Kitty sighed, sitting on the floor on the outside of the Danger Room doors, her head in her hands. Bobby was to meet her to help her in the Danger Room. Her body was developing new abilities and she wasn't able to handle them all at once. And she refused to speak with anyone but Bobby on the subject, even the professor didn't know. But how far could she go with this? Before the Professor had to be told?
Bobby would not betray her, she knew for a fact. But Kitty had the strangest feeling that one of these times, one of her phasing episodes would go too far and her life would be in danger.
She just hoped she could fix it before that happened.

Bobby drummed his fingers on the desktop in Storm's room and could do without the talk on history. History was basic, and, at 18 he was one of the mutants who had gone through this class with A's...several times over he might add. Looking at his watch he bit his tongue and held back any question as to how much longer they would be in here. When the bell finally rang he got his backpack and slid out of his seat and off into the hall. Keeping up a steady pace he found the elevator leading to the danger room. Coming to a halt inside he wanted to freeze the speakers for playing such boring songs.
When the elevator stopped he hopped out of it and threw his backpack to the side as he picked up Kitty. Pulling her into a hug he sighed and ran his hand through her chestnut hair. "I apologize if I was late, was held up in Storm's history class. So...you ready for this?"
Bobby pulled back at arms length and stared into her eyes. If she didn't want to to do this he would be fine with it. Though, she needed to get a grasp of her power. That being said, and seeing how she was stubborn just like him, there was no talking her out of this.

Kitty was taken aback by Bobby's sudden rush of love. He was always so adament about showing her just how much he cared- she loved it. She hugged him back and nodded nervously, pushing a strand of hair back into place as she found the courage to speak.
"Yeah, I need to do this, I don't want to have to be victim to it all my life, especially if we wind up on a mission and this strikes me. The whole team will have to protect me. I don't want that." She offered a weak smile at Bobby. "Come on," She picked up her bag, Lockheed asleep inside it on her X-Costume. "Let's go change."

Bobby smiled and then he realized he forgot his costume. This is not good, oh wait, he second thought, I left it in my locker. Phew, he thought, that was a close call. "Alright, we'll meet back here when we're dressed. School rules sot of forbid us to dress in the same room, so, I love you and will continue loving you even if we're lockers apart." Bobby kissed her before rushing into his side of the locker room. Xavier apparently had his own locker and was intent on becoming part of missions again. It would be weird seeing him decked in black, he thought as he stripped off his clothes and changed into the X-Men costume.
Dressed now he went to comb his hair and showed his teeth in the bathroom. Alright, I wonder what simulation Kitty has for the two of us. Having finished dressing first he adjusted his collar as he looked at the simulation key pad. None was chosen, so, it is a secret huh? Bobby leant up against the danger room door and bided his time by thinking of his time with Kitty and how much it meant to him.

Kitty hung her bag on the locker door and slipped out her costume, trying to ensure Lockheed stayed asleep. He did and she undressed, slipping into her costume and staring at herself in the mirror. This was who she was, an X-man. Dressed in her outfit made it more real, but it was still hard to believe. The X-men were their own race it almost seemed, so far away from the rest of the mansion. And Kitty ached to be in a fight again, though her first and last one had left everyone, including herself, scared with the memory.
She shook it off and stepped out of the locker room and into the Danger Room. She saw Bobby in his outfit and had to pause to stare. It had been the first time she'd been able to really see more of him than the skating night. Seeing him in his outfit brought back so many memories.
"Danger Room Session 149, please." She called out to the room.
A computerized voice answered: "DANGER ROOM SESSION CREATOR: SHADOWCAT, SESSION 149...COMMENCING. YOU MAY BEGIN. GOOD LUCK."
The room's metal interior faded away as pixels over took them. The scene changed to a vast field. It was night, the dirt on the ground looked orange and the spare large rocks and broken down buildings barely ruins now- stood with little but a few bricks still in place. A visual of the X-team came into place, an allusion but solid enough to touch and interact with.
"Okay, Bobby, I need to practice phasing and slowly build up to the new stuff. If I pass out, find a way to keep my body safe and wake me up." The ground shuttered as a large purple metal foot stepped closer and the eyes of a Sentinel looked down at them. "God I hate those things."

Bobby smiled over at Kitty and heard the simulation voice. I wonder what session this is, he thought as he readied himself. As soon as they were on the field a simulation scanner appeared detailing a sketch of each X-Men before they appeared practically life like before them. Bobby listened to Kitty and understood what he had to do. The ground shook and in front of them was the metal foot of a Sentinel. He remembered a long time ago that Logan was helping them, and, he was tossed up high and ripped the head off of one.
"Alright Kitty...practice away. I got your back!" Bobby turned into ice and stared around the field looking for other dangers. The current one though was the sentinel as it let loose a cable aimed at Kitty. Bobby shot ice from his hand and froze the cable in mid flight. "I've fought 10 of these already, do your thing Kitty." Bobby jumped into the air and smashed the cable into tiny pieces. Landing in a crouch he blew ice like mist off his hand like a gun and then headed to take out the legs. All the other X-Men were tackling different Sentinels.

Kitty took a deep breath and raced for the sentinel. She phased halfway into the beast and phased up through it's leg, narrowly avoiding it's grabbing hands. Once she got to the chest, she phased through it, emmerging out the back, sweat on her brow. The Sentinel gave a loud growl and the lights in its eyes flickered out, it fell hard to the ground as Kitty landed.
"Heads up!" She warned, shaking her head to clear it. It had taken a good amount of energy to phase through the entire thing and disrupt the circuits, but she could at least do it and keep herself awake. But in a real life situation, how many could she do so to before collapsing?
Kitty headed for the next one and a dozen men raced out from the shadows, batons at the ready with riot sheilds. She raised a hand, rushing at them, phasing through one man's head and watching him drop as his eyes rolled. Kitty's eyes did the same and she faltered in her step. "Bobby?" Four of the men cornered her and she fought to breathe, keeping her mind awake as it wanted to slip away.

