Rogue was stunned. For the first time in years she could feel someone's bare skin with her own bare skin. It was probably the only thing that could have distracted her from her previous line of questioning. She was so distracted her gaze didn't leave his hand which she was still touching in awe when he spoke.
"Huh? Oh, um, meh name is Rogue..."
She mumbled. A smile lit up her face though as she remembered all the things she had told Logan she wanted to be able to do seconds before she left to take the cure. With a happy grin she took one of her hands away, and with the other gribbed Adam's hand with it, performing a simple handshake. She had shook someone's hand! Rogue couldn't help but feel rather happy. She knew she shouldn't do all her touching on this guy just because she could touch him. Rogue did have sense. However she couldn't help but want to relish being able to touch. Even if it was just innocently holding a random man's hand.

"Interesting name" said Adam who really wasn't too surprised about her name. After all, some of the mutants in the Brotherhood called went by their code name, and now there were names like Bono and the symbol used by the artist formally known as Prince. Rogue would then take one of her hands off of his hand and shook it. Adam would look at Rogue's face noticing the happy grin on her face and he couldn't help but smile back.
"God it feels good to be somewhat normal" said Adam before taking off the glove on his left hand with his teeth and letting it fall to the ground once it was off. He would then reach over to the hand Rogue was using to shake with his free hand and started to gently rub the back of her hand.

Rogue was finally realising that Adam was actually flirting with her. Hitting on her. It felt... odd to be on the receiving end. She had only really seen guys do it with any girl but her. As nice as it felt to be flirted with, Rogue couldn't help but feel like something was off. Forcing the thought from her mind she lifted her gaze to look up into Adam's eyes before looking down at her hand. She watched as he rubbed the back of her hand with his left hand. It felt so good to be able to touch. Rogue had forgotten what it was like. At least now she could know, and hopefully remember it until she gained control over her own skin. She sighed deeply, the sound full of contentment as she sat on the couch feeling what its like to touch again. Her whole body had relaxed on the couch, and she was no longer pressing herself hard against the couch.
"Ah haven't normal in years..."

"Well at least you have someone to touch and talk about your problem with" said Adam as he walked over to the couch and simply fell back onto it. As he landed onto the couch, his right arm strategically ending up around Rogue's shoulders. Sure it may be an old trick, but it was still a classic with a bit of a twist which didn't use some fake yawn to get his arm around her shoulders. "So, how long have you been here trying to control your ability any way?" asked Adam in a casual tone of voice as he tried to find out more about the only person he could touch.

"Years... Ah think ah was sixteen when it first showed up... Ah haven't touched anyone since then. Ahm nineteen now..."
Rogue responded quietly, a sad expression falling upon her face. She didn't notice when he sat down his arm had gone around her shoulders. She was too busy fondling with his other hand. Touch. The only sense she hadn't been able to experience for years. Now here she was, touching someone. She never thought she'd be able to touch someone again. Sure, she hoped and she really did work hard in her one to one sessions with Xavier. She had always had her doubts though. Maybe one day she'd be able to find real love and make love with that man. It seemed a little more possible now. She had a little bit more hope now. Rogue lifted her head to look over at Adam. It was then she realised his arm was around her shoulders. She frowned a little not sure how she should feel about his arms around her shoulders. She couldn't help but wonder if he just wanted to make her his because he could touch her. She forced herself though not to jump to conclusions. She didn't even know this guy well.
"So... uh, how did ya find out about your 'secondary' ability?"
It was then Rogue remembered their conversation before he distracted her. Damn. He was good at distractions.

"Before I got this ability, I was able to hide the fact that I was a mutant since my first ability was something that couldn't be easily recognized. Everything seemed to be going well for me until a few months ago when my dad accidentally brush his hand against mine when we were reaching for the same roll at dinner. I almost ended up killing him and my parents thought that I was as dangerous as the mutants on the news. So they ended up disowning me and I ended up joining the Brotherhood to get the rights that we mutants deserve by any means necessary " said Adam looking a bit angry as he talked about the part where his parents disowned him. That made up fact was the main motivation for Adam's character for joining the Brotherhood in the first place, and Adam knew that he needed to make that story as believable as possible.

Rogue listened as Adam spoke. Her earlier warning bells doubled in her head when Adam mentioned he had joined the brotherhood. It seemed the more she got to know Adam the more she felt like there was something wrong with him. What was he hiding? Unfortunately due to Rogue's curiousity she felt this need to find out. Not only that but she was an Xmen. If Adam was a threat to those who lived in the mansion or anyone else, then Rogue wanted to find out before he could do anything bad. Still, she did feel some sympathy when he mentioned his father. If that had happened then she knew she could relate. She also noticed that Adam didn't mention what his primary ability was. He was definately hiding something. Rogue forced herself to look apologetic though. She decided if she was going to find anything out she would have to appear that she didn't suspect anything. Maybe he'd slip up, and if not, well, she could just follow him.
"Ahm sorry... Ah know how it feels to hurt someone ya care about without knowing whats going on..."

