulled and pushed himself up and out of what should have been his grave, the young feral mutant was ready to act and act she did when he threw a large steel beam her way. She quickly extended her claws, and cut through it like soft butter while jumping up in the air at the same time to avoid his hand as it got near her. She then would touch the top of his head with her feet and letting her instinct and training take over, she would then push herself off of his form to launch herself into the air. She would have been able to get a few meters into the air and land softly with grace and agility half a block away on her feet. She paused only long enough to command her muscles to being to run in the opposite direction he was in, she only had one thought and one thought only. She needed to get as far away as possible from him and get to her father and the school. She could go all week if she needed, but she hoped that she wouldn’t need to.

As Steel attempted to grab her, she leaped skyward to avoid the attack, then used his skull like a springboard and flipped herself a short distance away before running off. The large man looked at the much smaller figure sprinting off, yet discouragement was not something that he easily felt. In most cases, the speed of this girl would have been too great for one to catch up with, but there were more benefits to his alloy-like body. Obviously, he had greatly increased strength, something she had already witnessed being used to a small degree. What she clearly didn't realize as she ran away in a straight line hoping to use her speed to create distance between them, was that the increased strength applied to his legs as well.
He would take a few steps forward before he knees bent slightly, pushing himself forward. Each time his feet touched the ground, he pushed himself with enough force to double his speed, and within a few seconds, the behemoth of a man was running at nearly one hundred miles per hour, allowing him to close the gap between them in the time it would take for her to turn around and see where he was. Sprinting forward like a speeding freight train, he chose not to put any delay into his assault, even a fraction of a second due to lost momentum, so he just ran forward without any clear attack method. Coming from directly behind her, it would mean that he would simply trample over her like a stampeding bull. Whether he hit her or not, he would then shove his feels into the ground, tearing it up as he brought himself to a halt to turn around and go after her again.

Faith quickly turned left into an alley, changing up her path. She knew she needed to break his line of sight, and as soon as she could she made another left and then a right. She then made two rights and then left, before making a right, left, right. She continued on with this random pattern as she made her way away from him. Her eyes searching around her looking for somewhere to dart into to hide herself from her pursuer. She needed to use every trick she had and her lessons she had learned to evade him. She kept her ears trained on the sounds behind her, and her eyes ahead and around her.
She made a few more turns, taking herself further away from him and out of his eyesight. Then just as quickly as she took of, she shot out her hand and grabbed a pole sticking up out of the sidewalk. And like the Batmobile making a high speed turn, she whirled around to face the building off to her right. She easily picked the lock, and darted inside closing the door behind before she was spotted. She quickly got out of sight, and tried to come up with a way to easily get back to the mansion before she was found again. If she only had help…
