Abigail sat huddled in the dank, dimly lit room in which she has been locked in for the past few weeks. She eyed the large half finished weapon of mass destruction that she was forced to construct for her captors. They believed it would help her work faster if they had harmed her mother, and they were wrong. Once she saw that her home had been blown to smithereens, she halted all work and retreated to her comer in attempt to hid from the cameras that seem to watch her every move.
She eyed the only door that went out of the room. She thought she heard gunfire and explosive blasts rattle the building. She then wondered what was going on, and ran to the door before pounding on it. ”Hello? I’m in here! Someone let me out!” She shouted out to whoever would hear her. She needed to get out of there or she knew she would end up like her mother. Dead. She didn’t want to be dead, as she knew she had so much to give to the world.

Cable walked the halls he was in no mode for stealth. two men started to fire at him as the bullets hut of his shield, he looked on. slowly he lifted his hand up and the two men fell down dead. hin his left arm was a devices he was after some thing and that was all he cared about. if it would been simple he would of leveled the building and picked it out of the rubbish. His eye glowed bright as he scanned the hall. some one was in the room that the object was.
HE looked at the door the person on the other side was young and well probably some hostage. with a thought the door ripped its self of the wall and smashed in to the other. he walked in looking at the girl for a second and walked over to the bench. slowly the devices glowed blue and lifted its self in to the air. It started to come apart peace by peace. "such a stupid and basic weapon" he muttered to his self. Slowly other parts started to float in the air as he started to put the peaces back togeather in a different order. some parts floating away while others took there place. with in a few moments a small box was made. It flew closer to cable floating close to him. He looked to the girl. " I Suggest you leave before i destroy this building."

Abby was a bit surprised to see the door being ripped off it’s hinges to reveal large muscular man with a techno-organic eye and arm. Her mind did it’s thing and she suddenly understood the workings and origin of the technology of the man. Then she watched as he ignored her and walked over to the weapon she was forced to work on the last few weeks. She of course knew exactly how to put it together in working order, but she was stalling and bidding her time. She knew that they would kill her once she had completed it, and she also knew what it was suppose to do the moment she had seen it.
The only reason she was able to draw it out that long was because she kept telling her captors that they did not have the proper tools for her to complete the work. Then when they finally got her the tools, she kept saying that was not the right one. What surprised her even more was that this man had finished what she was trying her best to drag out in less than five minutes with what was clearly telekinesis. However, she took a closer look at the newly made box floating in front of him and understood completely. It was no longer a weapon of mass destruction, but now it was clearly an explosive type of weapon.
" I Suggest you leave before i destroy this building."
Abby looked at him and then to the newspaper that had accompanied her ’motivation’ video. The video they had taken back, but left her with the paper. It had the picture of the ruins of her home on the front page, and an insert one of her mother off to the side. The headline clearly read: Security Software Company Heiress Dies in Bombing. The byline mentioned that her daughter was nowhere to be found. Tony Stark was even mentioned, but she had no idea why. She grabbed the paper and showed the front page to him. ”Where am I to go? They bombed my home and killed my mother.” She responded to him a bit frightened and alone. Her mother’s parents had died a few years ago leaving the company to her mother’s older brother, but she was left with a trust fund and a share of the company so that it couldn’t be sold easily.

"Not my problem girl. Go to the cops they will find you a place." truth be told he did care but he had no time for her or anything else the clock was ticking and he had no time with this. he closed his eyes for a moment Black box do you hear me i need all i can get on this problem. he sent the information to the other mutants mind. with in a few moments he had all the information on the situation. There was no information from his time about this girl . he scanned her mind she was telling the truth. it was clear that she was a mutant with the fact that she had i quick understanding of technology.
"your a mutant go to the school for mutants up north of new york. They take in strays." he smiled as she worked out what it was but she was wrong she did not have all the facts so could not work out what it was. The technology did not exist in this time but only in one place his home.

Abby couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She closed her eyes and when she opened them a moment later, they were angry and stone hard. She would not give up that easily. It was something her mother had taught her in life, and now that she is dead, she will not let the memory of her mother down. ”The cops will most likely send me to an orphanage, and I’m so close to obtaining my degrees! There isn’t a place in this world that I will belong. She told him with a tone to match her eyes. She was thirteen, a high school graduate, nearly complete with her masters in engineering and bachelor’s in computer science, and being the only one in an orphanage that has been covered in the media almost as much as Tony Stark will not make it easy for her.
"your a mutant go to the school for mutants up north of new york. They take in strays."
Her nostrils flared at what he called her. She strode toward him with purpose and stopped just out of arm’s reach. ”One, I am NOT a stray. I am an ORPHAN. Two, I am not a mutant. I am just a genius and highly intelligent. I just prefer machines, robotics, and computers over anything else.” This guy was starting to make her mad, and step on her already rattled nerves. He wasn’t being too helpful in making the sudden and recent loss of her mother as well as her nearly a month long captivity any less stress free.