"Thanks Rogue" said Adam after Rogue said she knew what it was like to hurt someone you care about without knowing what was going on. Adam though couldn't help but feel sorry for the young woman though since that actually never happened to him before. Hell, the first guy he used his ability on was some random guy that Weapon X found to test Adam's ability. "So, what's it like being in a school for mutants anyway?" asked Adam switching topics since he felt that like him, the character he played wouldn't like to talk about his problems for too long. Although a part of him was curious on what it was like to be in a school for mutants since he wanted to see the difference between the strict training regiment he went through with other mutants with Rogue's experience at school.

"Ah don't think ya should be asking me that question..."
Rogue responded quietly. It wasn't that she hated this place or anyone in it. She just really didn't like how others were scared of her because of her ability, and so she pretty much had no social life. She always felt like an outcast no matter where she was and it hadn't changed here. Of course Logan made her feel normal and accepted. She loved him. Being here though was better then being anywhere else. She had help in the form of Xavier when it came to controlling her powers. She was a part of the Xmen - she helped people who couldn't help themselves. She helped mutant kind. She protected humans. Being here was both good and bad for her. Rogue didn't think she could really answer the question Adam gave her. She didn't want to say the wrong thing, and besides, she had no idea what she would even say to that question anyway.

"Oh, I understand" said Adam thinking that she wasn't going to answer the question due to the fact that he was in the Brotherhood. After all, there might be some secrets that the X-Men didn't want other people to know, especially when there is something like Cerebro in the basement. Shortly after Adam said that, he suddenly realized that he never told Rogue what his initial ability was, which could lead Rogue to become very suspicious of him to the point where she might discover something that might blow his cover.
"Wow, I can't believe that I forgot to tell you about my initial ability. Do you know how some people are so good at smooth talking that they could sell a ketchup Popsicle to a woman wearing white gloves? Well, that's basically my ability, although it always activates whenever I'm trying to get something out of someone through talking. Don't worry though, I won't instill any of the Brotherhood's beliefs onto the other students. If I did, then that would make me no better than those annoying Jehovah witnesses that always try to get you to change your religion" explained Adam.

"When ah said you shouldn't ask me that question ah meant that ahm not the right person to ask."
Rogue clarified, just realising how her response could have been taken. She had to make out that she was completely oblivious to him hiding something and so Rogue knew she'd have to answer any question as best she could. Of course when it came to questions she shouldn't ask, like the Xmens secrets, she would of course lie or skirt around the question. She knew she couldn't let him know anything that could be used against them. Why had Xavier let him stay here? Rogue didn't understand, but then again maybe he was going with the saying 'keep your friends close, and your enemies closer'. She glanced up from her lap to look at Adam as he explained his primary ability. Now why did she get the feeling he had used this sort of charm ability on her? She wouldn't put it past him. Rogue didn't ask him or accuse him vocally though. No, that wouldn't do her any good.
"Oh wow, that sounds awesome."

"It may not have any combat capabilities, but it has allowed me to get out of trouble, even from the most unreasonable of people" said Adam looking quite surprised that she thought that it was cool. When he was first sent to Weapon X, nobody thought that his ability was that great since a telepath could basically get the same results and still be more useful in an actual fight. "So, is your name the one your parents gave you or something you came up with yourself after discovering your mutant ability" asked Adam who suddenly got the feeling that this question might be too personal.

"Ahm sure."
Rogue responded softly. She had no doubt such an ability could get him out of trouble a lot. Perhaps he had used the ability on her. After all he had successfully managed to distract her and briefly forget her previous accusation of him. Trouble. He was definately hiding something. She glanced at Adam as he asked about the name she had given him. Why would he ask that? What was so important about it? Despite feeling like Adam was bad news, Rogue knew nothing bad could happen from telling him what name the name she had given him was. After all, Magneto already knew her mutant name. If anyone wanted to find out about her and use her, well, they didn't really need to do much digging to find out her name and ability. After Magneto she didn't doubt that it was common knowledge around the villians of their world.
"Its meh mutant name."

"So how did you come up with that name?" asked Adam before he yawned. He would then take out a black cell phone and pressed a button on the side which made the small screen in front light up. On the screen, the time could be seen which indicated that it was now 1;45 am. That time already. I need to go to sleep soon or I might miss my contact at 8;30 thought Adam as he put the cell phone back in his pocket. The purpose for meeting the contact was to not only give a status on his mission so far, but to also indicate whether or not he was still alive, or if he ran away. After all, several Weapon X agents have gone rogue already and they weren't going to let someone like Adam escape like so many others before him.

"Ahm a killer even though ah don't wanna be. Ah will never belong anywhere. Hence Rogue."
Rogue noticed that Adam yawned and looked at his phone. He must be tired. It was then Rogue realised she had come down in the middle of the night for something to eat and work on the notices for the other students. Rogue let go of his hand and tucked some crimson hair behind her ear. She didn't know what she was going to do. She wanted to touch again, even if it was just Adam, but how could she trust him when she knew he was hiding something? Her life was always confusing. Complex. It was never just simple. She supposed though that she wouldn't be entirely happy if she had a simple life. Especially with her ability. She couldn't really have a normal life. She would just be in hiding pretty much. Yawning, she stretched her arms before standing up. It would probably be best if she went to sleep.
