Worried

Rogue had been worried lately, so much has changed. Logan was missing Jean, she had a cute that only lasted a few days. And this phoenix, she didn't have a good feeling about it. But she needed to talk to the professor. She just hoped he was there with no one else. She walked up to his office, she listened outside for a second. But had a feeling he would know she was there. She knocked on the door and opened it, he was alone.

"Professor?: can we talk?" she asked.
"If your busy I will go" She had a smile on her face.

Charles Xavier was busy with some papers again because Ororo never really worked on that. So he was writing some stuff as he heard Rogue. "No No I am not busy Anna, please come in."He said with a smile as he looked to her. "How are you Rogue?"He asked as he looked to her. He never wanted to use his mind abilities and so he never does that on his students, because that would been wrong. "Please take a seat Anna."He said. As he waited what she wanted to ask. "What did you want me to ask?"Charles asked.

She smiled and nodded shutting the door behind her, she walked to the chair and sat down. Looking up at him, he was easy to talk to. Someone to look up to, it was Xavier and Logan. She sighed softly. She did know he had work to do, but then again she didn't really know. Which wasn't the point of talking to him.

"I'm worried Professor" She said simply

"So many things are happening all at once. Jean becoming the pheonix, and that took a tole on Scott, but it also has affected Logan. Sometimes I wish I could read minds, he is now chasing a ghost, so to speak. Then you have the brotherhood, lets just say I talked to Erik one on one. I have to say, he can be interesting to talk to.

"I used to think everyone here was like a human and I was a monster, but Bobby had made me think differently now. Thanks to him, I feel better, but. I have a feeling everything is going to get bad, very fast" she said simply.

Charles looked to Anna as he walked over to her. He got on his knees as he looked into her eyes. "My Child, everyone is worried in a day."He said. "It is normal for us to think about people, you care about."Charles said as he heard about Logan. "The Phoenix was a strong person, controlling it was not a good idea, but only Jean could be strong enough to control it."He said. "It effected us all."He said. "Scott of course was the first, he fell in love of her and it might brought him to death, it changed his whole life."He said.

"Then of course there is Logan, from the first day he fell in love with her."He said. "The death of me took a hit at him too Rogue."He said. "Also I wasn't there really, but I heard he needed to kill Jean or The Phoenix and I don't think that is something you like to do."He said as he looked to her.

He then heard the last bit about the human and monster part. "Anna, if you were a monster, would I ever consider you here."He said. "I came to your place, to help you control your powers."He said. "That is why. If I never let Ororo and Scott pick you guys up, you wouldn't be here and learn to control your powers."Charles said with a smile. "Everything is going to be ok, my child."He said. "It might become bad, but we are going to be prepared this time, trust me, I will try to help Logan before anything bad will happen."Charles said.

He then forget about the part of Magneto as it got into his mind. "You have been to Eric?"He asked looking to her. "Why have you been there?"He asked.

She listened to him as he talked to her, she heard concern in his voice and she had a feeling he wasn't happy. She sighed lowly and looked back at him. "That was an accident, I was out jogging. It began to rain, I like to go out jogging in the mornings before class starts. But it began to rain all of a sudden and I went into what looked like a cave, unfortunately it was the entrance to Erik's brotherhood base" She thought for a moment.

"Unfortunately a friend followed me was Mike Lane, I know what he is up to. He want's to find those on the Xmen squad. Bobby and myself have been very careful about that. I figure you should know that about Mike.

But Erik found both of us and...well it was strange, I feel sorry for him. "When he used me, wanting to make humans like us. I felt something, I know you two are very good friends. Which doesn't make him a monster in my eyes. I know I shouldn't trust him, but a part of me trusts him" She looked down.

"He had chances to kill me, he could have killed Mike and myself, but didn't because we are your students. Feel's like I have some kind of link to him, but ive not used my powers much so maybe its just me"

"That is fine Anna, and I am not sure what Eric is doing, but I hope it isn't again for a war."He said as he looked to Anna. He heard what she said about Mike. "I will talk to Mike later, he shouldn't go around hanging with Erik."Charles said looking to Rogue again. He then heard what she said about the sorryness. "It is natural to get a feeling for people, Eric never been like this until the World War 2 Anna."Charles said looking to her. "I don't think it is the reason, you are my students, he might think you guys are vulnerable."He said. "If I remember it well, your power not controlled can kill people."Charles said. "I think Eric wants that."He said. "But don't think about it, I want to help you Anna and you will control it trust me."Charles said.

He looked to Anna as he wanted to tell about Jean but he wasn't sure if he should tell it. He then looked outside the window as Rogue would get the hint as she knew what would happen if Xavier got lost in thought by looking outside.