Bobby froze the Sentinel in place as Kitty began to phase through the Sentinel. Once the legs were frozen it could not move or try to shake her off. Bobby laughed as he watched the confusion shake in its form and the way its cable had just snapped causing it to utter what would appear to sound like a robotic moan. These things, they always did the same thing, and they always relied on the cable to get the mutant within their huge grasp. The simulation so far was playing smoothly and Kitty was doing an outstanding job of disrupting the circuitry in the Sentinels so they could fall victim to her phasing.
Though when she managed to phase into a human she may have overstepped things. The humans were beginning to surround her and their batons were at the ready. No, he thought, I won't let them have her. Skating forth on ice he aimed several shots of ice in their direction freezing them and their weapons held in an upright position. Picking up Kitty he held her in his arms. "Kitty...try to hold on alright. I'll get us to safety." That is when things got really nasty. Several attack craft were in the air and as he they lowered what appeared to be a giant to the ground, he noticed it stand upright and it stood as tall as a giant building.
"Kitty...why is the daddy Sentinel in your program?" Bobby took a step back and watched the X-Men go in to attack. My job is to get Kitty to safety, he thought as he began to run in the opposite direction.

Kitty hesitated, "I don't...I don't remember putting it in there." She shooke her head. Things were getting disconcerting. She held on tight to Bobby, her grip seeming too loosen on its own. "Bobby..." her breath was ragged and in short pants. "I don't think....I don't remember the big one being in this simulation. I can't...ugh." She squinched. "I need to keep trying, I can do this, I can.." But she didn't sound so convincing to herself.
"Bobby, get me near Storm." She tried hard to hold on to her mind. If she could just take out the Big one, would they be alright? Or would she really need to see the Professor? And where had the Big Sentiinel come from?

Bobby tried to keep panic from his body at all costs. Right now Kitty was panicking, and her body seemed to writhe in his arms. The last thing he needed was for her to go into a comma, or worse, just blank out on him. The Big Sentinel seemed to be giving the X-Men a run for their money and he thought for a moment that Logan had somehow done this to test them. Keeping his balance he jumped over some of the fallen Sentinel and spotted Storm amongst the X-Men summoning some rain storm cloud.
"Alright Kitty," he said, "I'm not sure what you have planned...but be careful." Bobby didn't want her to hurt herself in this effort. But, if the big Sentinel would end the program, all the better for the two of them.

Kitty hopped out of his arms and tried hard to steady herself. She gave a flashing, weak smile to Bobby and raced after Storm. When catching up with her, Kitty took a long, slow, deep breath. She jumped and phased, falling into Storm's body.
Storm jerked, her powers faltering. She blinked, almost falling to her knees, but her eyes took on a blinding white again and her feet left the ground shakily. Her arms raised out slowly and she summoned black clouds to roll in with pounding thunder. Lightning flashed and struck out fast, stabbing the Daddy Sentinel in the face, making him tremble and turn to Storm. Storm's voice screamed at the top of her lungs, "BOBBY!"
But her few seconds of control ran out and Storm's body jerked again. She fell like a stone, plummeting to the earth. She landed too far away from Bobby and as they hit, Kitty's body bounced out of Storms, unmoving and brown eyes closed.

Bobby watched Kitty hop from his arms and he ran trying to keep up with her. Seeing her hop into Storm's body he noticed the huge Sentinel ready a beam to fire at them. This is not good, he thought, if that bolt hits while Kitty is in Storm's body it'll be all over. Think Bobby, he thought, I got it! Racing along the battlefield he summoned up as much ice as he could and made a blockade so the laser would not mesh through. When the laser was fired he grinded his teeth as he felt the laser picking away at his shield. This is not good, he thought, I sure hope she knows what she is doing.
Storm, or rather Kitty, managed to hurtle a lightning bolt into the huge Sentinel causing all circuits to short wire and made it come to a crashing fall. Storm seemed weak and as she fell Kitty fell out of her and onto the ground. "KITTY!!" Bobby raced from his spot over to where she had fallen and cradled her head as he looked down into her closed eyes. "C'mon Kitty snap out of it...wake up!" I can't lose her, he thought, I love her too much. Wake up! He shook her and felt for a pulse.

Kitty's pulse jumped and she moaned quietly, unable to open her eyes. "Okay.....I'm.....okay..." She murmured. But she couldn't force her eyes to open. She just needed more time to let her energy gather back together. "Just...need...time..." her hand tried to grab Bobby's jacket but her arm wouldn't move without the energy. "That was.....hard..."

Bobby laughed in relief and leaned down kissing her lips. Pulling back slightly he stared down at her and nodded his head. "Sure Kitty...take all the time in the world. Right now I'm curious as to who messed up your simulation. They have to know the program quite well, and, they would have to a student here. This completely bugs me, but, apparently your move imrpessed the X-Men over there. Sure they maybe part of the program, but, I imagine they would react the same way outside of here, well not exactly Xavier, he gets cranky when things go along he doesn't know about." Bobby grinned and just sat by Kitty watching the simulation end all around them.

Kitty smiled as he laughed, feeling a little better if Bobby could let loose a little. "Yeah, now that I'm thinking on it...I never made it this hard. Why would someone do that? As a prank?" Slowly, her energy was beginning to gather and she began to feel a little stronger. Already, she was planning her next attack and how to use her power. This could work, she thought. If she just focused and took breaks, she could make it work.