"really and you believe that? Your x gene positive hate to spoil your dreams. Your a techno path a week one but still one. You sense technology and understand it. You intelligence is a bi product of your power. Now i suggest you leave as this building is about to fall down. "
Cable walked towards the door heading out. the box like object floating behind him cable had no time to deal with bratty kids. "You know if your parents are dead you are a orphan."

Tony, at his penthouse was simply relaxing working on a new suit, one with better armor. It was sort of a calming day, not to many calls and meetings that he had to attend to. Pepper mostly took care of them, but when he was needed he knew he would be hearing her knocking on his door. But that wasn't the only thing he was working on, he was also working on the virus that was inside of his body. He had Jarvis scan it, and see what was up with it. It seemed, from the explanation that Jarvis gave him was that it bonded with him. Giving him some extent on being 'more human' so to speak, such as having his suit with in his body. Ever since that one mission, he wondered what was the extent of the Extremis virus was and what it was capable of doing. But it seemed deeper research on this virus was going to have to wait.
He was getting an emergency call from Isabelle Rasmussen, which Tony wondered why. He answered it but it wasn't a live call it was a pre-sent message. The video message basically told him about her daughter, and if he would be able to save her. It continued to say that she knew her time was coming, and if he could do this before she had died. He raised a brow in question, wondering what she was talking about in till and explosion happen with in the message, ending it. His eyes widen to the scene and rushed to his suit. Turning on the machines he felt the padding of inside the suit touch him, air sealing him in.
After in his suit he didn't bother locking up what happen to the girl, he just knew she was in trouble. He didn't have the luxury to look into the happening, he need to go now. A panel opened up wide, Tony then started to run and then jumping out, activating his pulsers and flying off quickly. He maneuvered through out the city looking for anything suspicous or that would stick out. Tony could feel his anxiousness creeping up on him, making the suit go faster. He continued to scan in till the suit picked up a distress call about hearing repeated shots going off. A better lead then nothing
He turned the suit, feeling have the G force that a normal person would thanks to the suit. It was a good thing he built in an electromagnetic system in it to negate the effect of such high speed flying. Tony saw the building come into view and pushed his hands forward slowing him down, eventually enough to be able to burst through the window with out destroying the floor. He turned his head left and right, the sound of the gears churning could be heard. "Abigail! Abigail are you here!" yelling out.

Abby was just about ready to ball up her fist and punch him when she suddenly remembered that she might still have a father. She let a smirk grace her lips and walked purposely to the hand made computer sitting on a near by table. She swiped up a USB thumb drive that she also made. It contained a massive storage limit, and is able to hold a complete supercomputer hard drive on it. She however will not need the entire space. She booted up the computer within seconds and was in process of copying the weapon files for the thing that is now a little black box. When it was half done, she had hacked into the government server via a dummy line in order to view her birth certificate.
"You know if your parents are dead you are a orphan."
Without looking up she answered, ”I do know what the word orphan means.” She just wished he would hurry up and leave her alone so that she can concentrate on the two tasks at hand. The computer made a ding sound to inform her that it had completed the copying and finding her birth certificate. She quickly scanned it and found her father’s name. Anthony Edward Stark. She couldn’t let that piece of information phase her at the moment, so instead she copied it to the thumb drive as well. Just as she was disconnecting it, she heard another arrival.
"Abigail! Abigail are you here!"
Abby knew that voice from all the news and sound bites she had heard on the television when she was home. It was Tony Stark, and the sound of the gears were not lost on her. He was in his well known Iron Man suit. ”I’m here, Mr. Stark!” She pocketed the thumb drive and ran out of the room leaving everything behind. She didn’t need that computer any more as she has everything she needed, especially when she deleted the weapon files from the hard drive enough that there will not be any trace of them left. She whizzed by the mean overgrown oaf, and continued down the hall way from where she heard her name being called. She only paused long enough to admire the technology she saw on the man who was named her father.

Cable gestured and the pen drive flew in to his hand. " I don't think those plans would be best in the hands of a child." he was in no mode for this now stark was here that would complicate things even more. "as i said this building will start to fall down about now." the room shock as explosions started to go from one room to the other. It was controlled. Cable had set them so that the building would crumble from the top down giving people a chance to escape.
He started to stroll down the hall the ruble landing on his shielding. "if you don't want the ruble o your head stay close." he walked along with the cube floating close to him. It was all that he truly cared about. Truth be told there was no point in letting the girl die.