She nodded to everything he said, she felt at ease, relaxing in the chair. "I hope it's not going to be nasty, who knows maybe he isn't up to something" For a moment she thought. "Then again he is bitter. But I understand why, but I don't understand, you were their as well and yet you don't want to kill, don't want a war" She said simply. She closed her eyes. "I remember history, the death the camps." She looked at him.

But noticed his hesitation, she wondered. "Are you ok Professor?, you can talk to me you know. I keep secrets just like everyone else" She said placing her gloved hand on his and squeezed his hand in a loving manner and hoped he would talk to her.

"You always make me feel better, maybe I can make you feel better?" She smiled.

Charles turned around as he looked to her. He felt her hand as he smiled. "I am a pacifist Rogue, I hate fighting, but I was pushed into army and so I needed to fight."He said. "Most of my powers were under control and I could stop a few soldiers, but I never liked to abuse my powers."He said. "Some people can control there powers by anger and revenge, and once that is done, it will be gone."He said. "That is why I made this school, to help the students learn there powers on a safe way."Charles said.

He then heard what she said. "When I was here for a bit, I headed to the lake and I saw Jean again, she was crying over me Anna."He said. "It sounded weird but I talked to her."He said. "She is alive but confused."He said as he looked to Anna. "Please don't tell anyone about that."He said.

She nodded and thought for a moment, but she was curious now. When he spoke about jean, she felt kindness in his words. "Don't worry Professor, you can trust me, but you knew that already" She said kindly. She enjoyed their talks, which was why she loved to talk to him. "I think their is a small amount of Jean around. She loved everyone here, like I do. "She lives in us, but I have a feeling something is going to happen. What she did for us, to sacrifice everything. " She squeezed his hand again. And was about to do something she never had done.

"Charles, she lives on in you, on all of us. I promised myself id be a better person for her and for myself. " She tried to hold back tears but one fell down her cheek.

Charles looked to Rogue as he heard what she said. "I always knew that Anna."He said looking to her. "Yes Jean was and is a great student and was warm and open to all of us."Charles said looking to Rogue. "But I mean Rogue that she is really here."Charles said. "I will show you."He said. He put his hand on her head as he showed that day on the lake. After the vision was over he looked to her again. "Don't tell anything to others, and trust me Logan doesn't want to find out."Charles said.

Charles smiled at her last words. "That is always good, to change everything."Charles said. "But Anna can I ask you something?"Charles asked looking to you. "Could you tell me why you took the cure, because you weren't a freak or anything."Charles said. "I always told you that, and hoped you would see it yourself, but did you see it as a Curse then?"He asked looking as he opened his arms to give Rogue a hug and hold the tear away.

She closed her eyes as he showed her, her sadness ended seeing that. When she opened up her eyes, a smile on her face. "Jean" She said softly, she looked over at the professor. And he had asked about the cure. "I saw Bobby Drake and Kitty Pryed ice skating" She looked down for a moment. "I took the cure because I wanted to be able to feel his skin against mine, to kiss him without hurting him." She looked back at him, she didn't know what else to really say.

"But Bobby has changed my views, I will learn to control my gift. I want a family, no matter what I have to do, I will beat my power. "

"Yes Jean, I saw her and so I know she is back."Charles said looking to Rogue. He could tell the emotions getting into her eyes as he smiled. "Yes love can make people jealous, but it is a bigger step to confront it."Charles said. "I will and am going to work with you to control your powers Rogue, It will take some time, but when you control it, your powers would be much greater then."Charles said. "Training is a key word."Charles said as he smiled looking to Rogue. "Anything else that you want to tell me?"Charles asked as he looked to Rogue.

She hugged him, and closed her eyes. She didn't know what would the day would bring, she pulled away slowly and shook her head. "No I feel better, Professor thank you" She said with a kind voice. Sometimes she wondered about his life, she hoped one day he would tell her. "I know, patience is a virtue but it still bites" She laughed some what. "i love my place here, thanks to Ororo's help I feel like I can do more now, but even I know it will be a challenge. And I have faith in you and myself, I will not allow my powers to take over me"

"You are a strong Child."He said as he hugged her back. "I always saw you as a instructor here, but it might not come true."He said. "It is what you want?"He asked. "I was gonna ask Ororo, if you might give the class some art or music lessons."Charles said as he looked to her. "You can do more and that is why I want to give you that more."He said. "To express yourself, but I will let Ororo pick it, she is the Headmistress and you might be good in it, and you might even have fun by doing it."Charles said with a smile as he looked to her.