Tony looked around the building for a bit in till he heard the loud explosions that started to happen. The ground shook a bit, and due to his weight he fell through the floor. "Oh I didn't know it was the Iron drop day" he said sarcastically. He then started up his propulsion system again flying back up to the floor he fell through. He landed softly so he wouldn't fall though again. Jarvis then updated him that he had better hurry seeing as the explosions where deciding from the top. He looked around quickly as the debris falling bounced off his armor. The senors on his suit detected people walking from a hall way to the left. Tony always wondered how he always got himself into exploding situations. As he rushed the heavy thumbing of his suit could be heard as he approached the people on his radar.
But before he could turn into he heard a voice yell out his last name from down the hall. The suit then registered the voice and scanned it, verifying that it was Abigail. But his suit also picked up another voice, one that was with in the database. He raised a brow a bit a Jarvis assumption, "check it again". Then the same answer came up, the person wasn't with in the database. Then again Tony didn't have the time to deal with an anomaly with in the system. He turned to see Abigail and the unknown man shielding her form the debris.
He started up his pulsers just in case this guy wasn't to friendly, and holding Abigail. "Are you the one causing this explosion" he questioned the pulsers giving a bright light in his hands. His gauntlets was by his side, but were ready to be lifted and shot at a moments notice. Tony didn't trust this guy, but Abigail seemed alright so it wasn't to bad for the moment, hence why he didn't fire yet. The bangs started to get louder, Tony knew he had to do something quickly. He clenched his teeth, he wanted to know who started the explosions, but right now his main priority was the safety of Abigail and the people in the building.
Tony looked to Abigail, "Come on I got to get you out of here, and fast, then I need to get the rest of the people out". He held out his hand a bit de-charging the pulser in it. But he still kept the other gauntlet charged just in case. He kept his focus slightly on the other guy, making sure he wasn't going to try anything.

What the man who had turned the weapon into a cube didn’t know was that she had two identical USB drives on her. One containing the important files, and the other containing a super computer virus that will eat anything on a hard drive if someone other than herself accessed it. What the man had taken from her was the virus thumb drive and not the one that mattered the most. Before she knew what had happened, the floor shook underneath her feet, and rubble started to fall down around her.
"if you don't want the ruble o your head stay close."
She didn’t have to be told twice as she hates to have to be hit again. Even if it wasn’t by another human being. So she stayed close, but not too close or she was sure to punch him just because he annoyed her so darned much. She figured it wouldn’t end up too good for her at the moment, so she kept her space. It of course wasn’t long before they ran into Iron Man, and held up his hand giving it a bright light in the middle of the palm.
"Are you the one causing this explosion"
Abby began to slowly edge away from the man who started to make the building explode around them. She figured that the group who had held her prison for the last four weeks had left already, leaving her to die in the exploding building along with their much coveted weapon. However before she knew it, she was narrowly hit by a piece of falling ceiling. She could feel the explosions get closer, and knew that time was of course running out.
"Come on I got to get you out of here, and fast, then I need to get the rest of the people out"
Abby looked at the offered hand and then back at the huge man as if deciding on who to trust more with her life. The man in the mechanical suite was her father… She didn’t waste another moment before dashing to his side, and continue to narrowly miss the falling debris. Once she had placed her hand inside his, she finally spoke. ”They could all die in the same manner they kill my mom.” She told him in reference to getting everyone else out. She knew she should give him the thumb drive that she had hidden on her, but that could wait until they were safe.

"They all are and by the way i can read your mind. " he gestured and the other drive flew in to his hand. after a few moments he tossed it back to her. " Very basic virus i must say." cable smiled to him this was a joke. his systems would of wiped it before it had even started. "i have what i want miss Stark i hope you have fun with your father. "By the way Mr stark i will be back to have a talk with you at some point. i may have some thing of interests. "
He sent the information to black box who was working hard to confirm it all. any way he had what he came for every thing else was a bonus. he placed his hand on the cube. "good bye Stark's. body slide by one " with that he vanished in a flash of light.

As he watched Abigail approach him , he saw her dodge a few large debris placing her hand on his. Tony then looked to the man as dust from the ceiling started to fall, alerting him to the impending collapse of the ceiling. He listened to the man speak to him as if he knew him personally or something. But before he could get a word out he noticed the man vanished into light. Tony blinked a bit scanning the area of where he could have gone. But that wasn't important the building was collapsing and the roofing didn't seem like it would hold. And his observation was correct, at that moment a huge chunk of the roof started to fall on them. He then hunched a bit over her blocking the chunk from crushing her and splitting the chunk into.
"Dammit we have to get out of here" he said aloud as he looked around for a quick exit. Tony didn't want to burst threw the walls with the fear of the building collapsing one them. He wouldn't be hurt, but Abigail could, and that was enough reason not to. Remembering he crashed through a window earlier, he picked her up running towards it. The charging of his pulsers on his feet could be heard as he jumped out of the window. After jumping out of the window his pulsers blasted on full, lifting him up a bit so he could make a soft landing.
After landing he ran to the other side of the street placing her down softly as he turned back around. "Jarvis I need a scan now on the building to make sure no one's left inside the building. Now!". As he commanded the computer scanned the building top to bottom making sure no one was left inside. And unfortunately there was, he then started to run back into the building taring off the front door. "Hey can anyone hear me!" he yelled out hoping the person that was trapped inside could hear him.
He rushed through the building as the walls started to cave, fires blazing on his suit as he went through the building. Finally he reached the person that was trapped under some rubble. Tony pulled him up from under the rubble and put him over his shoulder. "Damn, I better get a medal for this, and some whiskey really dry would be nice" he said as he carried the man out. As the building fell, he made it out with the guy dust and ash all over them. The crowd cheered, him waving a bit, walking to the police. He told them that this guy was one of the men who took Abigail hostage and killed her mom in the bombing. They nodded, taking him to the hospital first, then interrogating him later. He approached Abigail, "Hey do you have any where you can go?"

Abby only glared at the man as he took her other drive, and then tossed it back to her. So she had gathered that this man was from the future. No one in this time and age could out wit her with technology like he claims to do. So she only turned her back on him to face Iron Man. She heard the other man’s departing statement and farewell before hearing him depart in a very unusual way. She turned slightly to see a bright light fade right where the man had stood only moments before.
Next thing she knew was that Tony was hunched over her shielding her from a large chunk of ceiling falling on her and crushing her. She of course was very grateful. She only nodded her head in answer to his get out of there statement. Next thing she knew was that he had picked her up and started to rush toward a broken window. She clearly heard and saw the pulsers charge up full blast on his feet after jumping out of the window and right before making a landing. Then he ran across the street before sitting her down on the sidewalk softly.
Abby watched as he turned around and asked someone called Jarvis to scan the building to look for occupants, and he seemed to be impatient about it. He must have gotten a confirmation as he rushed back inside. She of course waited right where she was, and wondered where she was going to do now. She wasn’t even legally an adult and thus can’t quite move in on her own. She knew her uncle would do his conniving best to get her out of the picture, and to get his hands on what was now her share of the family business. She couldn’t let that happen. She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn’t notice Tony return to her.
"Hey do you have any where you can go?"
She looked up at him as she thought the question over carefully. ’How am I going to handle this… I don’t think he would believe me if I suddenly claim to be his daughter…’ So instead she shook her head. ”Nowhere that would be considered safe and healthy.” She finally told him and held out her hand. The one with the thumb drive containing the files she had copied. ”Here is a the files on what they made me do. I didn’t want to… But they would have killed me if I didn’t…” She looked away to keep the tears from falling. She couldn’t allow herself to cry at that moment. It wasn’t the time or the place.

Tony looked to the girl who seemed in thought about his question just a few seconds earlier. He would have brought it up at a better time, but the time just seemed right to him. First seeing as he mother just recently dying, and hadn't claimed a father. Second, well a building just almost possibly crashed around there ears. Along those lines he didn't know what she possibly wanted to go. Inside the suit he sighed a bit thinking of possibilities of where she could go. He asked Jarvis whether or not she had any extended family that she hadn't mentioned. With the answer came the simple idea of just simply dropping her off at her uncles place. "You have an uncle it seems, you can't stay with him for a while" he told her.
Tony had a feeling and knew that if she wanted to, she could have mentioned her uncle in a snap if she thought it was safe. Obviously she didn't want to go out of fear of who knows what, but it was still and option. He looked around and notice people gathering around trying to see what was happening. But they seemed not to focus on the explosions, but Tony himself in the Iron Man suit. Slight yells about could be heard 'Oh is that Tony!', 'It's Tony Iron Man Stark'. Smirking, he waved to the people, his ego could be felt getting bigger. He turned back to Abigail and looked at her for a second. "You know you could always go to the police for a while too, I hear they're great this time of year?". It was one of the dulling options, but again still an option.
He looked down to a USB drive being handed to him by her, containing the stuff she was supposed to build. As he eyed it Jarvis digitally scanned it downloading it into the system of the suit. "Here" he said handing back the USB drive to her. He noticed her turn away, he guessed to grieving or something, he wasn't the best to helping when someone was grieving. He sighed, looking to the files on his HUD, it seemed it was a bomb. But of course not any bomb but a miniature ball of mass destruction. It kind of brought him back to the day he was held captive for a while. And by that, a three long month while. Except she got away unharmed while he walked away with a glowing battery stuck to his chest.
